* During a Monster Hunt (Beast Master event), goblins (Makeda's Wagon mini events on weekends) will not drop tokens when being defeated. They will only drop crystals as normal.
* During battle, the hit points will however count towards the Leaderboard score.

New Royal Exchange trade: Tea for Coins, 12 hours - 5 Gossip Tea, 1 sugar | to activate this trade, craft the Tea Knight in the MRC or complete the leaderboard goals for the Tea Spiller. Once the craft is collected, the Royal Exchange will show the craft at the end of the list. NOTE: a trade ticket will not be rewarded for completing this trade.

Monster Hunt and Leaderboard Information

The following notes have been generally consistent from season to season. Season specific information may be posted in the respective discussion thread.

* Check you can spawn monsters!
* Pink Skunkupines don't drop tokens when you defeat them. They might spawn from pink and wedding alicorns.
* There are a range of horses and similar that will spawn the purple glimmer golem. Refer to link below for more information.
* Trolls may be included but they change from being included season to season.
* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.
* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.
* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83751-Castle-Story-08-06-Update-Jousting-Arena-Renovations-(levels-4-amp-5)) thread.
* The Mythic Research Center (from L22) crafts are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.
* If it's your first Monster Hunt, the new trades might appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.
* Remember to collect from Princess Lorelei's fountain for a chance at gold tokens (about a 1 in 3 drop rate)

* BLUE DIRE BOARS will only spawn once a day.

I have enough energy but am not going to compete with players who use boosts. Boosts is the only way I can see players with fewer energy droppers and only a couple of dozen horses can earn 5000 points to my 2300 in the same time. Anyway I already have about 15 feast droppers, so only looking to get a few more troll tokens. Will start collecting from tea ladies and check out exchange new trade. Good luck to those who really want the top prize much more than me.

I hope what happened to me last couple monster events does not... had like 9 ppl in the hunt till it was over then bam logging in after he event not only had i lost i ws like 5th.. they merged us with another group.

The players in my leaderboard don't seem very interested in this MHLB. Many of them have swarms of weekly Alicorns but till today, none of them have brought out huge herds of horses, and I'm the only player who's gone past 2,500. The next closest is at about 1,000.

I've added the official drops from S8 on the Tea Ladies. The ones I had were from the splash screen.

Also added a note to Makeda's main thread and also the Monster Hunt main thread (locked threads) that Makeda's goblins will not drop tokens, but the hit points do count toward leaderboard points.

Agree that 3000 coins is hardly worth the (12 hour) bother, especially since the Naga and Troll Hunter trades give tens of thousands and replenish relatively easily.. The tea ladies are attractive though.

I looked in the hub but didn't find the answer, in the MRC what does the Gold Bug drop?
I'm a bit behind transferring info but you can go back to that event thread in Game Guides. I've got everything ready for a marathon 3-4 hours and now I just have to find time. Too busy in real life at present.

Here's just drops:
Drops: creep tooth, earth wisp, elvenite, expansion permit, fey crystal (rare), fur, iron ore, jewels, light armor, mithril, rat tail, silver ore, wisp lantern

Yes, Princess Lorelei's Fountain can drop Troll Tokens but like most good things in CS, it's a random, rare drop.

I got 2 from the fountain but it can’t be relied on to drop many.

I tried the new Royal Exchange once and got 3K coins. 12h for 3K coins & no trade ticket.... I would never do this again...

Wish I had known this. I don’t think I would have wasted time or energy on that fountain.

After I posted my original question, I finally got a token…hmmm…3 collections a day for the whole event, one token. Meh.

That?s unfortunate, especially since you have to give gold tokens to get the fountain in the first place, right?

I wish that we could delete goals we don?t want to do. Then I could delete the goal to make this fountain (and pay 500,000 coins for a Skunkupine and any number of other goals).

Had this account for 3 months and just today got to 70 gold tokens so I can place the MRC. Now who knows how long I?ll have to wait to actually be able to craft an animal. ☹️😡

Only the current hunt. They usually create a new themed 'statue' each hunt, but this one has been used a couple of times now. Any ones previously purchased are deco only.

To be honest, there wasn?t strong competition so I decided to try for another gold banner to line the road to my castle. Then somebody shot past me today and it was not worth the energy or time (or gem doubler) to pass them. So I settled for another silver banner.

Exactly. The thread related to the fountain says it’s drop is about 1 in 5. My experience was a lot more like 1 in 42. At 1 in 5 it’s a reasonable play to drop some token’s on it for the tokens coming back long term. At a large multiple of that, it’s a rip off.

I’d say at this payout rate, the fountain doesn’t really do what the guides say it will do.

I don’t know that the forum is giving wrong information, but maybe the programming team is forgetting to program in some stuff. ( Like forgetting to turn drops on for the Arcane Arboretum and some other prizes that have come through).

Oh, man... the cream and sugar pitchers - what a fantastic idea. Not only would it be way cuter and on theme, it would've really tied them together as a trio as well. Now, I'll forever see these ladies as lacking, lol.
