Don't get experience for planting some crops

I have a HTC Android Incredible and lately I've noticed when I plant some crops the experience bar (or whatever it's called) doesn't move no matter how much I plant a particular crop. For example, I planted corn, grapes and rasberries. I've planted ALOT of them over several days and the bar never moved at all.

Anyone else have this problem?
