My friend gemmed out of recipes to get to 2nd oven. We didn't want the 1st oven recipes, the goal prizes, or the Loretta recipe - so it comes down to what's in the 2nd oven for recipes. Here are photos for 1st oven so it may help you decide whether to do or not.

Sadly, I don't expect anything is going to be changed with the recipe. While it's not pretty in the slightest, the team doesn't seem to view it as an error or bug for some reason.

If you look back at when it was first released in 2019 (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?108985), lots of players complained but nothing was done. When the appliances were relisted as Echos earlier this year (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?115033), once more complaints were made but nothing was altered.

For future reference, I always include the counter images for SG recipes in the first post in the hopes of avoiding any disappointments.

I can flag this over, but not sure it'll be issued a fix for the reasons Anniras mentioned above.

Sidenote: a lot of the recipes from that time seem to have had some 'mixed up' artwork in terms of counter presentations/cooking-in-progress not quite looking their best. I remember a lot of counter presentations at the time looked like they were still cooking (as in this case), and the cooking-in-progress art was duplicated from other prior recipes.

Pure, unverified, take-with-a-grain-of-salt speculation: for a lot of the affected dishes at the time, it appeared one phase of the artwork wasn't delivered and the team had to distribute the pieces they did get across the different recipe stages to at least make it seem like we were getting fully-finished recipes with proper artwork.

I'd love to see the team revisit these (and other recipes) and give them a bit of a 'recipe revamp' to make them pretty again - refresh the artwork and then feature the recipes in side goal challenges and Echo appliances to show off the changes. If there's enough support for the idea I could float this over as something people would like to see.

But baby steps first; I'll flag this over and see if anything can be done for this recipe :)

i agree! part of the incentive to finish the main goal is to be able to unlock the new cake from Lorettas oven. after all that effort it would be nice to at least get a nice display cake for the counter. this is definitely a miss for me if the counter display looks like an undone in progress recipe 😖

I was on a break when oven originally released. I didn't buy for gems when sold recently because only liked the flower tower cake. Now knowing what I know glad i didn't waste the gems. I started to bake in ovens when a friend had sent me the photos so i saved myself a ton of coins by not baking. So skipping the main goal, side goal (have the prize), Loretta recipe, and LTO. Saved myself lots of time and coins. Have skipped most goals past few months and i don't see it getting any better.

Not popular opinion but I like the tables/chairs, appliances, recipes, and final goal prize. I'll probably do side goal too for the prize and gems. Once I'm done probably stop baking till next round of goals, so inventory sells and no loss of coins afterwards 🙂

i really like this goal! the Plant Filled Cafe is so wonderful! im happy with the final goal prize this time :love_heart: i especially like how it can be used in both an indoor and outdoor decorated bakery, it will fit in perfectly with my outdoor bakery 😊 the Berry Garden, Hanging Plants, and Plant Based Counter are really nice too. tho i dont typically use the appliances after the goal ends, i enjoy the designs for both the oven and stove. of all the photos I've seen of the recipes in this thread, i do enjoy most of the recipes and their counter displays, especially the Butterfly Pea Cheesecake. they're simple but elegant imo. Monstera table i'm interested in using as a decorative feature for greener areas around the bakery 🤔 i would have preferred the Sustainability Station was different, something more than again just a table, tho everything else i like in the goal does make up for it.

i will be doing the Magnolia Market side goal even tho i did buy the U version in a sale not too long ago. had i known itd only release a few months later for free in a goal i mightve saved those gems ☠️ but at least now I'll have two. since the recipes disappear after the side goal is complete its not as huge of an issue for me, but the counter display for the Flower Tower really looks like its cooking in progress, its just a bit odd when compared with the dish display.

Your data on Bakery Story is saved in the cloud and attached to your S8 ID. When you reinstall, you won?t lose any progress, it just redownloads all of the graphics.

Did reinstall on my android phone and recipe graphics update showed, but on my tablet just went to Bakery Story app settings, forced stopped game, cleared cache from memory and storage. Started game again and showed updated graphics too.

So looks like both ways will work 🙂

just wanna confirm that this is gonna be the same/stay fixed when it's back to its original oven too?

