Original Burger recipe was moved over from Burger Grill to Basic Grill for this side goal but Blue Ribbon recipe was not it's still in Burger Grill appliance.

Hopefully a moderator sees this and flag over to S8 for quick fix

I spent far too much of my childhood sitting on my bed tangled in a stretch chord while talking to friends. This speaks to me. Well done I was about to suggest a 80's to 90's technology goal today and then this surprise landed in my lap. So ecstatic

I just served Blue Ribbon Burgers, that I had started on Burger Grill before change to Basic Grill, they counted toward goal 🙂

How fun! Given my druthers, I like to redecorate once a month to match the current season/holiday but it's so time consuming that I often start a new layout but never manage to finish in time, lol.

For the 80's I'd also say neon colors, kids/teens were all about the mall and music, plus what we consider pop culture really took off during this time. Most people associate the movies/tv/bands of that era with the overall culture of the time.

With that in mind, you could do like a fusion of 80s and futuristic diner reminiscent of Cafe 80s from Back to the Future or you could do an 80s mall food court type situation?

Yes once you've completed goal, recipes should return to their original appliance. In this case both Original Burger and Bleu Ribbon Burger return to Burger Grill. Same as Bakery Story side goals.

Hopefully we get previous goal appliance recipes in future side goals. Nice way to master new recipes.

The moved dishes will return to their original appliance (A) when you finish the side goal, or (B) when the goal period ends (whichever comes first).

So, for example, if you don't buy any wallpaper/flooring and the side goal never unlocks, the moved dishes will be on the basic appliance for the whole 14 days.

As pcabral03 mentioned, some people take the opportunity to master these borrowed recipes while they're on basic appliances. It takes 83 cooks to master a recipe. If you're doing the side goal but still want to achieve mastery, you can strategize and 'overcook' those recipes before you complete the side goal.

Note that progress will transfer both ways too - if you've cooked the recipe before on its 'home' appliance, any mastery progress you already made before will transfer when it's moved to the basic appliance (unless the team decides to reset the progress bar). Likewise, any mastery you achieve by cooking on the basic appliance will be reflected when the recipe is moved back (again, unless the team decides to reset the progress bar).

If you don't mind the departure from the 'phone museum' theme that the floor decor prizes and appliances seem to suggest, the new items inspired ideas for me for a 'music video filming set' design. There are a surprising number of songs about phones that were released in the past few decades! :p

I'm personally skipping this one (still recovering a bit financially after the End of Summer Sale; the prizes aren't appealing enough for me to want to attempt it; and I'm quite satisfied already by the quality of the items made freely available :) ), but this is a really unique theme and I kind of love how the recipes show up as computers on the appliances while they're cooking. It seems like it would complement the Futuristic items in the market rather well :)

I also really appreciate the designs on the freely-available market items, particularly the counters. The 'stack of books' design on the counters and tables would look really nice in a library or bookstore kind of design :) Also really happy we didn't get a neon sign for the wall decoration this time (though I'm still confused by why they're so high up on the wall - I don't think any customer-sized visitor could reach that Old Phone! :p )

That's a good idea too! I've needed to do "liberal interpretations" of the goals before based on what I have in my inventory. My requirement is I have ro use the new goal decor and hopefully the side abd 5 day goal prizes if I can work them in.

Now I don't pretend that this was made for this goal, this has been my design for nearly a decade running now, maybe longer. With a few updates or facelifts here and there to keep it fresh but it's been the same "arcade chuck e' cheeses" style restraunt since like 2013-14? Sometime before the carnival goals came out way back when. The reason i'm sharing is, maybe it'll inspire some 80's nostalgia

Both of the goal appliances are stoves this time, do you mean your second goal appliance (Cordless Telephone Stove) ?

I'm sorry this happened. You may try to clear out cache from game app settings and restart game. If does not help, you can open S8 support ticket to help.

So far no one has posted issues building the goal appliances, cross my fingers though.

I'm still so impressed that you can manage a full remodel every two weeks when it literally takes me WEEKS just to finish one, lol. Truly a great job, you should be very proud!
