Not particularly happy at the recent spate of "has a chance" to drop event prizes. A guaranteed trade ticket dropper? I probably would put a lot of effort into. "Has a chance"? Mmmm not so sure.

The character looks great, anyway. When I saw the cards in the Sneak Peek, I was hoping for 7 of them and a Kwanzaa-themed event, but if it follows the other card event, maybe only 5 types of cards.

Goal 2 has us buy the Oracle Domain, visit Old Thomas, and upgrade the event building. It takes 1 wood to upgrade, then 3 aspen trees and a Fortune Table are gifted into inventory.

The Oracle Domain costs $3000, is 2x2, and has a 1 hour timer. The Fortune Table is 1x1 and has a 2 hour timer.

IDK why we are gifted Aspen trees, the next goal says to chop down a Red Acer tree! Hopefully all trees work!

The oracle domain does not drop the cards every time, for me its three out of five on both accounts. I hope we dont need loads of them

Ah, i just noticed they sometimes drop from the tower guardians as well, not very often though. I hope we will need less then with the its a hoot event, because christmas and new years celebrations with friends and family will have a big impact on the time spent. Or maybe a better droprate this time? :)

Reporting an issue in the fortune table: in previous events the 2 hour timer item would usually drop one, occasionally two and rarely three materials for event. This is why in the statistics the drop rate is at 133% for fortune scrolls. I have not observed in any account over several collections a multiple drop from the fortune table, leading me to report this issue as it is unreasonable to expect all players to buy the extra event item to be able to finish or making a really time intensive event even more time consuming over the holidays.

I have had one drop of 2 scrolls. So multiples are still possible.

The drop rate is lower then I expected, I used the august event as reference, but so far only 2x 2 drops in 10 collections. So drop rate of less then 120%!

Everyone, be careful not to tap the "skip" button when getting to the goal needing Ivy. Each one is *50* gems. And there are 2 for a total of 100 gems. So if you tap the "skip Ivy", you don't get the item drop, it would be another 50 gems, I think, the way it's presented. Considering that a 12 hour Ivy speed up is only 24 gems, this could be an expensive mistake.

My specialty pigs don't seem to drop event items, except for a few from older events when I first started playing. So my Gnome and Flying pigs drop things, but Feasting Pig, Mud Puddle, and Uni-pig and Wilbur et al don't. I don't even try Ghost Pig anymore at all.

FANGBEASTS and Dire Boars are spawning INSANELY! Skunkupines too! Every time I collect from Pigs, the Fangbeasts spawn numerous times, that?s 5 whacks each time. At this rate all my energy is being expended fighting them and Dire Boars who pop up randomly at other thing, and Skunkupines from trees. Between them and the LOUSY 1 drop from the Fortune table, this is showing to be ANOTHER Goal that won?t be Completed!

I?ve said it before and I?ll say it again?.WHY? Why is S8 Constantly making these Goals so unattainable? The Drops are terrible, the number of items needed to make needed pieces is nuts, and the number of items needed to complete whatever were building gets Insanely Outrageous!

It?s not FUN anymore when we?re consistently Frustrated, Aggravated and Angry! And frankly I?m way past any of these! I can?t write it because I?ll get in trouble if I do?��

A good way to avoid that is spawn from trees then don't complete the chopping. While there is that monster on your board no others will spawn - I keep some items on the outer edges so 'parking' a monster doesn't allow you to collect from the item you're after. eg I have a fangbeast spawned from trees, and the unusable aura around it does not include my pigs, so I'm able to collect from them. I do the same once an event is over, I park a monster on far right of my land and leave him there ( sometimes for a couple of wks) until I need to tame a new type of monster. Hope this helps.

Ha! I’ve dealt my tarots and they read COVID-19 :D

Started off with a flu two days ago but tested positive today.

On the bright side, I’ll have this event to keep me company; maybe I’ll clean up my queendom too. I’ll also be able to catch up on all the streaming series I’ve left half-watched.

On the downside I’m staring at an 11lb leg of ham I baked for a family potluck dinner that I’m going to be eating for the next week :p

I feel your pain deadpixel, earlier this wk I looking at spending Xmas in hospital, following their rules of not moving out of our immediate area and wearing masks except for eating or drinking and only 1 visitor for half an hour (no hugs, handshakes, kisses etc). Please don't despair you can always rely on the forum to also help keep you sane. Of course if I was generous I'd lend you my unicorn in the kitchen for company, however the fairy in the bedroom would sulk too much.

