Madam Makeda will make an appearance for 3 days on the weekends.
Notes:
* When the goal says this: *Goblins will only spawn when Makeda is visiting your realm*, it's like a Monster Hunt which only activates certain monsters during a specific time. This means there will be other seasons of Makeda's Wagon, so we will all learn what to do together!
* Purchase Makeda's Wagon to do trades. Trades include:
1. Crystal Trade, 3 minutes - 10 traveler's, 10 wanderer's, 10 seeker's crystals | drops a bundle of crystals (more than you traded for)
2. Traveler's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's
3. Wanderer's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's, 25 wanderer's
4. Seeker's Trade, 3 minutes - 50 traveler's, 25 wanderer's, 25 seeker's | drops 1 seeker coins and other crystals
5. Summoner's Portal, 1 hour - 50 seeker's coins
* Defeat Goblins found in various places
* Travelling Goblin - 3 hits | found collecting from plots, mushroom circles
* Wandering Goblin - 10 hits | found in plots, brown mushroom circles, sparkling mine, conservatory | drops Traveler's Crystal, Wanderer's Crystal
* Seeker Goblin - 30 hits | found at the Theatre

* Goblins drop various coloured crystals which are used to trade in Makeda's Wagon

the rewards line are probably all wrong - I could not keep up with how these goals were running and where the rewards screens were coming from as they appeared before the congrats screens! I might not have even not gotten one of the goals cause I have one extra congrats screen, so maybe cause I was doing trades I skipped a goal? #sighs in defeat

The first Seeker Goblin spawned at the Amphitheater had 90 points of health, the second, at the Theater, only 30.

I spawned one from a theatre, one from a mine and one from the 11th mushroom circle.
My conservatories are very stuffy, need to polish them a bit before anything will spawn.

The crystal trade says give crystals to get "rarer" crystals. The blue crystals are "rarer" and yet if u do the trade, u lose blue crystals. So it is backwards from what the trade states. I think this is wrong. U should be giving up some red and yellow crystals to get a few more blues.

Anyone having a different outcome ?

Based on the Splash Screen, this event will be for 3 days and then pop up again in the future.
My theory is it is similar to a Monster Hunt. During a Monster Hunt you can get tokens to trade for things. During Makeda’s mini events we can spawn goblins that will drop crystals. After several mini events, we will have 50 coins to get the portal.

I am equating the Summoning Portal with the Mythic Research Center. Once we get that, we will be able to use the Summoners coins to get new animals that will be released in the future.

Has anyone developed a good strategy for crystals yet?
I am not swimming in energy so I am debating if it is worth spawning goblins from the mushroom circles or just waiting the 12 hours for my 3 Theaters.
So far my Mines and Conservatories have been goblin free. I need to find some bait.

Based on the Splash Screen, this event will be for 3 days and then pop up again in the future.
My theory is it is similar to a Monster Hunt. During a Monster Hunt you can get tokens to trade for things. During Makeda’s mini events we can spawn goblins that will drop crystals. After several mini events, we will have 50 coins to get the portal.

I am equating the Summoning Portal with the Mythic Research Center. Once we get that, we will be able to use the Summoners coins to get new animals that will be released in the future.

Has anyone developed a good strategy for crystals yet?
I am not swimming in energy so I am debating if it is worth spawning goblins from the mushroom circles or just waiting the 12 hours for my 3 Theaters.
So far my Mines and Conservatories have been goblin free. I need to find some bait.

I hope it will stay more than 3 days, at least 7-ish days like the MH would be better.
Yes it looks similar to the Trade Wagon during MH, even the required quantities are the same.
My strategy would be the following:
- I have purchased a second amphitheater, and hope for two 90 hits goblins every 8 hours
- I have purchased a fifth theater, and hope for five 30 hits goblins every 12 hours
- I have 4 conservatories out, I hope for at least one 10 hits goblin every 2 hours
- I won't bother with plots, because the drop rate is terrible (only two 3 hits goblins in 58 attempts, for very little return)

the 1st trade is awful : you are basically trading for less blue crystals, which is the most difficult to find. Ridiculous
I will always try to go for the 4th trade in order to get the seeker's coin, by doing the 3 steps above. And will complete purple and yellow crystals by visiting mushroom circles if need be.

