My friend bought for 15 gems. Mine shows 25 gems. Why different amounts? And why after paying gems do you need that many parts. With the main goal, side goal, and two mini goals where is time and space to complete this. I am requesting parts every day of the main goal so how would I get these? Just not making sense.

It appears the oven opens to purchase at level 12 and costs 15 gems to purchase I do not know at what level it changes to 25 gems to purchase but looks like the higher level players are paying 35 ems for the oven which seems a little unfair

Sadly, it seems more random than that. I'm a long time level 99 and the appliance is listed at 25 gems for me.

I can confirm this, I'm a long time level 99 too and the oven is 25 gems for me as well. I have two other accounts at level 93 and 95, and they have the Sapphire Oven at 15 and 35 gems, respectively... So I don't think the price is linked to levels in any way.

When I first saw the price (25, in my main bakery) I thought that maybe they had taken my idea into consideration and decided to "give us" 5 ovens for 25 gems, LOL. Thank God I didn't buy it, I would've been extremely disappointed not only to realize I used 25 gems to get just one oven, I also would have had to build it with a ridiculous amount of parts...

It's funny you brought that up though because when they released the Ruby goals, I was genuinely thinking they might use the Citrine/Peridot items if they decided to give us another Baker's Set permanent goal. Silly me! Of course they'd just give us the Amethyst items recolored... again!

Now I can serve the same exact recipe in two colors ad nauseam while trying to unlock the same decos in two colors simultaneously - it's like they've made all my baking dreams come true! (￣へ￣)

As of right now I could easily fill pages with nothing but my irritation over this goal but I'm going to be an adult and stop myself here. Maybe after a few weeks I'll be able to approach this rationally instead of just ranting in despair. ?\_(ツ)_/?

Honestly, s8, I love this game to bits but this is beyond disappointing and I really hope this is the last time we see these items recolored. I have no qualms with the idea of recolors in general but surely you can see the issue we're having with this (other than the random pricing) ... I beg of you, please will the team at least try to put forth the TINIEST bit of effort before releasing the next permanent goal?

The Citrine items popped into my head right after posting my comment 🙈 but for some reason I forgot about the Peridot release (maybe 'cause I don't like those items very much 👀 ) and the Emerald Crate, so thank you for bringing them up :)

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they still gave us Amethyst items recolorings in orange, yellow and green despite the already existing stuff you just mentioned 😅 (and the fact that it seems no one is happy about this "double recycling"). I hope they won't do it of course, but anything is possible at this point 😂 I guess we'll just have to wait and see 🙃

Two questions:

1)Why charge 15, 25, and 35 gems for different people? We still never got an answer.

2)Why is the sapphire color so close to the amethyst color? I think the sapphire should look way more blue than it does in many of the items. Example: the walls and counters are so close in color. I would love if the color was made to look more sapphire in all items which is a darker blue.

I'm asking 'cause I didn't buy the Ruby Oven in any of my bakeries, but I can still see it in the market in all 3 of my accounts 😅 It's between the Rainbow Oven and the Marzipan Oven for me.

I think it would actually be a great idea to NOT remove permanent goal ovens from the market, because that would make them permanent in every way. Not only the goal set would be permanent and could be worked on at our leisure, we could also buy it whenever we want.

Maybe the 30+ days timer could be set to offer them on sale? Something like "purchase the *permanent goal oven* in the next 30+ days at half the price"? And after the sale is over we could still buy it, but at full price.

Of the 5 accounts I have, it shows 35 gems (level 99,67,58) and 15 gems (level 99,29) are needed. Last time Ruby Oven was released I got the finished product with 42 gems, so I assumed the same would be true this time and bought it with 35 gems. I regret it. (Looking at it again carefully, I just noticed that it has a tool mark that requires assembly.)

But 144 parts is not realistic by any stretch of the imagination!

Moreover, I just checked and an account I bought with 35 gems has been discounted to 15 gems! What is going on?

I bought the ruby oven for top price and now the sapphire oven was 35 gems...
I have one other account that is showing it costing 15 gems!! I don't spend anything on this account and there is little activity! Not good!!

My theory is that, if you regularly bug gems (spend hard earned cash) they charge a larger amount than if you don't buy gems. So the more you spend, the more they charge!!!!

I've learned a valuable lesson here... I won't be spending on this game again or for a very long time!
I'm still building the oven - if the goals don't stay permanently once it's built, I won't be able to finish it and there is no way I am spending any more gems on it!

