So I was wondering what made this a "new event type." It turns out we are using the Trade Wagon to summon animals. The Arctic Direfox spawns from both the Rock Outcroppings nd the Glacial Chunk. You need 55 of them to summon one in the Trade wagon.

I am liking that we get to chop rock outcroppings, which gives a chance at a gold nugget. Chopping trees never gives gold items. And I like that instead of buildings we have to put in storage, we get to repurpose a building we already have.

Looked at the math. So total crafting time is 350 hours. That is 27 h a day if we have 13 days to finnish. Can this be? So this event is not finishable without the elven boost and even with it it takes logging in the game all day long and through the night. If the math is correct, this will be the first event that I won't finnish.

For goal 7, I have slightly different requirements than it shows on page 1. I will need-
4 each globes and water, 3 balms, and 2 fireplace things to complete the goal. (Sorry I don’t remember exact names)
Page one currently lists 3, 3, 1, 2 for goal 7.

Each fireplace thing needs 4 globes and 4 water and 3 balms.
The balms also need globes and water.
At the drop rate of 3 snowflakes per 9 snowmen every 2 hours, this is going to take some time.

When possible, this is the strategy I prefer to use. Over the years I've found that making event purchases earlier gives a greater boost at less of a cost and is always a big help since time is typically tight. It's frustrating that despite having built up my energy to insane levels and most resources mostly super-maxed it's always a struggle to finish. And it's always because I can't live on my phone. How naive was I back in the day when I thought things would be easier if I just built up my queendom enough? lol

Paying a small amount at the start to alleviate my aggravation of time shortage is worth it for me. Though I do wish events were more compatible with actual daily life...

I was scratching my head over this one as well. We've seen events use the Trade Wagon before and nothing else is standing out as shocking or abnormal for an event. Maybe this just means we've played too long and participated in too many events? But I will say I was very worried when I saw that note on the preview pop up. Over the last year any changes made to events in other s8 games has just made them even more time intensive so I was prepared to have to bow out of this one. I'm pleasantly surprised on that front!

I got it. It’s an extra craft building. I’m still using the Eleven Boost in the workshops but I wanted an extra option and I like the design. It’s rather expensive for something that will be future deco and I wouldn’t normally, but it’s a really busy time.

Nope, I have both of my Workshop at full power crafting. I did a few time use the Worker boost, but since I am nearly done with my second Sleights, I will continue normally. 1 week to craft the final price + make a collector craft of everything.

Extremely unhappy that instead of spawning an Ice Spider when visiting Old Thomas, I spawned a Dire Boar. It's bad enough with numerous "silent rollbacks" putting one back during events, now this.

Everyone double check everything before leaving their game. I have had a number of instances this event where I collected from the snowmen on the 2 hour timer, started things in the workshop, did some other things around the board, then noticed the snowmen hadn't been collected nor the crafts started. There was no galloping horse to alert me of a rollback, or a pause/hangup in the game that I could tell!

if you choose to summon Frigilda, the event ends right after and you should be aware that collecting from snowmen / moose / hitting on glacial chunks WON'T give any points for the Realm Master leaderboard anymore.

Arctic Direbore still spawn from rocks and chunks and hitting on them still gives points though, but that's the only place left

Therefore if you are competing on the leaderboard, I would advise not to summon Frigilda just yet, and keep collecting from snowmen / moose / glacial chunks

Yeah, there?s absolutely no way I could have finished without value packs. Way too much work and energy, tbh.

On the positive side, I?ve collected from Frigilda 3x, and each time received 6 energy. So she?s been consistent. Should be able to recover all the energy expended to get her in about 10 years, I suspect. 🤣

So probably no one else is seeing things this way, but the Fox in this event always looks to me like it is facing away from me and looking back at me over its shoulder. It wasn't until I looked at the photos here in the forum and could zoom in that I saw it is facing forward. But I can still see it both ways, and it is easier for me to see it facing away from me. I think this was a bad choice of event format for over the holiday period. It's just far too time intensive.

I think I'm going to quit as I've still got 2 bouquets to make and don't have all the frostbite balms for them yet. I don't have enough silver runes to make more elf potions either.

