General Information

* Madam Makeda will make an appearance for 3 days from Friday's 11am PT - Sundays 6pm PT
* There is a goal in your book called 'Madam Makeda's Visit' that indicates the countdown timer
* Outside of the mini-event there is an extremely rare chance for Goblins to spawn. They will drop crystals as normal.

Purchase Makeda's Wagon for trades which include:
1. Crystal Trade, 3 minutes - 10 traveler's, 10 wanderer's, 10 seeker's crystals | drops a bundle of crystals
2. Traveler's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's
3. Wanderer's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's, 25 wanderer's
4. Seeker's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's, 25 wanderer's, 25 seeker's | drops 1 seeker coins and other crystals
5. Summoner's Portal, 1 hour - 50 seeker's coin
6. Madam Makeda, 1 hour - 50 seeker's coin
7. Mystic Decor Shoppe, 30 minutes - 100 seeker's coin

Thank you! I was frustrated since I still had to wait 7 hours for my Amphitheater to spawn a Seeker Goblin and after looking to your post I tried Thurston's Fort and it spawned a seeker one (90 hits)! :cool:

Edit #1: although Thurston's Fort spawned a Seeker Goblin, it did not count to the goal "Madam Makeda: Goblin Slayer" / Defeat Seeker Goblins (Check Theaters & Amphitheaters) 0/1

Edit #2: my Jousting Arena also spawned a Seeker Goblin (but only with 30 hits) and this one completed the goal. Weird.

I am glad it helped. I had not realized it was the Hatcheries and Stables that spawned goblins. So, after I posted, I tried them and got an 8 hit goblin from one of my Stables.

I've been keeping track of my trades and the results. The Crystal Trade (pay 10-10-10) really pays off if you do it multiple times. Once in awhile, I lose ground (pay 10 yellows, get 9 yellows), but overall, I gained. Last weekend, I did 16 trades and came out ahead (gained 151 purple, 23 yellow, and 31 blue). This weekend, I've done 22 trades so far and gained 226 purple, 45 yellow, and 50 blue. Those numbers are my profit, after subtracting what I spent in trade. Of course, each trade costs me an energy to collect, and energy is my most valuable resource. But I appreciate the opportunity to increase crystals slowly without chasing goblins during an event that requires so much energy in chopping.

Don’t get me wrong I like the mini event, just since buildings changed each time I try to hunt goblins I collect from buildings about 25 times in 12 hrs and get only about 5-6 goblins with usually 1-2 direboars in between, which causes me to feel a little deflated about how often I waste energy on the wrong monsters. The mushroom circles are giving me decent spawns. But I don't have the energy crunch like I did even 3 years ago. I am doing more Wanderer or Traveler trades, but I've gotten an occasional gold nugget so they seem worthwhile.

That's great! I was thinking of choosing the Portal but after reading your post I'm going for Makeda too!

The Crystal Trade imo seems too good to be true considering it's only 3 minutes... it does pay off if u have time and energy and don't mind missing some Wanderer/Seeker crystals from now and then. My strategy is keep doing Crystal Trades until I reach 999 Traveler's Crystals. After reaching that value I start doing Seeker Trades until I have at least a minimum of 50 Traveler Crystals, 10 Wanderer Crystals and 10 Seeker Crystals. That way you can keep doing Crystal Trades all day, everyday, without the need to spawn any goblins at all. It takes time but you can get everything without spawning any goblins, as long as you keep the minimum of crystals to keep doing Crystal Trades.

Agreed. Rode Crystal Trade all week. Started with 11 Seekers. By the end of the week, 289. Whenever Travelers got close to the cap, did Travelers Trade to bring them down. Not bad.

An updated version of my Goblin spawn rate chart below.

We can clearly see a pattern here:
- Traveling Goblins (5HP from mushrooms, 3 HP from plots) have 14% drop rate
- Wandering Goblins (8HP from mines sawmills hatcheries stables cottages) have roughly 20% drop rate
- Wandering Goblins (10HP) also have 20% drop rate from jewelers but 40% from conservatories
- Seeker Goblins (30HP from theaters and jousting arenas) have roughly 70% drop rate
- Seeker Goblins (90HP from amphitheaters libraries taverns) have roughly 40% drop rate

then I guess my Thurston's Fort has to be pretty unlucky...

Finally, on a long run, the crystal trade provides +10 purple +2 yellow +2 blue crystals per trade

Has anyone found this worthwhile yet? I haven?t bothered with it because I can?t see that you get anything out of it, just seems to be something created to waste energy and effort. The goblins are a nuisance I?m having to park a spawn to avoid spending energy on them.

I firstly earned Madame Makeda, then the portal, and now the first creature (Suki). There are a few tasks and the prizes are trade tickets. So yes it’s beneficial so far. Hope the other creatures are as helpful. I will continue to do trades and goblin hunting till things change. There are so many ways Madame Madeka’s portal can go in future, things like expansion permits, energy, and even the occasional gem or great new and unique items like new style alicorns etc. Each player can choose for themselves whether to pursue this mini event or not, I will continue, hoping it’s even better.

What doesn't work is using the double chevron button to take you to the latest or newest post from the list of all threads. As I mostly use my phone to read and my laptop to update then not being able to get to new posts is the problem. I haven't tested it on my laptop. For my own sanity I need to create a new thread. I didn’t record them but I think there were about 18 wanderers, 13 seeker and 23 traveller. I remember it was quite a lot. Now got 3 days until I collect again. I will take a note next time and post.

First collection from crystal dragon -
Traveller crystals - 9
Wanderer crystals - 7
Seeker crystals - 9

I have a feeling that the dragon will take longer to pay for herself than Madame Makeda will. Still in long term those drops are pretty good.

Still liking the mini game.

Is anyone else occasionally spawning goblins even when the event isn’t running?

I know they’re only supposed to spawn during the event and it’s definitely not currently running, because it runs Friday 11am PT to Sunday 6pm PT and it’s currently Tuesday 5:50pm PT, so I’m not sure why it’s happening!

Although it’s happening extremely rarely for me - I remember getting one sometime last week and thought it was just a fluke/bug, but then I just got another one a few minutes ago (Tuesday 5:40pm PT) - it was a Wandering Goblin spawned from a Sparkling Mine.
