Blocking customers but food on counter still going

I am blocking customers coming in so i can build up food on the counter. But the food is still going/eaten although there is no customers coming in, I am getting the coins for it but its not letting me build up food. (working through android)

Try switching out what you're using to block the door.

Don't use the podium to block the door. I've heard a counter works best, followed by a chair.
