Can't purchase gems

I can't buy gems and I can't figure out why.Please help. When I try to purchase gems I put in my password and a message appears saying I have to purchase the app for this item! I don't get it. Please help

This is what usually happens when you download the app with a different Apple ID than the one you're trying to make the purchase with. To fix this, you need to delete the app (which won't affect your character data) and reinstall it with the ID you're planning to use when you make your purchase.

A workaround might be to download FS Valentines. Buy the gems in that program. Close. Reopen your (classic) FS and your gems should be there.
