No updates in my ap store available for iPad. I don't have any discovery chests options or anything. Did I miss something, somewhere ? What can I do?

You're probably running "Farm Story Summer" or one of the other versions. Just uninstall it and install the original Farm Story, not "FS Summer", "FS Snap" or "FS Flowers", just plain "Farm Story".

All your existing data will be intact and you'll have all the latest updates.

If I downloaded FS 1.6 and now have both summer and 1.6 on my ipod touch can I delete summer without losing anything?

Yes. Your data is not stored on your device so you won't lose anything even when you delete everything.
