Constitution (7th Revision)

The Famous Peacock and Gooses Club


Rule 1. The name of the club shall be The Famous Peacock and Gooses Club or (when ladies are involved) The Famous Peafowl and Gooses Club ("the FPGC").
Rule 2. Membership is open to any player who owns an eligible fowl and does not fall foul of the Fowl Rule.
Rule 3. All appointments shall be democratically voted upon by all the members in open, fair and contested elections.
Rule 4. The President (for life) shall be Sissy.
Rule 5. The Joint Clerks and Secretaries (for life) shall be Harry and Archie.
Rule 6. Sissy is always right.
Rule 7. If Sissy is wrong, see Rule 6.
Rule 8. The Fowl Rule - an eligible fowl shall be any of a peafowl, a gooses, a swan, a crane, a flamingo, a turkey, a guineafowl or a capercaillie.
Rule 9. Er ... that's it.

What an elaborate dupe if the technology is sufficiently clever to remove it from those who got the limited and exclusive offer. If they're that clever, they can just sort the non-responding neighbour request now - should be a dawdle in comparison :)

The latest FS poll comes with the suggestion that more players would prefer swans over gooses. Curious given that we have no (official) water yet. Anyway, we at the FPGC will have to up our game here.

If we don't we'll have to change the name and that'll mean yet another revision to the Constitution. Cripes - the Joint Clerks will need some persuasion over that not to mention a whopping big overtime fee !

Hectorloch visited my farm and noticed my pet peacock. He's living in a meadow with Stinky the skunk and the for now nameless horse and unicorn. They'll get this done and republished ASAP. They're under a lot of pressure just now from a tidal wave of new clients wanting a Constitution for the emergent "Count to 3 Club". I've seen the notes; seems to be something to do with freedom of expression and the democratic process. However, don't be alarmed, Sissy - you may be assured we'll have none of that nonsense here :D:cool:

The Clerks have been out and about and have visited the farm of Heather Hill - down my wall if any of the Independent Auditors would like to visit - where they found Peacock Peter in good health and well treated. They are happy to propose that Peter and his owner be admitted to membership.

Well, we at the FPGC are fully trained on this modern PC and stuff - the Joint Clerks attended a seminar and gave us the gist - and so we avoid these gender traps. Not a word was said about Iris for example - other than that he was confused.

And PPP is most welcome - fully registered and everything (well, not fully paid up as such yet - we let them settle for a bit before hitting them with the subscription and the one time only annual levy notice) :)

I love the name too but it would work better for my goose ( female right?) just as soon as they arrive. So, I am just going to have to give my peacock a new name - he is still hiding behind the tree because he is so embarrased that I don't know the difference between a peacock and a peahen So I told him that he could be Morelli even if he has to be registered as PPP! He is considering my offer.

It was an ill fated promotion. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter the Deputy Clerk was dismissed for unreportable behaviour. But things move slowly at the FPGC and while I'm told I'm high on the list for re-assignment, it hasn't happened yet. The position of Deputy Clerk might be dispensed with but the Time and Motion Inspectors are still compiling their report. So, I'm in a bit of a limbo jobwise.

Ha ha I spent the winter in London once and all public transportation shut down one day because of a few inches of snow. I'm from Canada. We get 6 feet of snow, get out the shovel to find the car, and away we go.

Right, I thought I was on the weather channel there for a minute. The winds have blown. The weather cowardly British are emerging from their left over bomb shelters (mainly because they are all flooded now) and the Joint Clerks have come out from under the bed - all just in time for tonight's demonstration which I see has another aquatic element to it. It reminds us that not only do we not have gooses on our farms, we have no constructible (sic) water either.
