Thanks for the pic. Once again the detail of the recipe is lost with the bad tray presentation. I had to zoom in to see what the cookies were supposed to be. I hope recipe displays get better as we go. I’m excited about the the side goal prize though!

Wow 50 and 60. I hope you’re not copying RS unreasonable amount of food to cook. I’m only doing the side goal because I like the prize. I just wish you’d lessen the amount to cook.

I know the actual amount of recipes may be higher than normal for the Side Goal this time (I did a double take when I saw 76!!) but it's not an actual increase of cooking time when compared to the other SGs we've had in the past year or so.

The average amount of cook time required to complete a SG is anywhere between 550 and 600 hours. So in this case, isn't an actual increase but it appears that way because the recipe timers are so short.

The tables and chairs should be more patriotic and colorful for 4th of July. I would never use them. You could do tables and chairs shaped like fireworks, bbq grill, burgers, hot dogs, or something more themed. Please use your creativity when designing. Especially if we are forced to buy the tables and chairs. I will buy and sell back after goal because would never use. Again stop with brown - it's ugly. Give us ability to buy other tables and chairs like you do with wallpaper and tiles.
The wall decor is not appealing. Another item i will sell back.
The wallpaper and floors are nasty and i bought others. Why are you all so obsessed with brown. So many cute themes could be done.
The counter is boring and will be sold back - so many missed opportunities.
The recipes are decent but counter presentation lacks so far on first recipe. The second oven recipes dont sound good other than the final recipe.
The prizes arent exciting either other than Setting off Sparklers one which is why I will continue this goal for that. Stop with the prizes you have been designing. They all look the same. Go back and look at prizes from start of game. Things like Cupids Corner shape and design. The people that designed prizes in the beginning had the right idea. Please go get some inspiration from them. The stuff you put in crates is more exciting that goal prizes.
The Loretta oven recipe is so bland. Its July 4th red white blue and bright sparkly colors.
The quantities of recipes and parts is ridiculous. You can't finish the 1st recipe without using gems before going to sleep. Most people can't cook a 2 hour recipe while sleeping or it will die. Please lower the quantities of recipes and parts to make this game more fun. So many are leaving and not doing goals. This game is a full time job and it is meant to be fun. Well let me say you take all of the fun away from it. How long can you keep adding 8 parts per month to the parts catalogue. How about using older parts so we can utilize them. It was more fun with oven elements and basics being used.
And lastly you start a July 4 goal on June 27 which gives 8 days to complete to even use items for the July 4 day. Why can't you do holiday goals so they are completed weeks before the holiday? The last goal should have been July 4 or even sooner. We can't use these items then until next year which seems so silly.
I know I speak for many and i truly hope Storm developers see these posts and wake up.

I don't understand, are these goals not meant to be finished? 40 American Themed Cakes at 10 hours a piece? That would take much longer than the event itself.

I won't lie, if you're a newer player and are still building coins and your bakery in general, then these goals can be very difficult if not nearly impossible. The goals have a very high coin cost and not a lot of coins are rewarded in turn. Pixie made a thread that breaks down the cost of doing the 14 day goals, I'll leave a link to it here (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?114795) if you're interested.

That said, it can be done, it just requires planning and of course, the coins to spare. The goals require us to build three of each appliance but it's not advisable if you want to finish the goal without the stress of setting timers or spending gems so it's best to make more.

Each player has their own preference for how many they make depending on how often they can log in, how many appliance slots they have open, etc. Personally, I've found that in order to finish the goals in time, I need to make at least 4 of the first appliance and 5 of the second and by doing that I always finish within the time frame.

I used to play this game years ago but in January I made a new account as I couldn't access my old one. I am currently a level 65 and I gave up on goals for a couple of months thinking it was just my lack of coins. So I stacked up and I currently have 7mil. I tried to complete the last goal but once I got to the end after taking days to build the ovens, I only had a day left, making the 10hr recipes impossible with only 2 to 3 ovens/stoves.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Maybe I don't have enough neighbors (i have about 30)? Because collecting the parts seem to be the hardest/longest and most excruciating part. I am a SAHM and I get on several times a day while I nurse. Do I just need to find more neighbors so I can build faster?

When they introduced this new format of goals, they added the collectibles that we can trade for parts and I think that's the real key to finishing these goals in time and it's also why I mentioned needing lots of coins. What most players do to build up more goal appliances faster is something we've started calling the "Dump Method" - don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds, lol.

Basically you just keep starting and cancelling goal recipes to get the collectibles to drop as much as possible. It's a huge waste of coins since the newer recipes are more expensive but it will get you all the parts you need to build as many appliances as you want in a matter of hours so, it has it's advantages as well.

