Buying Gems with Itunes giftcards?

Hi,

I got some Itunes giftcards for my birthday and i was wondering if i could buy gems with those? Did anyone try this or are these cards only meant to buy songs from Itunes or apps from the Appstore?

How does this work?

Yes, you can use them. I think they can be used for any in game purchase, as well as anything iTunes or the app store offer (I haven't heard of something that someone couldn't buy at least). I use them myself. What I do is on the computer, enter in the card number, then go into the payment options and make sure it's the only payment available. If you currently have a credit card attached in there, I believe it's as simple as unchecking a box to not use it. Just to double check, once you have loaded the card in there, log into iTunes from your device. You should see your balance.
