Ditto. When I first started playing there was less emphasis on buying, growing and chopping trees and less strange infrequent monsters to gather rare items which are needed by the hundreds. But I keep coming back!

I have 12 farmhouses out and am experiencing the same issue. Looking at the requirements on page one and considering how low the drop/spawn rates are, this one takes the prize on time intensive. Really considering giving it a miss, since it feels too much like hard work for a casual game...

I have 20 farmhouses. First time through one poodlebeast and one fangbeast. Second time through one poodlebeast and one fangbeast. This is a terrible spawn rate. Usually the farmhouses spawn at least 5 of whatever monster is required to slay for the event. It will take a lot more time and resources to get the necessary ribbons from the poodlebeasts.

Not sure how this will end up whether the event is doable or not.

I'm on step one of part 9, says put on a poodle show (make sure there are no monsters on your board) but everyone should be aware that when you tap the 'go' button it takes you to the Queens or Kings keep. I assume that means it happens when it's time collect the adventure you're on. If you were smart and kept it open the mushroom adventure is only 2 hrs wait. Hope this helps others. I have to wait about 15hrs :blue: for this next step. Good thing grooming shop still allows us to craft items.

I 100% agree. Played for years, can?t advance beyond level 50. Can?t send messages to friends. It seems like it?s rigged to make you waste resources and spend $$$. The last event, I needed jewels. I have THREE jewelers and they kept coming up with NO JEWELS. AND I have hundreds of friends. When I have to ask the community for items, it takes days to get 20 (or whatever) items. I?m frustrated with the way things are now and considering punting it permanently. I stopped playing for a while only to see that it?s even worse now.

When I tapped the 'go' button in to do list it takes me to my Queens Keep. I'm thinking that because the info says 'no monster on board' an then says beat cat, then clean up the cat fur ball that when my current adventure will spawn a larger beast which will take a high number of hits to clear. This scenario has happened that way on some past events. I will know for sure when I collect from Keep in a couple hours.

Just did my first Put on a Show in the keep. Cost 100coins and 10 mins. Cat was spawned and took 35 hits to get fur ball. From page 1 there are more times during list to put on a show, I'm assuming that each one gets harder.

Like others, I thought the adventure was the four hour craft in Toulouse's shop. I have sent out my men on an adventure in the keep and will now have to wait 17 and a half hours.
Luckily I can keep working in Toulouse's shop.

When I tapped the 'go' button in to do list it takes me to my Queens Keep. I'm thinking that because the info says 'no monster on board' an then says beat cat, then clean up the cat fur ball that when my current adventure will spawn a larger beast which will take a high number of hits to clear. This scenario has happened that way on some past events. I will know for sure when I collect from Keep in a couple hours.

yes it is very doable without the second shop.
the bottleneck is the collection from Ivy's hut. you have plenty of time to craft the required number of Trim Poodles and Ribbon Poodles before you have enough magic dye to craft your Colorful Poodles. And while you wait, every time you collect 3 Bubble Faeries, you can work on the Faerie Styling Kit to get poodle prizes (and extra magic dyes!).

Corn is recommended though, as it also spawn regular skunkupines, when most of the others spawn dire boars...

Why is the Trimming Kit available to craft in the Magic Forge prior to Goal 10 if you can't get brushes from poodleskunks until reaching Goal 10? I've harvested close to 100 corn & other crops, but only spawned regular skunkupines.

The Bubble Fountain has a 4hr collection time and I was only able to buy 1.
As soon as I placed it, I was able to collect from it and I only got 1 Enchanted Scissors.

Yes, I am skipping this event, yet I have an event craft in the Potion Shop! I can't recall seeing Event crafts unless I actually started the event. And I *almost* started it, wasting resources, since it's at the top. I haven't even done the initial step to visit Old Thomas!

So so glad I am skipping this. I don't see how having a plethora of Poodles, a Poodle show, and other Poodle events that don't involve a Ruler or the general Castle/kingdom theme, contributes to the "Castle Story" theme. Kind of like that flame being that didn't fit in with the other decor. This type of thing belongs more in an animal-themed game IMO.

