You need to buy the purple cafe for coins. You have the option of buying the pink (romantic) cafe for gems to help you with the event. These buildings are always decoration once the event is complete. However, it will give you a second place to craft what is needed during the event.

As I am sure you noticed, all of the event items as well as the adventure are in the event building. The normal places to craft event items will not be used for the event. If you spend gems, you can craft 2 things at once. This is like having 2 Workshops or Magic Forges instead of one.
Another advantage is that you do not have to choose craft or adventure. You can do both if you use gems to buy the second building. Some people have 1 cafe build the event items and the second cafe for more chances to go on the adventure.

I did not buy the second cafe, but hope this explanation helps people better understand the choices for the event.

Mean Beans are found by harvesting crops (corn seems to be what people prefer, fast and no dire boar).

A different monster starts in Goal 9. (See “Shoo away a Hairy Cat” in A Close Shave.)
You will go on an adventure in the castle. When you collect, a monster will spawn. That monster is the Coffee Nut. It looks like you fight it 4 times.

I recall really struggling with event set up in the past so I bought the extra craft building. My hopes is I can do as many Latte Decorations as possible in the hopes of getting extra event items, specifically Tea Bags.

It's given pretty good drops, multiples of various event items (but only 1 Tea Bag thus far) and I've gotten 2 different Coffee Gnomes.

It seems that all the gnomes are called Coffee Gnome and have the same inventory info and 3 hour timers which is weird to me.

You will go on an adventure in the castle. (Last event was the Castle, unconfirmed for this event.) When you collect, a monster will spawn. I am guessing that monster is the Mean Beans. It looks like you fight it 4 times.

Sometimes I get more fangbeast spawns than espresso golems, not happy. If you want the mean bean, it is another extra 500 cold brews making it 1000 cold brews. How tedious!

Another one golem from my 15 and no steamed milk. I spent gems for the extra coffee pot and it did not drop what was needed :-(

I think the mob is goal 11 because I'm on goal 12 and trying to collect the steamed milk. I get 1-3 (usually just one) Espresso monster for my 15 farmhouses and it's been consistently the third one defeated gives the milk.

The coin coffee pot and the gem espresso machine seem to only give the plain coffee every other 4 hour collection :-( I accidentally gemmed the gem one and it did not give me the needed plain coffee. It was my third collection and my first collection also didn't give it

My advice and reason for posting about the second 10 minute adventure was a warning that more 10 minute adventures are likely and do NOT go on another adventure. Maybe SpiritWind can put the warning on the first page so people know not to go on an adventure. It's always best to not go on an adventure before a new event.

I finally got my 8th steamed milk. I thought I would try to get more since I still need the plain coffee and figured I would need more than one. I fought and defeated a fangbeast and then "poof" energy gone and the Espresso monster was there. Hopefully he'll drop the 8th milk again. It did not give me the final steamed milk. I got THREE Fangbeasts and another Espresso and that one gave me the 8th.

Hi Giselle,

No resource is needed at all to trigger the adventure. It is blank. It completes in only 10 minutes.
Make sure you have no monster in your realm when you collect from the adventure.

I would suggest you continue crafting Simple Coffee / Novel Draft / Chai in the Quaint Caf? in the meantime. You will need 10 / 3 / 5 of each very soon after.

Yep - even after crafting one, the crafts stay until you reach the max of 4 or until the crafts run out on the 21st.

Not only the requirements change in the middle of Part 2 of the mystical desert event, they end up being almost double if we compare to the previous event with similar format.
We do our best to ask for clarification (or at least some sort of confirmation) before the weekend starts, but of course no feedback / no response from anyone at S8 / zero communication from anyone.

To answer your question regarding the "coffee pots" this is not a guaranteed dropper, the stats under the math table say this has a 33% chance to drop the black coffee (we need 4, therefore we need on average a minimum of 48 hours to find these 4 black coffee items)

The strategy here is simple, we should continue crafting the required amount of Simple Coffee / Novel Draft / Chai in the quaint cafe while we wait for the black coffee to drop (i.e 14 / 4 / 6) unless the requirements change in the meantime... yes of course this can happen

I can understand bugs, rollbacks, mistakes can happen and this is perfectly acceptable, but changing the code in the middle of the game, without a single piece of communication / explanation of what's going on / clarification of what fix to put in place, is an absolute disgrace, and a huge lack of respect towards SpiritWind and ShibuyaCloth who are doing their best to inform us in the dark. I don?t really understand the way this company operates. I also would think they would offer items for sale for fewer gems, bringing in a lot more players willing to spend. For example, the romantic cafe for 150 gems. Even while gems are on sale, this is about the equivalent to $5 USD. That?s ridiculous. And I feel that S8 doesn?t really listen to their customers concerns. Their business model is declining in my view.

