HOW EASY APPLIANCES WORK:

First of all I want to say that I wrote this guide only from personal testing I made last days.
So there may be some errors, or TeamLava could make an upgrade so that they change the rules of the game (as it actually happened with last update on 10th of June...)

Ok, let's have a look to easy appliances and how they work.

First of all, they are easy because they need only one tap to start cooking food, and one tap to serve it on the counters.
In other words they just cut down tapping time, but NOT the cooking time: it's still the same.

You have to buy one of them (stove, oven or grill), and it will cost 10.000 coins.
For example you can buy an easy stove:

Once you got it you have to place it in a free space, like a normal appliance, and what you'll get will be a box with spare parts inside:

With double tap this window will pop up:

You can see that it needs 20 parts to complete.
You can FREE ask for these parts to your neighbors, or you can buy them with gems: every part will cost 2 gems, so it comes to a total of 40 gems.
If you got parts from neighbors before buying the easy appliance, you'll find them already inside, just like the paint above.
If you tap "Ask friends" you'll get the next window:

You can tick your neighbors to request parts from them (I deleted names from the picture) and then press Send. You can ask only one part to every neighbor once a day.

When your neighbors accept your request all the parts will go straight in the box.
But if your neighbors will gift you with parts, by pressing the "Gift" button, you will get them in the "News feed" list, just like the other food gifts. So you have to accept them, as you do with food.

Once you got all needed parts this is the window you finally should see (this is for an oven):

So all you need is to tap "Build it!" button and that's all!

Now I'm going to point out to you some things I learned by carrying out some tests by myself.

- Food gifts and parts gifts are separate (with the exception I'll explain later).

- You can receive max 20 parts a day.

- If you send a part to a neighbor of yours (by tapping "accept" button) you cannot send him other parts until next day. But after all he can send to you only one part request on that day.

- Part request coming from your neigbors will pop up in News Feed list. You only have to click on "Accept" and parts will be send to them.

- When you receive a part from your neighbors (not your request, but a real gift like food) you have to press "Accept", just like food, and it will pop up that: "You can find it by going to "My Gifts" from the main menu".
This NOT true: in My Gift list you'll find only gift food, while parts will go straight in the box you are building.

- I'm sure about this: part gifting and part requesting is totally free, neither coins nor gems.

- If you are NOT building an easy appliance and you receive gift parts, you can accept them: these parts will wait "somewhere" until you will actually get an easy appliance, and you'll find them already inside the box.

I said before that food gifts and parts gifts are separate This is true only for parts that are actually requested from neighbors. Let's make an example.
Your friend Groupmagma (!) is building an easy oven and he sends you a request for one Gear. You click "Accept" and a gear will be sent to him and it will go straight in his easy oven.
This part will not interfere with your normal gifting for that day.
As a matter of fact you can still gift him by pressing the Gift button, and you can choose to gift him with another part (INSTEAD of food): this second part will pop up in his "Gift list" together with other food gifts Groupmagma received on that day.
This way you can gift two parts to your neighbors every day, even if it's a bit tricky...

Please add only news you actually tested by yourself, not only things like "Parts gifting is gem decreasing!" (this is definitely not true).

Edit: a few additional pieces of information.
1. When trying to purchase any of the appliances (including the drink machine), it helps to tap on the top part, away from the hammer.
2. After placing it, it's best to tap the very bottom of the box to gain access to it.
3. When trying to access the cardboard box after purchasing, you may need to move it or the items around it to access. If you don't want it sitting by itself the whole time, simply move it, access to check how many parts or send requests out, then place it back where you would like to have it.
4. Chef hats and exp are exactly the same as regular appliances, though they may appear different when you are tapping.

I would like to make a small correction. In my experience, I can send two constructible parts to the same neighbors. First you have to send a part as daily gift then accept his/her request. as long as he/she haven't received 20 daily gift and 20 requested gift, the parts will go through. At least I assume it goes through since I don't get a message letting me know otherwise. If I reverse the order, it does not work like you said.

I've seen it argued from both sides - so this is what I've noticed from using them, though others had different. I would gain less exp, but still the same number of "chefs hats" (for leveling up the food). Others had less chefs hats, but the correct exp. That was from over a month ago, I haven't checked recently.