I'm not doing the side goal but the flower tower in my easy oven progress seemed to be starting from 0 again (I have the og oven and did the goal back then so I know that I've made the recipe before) so I wondered if it's counted as new recipe and that the team only fixed counter presentation for this one showed up in normal/easy oven/ for this goal but not in the flower tower's original oven, thank you :)


(also I've been wondering if the team could do something with the Sloissant too)

I agree with this. 22,000 for 3 ugly looking wall decor? So you want me to pay 66,000 for 3 wall decorations. No. They need to make that part of the goal cheaper it's ridiculous. Especially for newer players.

i'm sorry Annira but the display counter pic for the bonus goal in the goal info (1st post) is actually the butterfly pea cheesecake thing in 2nd oven, isnt it? it looks a lot like the butterfly cheesecakes in the recipe card.

i'm sorry Annira but the display counter pic for the bonus goal in the goal info (1st post) is actually the butterfly pea cheesecake thing in 2nd oven, isnt it? it looks a lot like the butterfly cheesecakes in the recipe card.

Thanks for pointing that out, I must've misunderstood the post where the image was shared. I just started the second appliance yesterday but still didn't notice the image issue, lol.

I feel like the blank area on the top tier lining up with the blank area on the bottom, it really makes it look unfinished and empty. Almost looks like this part was the side supposed to be hidden against a wall but was mistakenly put facing outward.

For the side goal, is the Magnolia Market supposed to be a U item? In my inventory it is displayed as such.

New to the game and forum, so sorry if this is a dumb question, but will the table/chair associated with this goal be no longer available for purchase when the goal is over? For example, if I only buy the 6 bamboo chairs that are required to meet the goal, will I not be able to buy more bamboo chairs when the main goal expires? And, on top of that, are tables/chairs from other goals permanently unavailable? I've seen a "Tropical Table" in another bakery that I'm pretty sure was from a previous goal but I'd do anything to have access to it... Thanks in advance!

The tables and chairs will remain available to purchase more after the goal ends along with any of the decorations you've unlocked throughout the goal. Some items have been removed from previous goals but I believe were done at a later time versus right when the goal finished. There is a "wishlist" thread if you would like to request for it, or any item, to make an appearance for purchase. If it is specifically a previous goal item, it would show up as a "U" item if brought back for limited time to purchase. For example if the item is called "Table" it would return as "U-Table".

just wanna confirm that this is gonna be the same/stay fixed when it's back to its original oven too?

I'm not doing the side goal but the flower tower in my easy oven progress seemed to be starting from 0 again (I have the og oven and did the goal back then so I know that I've made the recipe before) so I wondered if it's counted as new recipe and that the team only fixed counter presentation for this one showed up in normal/easy oven/ for this goal but not in the flower tower's original oven, thank you :)


(also I've been wondering if the team could do something with the Sloissant too)


Thank you SOOOOO much! I feel like today should be memorialized as a holiday in BS :) This may go down in history as one of the best goals ever. It was already great with the theme and decos but now this? Way to go team s8

EDIT: Could the team maybe put an in-game message for non-forum players? I posted on my wall about the changes to Flower Tower and the items from the last goal but there are a LOT of players who don't use the forum who will have no idea about these amazing changes.

Update on these:

1) The Flower Tower's revamped appearance will carry over to its original appliance after this goal ends.

2) There won't be an in-game announcement for either of these instances, but the team may put one out in future instances if multiple items are changed.

Alsoooooo.... there exists the possibility that similar fixes could be applied for other 'affected' recipes. Standard disclaimer: there's no guarantee how many will be reviewed/revamped (depending on available artwork, time-to-fix, and other constraints), but please do make a list (in a separate thread - no derailing this thread folks!) of recipes you would like to see revisited like this Flower Tower :D

Just FYI

Did reinstall on my android phone and recipe graphics update showed, but on my tablet just went to Bakery Story app settings, forced stopped game, cleared cache from memory and storage. Started game again and showed updated graphics too.

So looks like both ways will work 🙂

I found this for iPhones (worked for the Flower Tower, not for Gold Elegance Wall):

Step 1: Go to Settings > General
Step 2: Select iPhone Storage
Step 3: Scroll to the app you want
Step 4: Press Offload App then confirm
Step 5: Reinstall from that same spot
Step 6: Tap Reinstall
