Bakery Story Sale Suggestion Thread: January - March 2023

Hi all,

Trying out a slightly different format this time :) What are some items you would like to see on sale between January-March of 2023?

These could be season-based items; items that were previously offered/introduced in these months in Restaurant Story's history; holiday-related; or even random items you would like to see again.

For reference, here are some (but not all!) holidays/events expected to fall within this period:

New Year's Day (January 1)
Lunar New Year (January 22)
Valentine's Day (February 14)
President's Day (February 20) (USA-specific)
Mardi Gras/Carneval (February 21)
Daylight Savings (March 12)
St. Patrick's Day (March 17)

I'd also love to see more bakery-y items please

few ideas:
for valentine:
chocolate making station? (like ya know preparation with oven and stuff the way a lot of decos showing process of baking bread etc)
more chocolate displays (counter, glass display, cake deco)
chocolate ovens, fountain, something 5days goal with cocoa maker?

chinese new year:
huh, maybe something to do with noodles? well, noodles making corner perhaps
or pao making station?? (it'll go well with those pao recipes)
some creative looking counter, probably in the shape of mooncake? idk if this exists already

just general ideas

At this point, I just want a regular sale that offers more than a few items. I'm still pretty let down that we didn't get any real Christmas/New Years sale that offered lots of items as we've gotten used to over the years. The 12 day thing was alright but didn't work in the BS/RS games as much as it did in CS.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't me asking for no more weekly sales - I love the weekly sale set up and that they focus on relisting goal content exclusively - they're great for newer/more casual players who have missed out on that content over the years. That said, these sales offer very little for the older/more intensive players such as myself. I've yet to make any purchases in these sales since I've only missed out on a handful of goals since they started them and I know I'm not alone in this.

It would be amazing if, in addition to the weekly sales, we could get a larger sale every month. These sales could focus on listing other, non-goal related content that fits the month whether that be seasonal or holiday related items. It would be a chance to offer box items out of the box, older LTO items, expansions and the like; all of which is more likely to appeal to a wider range of players.

I also really liked the few times over the last year where they included new non-goal items in sales. Those were very pleasant surprises and I quickly snapped up every new item listed so I'd love to see more of that! One of the biggest things I miss from the older game set up is when we would get new deco items and recipes outside of goals and mystery boxes.

I agree, I miss having those big sales like for Black Friday and Christmas. I *think* Black Friday this past year had more items for sale at one time than Christmas but it still wasn't up to par with how it used to be. It left me confused and waiting for the "big" sales which never came. I know a lot has changed with the game/goal set up but I do miss those big sales. Even if they make it available for a shorter time, I still prefer those over the ones where only 3 or so items are put on sale for a whole week.

I would rather have items that are not currently in catalogue rather than have ones that are available discounted. Sales are an opportunity to get something you can't normally get. If they limit what they put for sale as they do, then I vote for items not in catalogue. Discounts on items should be done - but in addition to sales with different "sales". Just my opinion

I really wish that when you are searching through the gifts they would change it from a tap motion to a scroll motion. It would be alot easier on our devices to not constantly be tapping and it would be much faster. Scrolling through 100 pages of gifts for find basic parts or food for numerous neighbors is VERY tedious.

What kind of device do you use? I use iPhone and I can scroll/swipe to send gifts. I cannot do that for things in my inventory though.