It’s 1 coin per trade. I have just bought 2 more amphitheaters and am collecting fur for a 4th one. I have had to sell conservatories though. I had about 8 of them originally.

No stress with Madame Makeda, only the first steps are timed. So you can take all the time to hunt, trade & craft. Post your drops as on top of crystals, plenty of building materials also drop.

I think the Amphitheater will be like the MH horses that spawn a "best bang for your buck" 90-hit goblin, getting lots of the basic crystal that we trade for rarer ones.

I just got a Traveler goblin (3-hit) from harvesting fellora plant (4 plots = 1 goblin). None from wheat or strawberries so far.

Seems like my Queendom is overrun with dire boars. Working on more fur and selling some royal buildings and making room for another Amphitheatre. Too slow going and eating up too much energy chasing goblins in mushroom circles.

Is this how it’s going to be now, 2 events every time? Glad I have heaps of energy to collect every day. Think I’ll be collecting 4 dogs and/or cats in tent. Looks like any energy droppers welcome!

We're all in the same boat with the new circles in the Apothecary being blank. Your guess as to what they're going to be (if it's not a bug and they're going to be anything at all) is as good as anyone's right now.

A new version of monster hunt. I really wish I had read this forum first. I have been hoarding energy points and used 1500 of them yesterday looking for goblins trying to get 50 coins. So far I?ve gotten five. Lol 😆 I do like the Beauty and the Beast theme. The dancing wardrobes are adorable 😊

I added 8 conservatories which are usually a bust for goblins. Added two more theaters and two more amphitheaters but of course I did not have enough fur for both of them so now I have a construction site. This morning my first amphitheater gave me a dire bore and the second one I got a goblin.

I thought the same thing about the tent for energy, except I used 23 of my 25 cabbages to get todays dog. I really do miss the VIDEOS for extra cabbages. It?s almost impossible to get 4 tent items in 31 days when I only collect 2 cabbages a day.

Yes. This is certainly going to be an event we cannot rush through. I think I have 10 coins now and am happy about that. If I can sustain the pace, it will take 5 of these mini events before I can get the portal. It is nice to have a long term goal to work towards.
I have gotten used to being able to get everything within 2 weeks where this falls more in the main storyline type of activity. It is nice having goals at different durations. This keeps things interesting and will be a nice alternative to the Monster Hunts as the monsters spawn from different locations.

I really like the idea of this recurring mini event and I'm loving Makeda's design - those vibrant jewel tones are amazing! But I was sad to realize my realm is all but handicapped for this whole event. Unless I'm misunderstanding, progressing in a timely fashion depends largely on spawns from buildings which is where I hit a brick wall in my realm.

After years of playing I'm well and above the building caps so purchasing/building more for this event is impossible. I would literally need to sell dozens of fully upgraded buildings in order to purchase a single new build which just doesn't seem like a good trade off to me.

Maybe they could add additional buildings as spawn sites in future releases to help us over-capped players?

If i am mistaken please let me know.. i think the you have 2 many buildings is the Non-Royal ones.. I have sold Royal buidlings like Spires and it lets me replace 1 for 1. Go to your info page, (the other tab to checking your wall), and see how many royal buildings you have. There is a cap of 50 so if you?re over that number you will have to sell enough royal buildings to get under 50 before you can buy any more. To check which are royal buildings go to market, buildings, royal, which is where you can buy conservatories , theatres and amphitheatres. I sold 1 jeweller, 2 watchtowers and 2 spires (spires because we?ve hardly ever had to use them for events. I chose to put my building purchases towards amphitheatres and plain theatres, as I?ve had almost 100% goblin spawn from them. The holdup in amphitheatres is the number of fur to get them to level 1.

