New Suggestions For Farm

Starting a new suggestions thread. Please feel free to post any suggestions you have, and copy or repeat any suggestions you see. I based the polls on the most popular suggestion, and then submit the polls to GM.

Just letting everyone know - the polls will consist of new items and decor, but not game features. We are keeping a list of all game features suggested, so please keep adding to it. And don't forget, it does take time to implement new items and features. I'm looking forward to all the new suggestions! And keep adding to the theme thread as well!

Since there are already graphics created for the other stories games, could some of the graphics for those games be incorporated into our FARM STORY game?

Here are items with graphics already created from other Story games that may work on our FARM?. depends on your style, but there is more graphics already created out there.

A river that you can make go wherever you want on your farm. Like water tiles or something better then blue haybales

Water drops that dry up after a certain amount of time. The drops really ruin the appearance of the flowers , and I don't want to harvest them yet. The ones that cost gems to grow like roses and primroses are overwhelmed by the drops. Drops of water should evaporate. I like the idea of being able to water a neighbors withered crops. It's sad to visit and see their gardens all dried up.

I would love to have solid fence panels without see-through openings. Metal, pvc, or wood, doesn't matter. But a choice of color would be a plus. Same size as the existing fences would be great. :):):):)

I think cats should be available in the stores too. It would be nice if they were not just a gem price either. What if items/animals that were gem prices were also offered at very large coin (farm money) prices too. That way those who want the quick fix can purchase them and those that are dedicated farmers over a long period of time, still have the opportunity to have them too. Or if small amount of gems could be purchased for large sums of coins - 25 gems for 250,000?

I hate to burst your bubble, but cats will never be a coin item--no desirable animal is ever a coin item. Furthermore, gem items will never be sold for coins. The only exception to that was when the switched the covered well from a gem item to a constructible item.

I think asking for cats to be a coin item will cause TL to completely ignore your post/request.

However, we can both continue to hope and push and complain loudly on the forum about adding cats to the store.

When it finally gets here, it will be 40 or more gems because so many people want one. Will you pay nearly $10 for a little electronic picture of a tractor for your farm, hmmm......I think a lot of farmers will pass on it. Some really neat things need to be for coins. I would give a lot of coins but I won't spend much in gems.

What about a frog. Too small? Maybe so. Humming Bird, Robin ( for the colors), Squirrel, Raccoon, Black or Brown Bear, mountain lion (big cat), St. Bernard, Ocra, Radishes, Farmers market, Workshop (to fix the truck and tractor, every farm has one)(tool shed might work for this), forge (to go with the anvil), Hay, Cucumbers.

Since we have already have a truck and are working on ( at least I hope so) a tractor, how about a crop duster??? I can already see my gnomes flying over the farm, watering and fertilizing the crops, with the wind in their hair. Um... I mean, with the wind in their little pointy hats...

I must have looked like a real city slicker to them farmers taking photos of their farms and animals. I think they thought I was nuts... Stopping the car, backing up and getting out to take photos. It was impossible to explain that I wanted to take the photos for a virtual game. They looked at me like I was crazy. LOL! Who cares. I enjoyed myself.

I'm designing my farm loosely along a northern German landscape with windpower, thatched roofs and pathces of woods and I'd love to do more 'shaping' of my little palce.
And, btw, after five weeks of waiting and attempts at problem solving on the TL support side: Hello Forum!! :-)

Ok, if Sissy hollers for geese, I'm going to root for a bush (yeah, I'm on fire today). Ideally this bush would look like a smal scruffy tree without a trunk, take up less than one square and have a nice green colour. Similar in general to the hedge but much more natural looking. With a bush we can sperate fields, hide things we don't want to see, build 'hills' and lots of other stuff.

Mind you, a drywall would also give many farms a nice touch (Irish farming style)

Oh and their furniture in BS - the options there are eyewateringly tasteless.

Good idea about getting some landscaping options form CS, though. (Apart maybe from the willow tree - that one looks like it's straight from Call of Cthulhu) A lot of their buidings are really really nice.
It would be nice to just have more design variations that can used to shape totally different farms instead of just cluttering similar looking ones with single, expensive items. Right now we are making do with benches and hayballs. That has some great results, but still, more affordable variety would be great. (God, I so badly want some bushes and large rocks! Didn't think of that. some of my neighbors put flags together with colored bales of hay for Sweden. We should get Scandinavia their flags too! :)

My son's idea for Farm Story: A mill that makes bread!



Hi,
My son asked me this morning:
Why does Teamlava don't think of a mill that can make all kinds of bread for the Farm Story?

We live in Holland and we are use to have bread from the mill, so he came with that idea...
I think it's a great idea... the updates as a wind Turbine is useless it can make energy but in the game we can't do anything with it......
BTW: Wind turbines are also a Dutch invention but we can't get a Dutch flag in any story game!!

Ok, if Sissy hollers for geese, I'm going to root for a bush (yeah, I'm on fire today). Ideally this bush would look like a smal scruffy tree without a trunk, take up less than one square and have a nice green colour. Similar in general to the hedge but much more natural looking. With a bush we can sperate fields, hide things we don't want to see, build 'hills' and lots of other stuff.

I want a bush!

Mind you, a drywall would also give many farms a nice touch (Irish farming style)

I'd like to see a 2 hour crop, anything would do! More shorter time crops rather than endless days ones. Rhubarb has potential! River-type tiles like the ones in city would be so much better than using blue hay bales. Trees that actually look different instead of lots of child-drawing-of-tree repeats with just different fruit on, thats getting old quickly!

What I'd like to see most in Farm Story:
* water (some way of constructing a river or pond with tiles, that is.)
* instead of tapping to collect crops, a "tap and drag" feature would be heaps better (though I can understand that this would be SO difficult to incorporate!)
* and for emphasis again, WATER. How much longer will you keep us waiting, TL?

and for the record, water that can be bought with COINS. There are already plenty of cool items that cost gems, and from the amount of mystery box and gem items I see on some farms I'd say you guys are doing well enough money-wise to have water as a COIN item. That's fair, isn't it?
