* During the monster hunt, planned maintenance will take place. There is an announcement at the top of the forum.
* For ~2 hours all games will be down whilst adjustments are made for daylight savings. This happens twice a year. It only lasts for a couple of hours.
* No additional time is given for any events that fall in planned maintenance time. Use the time zone converter in post 1 of every thread if you are unsure of when that is for you.

* It was originally thought that this Monster Hunt was related to the previous 2 events in order to get Drusilla. This turned out not to be the case, so information removed to avoid confusion. SW.

Monster Hunt and Leaderboard Information

The following notes have been generally consistent from season to season. Season specific information may be posted in the respective discussion thread.

* Check you can spawn monsters!
* Pink Skunkupines don't drop tokens when you defeat them. They might spawn from pink and wedding alicorns.
* There are a range of horses and similar that will spawn the purple glimmer golem. Refer to link below for more information.
* Trolls may be included but they change from being included season to season.
* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.
* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.
* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83751-Castle-Story-08-06-Update-Jousting-Arena-Renovations-(levels-4-amp-5)) thread.
* The Mythic Research Center (from L22) crafts are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.
* If it's your first Monster Hunt, the new trades might appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.
* Remember to collect from Princess Lorelei's fountain for a chance at gold tokens (about a 1 in 3 drop rate)

* BLUE DIRE BOARS will only spawn once a day.

Note: Had to force close and open game multiple times b4 leaderboard would attach. You need a leaderboard to get points. Without a leaderboard points won't count (but you'll still get monster tokens).

Not sure what prizes add to vampire medal totals ??? I only see treasure chests, gold tokens and crowns on leaderboard. So far treasure chests and gold tokens don't drop vampire medals. Can someone confirm crowns will also award vampire medals? I don't want to go too far and miss out on these if S8 hasn't set them up to award correctly.

And, will we get enough vampire medals from somewhere during the MH ??? Kinda need 97 vampire medals to make 2 of each prize (if u completely finished the 1st 2 events and didn't purchase the throne).

I don't think we will get any more Vampire Medals unless you purchase the statue that drops them. I am up to Goal 4, and none of the Mystery Chests are dropping medals.

I agree !!!! I wasn't able to finish the first event, second i finished. I don't have enough Metals to make all 3 so no walker for me iff we don't get any more Metals from this event

I was thinking that also, however I won't say 'no thanks' to any energy droppers. Would have loved if Armoured Gorgon would also occasionally drop a gem. (not enough gem droppers to make up for gems 'accidentally' lost)
