Saving tables

If a neighbor send the same gift which I have already on my serving table can I put it on the same table so as to save the other tables for a different kind of dish. Kinda new in this restaurant story.. :confused:

What usually happens is if there is an open counter, the new item (whether gift or off stove, etc.) will be placed on an empty counter. When you go to place another item, when your counters are full, like items will be placed together and new item will be placed on one of the then empty counters.

If all counters have different types of food, then you'll need to buy more.