Thank you! Staying away from those then! Wilbur on iPad and Feasting pig on iPhone did drop the time wisp once. Reason I called out the device type was I?ve noticed the drops aren?t the same between devices for couple items that I regularly need. Could be different for event items just sharing my experience.

My fate snatcher gave me 3 then two collections - none. And my mines aren't dropping even 1 per collection time Not used to that happening. 3 bottle necks - Ivy, mines and fate snatcher. 'sigh'. I'll just have to keep trying I guess.

Wonder if this is a bug because the previous owl event that has this format allowed the craft of 3 owl students but in this event I can only craft 1 Gina before max was reached so I only needed 1 oracle?s deck instead of 3. Hard going to get sufficient time teas from Gina and fate snatcher spawns for trickster?s hands if you only have 1 Gina.

I agree, my Gina is giving me 1 Time Tea per collection. We will need 108 Time Teas to craft the 6 Tea Readings (higher level) for the final level 7 upgrade of the Oracle Domain. That is 216 hours (2 hour timer on Gina times 108). That is 9 days worth of collections with no sleep, and we have 11 days left of this event? to me the maths is not adding up- how are we supposed to collect all the time teas in time?

You cannot even craft one Tea Reading per day as to collect enough Tea Readings at the current drop rate of 1, would take 36 hours.

The first page says there is a cap of 3 Gina, but I can?t craft more than one like Zoroak above.

Is this a bug Storm8? I?ve forced closed a few times to check.

I can't comment on the drops, but in regards to Shibuya's info on the first page - generally, the information is based off of previous events at the start as a general guide. Then, as the event progresses and players report differences, the inventory info in the posts will be corrected to be accurate on these changes.

It's likely that in the last event of this nature, we could have 3 of the item in question but in this event the cap has been changed.

Correct. I even put the link the previous event I used as base line. With 1 Gina it will be very hard to finish, making this event one of the close to impossible to finish for the waste majority without using substantial gems.

It is an impossible event to complete if you sleep and do not set your alarm every 2 hours and do not use gems. Realistically, I can collect 8 or 9 time teas per day if I do not miss a collection during waking hours. This would require 12 days to collect and only 11 days left on this event. I have used gems to speed up quite a few collections and bought an extra fortune table so ahead of most at goal 11. As joyampersand has said, the math does not add up, most likely it is an error, which would hopefully be fixed next week. I’ve sent a message to S8 support.

No, it does not, I am on goal 11, the penultimate goal, which requires Gina’s drops. Neighbour on last goal cannot craft more than 1 Gina. Have crafted 2 extra oracle’s decks already.

Thank you for alerting Storm8 @zoroak, I am also on the penultimate goal, with no ability to craft more than 1 Gina - so the event will be impossible to finish without spending many gems. Ive already spent in excess of 100 pounds on Castle Story during these 12 days of deals, and the other deals (expansion permit pack + unlimited 10 min energy), and so Im a bit put out by the idea of not being able to complete this event without spending further (which I cannot now afford to do).

I love Castle Story and I am more than happy to spend money supporting the game that I and so many others love so much, but this event is making me a little sad. I really hope Storm8 can fix the requirements or drops from Gina, as it would be very sad to come so far and be unable to complete. :(

Yes, then all three disappear from craft, so if you want more cuardians don't do fate snatcher till you're done with them. After making 3 Gina that craft is also closed.

Because the mine drop is not used anywhere else, I stopped as there's no longer a use for them. I have 3 Gina's and no craft left in that building. When my Gina's mature I make sure there is no other monster out (Fate Snatcher & others) then collect from Gina's. I often get fate snatcher spawned from 1 - 2 and then guaranteed spawn from the building. Has made getting enough items for tea reading craft a bit quicker.

Can I just say that I'm disappointed with the animation on the guardians and especially the fate snatcher? The spawned fate snatcher has a brilliant animation with lightning bolts, so I was really looking forward to putting him in my villains gallery. Turns out the crafted fate snatcher (same with the tower guardians) is really boring, next to no animation. Can we ask for the lightning bolts animation to be added in, pretty please? :love-struck:

The best bit of this event is that I've finally chopped enough trees to finish the Council storyline :D

I'm now on the tedious last stage of the event trying to get enough tea to do the final upgrade. Everything else is done.