I did not spawn too many mean beans (just enough for required tampers) because of the madam makeda weekend, too energy and time intensive fighting so many different and unwanted spawns! May try that now but I tend to spawn only 2 or 3 mean beans per 60 plots. The farmhouses have a poor spawn rate too.

Spawn rate for mean beans post weekend has improved for me so planting corn with fervour!

Yes, like what kolakid and I have experienced, no ticket. But if you look on first page, SW has detailed the goals and only 3 tickets are required at the end and those goals with ticket drops after the adventure have a mention of tickets in the goals.

It is pretty brutal!

And I just saw the new Value Pack doesn't offer any of the Coffee Pot/Espresso Machine drops which seems to be the biggest bottleneck. How does that make sense? Instead, the VP is offering easy to get materials, a few choppables; the only worthwhile material I can see is the 8 Tea Bags - none of which seem worth the cash they're asking.

I think it would make more sense for someone to use that same amount of money to buy gems and speed up timers for the materials instead. I mean, Ivy's Hut would only take 48 gems at most to get those 8 tea bags and you'd still have gems leftover to buy the Espresso Machine and up your chances for those harder to get drops. But that's just my reasoning....

No and spawn rate is low. If you are after coldbrew, the mean bean spawns drop them too, 2-3 per spawn, vs 1 from golem. Just plant corn and harvest them.

So it seems that this event really isn't for anyone who doesn't have banked energy or lots of energy droppers. Anyone relying on the 40 energy every 2 hour refills isn't going to be able to get 330 energy per day if they take time to sleep.

Agree that the events seem impossible to finish without using/buying gems. Also, why the significant difference in high level and low level requirements?! When drop rates are 1/3, the additional items needed translate to a lot of time. Just b/c one is a high level player doesn’t mean we have gem droppers to ‘speed up’ timers. I can never get them [when they are offered] b/c I can’t complete the tasks! I have played several years, enjoy the graphics and storylines, but wish the events were more ‘user friendly’ and consistent I.e. all players have the same requirements, drop rates, and chance to win the ‘extras’ from adventures.

For those of you still waiting on the tea bag, black coffee and glimmercano drops, please consider doing the latte decoration adventure in the quaint or romantic cafe if you have spare golden eggs. Not only do you have a generous chance at gnomes and caffeas rubiacious, you have material drops like tea bags and I once got a novel draft!

Sorry, bad luck! Perhaps I should have phrased it differently, generous chance at gnomes in comparison to the very rare adventure prize drops in the queen’s court or king’s keep. I did get quite a few gnomes with duplicates. Very surprised with the novel draft drop.

I agree. I?ve been playing for years and love the game. The events feel like they are getting harder to finish unless you have unlimited energy or spend money. You also can?t have a job and must be on all the time. I may just do what others are starting to do and only play certain events. It?s just not as fun anymore. Higher level players are definitely feeling it.

I have all the black coffee I need, and them some. It is funny - now that I am past the goal that needed them and now need the glimmercano (or whatever it is called), I get a black coffee every time I collect from the coffee machine, but have only gotten 1 of the glimmer thing in the 24 hours I have been on this goal. Just need 4 more tea bags, 2 more mugs, and 2 glimmercano. And time to craft everything.

I would like to get one, but since I'm not participating, I can't. However, I agree that this is silly. Yes, some items have a cap of one, but that is usually energy producing items, I thought. I really like the Espresso Golem, but I don't think I could get enough cold brews or whatever to be able to craft one. Love the look of the Cold Brews, though! Every time I see one in my storage it makes me want to run to the coffee shop and get one even thought the temperatures here are below freezing.

