Materiual Requests and gifts - wiring & paint

Hi .
For the first time today I noticed material requests and gifts appearing in the newsfeed. I have never come across this before.
what is this all about and where do you find or use these gifts?

You find the items to use these on in your build section and u send by using neighbor list their in withnthe other gifts and used for constructible itmes. Like in ZS.

HELP!!!! I have the building materials for constructing my bank, police station and fire station in my inventory for City Story. However, I can't get them out. Some just appeared but I need one more concrete and have it in inventory but can't get it. How do you get it to the bank

Oh, I got ahead of myself. If they sent a request for a part (wiring, spring, etc.), I think you should see in the News Feed some waffles with a description of what they need. All you have to do is Accept the Material Requested, it will send it to them automatically.

The problem I have is that nothing happens when I click on the box of easy oven parts! Nothing opens. I can't sell it or even move it & I downloaded restaurant story last week!

20 of each but it totaled 40 to complete? I guess a bug in the display.

Sometimes I get a grey square with the Tap Again message, so I tap on something else then tap twice on the Easy Appliance and it opens up. It's not perfect. You can't move it until it it built.

Mine went from 10 each of 4 parts (motor, spring, nozzle, wiring) to 5 each of 4 different other parts (paint, screw, knob, gear) and that was with the same easy stove on two different days back to back. I don't believe there is an equal set number of parts for each easy appliance.

Here's something weird: I needed screws for the easy oven and I hadn't been receiving screws. I kept looking but they never showed up from my neighbors and now I checked back with the oven to see what more I needed and the screws are all complete. I'm wondering if something got mixed around and they showed a different picture and name for the items but they turned into screws?
I keep sending out requests for the stuff I still need but I keep getting the stuff I already completed.

But now total number of parts is equal for each easy appliance: 20.
