Gems for downloading games

I see posts that players can get free gems for downloading games off the list. I don't seem to have this option. How do I get it?

They are not options you have any control over, Guppie, but promotions that Team Lava mount from time to time. You get a pop up. They are out of favour just now as there was a row between TL and Apple about them, Apple claiming it artificially boosted TL's download ratings.

Have your other matters sorted themselves OK ?