If you're interested in further details on the Dump Method, I've explained it in detail here (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?81905-How-many-Gifts-amp-Request-per-day&p=1648752&viewfull=1#post1648752) but please, let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know :)

Is anyone else noticing when you cook and finish goal oven items that collectibles are not given at all?? We need 72 items for the last 2 goal appliances and count on getting collectibles. Now S8 is limiting that as well!! Really S8?? You're being way too stingy with goals

Yes, I've had that happen to me over the last few goals. I'd serve and start another round and not even 1 collectible would drop.☹️

ETA: I'm sure it's happened to me before but I've just specifically noticed it over the last few goals.

Wow, I think this is one time where the bonus goal recipe is only okay for me! Of course that might be due to how loud and colorful the America Themed Cake is, anything right after that is bound to look a bit boring, lol.

Also, a part of me feels like this cake wasn't designed specifically for this goal set, you know? Confetti is usually linked to a celebration, sure, but the confetti looks mostly pastel and looking at it, I'd never peg the cake as linked to the rest of this goal. Don't get me wrong, it's still a lovely cake to look at and I'll be unlocking it in time, I just feel perhaps it's not the best cake for this particular goal.

I hope the team tries a bit harder going forward to make sure the bonus recipes (that require so much work to obtain) fit in with the goal theme.

the confetti cake is less confetti-y than I thought it would be. fall in the mediocre for me. it was okay but yeah, that's it.

kudos to the design team for the america themed cake tho, my fav display in this goal.

hoping for more layered and festive cakes for the next 5days goal!
not necessarily july 4th themed, just ya know more cakes with pretty and detailed design lol

Hi, I had over 100 red and blue fireworks and counting and have been doing the dump method but both red and blue fireworks have gone down to 10 each. So I tried to get more but as they were dropping it didn't count towards the collectable it stayed at 10, same thing with the red sparkler on the blue stick its staying at 10 as well but I had like 80 of those

as for the cake in Lorettas oven, i like the design of the whole cake, but i agree with most that it's not very razzle dazzle for me. they could have made the cake white instead of brown (again why all the brown recipes lol) and then added way more confetti colors and really made it sparkle and colorful, even have little sparklers sticking out the top or something, but it does look ok all in all

For the Loretta Confetti Cake recipe, I would have liked to see something like below…something celebratory and less plain. We work so hard and spend so many coins on a goal, may as well make it worthwhile like all the other Loretta recipes. Missed opportunity.

69950

Yes, something like that would've worked well.

And to make it different from the other sparkler cakes in the game, I think this cake should've had the inside designed with the flag layers since it's more unassuming on the outside, it would give it a wow factor. Especially if they displayed it on the counters with a slice cut out so we could see the layers showing through. I know the America Theme Cake has designed layers, but not on the counter and let's be honest, it's so prettily decorated on the outside it stands just fine without showing them. Let's hope the next goal goes back to the bonus recipes being a bit more special.

But if you're re looking for similar recipes to display for the holiday: the Firework Oven (Echo version on sale now), Nuptial Oven and Starship Stove all have sparkler themed recipes.

Why can we not rotate the new chair? It looks awkward when on the side of the table.

I came to ask this. It doesn't work no matter how you rotate the table!
Horrible design.

Edit: I did manage to rotate the table but that means it has to be set up a certain way. I thought I had tried everything.

I am Level 99 and have been playing since at least 2012, I think. Possibly prior to that. I have used the Dump method but it is too time intensive and I don't sit with my device all day.

I definitely started the mail goal and gave up, also began the 5 day side goal. I got to the third & final part of the 5 day side goal, and gave up again because why am I having to bake and serve ANOTHER ROUND of 60 rwb macaroons and 76, yes, SEVENTY SIX firecracker cookies. I know all of this is listed above. But I couldn?t believe it. Absolutely not worth my time anymore!

Before this goal is over, I just wanted to say I think the American flag being detailed in the plate presentation of the America Themed Cake is really nice. Seeing it on the plate, I have no doubt in my mind which food item it is. Kudos to the team for this as I feel it really gave the plate presentation a wow factor. We're very quick to mention what we don't like but I think the appreciated details, even though small, is worth the mention as well:)

The America Themed Cake is a HUGE win for me. I bought more ovens and cooked more than necessary just to always see them on my counter. THIS is how you make people invest more in the game!

probably just me but I always think that the pics in recipe books/the plate presentation are ALWAYS amazing compared to the counter display. They always have small details that are pretty and cute and looks like what we expected from the recipe name. (Flowers, Macaroons, whatever garnish which usually gone in counter display)
So when it turns out great on counter too, that's what exactly a surprise to me lol. I mean, yes, we definitely should say what we like too and I think a lot of us been praising cakes on Loretta ovens a lot by now but a good plate display is not new.

Sometimes I wonder if they're designed by the same team or not.
(I will never forget the Orchid Oven's Sloissants. THOSE DETAILS IN PLATE PRESENTATION!!!!)

Well said!! Agree!!

The Sloissants!!! That made me LOL 😂 Thank you for that. Both the counter and plate presentation were quite...unique.