Do the deliveries recycle at the same speed for every player? On every device?

In making the deliveries, have you ever been able to jump 3,000 points in 30 mins? I ask because I've had a player on my board do that against me, not once but thrice over four hours.

So are you all familiar with the type of optical illusion where, depending on how you look at it, an object can appear to be facing one way, but if you look at it another way, it looks like it's facing a different way? So probably no one else is seeing things this way, but the Fox in this event always looks to me like it is facing away from me and looking back at me over its shoulder. I honestly thought I was looking at it from behind for days when I was battling all those foxes. It wasn't until I looked at the photos here in the forum and could zoom in that I saw it is facing forward. But I can still see it both ways, and it is easier for me to see it facing away from me. Can anyone else see this?

No way I can finish. I have tons of energy banked but it's just too much production involved. Throw in a holiday and a few days that I have to work at my job and it's impossible.
4 bouquets is like asking for the moon. 2 is more of a fair challenge.

I have one of the bouquets made so the only way would be to buy the value pack and somehow get two more bouquets made after that. I'm working today so I can't stay glued to my phone. I bought the original value pack for this event but as it turns out it didn't really matter. Just not enough time to make all the globes and balms. Too much during the holidays especially. It should have been 2 bouquets. I really don't like spending money and all this time to then fall short at the end.

I just levelled up to 46 and my boreal bouquets changed from 3 to 4 I?m so mad that I worked so hard and now I have extras to do and only a few hours left

I totally agree. There was not enough time for this kind of event where there are so many components & they require various times, some lengthy. This is Christmas, a busy time where we have family visiting etc.

It does not seem like this should be possible, no. I usually get delivery requests close together when I first log in, and then I think they said it is a 4 hour wait. I have no way of answering if it is the same for everyone on every device. it should be. S8 needs to be made aware of this issue, I think.

I used an active boost to speed up the workshop & it didn?t work. It required the full time to make the water, balms etc.

I don’t make many deliveries as I like to keep my inventory of materials fully stocked. But I score points by chopping glacial chunks to spawn and defeat the arctic direfox. Could score 1000 points in 45 mins at a leisurely pace, and I don’t use boosts but if a player uses the 25 gem 2h boost to triple their points, making deliveries plus defeating arctic direfox spawns, 3000 is not impossible in 30 mins. Deliveries, in my game, are a little slow to refresh after making them and it is 4h to change to a different item if you don’t make them.


As a high level player with a huge energy stash, I was only able to finish this event on Saturday with the help of the frigidome as an extra crafting workshop. It was rather laborious checking in constantly to craft those bouquets.

Yeh I agree with everyone else - this is a terrible event format!
Waaaay too much crafting required. :rolleyes:
Crafting a lot of useless deco.

Feels like a format created with the sole purpose of getting us to spend.

Storm8, If you need to reuse this format you need to half the amount of crafting required - the way it currently is it is just tedious.
Also the gem cost for the Frigidome and Artic Nomad items needs to be much much lower.

Literally just finished this event and wanted to add my voice to the many others saying it was too much.

Even with the extra (very costly) building and buying the early package I barely squeaked by. I don't think I'll be remembering this one fondly...

I'm sad because the model is SO pretty and I love the color palette, I love foxes, especially arctic foxes, etc. But I could not finish. Especially during the holiday season. I kind of accepted it. 3 was doable but still hard, but dang this wasn't really a fun event.

I have to agree. I had to buy the last value pack.
When I saw on Sunday, that we had to do 4 bouquets I was shocked. I think only 1, max 2 would have been possible. With any other price I would have stopped, but really wanted the crystal drops.

I’m a high level player too with a huge energy reserve. I was on vacation the whole of last week and was able to finish the event last Friday; had my workshops and the Frigidome working non stop cause I did not want to boost my workshops. Boosting them would only make me run out of Snowflakes and then I’d end up waiting anyway.

Well, it is possible to achieve 3,000+ points in an hour if you use the 3x boost (I did 8,000+ in the last two hours of the event), but it is IMPOSSIBLE to score 10,000+ points in under 30 mins.

