Expand restaurant rate?

I wonder the rate to expand to 19*22 worth 40gems, its mean i pay 40gems then the results is my restaurant area will be expanded to 19x22??? Is it correct? Somebody pls help me because i dont wanna wast the gems for the bad result

Depends on which level you currently are on? If your restaurant is 18x21 then you pay 40 gems to get to 19x22. Otherwise you pay 40 gems to expand 1x1

Unless you're in a hurry, it's not worth it to upgrade size with gems. When you get to higher levels there really isn't much to spend your coin on at all, whereas gems can buy exclusive decorations.

You will literally end up with millions of coins and nothing to spend it on.