1.Click Machine
2.Choose 1 part and click on it
3.Tap Ask Friends
4.Your neighbor list will show, send a request for each neighbor
5.wait to receive gifts in 1 day
6.sign will show complete when you get all parts
7.next day pick new part to build, send request for parts again to friends.
8. There are 4 different parts needed to finish

Can you sell a regular stove and buy an easy stove without losing an appliance slot. I want to upgrade all my normal appliances to easy appliances.

I have 18 easy ovens and 18 basic ovens in Bakery Story, but can only have 18 in my bakery at one time.

It can take time to build an easy stove, so you may want to just store your basic one in inventory rather than selling it. You may need that stove in the future when you can get another appliance.

If you buy an easy stove it will come in a cardboard box. You will need 20 parts to be able to build it. While you are building it, it takes up an appliance spot in your restaurant/bakery. If that is a problem, you can ask your neighbors to gift you parts, and when you get the 20 parts that you need, then buy the stove, build it immediately, and you can use it immediately.

The advantage of not having all the parts when you buy your easy stove is that while it is in the cardboard box, you can request parts from your neighbors. These parts are in addition to the parts you get from gifts. You can get up to 20 parts a day from requests and up to 20 parts a day from gifts. Food's been sitting on my appliances for about a week (been busy with the race, haven't checked RS lately). Popped in to see the update, expected to see a bunch of flies, instead saw food ready to be served.

I'm not sure if this helps - on the games I don't play (like NS) the drinks there are still waiting to be served. I open it everyday to get the daily bonus in case I want to play one day, but they're just still sitting there. Both devices for me - iOS and Android.

I might have to try out that one about the easy appliances - I'm cooking some 1 hour things, maybe I'll wait a few hours to check on them ;)

Here's something my daughter just noticed: when food is cooked with an easy oven, the used plate disappears from the table as soon as it is consumed. Most plates take about 20 or 25 seconds to disappear.

Under "My Gifts" parts are only shown so you can see how many you have. You would still built the appliances the same way. When building, the number of parts you have for that appliance should be the same as the number showing in My Gifts.

You can get up to 20 parts through the request system by asking neighbors from within the constructable, and up to 20 parts through the gift system. So up to 40 parts a day, 2 easy ovens per day, best case scenario,

Just have a try: put a couple of stove in storage and you'll see that you can buy two different new appliances, like drink machines and sushi counters.

If you are on Android, they are not available (not sure if they will be brought over to Android).

If you are on iOS, try downloading the Xmas version from the app store.

I have a suggestion. I you need a total of 20 parts, one thing you can do is ask 5 or 10 friends for one kind of part, then 5-10 of the second part, etc. This way, your not getting WAY more parts then you need to build your appliance, plus you get the parts faster then asking all of your friends for the same part.
This is mostly helpful if you have a decent number of friends/neighbors.
For example, if I need 5 screws, 5 metal sheets, 5 motors, and 5 springs ( I just mentioned random parts, btw), then I may ask 10 friends for each part. Assuming I have 40 friends/neighbors. This is very helpful as well just in case some of your neighbors are unable to play the game that particular day. By asking 10 neighbors for each part, if 4 of your friends you ask do not play the game that day, well then you can still hope the other 6 people will play and *TA-DA!* 6 screws/metal sheets/motors (whatever you requested) is yours!

BS works pretty much the same, and in this thread you'll find the chart that shows what appliance needs what parts.

I just wish us Android users had a part counter that the Iphone users have so when know when to attempt to build something instead of having to request we can just wait to build an item rather than having an appliance down. Also it makes Zero sense that you can only receive 20 gifts or 20 requested parts?!?!? Why I have 250 friends and there really isn't any need other than some might not be playing when I need the part?

When you tap on it, do not tap the hammer, try tapping in upper left hand corner. Also make sure you have enough space to place it.

You can receive 20 gifts a day - parts or food. You can decline any of them, and accept only those you want. Once you've accepted them, the only way to get rid over them is to build something that uses them.

I did a little experiment today and kept track of what I requested and my gifts, plus inventory. I think it is safe to say the extra requested parts go into inventory. YAY! Thanks for your help everyone!

If you have a food item locked as "goal", it was from one of the past holiday goals and isn't available any longer. I really wish TL would just remove those from our lists in the games, since we'll never get them unlocked and they just get in the way when an item we were able to unlock is past those on the list. *sigh*

Not to burst your bubble, but I doubt it. The TL blog even posted about it not being available to Androids and Kindles just the other day, and this time they didn't even state "maybe someday". They just stated they didn't have that option. To me that states "you're not getting it so quit asking". But I could be having another "moment". :(

You will have another one - but it's much better to just store it. You can have a certain number of appliances on the floor, but storage doesn't have a limit.