Not only was it possible, but in the last 30 mins of the LB, this player’s points jumped by more than 10,000; I have screenshots and a screen recording to show the miraculous jump.

I agree with SummerSwan that S8 should be made aware of this “hidden feature.l They should explain the feature in a “How to score big points” section in the Realm Master event :D

Oh! Please don’t speculate or discuss the methods used as it isn’t fair to players and they mustn’t be discussed here.

DP I would think it's better to either log a forum dispute to share the info with the team or send everything to support which will be passed on. I wouldn't put it on the forum as it might not be appropriate to call out another player when they might have bought their way through (albeit with a lot of $).

Thanks for the advise SW. I believe I’ll raise a forum dispute and let the team decide if they wish to pursue the matter.

If this had been a Monster Hunt LB, I’d have put it down to the player purchasing a whole load of Deus Ex Machina packages; at 700 points a pop, they’d boost the player”s points quickly enough. In the Realm Master LB, however, there isn’t such a package, or at least there wasn’t one offered in my queendom, hence my suspicion that something was off :blue:

Edit: Come to think of it, I believe that something similar happened about two years ago in an MHLB. Another player and I were working at tying for first place in the last hour of the event. We each had around 20,000 points, and the closest to us in third place only had 9,000 points. Then, just like in the last 30 minutes of this RMLB, a player with less than 5,000 points shot past us and took first place, ending with 25,000 points. And to add insult to injury, he actually posted on our walls gloating about it. I'd completely forgotten about that incident until now :mad:

Personally, I would not have finished the event without the frigidome and I could not justify buying the arctic nomad for the exorbitant gem price even though I love foxes, especially since it is very similar to the Madam Makeda foxes and does not have valuable drops post event nor during the event. The event took way too long to finish during a busy holiday season in RL plus with Makeda weekends, Realm master LB and the Thurbina goal, felt rather exhausting, not enjoyable at all. Would have skipped the Realm master LB and took longer with Thurbina if not for the Permafrost event (I normally finish events early and take a break between events), but for my affinity for foxes, I persisted.

I'm in the minority. I started the event late thinking I'd just get the moose. Ended up with Frigelda, Arctic Direfox, and 5 seekers coins. I basically just hopped in and out of the game to collect from snowmen, start glacier waters or snow globes and clear rock piles or ice chunks. Actually didn't think it was that bad. Didn't stress about it because it was a busy time for me as well and I normally don't do the RMLB anyway. Like I said, I'm definitely in the minority with my experience with this event.
Cutting back on my holiday list of things to do helped also.

I unfortunately didn't get to finish and drained a bunch of gems and silver runes to speed up the workshop in the process. I really liked the main prize so very disappointing to not finish even after purchasing the first value pack and the extra work. Congrats though to players that were able to succeed!

Yep, very time consuming and expensive. I purchased multiple of the $5 value pack as I wanted the energy not just for chopping but also to battle Goblins since the value packs were available over a weekend. This greatly reduced the amount of chopping I had to do because so many materials were included in the packs, but cost real life $$ and still took a lot of time and planning. I had the holiday week off, but felt like I spent most of my time just playing s8 games (Fantasy Forest had a leaderboard event, and I play Dragon Story, too). I know that?s my choice how to spend my time and $, but I don?t like feeling like I can only get the items I really like and want in my kingdom by being a s l a v e (don?t know if that word is ok or not) to my game. I took a road trip today, and it felt good to put the phone down for a while. 😀

Also agree that the Arctic Nomad was very desirable but way too expensive.

Depends what you flagged as the type of issue you're having. Some seem to be lower priority than others. But that's all I'll say as we're not allowed to disclose individual contact with support and their responses.

Make sure you received an email from Support logging the issue. I once reported an issue through the game, and noticed I did not get an acknowledgement email. I had to report it again, and finally got my email, and Support dealt with the problem.

If you don't receive an email within a few minutes of reporting the issue, some internet glitch probably occurred, they never got it. Many Support systems software send an automatic email when an issue is received, and it seems S8 is one of them, from how quickly I get the acknowledgment.
