Crop Mastery Leaves

I have noticed that my leaves are displayed in various shades, as hopefully shown in the following photo...

Tomato has 1 leaf, Pomegranate has none, and Cranberry has all 4. But the first leaf is bold, whereas the other 3 are very feint.

Is there a reason for this?

Thanks Ginger. And sorry for asking the same question. Haven't been on the forum for a while and completely forgot to check. I'm gonna sit in the tool shed with the gnomes as punishment!