I really feel like S8 is cutting back and being less generous. Events seem more laborious and give us prizes with 5 or 7 day collection times instead of daily. Remember the days when at the end of an event, there would be a little "bonus" item that we could buy in a little bundle with coins or gems or something for $1.99 that fit in with the theme of the event? We haven't had one of those in maybe a year now. Did we receive a Christmas gift? I don't remember one. They almost forgot to acknowledge their own anniversary until someone in the forum mentioned it and they gave us the "Medieval Band" gift. The Baron's Tent prizes don't have great drops anymore, although I do really like that we can get a free energy produding item after acquiring 4 of the tent items. They just removed the Spin to Win in Fantasy Forest Story - we had it for over a year and now, poof! - just gone. No response to tickets I sent a month ago. I feel like they should be transparent with us and let us know if some of these features will be coming back. Also, as I've mentioned before, there used to be polls at the end of events asking players how they liked different aspects of the events, like the prizes, the format, etc. I think they should bring that back or at least read the forum to see what is being said instead of leaving everything up to SpiritWind to report back to them. It really wouldn't take that long - maybe 15 minutes for a staff person to read the event threads once a day and make notes of problems and complaints and report that information back to the team. Surely they have a Quality Control or Quality Improvement team, right?

The poll can have a max of 13 short questions. Perhaps to help me, would you like to create a new thread and we all come up with the type of feedback we'd like to provide back to the team.
The questions have to be written in a specific way too. I'll post my examples in that new thread to help. Once the questions are organised it's then a matter of having a name of the poll, setting the expiry date, and I'd have to manually enter each question. I don't want to derail this thread with responses to either of our posts so (anyone) can start a new thread to start discussions. :)

This is the first time I've ever decided not to finish an event and I've been playing from the beginning. What's the point? I don't see how I can finish and it is certainly not any fun trying. These are getting way too hard and not fun...and I have endless energy (and probably more time than most). Makes me sad.

SpiritWind, I never meant for you to have to do polls. I wasn't even playing Castle Story until 3 years ago. I was referring to further back in time when they did polls all the time in Fantasy Forest Story and I thought Dragon Story. So please don't feel like I was asking you to take on extra work! <3

One on my ninth pick up. (28 hours)
And, pleasant surprise, one on my tenth pickup. I was resigned to the long haul.
S8, (if you're trying to slow us down) could I suggest that it would less annoying, picking up once every 24 hours with a guaranteed drop.

Did the number of Coldbrews dropped by the Espresso Golems and Mean Beans change? For the last several days, they had been dropping anything from one to four Coldbrews when I battled them, but now that I'm on the last goal, they're only dropping one each time I defeat them.

Well said! This game is a full-time job 24/7 and every day the events are ongoing. Why make it so hard for us? I love this game, but I also have a work in real life too. And?. Sleeping once in a while is also required. So please come on S8, figure out the time needed to finish tasks, then make sure its doable without playing 24/7. Maybe this is a wanted strategy to make more players using gems and money to finish. But I think you just end up with tired, sad and angry players, who finally will quit playing. So nobody wins? I hope all the complaints are taken seriously, because this is a really great game!

I?ve wasted energy on skunkpines, fangbeasts and all manner of goblins trying to get the actual monsters I need to finish. At this rate, it?s not possible. I bought gems and tried to use them wisely, but it?s a waste of money. I won?t be offended if/when my comment is removed. I?m just a years long player and customer with an opinion.

I finished the event with 397 cold brews and agree that the prizes are not worth the time and energy it would take to reach 500, let alone 1000. Otherwise the event went fairly smoothly for me. I was lucky that my first two tries got me glimmercanos, but then it took about six more tries to get the third one.

Nothing wrong with what you've said! I stopped playing half way too cause I just didn't have the time to commit to this event. And I think that's perfectly ok to stop or not even begin an event because knowing your limitations in admirable. :)

I gave up on this too. I realised I didn't like the artwork (it doesn't fit with my kingdom) and I didn't need any of the drops. It was just too much to do (and I have over 100k energy and loads of resources!).

It made me reassess my gameplay actually. I'm bored with all these identikit events so I'm going to deal with the few goals (seeker coin ones and the council scroll ones) and see where that leaves me.

Just a quick note about the council scrolls….I was following along with post #3 that says it’s 5 council scrolls that are the reward for each goal that rewards the scrolls (including goal 18 and 19), so it was a pleasant surprise to find that actually the reward for goal 18 is 10 council scrolls and the reward for goal 19 is also 10 council scrolls (so not just 5 for those last 2 goals)! :)

Oh no, how awful! I have grouped the buildings that spawn these around the top & left perimeter of my board, so I am less likely to tap one by mistake. And I also am in the habit of having an Event Monster parked, until I am ready for the next one. Remember the Troll Sparring Pit has I think a 5 hour timer so can be used twice during a day, and the trolls are only 5 hits to clear. I keep mine by my Cloudberry Bushes, that also spawn monsters frequently. The top left corner of my board is sort of Monster Spawning Land.