Hope this info helps.

Now I need a reminder of when the goblins will go away, so I don?t collect from the buildings and brown mushroom circles and only get direboars.

from my experience, I would say:
- 25% from conservatories. I have 4 out currently, and I am dropping one goblin every time I go visit them (only once I got 2, only once I got none)
- less than 10% from sparkling mines. I have seen only one goblin from mines since this event began :/

One of the goal screens (goblin hunter) has a 3 day timer in it when you look in your goal book. If that's the case then the mini events might only go for 3 days making today the last day and maybe only 2 hours to go ...just a guess.

There are a lot of similarities to Monster Hunts. The Seekers Coins are like Gold Tokens - it took 70 Gold Tokens to craft the MRC; it takes 50 coins to craft the Summoners Portal. And remember in the early years, you could only trigger one Purple Golem per day. The Travelers Trade is mostly practical when you max out on Travelers Crystals.

For now, we want to concentrate on the Seekers Trade to get the coins. Although the lower trades are giving out some nice perks; much preferred to the ones from the Trade Wagon extras. Until we get the portal, we won?t know what it can give us.

I have questions about the Chrystal Trade. One of the ingredients going into the trade was 10 blue crystals. I received 2 blue crystals back. Did anyone get similar results? Is this a beneficial trade?

The event is badly designed, not having a timer is definitely frustrating. There was a 3 day timer at the start for some original goal. There is always a count down timer for events, the fact that this doesn't have one I believe is an oversight. Hopefully this will be corrected next time Madam visits!

We did not want players to have to complete the tutorial quest each time, so it does not have a timer to allow players to complete it over time and not lose their progress as her visits are short.

The timed goal will last the duration of her visit. We will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve this event going forward.
We really enjoy being able to give players new things to do, so please bear with us (our team is very small) as we test the waters with these new features.

For Spiritwind and Shibuya… Here are my drops from the different trades in case this will be helpful for the inventories you do.
Travelers Trade: Wanderers Crystal, Seekers Crystal, Coins x15 or x30, Spellbound Beam (1 trade of 9 dropped the beam. Everything else was the crystals and 30 coins)
Wanderers Trade: Wanderers Crystal, Seekers Crystal, Stone x2 (only did one of these trades)

You should be able to safely complete trades outside of her visits. The only thing that is limited time are the goblin spawns and ability to purchase the wagon.

I started with 46 14 and 24 crystals before the trade
And after I had 36 4 and 14.
So I never did that again.

I did enjoy that event though. It's looking very good for the future.

I did like this event, however spent too much energy trying to spawn some goblins. Especially as I didn?t get even one from my mines and only 1 per 5 conservatories. Also the spawn rate could be a little lower on mushrooms, considering I spawned 2 direboars in between goblins, each at about 10 collections from mushrooms in a patch of 56 mushroom circles. I was lucky enough to have lots of energy and was able to collect enough fur to add 2 more amphitheatres and 2 new ordinary theatres, which made for easily gained amounts of crystals in a timely manner from both buildings types. I do feel for those players who are energy poor and will take months to take advantage of this new event. Find it frustrating that there will be 2 events every week, which can be a bit of a distraction from the fortnightly events. Just a few thoughts about madam makeda activity.

Thank you S8 for giving us a new activity, and I can?t wait to see what is on the other side of the portal.

They are great for monster materials in general. I often hunt them to replenish my stocks.

Yes, the mini event is over for now. It sounds like it will reoccur on weekends. Please refer to Sgt Beebo's post (#71) further up in this thread.

I have 54 royal buildings ,59 crafting buildings and over 200 town buildings.....
Is 100% for sure that if i sell 5 royal buildings i can by a new one?????....

I sold 6 of my towers and spires to craft one extra amphitheater…..
I don’t even want to think this possibility…..