Not everyone has that problem. I was able to do the upgrade. Even though I had all needed components there was only 1 green button labelled BUILD so I did just that.
IN THE PROCESS THE ACTION TOOK 200 GEMS FROM MY ACCOUNT SO - EVERYONE TAKE CARE.

I just did the upgrade and it took 200 of my gems also.

Maybe that’s why I can’t upgrade. I don’t have 200 gems.

Please log a ticket with Support (link in post 1 on page 1 as normal) for those who've lost gems. They will be returned. Please don't post any support comms on the forum or you will be in violation of forum rules.

As an aside, I won't be around much this week so if there any issues please post in the bugs forum and not here in discussions. It makes it quite difficult for me to quickly make reports to S8 when bugs are in the discussion thread. I'll be back in time to post goals when the next event starts but will not generally be available for another week or 2.

Yes it would seem so as I had less than 200 gems before & could not upgrade, now have over 200 gems AND NOW the"Build" button is green & looks as though it will work but
Obviously don't want to do as afraid will lose gems as warned by other players!

Soooo... I just wasted 3 days trying to spawn a Fate Snatcher only to realize it wasn't happening because my game glitched and I didn't realize it.

At some point between finishing goal 8 and starting goal 9 my progress rolled back so the oracle domain was only at level 4 but my goal progress remained where it was on goal 9. I never even noticed the upgrade rolled back because nothing else in my progress did! So it was three days of me trying to spawn a fate snatcher with no results but plenty of frustration.

I feel like if we're going to have to deal with rollbacks in the game, they should add a special sound effect for it so we all know exactly if/when they happen, lol.

The S8 staff return to work Tuesday Jan 2 PST if they are following standard US holiday closure. So I think it will be a good 48 hours before people start looking into this/fixing the software. I will just enjoy working on main storyline until I see the issue is fixed, unless I have to upgrade on Wednesday before the event timer runs out. I am sure anyone who loses gems from this, will be reimbursed!

Code is written months out in advance, I am sure this simply contains the same error as the "Woodland" event earlier in December. It will get fixed.

When upgrading the Oracle Domain to LVL7 150gems is taken!
Not a nice surprise.

I tried to level up and did not lose gems! So it could be fixed. Now take SW's advice and log a ticket if you have gem loses.

The Tea was a bit harder, I had to park a beast to collect because I would have lost waste amounts of energy hacking useless Snatchers.

Yes, but I harvested all the cards before I had enough Tea! The spawn rate was higher then expected, also you need less cards as Tea.

You need 18 Tea, that is 6 harvest from 3 Ginas, with >50% garantie spawn, you have 9 cards. In the meantime, the Oracle can spawn up to 12 Snatchers. So you can can have >20 cards for ever 18 Tea! And you just need 14, hence the overflow.

If you struggle completing the last step, you also have 2 days to purchase a pack in the top right hand corner that contains 1 tea reading / 2 unshuffled decks / 3 good omens / 4 ill omens (and 1 explorer permit), for a fairly small amount with 90% off

I knew this would be a difficult event. But granted that I was on leave for its entirety, I expected to be able to complete and get sleep! Seems not. It’s not the drop rate the major issue as it was consistent enough except the fortune scroll (but I have all those I need with 2 days left), for it’s the amount of each crafts we need. :(

since they fixed the login issue a few months back, I’ve only been able to complete 1 event in its entirety :( I used to not be able to complete maybe 2 events per year before.

Still enjoy the game, but the event requirements are way too high.

About the prophetic pavilion. After the fate snatcher is crafted a lock by goal appears but it doesn?t let you see it and it says ends soon. What is that last craft and when it becomes available for crafting? There?s no info about that last mysterious craft.

It's nothing, it always shows up in such events after all the crafts are done - just a placeholder, so to speak.

Same here?I also stopped, now I remember why as well! This one I actually spent a lot of time on it. I have 2 days left w/no hope. I haven?t even upgraded to lv. 6 yet. 😫 Well at least I was able to get Gina.

Same here ! I didn't stop doing events (and i NEED to do them ��) !!! LOL but not �� this one is a really hard reminder !!! i'm a little bit further, need to finish level 7 ... still need 4 !!!! Thea things you make with the drops from Gina .. 4?—18= 72 drops ... in only about 24 hrs for me??? With 3 Gina's??? I'm freaking out !!!!