Players who have never purchased gems were charged the highest price just as often as players who nut gems weekly.

My best guess is that the timer was for purchasing the appliance to start the goal like it was with the Ruby Oven.

Here's a heads up for anyone thinking of buying any of the decorations before the steps ask you to buy it: I bought 4 of the wall deco Sapphire Hearts. Then when I got to Step 7 of the goal, it asked for 2 Sapphire Hearts wall deco! The in-game spot listing buy 2 was still blank!! I wrote to customer support and I got my answer today! They said since I bought the Sapphire Heart wall deco before it asked for it in the goal, its too bad!! ??? I assumed it would be OK because you can do that in a regular goal!! Learned a lesson I guess! I'm really disappointed in Storm8 now :(

Even in the 14 day goals there's only certain items you can buy beforehand and others you have to wait for the goal to have them count. The way to know for certain if you can purchase the item before the actual goal opens or not is all in the wording. When a goal says "HAVE" item then you can purchase it whenever but when the goal says "BUY" item then you have to actually purchase it when that specific goal is open. Hope this helps your future goaling :D

Then when I got to Step 7 of the goal, it asked for 2 Sapphire Hearts wall deco! The in-game spot listing buy 2 was still blank!! I wrote to customer support and I got my answer today! They said since I bought the Sapphire Heart wall deco before it asked for it in the goal, its too bad!! ??? I assumed it would be OK because you can do that in a regular goal!! Learned a lesson I guess! I'm really disappointed in Storm8 now :(

I never buy anything ahead of time. In the beginning, it was always suggested to wait as most of the goals for deco, tables, chairs etc. said "BUY" , not "HAVE". It was very rare to be able to have items count if purchased ahead or time. I don't recall that happening until recently.

I don't think anyone is happy with the random pricing of the Sapphire Oven but sadly, as far as we can tell it was totally random.

Players who have never purchased gems were charged the highest price just as often as players who nut gems weekly.

It should just be the purchase that's affected by the timer but even that's up for debate at this point since there's been reports that the Ruby Oven remained...

Thank you. I have not purchased it even though I had a sale price for 15 gems pop up after originally having a higher price.

I had accepted parts in case I changed my mind but decided it is not worthwhile.

You should post in the bugs forum (https://forums.storm8.com/forumdisplay.php?23-Bakery-Story-Bugs-amp-Issues) - that way, other players can add their voice to the issue and the team is more likely to see this quicker and give a response.

Same happened to me. I never would have bought the oven if it had said BUILD to unlock instead of BUY to unlock. I added a comment in the bugs and issues thread.

Same here. The random price for this oven at first and now this!? Totally unfair to those who spent 35 gems to purchase the 144 parts oven and get nothing back. It was said BUY, not BUILD anyway. I posted a new thread in the bug forum too. Let?s see what?s happen next.

Just wanted to share that I still have both Ruby Oven and Sapphire Oven in my bakery's market. I also checked my other two accounts and I can still see both ovens in there too, same prices also.

Edit: In my main bakery the Sapphire Oven price was 25 gems, in my other two accounts it was 15 and 35. So apparently after the timer is over the oven goes back to the highest price, which is exactly what I thought would happen to be honest 😅

The goal is back in my bakery with "31 days" as a time limit. Plus they changed the wording in the first part of the goal from "Buy" to "Build".

Guess I better use these 31 days to finish building my Sapphire Oven so I can keep this goal permanently.

Even in the 14 day goals there's only certain items you can buy beforehand and others you have to wait for the goal to have them count. The way to know for certain if you can purchase the item before the actual goal opens or not is all in the wording. When a goal says "HAVE" item then you can purchase it whenever but when the goal says "BUY" item then you have to actually purchase it when that specific goal is open. Hope this helps your future goaling :D

Today is Jan 19th, I haven?t done building my Sapphire oven yet, but the Sapphire goal didn?t show up at my mission list.
Despite of that, all of the Sapphire items are available and I can purchase them.
Kinda weird, isn?t it?
Maybe because I can buy those stuffs so the goal won?t show up again.

You should check your own game to know for sure if you can access them without the goal. This may have been a glitch that only one person (or a few) have the all Sapphire items unlocked.

In the games I can access (one purchased the item and one didn't) the items are still locked.

Yeah, I have checked it once a day from Jan 17th, all the Sapphire items are unlocked.
I did purchased some of them and it still be there in my inventory.
So luckily I wont have to do the goal to unlock it step by step.