OH! There it is :) Although it's not so complete it really helped. Ive been sortin through my inventory deciding on what appliance to build next based on what I already have :) We all know how hard can it be sometimes to "wait" for gifts and mat requests to be accepted ^_^ Or maybe I'm just that impatient? I need some advice. I tried to get a new oven and when I tried to buy it a notice said build from scratch with the help of friend. however when I tapped a free space nothing happened, I tried about six times and then gave up and bought a different oven. has anyone else had this problem ?

Make sure that you click on the appliance and not the little icon in the corner. Clicking the icon gives you the message you've reported.

Which ones? Do they say "Goal"? The ones on this page (http://supremedynasty.com/tl/rest_applparts_list.html) that say "Removed" (in red) are still available on other versions, but some of them were goal items, if you didn't unlock them during the goals, they're locked for good. The ones that say "Goal Item" and "Limited" (in green and blue) are on the regular version, but again, are locked for good if you didn't unlock them before the goals expired.

Yes, if you buy an additional slot, you can have 19 appliances out at once.

When you tap on it, it should say "Tap again to manage". If its not saying that, either you haven't quite tapped it, or its not syncing. Try restarting your device.

I used to struggle with constructable appliances when I had few neighbors. Having more neighbors gives you a higher chance of getting a part.

If you've been accepting parts gifts, they're in your inventory now (main menu - My Gifts), and anything in there is counted. If you already have enough, your 'Build it!' button will be lit up when you tap to manage your box. If it still needs more, it'll show you exactly how many of which ones, and have a separate 'Ask' button for each one. You can send up to 20 requests per day; if you send more than that, they'll clog up and take longer to get out to your nbrs and back to you, so it's best to choose your 20 most active nbrs for requests and only send to them.

This chart (http://supremedynasty.com/tl/rest_applparts_list.html) will show you which appliances take which parts so you can check your inventory and see if you've got what you need. (Here's the BS one (http://supremedynasty.com/tl/bakery_applparts_list.html) if you play that too.)

If you're trying to buy and build the oven, you need to tap away from the middle of the oven icon. I tap in the upper left corner on the coin and then I can tap the floor in my restaurant to place it. Then you can request the needed parts from your nbrs if you don't have them all.

Click the middle or upper left corner of the appliance's pic, away from the hammer in the corner, then it'll let u place the box instead of giving u that popup about asking ur nbrs for help. :)

Go back into design mode, to the appliance tab, store appliances that aren't cooking anything, then select and place whichever ones you want to use. You'll see a tiny number in the corner of the icon showing how many you have. :-)

HOW EASY APPLIANCES WORK:

First of all I want to say that I wrote this guide only from personal testing I made last days.
So there may be some errors, or TeamLava could make an upgrade so that they change the rules of the game (as it actually happened with last update on 10th of June...)

Ok, let's have a look to easy appliances and how they work.

First of all, they are easy because they need only one tap to start cooking food, and one tap to serve it on the counters.
In other words they just cut down tapping time, but NOT the cooking time: it's still the same.

You have to buy one of them (stove, oven or grill), and it will cost 10.000 coins.
For example you can buy an easy stove:

Once you got it you have to place it in a free space, like a normal appliance, and what you'll get will be a box with spare parts inside:

With double tap this window will pop up:

You can see that it needs 20 parts to complete.
You can FREE ask for these parts to your neighbors, or you can buy them with gems: every part will cost 2 gems, so it comes to a total of 40 gems.
If you got parts from neighbors before buying the easy appliance, you'll find them already inside, just like the paint above.
If you tap "Ask friends" you'll get the next window:

You can tick your neighbors to request parts from them (I deleted names from the picture) and then press Send. You can ask only one part to every neighbor once a day.

When your neighbors accept your request all the parts will go straight in the box.
But if your neighbors will gift you with parts, by pressing the "Gift" button, you will get them in the "News feed" list, just like the other food gifts. So you have to accept them, as you do with food.

Once you got all needed parts this is the window you finally should see (this is for an oven):

So all you need is to tap "Build it!" button and that's all!

Now I'm going to point out to you some things I learned by carrying out some tests by myself.