Corn spawns only skunkupines, or in this event poodleskunks. Corn also has only 3 min growth. I found that once I started collecting I replanted and by the time I had cleared about 12 plots the next lot were ready for harvest. In all we need 36 brushes as we need 3 trimming kits. Hope corn serves you well.

no worries, we will have our 4 pairs by the time we collect 4 times from Ivy's hut :)

you will find them around farmhouses. but here you need to be even more patient: about 1 every 10 attempts roughly.
you can also be unlucky like me in the last hour: no poodlebeast in 25 visits to farm houses, and counting...

What goal are you on? They don't show up until goal 10. Plant corn, 3 minute timer, I got 2 out of collecting 38 plots. Sometimes 3 sometimes only 1.

Have you checked your whole board for other monsters you forgot about? Make sure you check every corner just in case. Then make sure you're on the correct level to spawn them. Poodlebeast from farmhouses and poodleskunk from corn. If still having problems you should probably ask for help from support.

I come back 35 minutes later, collect from Ivy?s Hut and other things and the KIT/CHEST I put to make is GONE!!! Not only is it GONE, I?m MISSING A FAIRY BUBBLE!!! If you are working on the Poodle Perfection part of the event, I found when gathering Poodle Collars that the drop rate is 3ish for the Poodlebeasts from Farmhouses and only 1ish from and Poodleskunks from harvesting crops.

The farmhouse spawn may be the worst barrier we have ever encountered.

To fight 4 beasts, it takes me 6-8 runs through my farmhouses. That is essentially constant game play for over 1 hour. To make two ribbon poodles a day, I need to be able to log in atleast 16 times a day.

And the fangbeasts...
I can go an entire monster hunt and spawn 4 fangbeasts from my farmhouses.
This event I get 2 fangbeasts for every 14 farmhouses.

Managed to get the poodlebeast pet. Took so much time and energy and waiting for farmhouses maturing. Now comes the an even more tedious time if I want poodleskunk, which comes with loads of unnecessary dropped material clogging inventory. Why 500 collars? (would be great if we could delete unused useless leftover materials, would free up inventory space) With the spawn rate so low and slow I'mnot sure many players will be able to get both poodlebeast and poodleskunk. I did many trades in poodle shop and ended up with only a variety of pink and blue poodles. Would have loved a multicoloured one. Frustrated that I got no poodle fairy either. My FOMO will make me do the poodleskunk anyway. Hope everyone is able to finish this challenge :tickled_pink:

It may be doable for me after all. I was feeling hopeless at the cost of 300 hits and 500 collars others posted, sorry I should remember your name! But my fomo took the better of me or worse haha so I plowed on and it seems going at an affordable pace. Not sure if I can finish at the end but right now I?m enjoying it, no pressure. While waiting for Ivy?s Hut I can make the trimmed poodle and spawn the beast to make the decoration one when I?m free. Not like those with 2hr timer that really stresses me out. Good game S8. For me at least. And yes I want the hairy cat!
Oh and one more to add that the building is fully done so even if I didn?t finish I still have something nice to look at and with poodles and the purple trees, that?s what I?m playing for.
And while waiting for the 10 mins countdown for the farmhouses to be ready to spawn the beast I can collect harvest and spawn the skunk so maximize the hr I got to play the game so all is working out for me. I have to say recently I have seen more games with steps spacing out that way so really pleased S8. Good job on those!

keep collecting from Ivy's hut and by the time you have all the required colorful poodles, I am sure you will have enough scissors and conditioners.
if you have extra energy droppers, I would suggest you spend them on bubble trees to get bubble faeries. making faerie styling kits is very helpful as it sometimes gives you extra magic dyes (I got a few that way) and also extra trim/ribbon/colorful poodles !

My first few collections from the Bubble Fountain didn’t drop any scissors and I knew I wouldn’t be able to do lots of collections, so I purchased the Deluxe Bubble Fountain, but even the Deluxe Bubble Fountain isn’t much better (I’ve had at least 2 collections from it with no scissors dropping). The only benefit of purchasing seems to be that you have 2 fountains, so more collections possible.

It's funny that over the yrs I've wished we could convert some of the collection items or so called monsters we've battled to decorations for my Queendom. Items like the fairy bubbles would look great on display. The amount and quality of some of those items have been magnificent, and it's a shame they get relegated to languish in inventory never to be adored in public again. Must say the artists do some fabulous work, so hope we get offered the opportunity to obtain the Hairest cat too.

