missing food

Just wondering how some people can cook apple pie and some can't.I see apple pie in some of my friends bakery.but i can't cook any .is there a reason why?Thank you

You have to reach a certain level of gameplay for certain foods to appear in your menu. As you get closer to those game levels, new foods will appear at the end of the queue, but they're grayed out until you reach the levels posted underneath them (i.e., Level 24, etc.).