- Food gifts and parts gifts are separate (with the exception I'll explain later).

- You can receive max 20 parts a day.

- If you send a part to a neighbor of yours (by tapping "accept" button) you cannot send him other parts until next day. But after all he can send to you only one part request on that day.

- Part request coming from your neigbors will pop up in News Feed list. You only have to click on "Accept" and parts will be send to them.

- When you receive a part from your neighbors (not your request, but a real gift like food) you have to press "Accept", just like food, and it will pop up that: "You can find it by going to "My Gifts" from the main menu".
This NOT true: in My Gift list you'll find only gift food, while parts will go straight in the box you are building.

- I'm sure about this: part gifting and part requesting is totally free, neither coins nor gems.

- If you are NOT building an easy appliance and you receive gift parts, you can accept them: these parts will wait "somewhere" until you will actually get an easy appliance, and you'll find them already inside the box.

I said before that food gifts and parts gifts are separate This is true only for parts that are actually requested from neighbors. Let's make an example.
Your friend Groupmagma (!) is building an easy oven and he sends you a request for one Gear. You click "Accept" and a gear will be sent to him and it will go straight in his easy oven.
This part will not interfere with your normal gifting for that day.
As a matter of fact you can still gift him by pressing the Gift button, and you can choose to gift him with another part (INSTEAD of food): this second part will pop up in his "Gift list" together with other food gifts Groupmagma received on that day.
This way you can gift two parts to your neighbors every day, even if it's a bit tricky...

If you have other informations or news about easy appliances feel free to add one post here so that everyone can read it.
Please add only news you actually tested by yourself, not only things like "Parts gifting is gem decreasing!" (this is definitely not true).

Edit: a few additional pieces of information.
1. When trying to purchase any of the appliances (including the drink machine), it helps to tap on the top part, away from the hammer.
2. After placing it, it's best to tap the very bottom of the box to gain access to it.
3. When trying to access the cardboard box after purchasing, you may need to move it or the items around it to access. If you don't want it sitting by itself the whole time, simply move it, access to check how many parts or send requests out, then place it back where you would like to have it.
4. Chef hats and exp are exactly the same as regular appliances, though they may appear different when you are tapping.

Are you having problems placing it? If so, be sure you are tapping in the upper left corner & then tapping to place in your restaurant. If you tap anywhere else you just get the popup message about the appliance.

You place the appliance & when you tap the box to build it, you request the parts from your neighbors. The request then appears in the neighbors message log.

Also I make it a habit to NEVER DECLINE ANY GIFTED PARTS. I don't really care what the part is here in RS I accept them. There's not a limit to how much we can have in storage so go for it. On some of the more common parts, ie screws, paint gears, I've got over 200 ea. For the past couple of challenges I've been able to build multiple appliances wo having to ask for a part.

Don't sell your appliances. And no you don't get any parts back, you lose them.

If you need a slot for a different appliance just store it. You can store all you have and then buy different ones to put in your restaurant if that's what you want.

If you've been accepting parts gifts, they're in your inventory now (main menu - My Gifts), and anything in there is counted. If you already have enough, your 'Build it!' button will be lit up when you tap to manage your box. If it still needs more, it'll show you exactly how many of which ones, and have a separate 'Ask' button for each one. You can send up to 20 requests per day; if you send more than that, they'll clog up and take longer to get out to your nbrs and back to you, so it's best to choose your 20 most active nbrs for requests and only send to them.

This chart (http://supremedynasty.com/tl/rest_applparts_list.html) will show you which appliances take which parts so you can check your inventory and see if you've got what you need. (Here's the BS one (http://supremedynasty.com/tl/bakery_applparts_list.html) if you play that too.)

I accepted parts as gifts, now that I'm building a stove the build doesn't seem to use the parts I already have...for instance I still need 3 red knobs, there are 3 sitting in my gifts section (they've been there for a while). I also asked for knobs, I have accecpted some and they went to the building of the stove, yet the ones already in my gifts section are not doing anything. And when I click on them it states that "Red knob is a contructable patprt and can not be served".. What am I doing wrong?

How many red knobs do you actually need to build your new appliance? What does it say in the box?

If you do not have the needed number of parts then they really will just stay in storage until you get 5/5 (if ever you need 5) and clicked BUILD. The ones that are in your gifts section or storage will remain there till you actually use them in building stuff. I am guessing you do not yet have the number of needed red knobs.