You were lucky my experience was every Glimmercano took about 6 tries to get. That was the real hangup, not Ivy's hut. At a 4-hour collection time that is 1 day, assuming no sleep to get each glimmercano, which is insane.

they named this event right it is a GRIND. I absolutely hated it. I have plenty of energy and could easily get the robot or snake plant, but I'm not going to, I have had enough. Not that I'm quite finished the novel is brewing overnight. I usually don't miss anything because I'm a completionist, but with this event, yeah just enough. Another event like this comes up I'm skipping it. Not fun.

These events are virtually impossible to complete. The goals are too demanding and the drops are useless. I'm still on goal 12 and the event ends tomorrow.

I lucked out and had a week off of work last week so I was able to really grind out the first half of the event and was set to finish at the end of last week. However, with the Realm Master starting when I started back to work, I decided to hold off so I could have more items that drop points.

Then I reached Jolene and could've finished a few days back but I was halfway to getting the second Trade Wagon craft and decided to go for it. That choice added another five days to my timeline just to gather enough Cold Brews. Finally got the second craft finished this morning and I have to say, I'm WIPED!

If it wasn't for my free time last week I never would've come close to finishing despite having a ton of saved energy and lots of resources. This event was insane with the requirements and I will be happy to never participate in one of these again! The next time this format shows up I don't think I'll even bother starting, to be honest.

This must be one of the hardest quests ever. And also a second timed quest at the same time, which also needs a lot of work. On top of it, you can get an espresso golem or mean bean in the trade wagon, if you manage to collect 500 pieces needed. I dont know if I should laugh or cry, when it says max 4 on each of them! Who on earth would be capable doing that!? We are talking 4000 pieces totally. Thats a looooot of time and energy needed. Time is running out, and I might get one, if Im lucky. I got him on my second try. Every time I collect from him I get a black flag for syrup, and that?s it. And I agree with everyone that this event format is too much. Sometimes You had to log into the game every half an hour to pick up crafts and start new ones, which is insane.

It should start the minute after this event has concluded. WW is permanent and has been for a long time. It wasn't available after a main story release and then it was; sometimes it wasn't after a week monster hunt and now it is. But it has seemed more consistent recently, so buckle up and grow some trees (or whatever tree you might need for the myriad of stories that need them) or aim to chop rock outcroppings (get some freebie golden nuggets) or replenish your blue fish by going on a fishing frenzy and if you have excess wood, throw on one of the 5 day/7 day crafts to use up 99 wood or stone or water. Personally, the rollbacks etc stress me out way too much and I don't ever do these, but others get benefits out of it. I did once have a rollback on energy and got 10 mins for each one but that was a couple of years ago and I ran out of things to collect from! lol

you do the 10 minute adventure when the goal asks for it and he spawns from that, so make sure you don't have any other monsters already on your board.

Never had it happen to me. WW always starts about 1min after event ends. I don't do them anyway, it's my day away from my screen. I find Thursdays relaxing especially after such a stressful event like the current one.

when I feel like we are going to get a leaderboard of any sort, my strategy is to log on the game a few hours later than usual. Events start at 2am on Friday for me (I am in Thailand), therefore I decide to sleep tight and wait until morning to start my leaderboard, this way I figure most of very competitive players have already logged in

I just assumed they used multiple gem boosts. Don't know for sure but I'm not willing to be that competitive with RM/LB.

Other than Faerie Jars all of my other resources are always maxed out. I would have my device next to my keyboard and make the deliveries as they come on through the day. I make sure that all my resource droppers are out for ready replenishing.

This is only possible if your job has you sitting at your desk for most of your day.

I always start a full day late to access the LB and will visit the leaders to get a feel of their strengths, (number of energy and resource droppers). Then, I would overtake them, usually by a thousand, then watch their responses.

I would usually offer to tie at one of the top three spots with anyone interested, but so far, none have taken the offers.

By experience tie only work with those that are here on the board or are close neighbors.

I had one competitor who offered to tie for second . We'd been lap frogging each other the whole event so when she offered a tie I accepted and trusted that she would stop when she equaled my score. She did, which impressed me a lot. It's a pity more players don't do that, cooperation instead of competition. I don't usually do the RM/LB, They usually drain things like fairy jars or fairy murmur, then I don't have enough for other things and I usually don't get to fully restock when the next one starts. At least with MH/LB I get to play for gold troll tokens. Anyway each player will keep playing their way and we'll keep playing ours. (BTW deadpixel if e find each other in the same board I'm happy to accept your tie offer (I'm Purple Passion))