BOTTLENECK : item from Gina! Only 1 per collection... needs ages to collect from mines, bad drops, so more ages to get enough to make Gina number 2 ... (Gina 1 already cost me a day or 3!!!) i will not mention Gina 3 ... that makes me really cry ��

So the bottleneck, storm 8, as mentioned on page 1, is not the 1 hrs drop thing (forgot name) (it never is !!) ... in these kind of events , items like Gina are!!! because we need ridiculously much of those drop-items !!! And it takes to much time to make 3 ! To few days left to collect enough from them !

This is way to hard! You really can't miss a collection on nothing because the amounts whe need are to much !

It annoys the heck out of me: the difference in high and lower levels is absurd !!!!

Okay ... i maybe have more resources in my inventory than a lower level player, but my Day too has only 24 hours ! And these events are time based !!! You cannot miss a collection ! (You can miss sleep, but no collection ��) These events (for a really long time now) are Not resources based because we only have to use, overall , New resources !!!

So , my opinion : we all need the same time to complete the event, high L or lower L ...

Then please can anyone explain to me : why do we (high L) need to make more items and collect more drops to make those items, to complete these events ???

Look at most high levels Who are playing !!! Visit their Kingdoms .. the items tell you how long they have been playing! That is fanatic playing, a lot of energy and time put in !!! How much energy are we supposed to put into a game to keep a (supposed to be) FUN game playing ?

it's that I like to have a goal in a game I play, and you'll find plenty of those here, but it must remain fun and achievable, without having to lose sleep ��

I think many of us feel the same! I just realized today I have no hope of completing the final goal since I need way too many tea collections to finish. Anyone who decided to actually enjoy the holiday without playing the game for a day or two or missed collecting EVERY 2 hours day and night will come up short! Not sure why I keep trying to do these events! And I was able to create 3 Ginas but it?s still not enough.

Finished with 18 hours to spare. Considering I have tons of energy and time, that was still cutting it a bit close. Not sure where to move everything - the art is great and the drops good enough to keep them out. But they don?t fit any of my themed areas. Right now they?re in my ?new event working space?.

I put Tasha and the tent in the circus area (with fortuneteller tent and other tents), and the Oracle Domain in the desert area with the Gina's (geenies maybe??), the Snatcher is with other meanies in the meanies area and Guardians are with the knights for now, but not sure I'll keep them out.

That was one huge run of an event. Hope we don't get this format too often, especially not around Holidays please!

Well, another two weeks of hoping, constant logging in.....for yet another failure and more stuff to hide away in storage, where they can't be a constant reminder. Not to point blame, but forum let me down this time. Bought 2nd table & believed the info on page 1, that said Gina capped at one, only to realize too late, that was all wrong.

Been playing for years, so I'm seasoned and invested in my game board. Which means I try most events, given the time, and I often spend money. Granted, this is just a game, but when a person invests time & money, they are hoping to be rewarded, not gonged. Which eventually leads me to invest in something else for happiness. Hope you're listening S8, because I'm finding myself playing & investing less and less.

Waaaay too hard!!! This event is more like work, no rewards along the way-the goals to hit level 7 are, quite frankly, ridiculous. I have no hope of finishing and I accept that. There have been many, many events I have been unable to finish over the years. But this one feels extra difficult.

Hmm… oddly enough I didn’t have to spend a single gem on this event. Granted that I had quite a bit of time on my hands as I was confined to my home because of COVID-19, but I still managed to finish on time, and crafted one extra of every needed item; this despite being asleep, literally, for two days. I guess being able to collect at intervals of every one/two hours goes a long way.

This sucked! Between the hopeless drop rate (fortune table/ Gina's) and high requirements (tea times mostly) I was one Good Omen and two Tea Readings short, even with three Gina's. Seriously who has time to collect resources on the hour every hour 24/7!!! It never used to be this hard and I'm playing more regularly now.

The Oracle Domain Lv.7 is supposed to drop lumin essence and more. I collected from it since the end of the event. Everything I earn is 300 coins, nothing else from it. Did I misunderstand something about the drops? Collection time is 2 hours.

I also only got a few coins, so put it away today, it's now just another building that has gone to waste after an event.

Especially annoying as it cost me 200 gems that I still have not got back. (Wonder how long I have to wait?)
