I've passed this along to the devs; we'll try to incorporate this into a future update (might not be the next one, but we'll work on it).

A 12 hour item would be nice, but an 8 hr item accomplishes the same thing because if i am not mistaken you have 8 hours to display it, so roughly 16 hours total time. I would actually prefer a few shorter 1, 2 and 3 hour items for when I am home and have time to keep checking in.