You need a total of 3 trimming kits because you need a total of 2 dyeing kits because you need 1 decoration kit. A total of 2 trimming kits is used in your dyeing kites and you need 1 of those dyeing kits to make the decorations kit.

In other words you give 1 trimming kit, 1 dyeing kit, and 1 decorations kit; the dyeing kit uses a trimming kit and the decorations kit uses a dyeing kit.

The decorations kit takes 8 hours to make also.

Two dying kits However, make your extra dying kit as soon as you have 4 more scissors, while you are waiting for the conditioner to drop. You will not want to wait the extra 8 hours for the dying kit before crafting the decoration kit.

Hopefully you have already made the third trimming kit.

I honestly wonder what is the drop rate of the Faerie Styling Kit. I've tried to do it about once a night (most efficient for me). Ya'll, I have 4 Pink Poodles and none of the other possible poodles. What the heck sort of "rare" drop rate is this? :( I really wish purple was the other option instead of white and blue. Ah well, I still appreciate RNG in things, but it's such weird odds how the game will/won't drop things for people. Definitely had times where it felt like I drew the short straw for drops. I honestly wonder what is the drop rate of the Faerie Styling Kit. I've tried to do it about once a night (most efficient for me). Ya'll, I have 4 Pink Poodles and none of the other possible poodles. What the heck sort of "rare" drop rate is this? :( I really wish purple was the other option instead of white and blue. Ah well, I still appreciate RNG in things, but it's such weird odds how the game will/won't drop things for people. Definitely had times where it felt like I drew the short straw for drops. If you want to continue to work on getting the Poodle Faerie or Poodle Pup don't complete this storyline. The Bubble Tree no longer gives Bubble Faeries or Shampoo Bubbles after you acquire Toulouse. Not sure this has always been the case in other storylines, I don't remember it being so. Course, I could be having a senior moment. Anyone know?

I was able to collect another 12 fairy bubbles after summoning Toulouse, unfortunately didn't get fairy poodle but am happy with coloured and puppy poodles I gained.

Just like the Tiny Reindeer's cycle. And if Toulouse's drops are anything like the Tiny Reindeer's, we'll be seeing Expansion Permits once every year or so, maybe.

:( even if I planned my game play, the fountain had drop rates has made it impossible for me to finish on time. With the drops I’ve had up to now, an extra day, maybe even two, would have been required to complete the event without gems. I used to be able to complete all events, even the difficult ones before, but since I was able to get back in the game once they fixed the login issue, I have not been able to complete two. :( I’m still thankful for the events, but the drop rates are ridiculous.

This event was a lot of work! I only think it's right that it would give a energy dropper ! If it gives what is mentioned on the first page, i'm dissapointed : a week for a lantern? Or things a really don't need ? And all that work and time put in the event? With really bad spawn and droprate? That would be very very very dissapointing!!

(But i LOVED the colours! Those pastel pinks and purples and the grafics of it ! And i loved recieving counsil scrolls !!! Keep that up storm8)

And again for the new event: no energy dropper once again !!!

I feel like we high levels have to put in a lot more work then the lowerlevels but don't have any more hours in a Day to spent!!! (We need to deliver and collect a lot more items!) So it would be nice to earn a bit more energy droppers to help make up for it

Toulouse is same as weekly tiny reindeer drops at least 1 trade ticket each wk with the chance of expansion permit. So far I've hade drops of 2 trade tickets and 1 trade ticket. Would have been ecstatic to have those as prizes when I was on lower level. Then it took ages to make enough tickets to craft permits for expanding. Of course now I have plenty of ticket droppers. There have been a few energy droppers in the last few months, along with feast droppers to help adventures. We need a variety of drops to make the game better and fairer for all levels, and so far that's been happening on a rotational cycle. Even though I have quite a few energy droppers, feast droppers, tickets droppers I'm happy with most of the prizes now covering those needs.

And besides CS is supposed to be about growing your Queendom using a variety of items to fill the space and having neighbours you can chat and make requests to. So I'm just happy to play as much as I want, not how much some players believe they are being 'pushed' by S8 to do more. Social contacts are great as you can chat to ppl from far off places which can increase world knowledge.
