I just do not understand making a 2 day recipe as the very first thing to accomplish. Soooo, our lace stoves are just sitting there and we can’t do a thing with them to go toward the goal, because we are waiting on stew to cook. Why not put that as the 2nd or 3rd step so we can at least start using the stoves? I mean that is just a slap in the face like “we don’t want you to complete this challenge. We just want you to spend coin on appliances. And if you really want to unlock all of this, you’ll have to spend real money on the challenge.”

I completely agree. This is literally the only thing to conclude. I went from always completing all goals, to only being able to complete the side & mini goals, to now not being able to finish ANYTHING. I don't know why I bother. They don't seem to care about their players at all.

I don't get it either and I'm not prepared to spend real money or hard earned gems just because someone is following a pattern set recently. A better idea would be to build the appliance and include cooking, say 5 x 1 hour new recipe, to complete part 1. That way we can get on with the challenge.....

Unpopular opinion but I like having the 2 day recipe at the start, if I don?t have any of the goal stoves it gives me two days to build them before they are needed, sending requests for obscure items can suck on a weekend as I notice its slower to get requests and gifts back. It also means if I have weekend plans I dont need to think about the game! I prefer it to being on step 3 or 4!

I don’t know how this works but here’s part 4
5 Taro bread on oven
6 stew on stove
25 Turtle soup on stove
15 sourdough Loaves on lace oven

Does part 4 mean we have to do 6 stews which take 2 days so when we get to part 4 there won't be enough time left!

Of course like many others, I absolutely hate having 2 day recipes in the "mini" goals, but I also agree that putting the 2 day recipes in the beginning is better as all players will know that they will need to cook these recipes from the beginning and do not need to check the forum to find out that they need to cook these recipes ahead (or else it is very difficult to finish the goal). Also, as mentioned by previous reply, this can also allow players to build mini goal stove/ finish building main goal stove within the two days.
(Though this time they seemed to have put 2 day recipes in both parts 1 and 4, which is again a ridiculous setup - one will need 4 days to cook these recipes if one does not plan ahead, while the goal only lasts for 5 days. Please stop pushing players again and again!)

After breaking down the times of ONLY those items that need the most amount of time to cook, the 5-day goal is unattainable for most in the amount of time given, especially if one does not look at this chat or does not have access to it.

Items With the Longest Cooking Times
《1》5 Stews | 2 days = 48 hours
《2》5 Eggs in a Basket | 12 hours
《3》3 Corned Beef Hash | 14 hours
《4》6 Stew | 2 days = 48 hours

TOTAL HOURS: 122, which equals 5.08 days.

The amount of time does not add in the other items requested in each part of the total goal, many of which are done in stages due to the amount of stoves or ovens one has.

Also, as stated before, If a person does not have access to this chat room, they cannot find out what the next part of the goal is, and cannot start ahead of time the items that need the longest cooking time.

In Summary: When the longer items are calculated out, plus taking into account the other items needed for each part of the goal, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY a person can complete the 5-day goal without using gems and/or having access to this chat to start making items ahead of time that need longer cooking times.

These 2 day recipes are ridiculous on a 5 day goal regardless of which step they are on I?m still on 1st part I certainly won?t be using hard earned gems at any point to complete it next step is going to take a while as I work and I?m not allowed my phone to be on so 1 hr recipes are just as bad

Having one 2 day recipe is pushing it but two separate times in one goal must be a mistake. I am usually on the extreme side of "we're only playing the game they designed so we get what we get", but literal unattainable goals seems counterintuitive to having long term players.

Believe the stews are 46 hours but that won't change the math much since the goals are shorter than 5 full days technically.

I agree with all of this. The 2 day recipes are getting ridiculous. There's only 3 days left it's showing and most people just started part 2. Without the help of everyone posting ahead here, these goals would be literally impossible to achieve. Stop with the 2 day recipes on 5 day goals!

Absolutely ridiculous to have 2 day recipes twice on a 5 day goal. The creators don?t want anyone to obtain this without spending real money. The only time I use gems is to expand or I will use them once I hit my 18 appliance limit at goal. And even then I?ll wait for a sale.

I'll be forwarding this and all other feedback posts over to the team regarding the selection of recipes for 5-day goals moving forward.

For full transparency/sorting of posts/making it easier for the devs to find this feedback, some posts may be moved from this thread to the 5-Day Goal Improvement thread (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?115485-How-Could-the-5-Day-Goals-Be-Made-Better/) in the Suggestions and Feedback forum, since this is ostensibly feedback that would affect several 5-Day goals moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback thus far. (If you have not voted in the poll in this thread or posted in this thread, but would like to post any additional feedback/comments on 5-Day goals in general, you are encouraged to do so).

A small note, if this does affect change: please note that feedback does take time sometimes for the devs to realize into an in-game change. Optimally and optimistically, any change will be reflected in the immediate next 5-Day goal, but it can take longer for a number of reasons.

And, on a mod note, thank you everyone for being respectful with their feedback thus far :)

I agree, it is crazy to have two 2 day cooks in one goal, and without the forum and other players kindness would be impossible to finish without gems. Also hope that if this is fixed that they completely remove it from part 4 and not just reduce it to 1 stew (as previously done with lemon lime soda) as this literally does nothing time wise to help.

I like it. It gives you time to build 5 ovens so you are ready to crank out what is needed for part 2. Not all challenges should be easy.

Yes, but in this particular goal, part 1 has a 2 day recipe AND part 4, you also need to make 6 2 day recipes..... for anyone who does not know to check here, they will not make the goal in time at all. Especially due to the 12 hour and 16 hour recipes on top of 2 different parts requiring these 2 day recipes. True not all challenges should be easy, but they should be able to be completed. Doing the math on this goal is after the 5 day mark as one poster already calculated.

Thank you for those posting the stages ahead without them I would not have had a chance at all of completing the 5 day goal although I am still on part 3 I was able to get ahead with preparing the stews for part 4 which hopefully will mean I should have enough time to complete

Thank you pixiegamer for sharing this feedback with the developers. While I do like a challenge, I do believe that if the cooking times literally exceed the time to complete the mini goal then it is really unfair to players. And as others have mentioned without the heads up, many of these challenges would be completely impossible to finish.

Really long recipes again, what is going on with the 5 days suddenly? Please reconsider going forwards

Anyone know where the capsule prize is from originally and what the cost was? Hope it wasnt just a market purchase for coins. I have one already so still figuring out if I should try to finish or just unlock recipes

I only try to unlock the recipe myself anymore. Didnt even get that done a week or 2 ago because I accidentally put away 2 ovens with 2 day recipes and there wasnt time to correct. Btw it was the 1st step of that goal and I did not have time. Very upsetting

Ugh. I just finished my stews only to be told the challenge expired!!! I assumed the challenge ended at 7:30pm, the same time it started, and based my cooking on that.
Anyone have info on the end times of these challenges? I just started back playing after a few years absent.

So, we don't actually have 5 days? I don't know about you, but I just started 5 of every 2 day recipe. They should be done a couple of hours after the next 5 day challenge starts. I don't know if I will need them, but it doesn't hurt.
