GENERAL INFORMATION TO iOS PLAYERS:

There is a new version on ios available - you can check if you have version 2.3.6 in game - open the MENU | HELP/FAQ screen and then on the lower right side is the number of the game. If you don't have this version, you may need to reinstall the app. This version corrects the missing dialogue issue.

General Information
* Major prize: Drusilla, the Vampire Queen (in the goals called The Sanguine Queen) - collect vampire medals in each of the events listed below.

* Francine and Francine's Beau were the rewards for completing this event.
* This event also rewards Vampire Medals by completing various goals which you will need to craft various items in the Trade Wagon.
* By crafting the 3 vampire items, you will rewarded with The Sanguine Queen.
* You will not have enough Vampire Medals from the first event, you will need to participate in the upcoming events. I imagine that after the 3rd event, we will have enough Vampire Medals to craft all 3 items.
* If you purchase the Vampire Throne, this will help you collect Vampire Medals as well.

Builder's Guild Crafting Information

Builder's Guild crafts -
* S8 updated the ability to get a cottage so you do not have to sell a Town Building if you're at the cap.
* To craft the Grim Workshop, you will need to sell your workshop and then the craft will be available.
* To craft the Potion Shop, you may needed to have completed event no 1. You have to sell your potion shop and then the craft will be available. You can craft 1 or 2, they take 15 mins each.

Trees, Ivy. Item 2. 90 min, oddly first one was 90 min, now it's 2 hours
Butler, sawmills, 60 min

Wells work for Zombie maid.

The 4 hour adventure is in the event crafting building.

Items 1 and 2 require 6 each of the dead tree item, so if we need 22 of each to finish, we will need 484 of those items.

I've used about 1,100 energy.

I have essentially all my bush items, all the butler, half of the dead tree items and tree items, and 1/3 of my cows (cows definitely have an abysmal drop rate).

I said essentially all, because I don't collect the final items until after I send all the adventures.
I will get to about 90 items from the trees, and 95 items from the cows, 440 dead tree items. Then I will send as many adventures as I can with the bags dropped from dead trees, collect from saw mills and Ivy. (Making sure I don't get all 22 sawmill items until after I'm done with adventures).

I've cleared 26 dead trees at a time. Each run through I get between 50 and 60 items.

Yes, the drop rate from the cow is bad. That is about right. I have a herd of about 25 cows and pick up 2 or 3 after collecting a round.

Sawmills are also poor droppers for me. Some collections from both do not give the event item. In addition to the cows. I definitely have 1 unlucky account, it is not able to do adventures like the other 3 due to really low drops.

But, it looks like we only need 11 days of Ivy drops, which is awesome! So if you "miss" more than 1, you won't be in trouble, unless the final craft timers are super long.

I've only had 1 bauble drop from 6 ghost butlers. Limit on card says 99 but they are still not dropping baubles after the first one. Is there a limit of only one bauble in inventory at a time?

Zombie Maids also spawn from Koi Ponds.
Reginald has a 22 hour timer. Will post speed up time this afternoon.
First drop from Reginald was Creep Tooth and 260 coins.

Wow I am spending a lot energy and do not feel I have much to show for it. I am waiting on the results of my first "adventure". I sure hope I get some great drops. Does anyone have any useful tips or strategies? I am trying to keep one of the pond maids on the board because I keep spawning the Ghost Butlers. Right now I have enough of the Hoarding Essence. Don't even get me started on those stingy cows lol!!
I would say, do not try to go for the Side Goal where you have to **** 50 of the pond spawns until the very end of the event. Just do enough to keep leveling up, and keep one pond monster parked so you don't spawn too many Dead Tree ghosts. Concentrate on getting ahead on chopping dead trees, since that gives you the drops for the adventures. You may have fewer cows and bushes and sawmills to collect from, if you can chop ahead on the trees, do more adventures sooner rather than later, and get *those* drops. If you don't miss Ivy collections, you should have maybe 2 days to collect from ponds to try to get the side goal craft.

Is anyone else having difficulty spawning the zombie maid? I?ve spawned 3 and about 100 dire boars. My ponds and wells seems to predominantly spawn the dire boars. I need 2 more of the dusters to even upgrade my vault to a level 4 and can?t get them as I?m not spawning the maid. And need even more of the dusters for the mausoleum goals.
You have finished the Troll storyline and placed the swamp? Until I did that, I spawned many more dire boars than event monsters. And if you are upgrading to Level 4, you are way ahead of me, I won't get out of Level 2 until tonight/early tomorrow. It's really annoying/frustrating to get inundated with Dire Boars!

- The Throne is indeed to help get extra medals in case you did not finish the regular events. And it can be used as a deco, if you have an adequate corner in your realm.

- Jean Pierre & Reginald have he same drops, and their pets as well. I think it is more about the graphics then.

- Study the Beyond see page 1, and yes extra supplies to graft key parts.

- Monster hunt will be in November, there is in general 1x per month.

To add to what others have said about checking Page 1......If you check the goals in your book, you will see the one with the Zombie Maid. If you tap on the various characters in the Mausoleum, you will see what they require to craft. You can find all event related information on Page 1, in one or the other of the first few posts.

The first few days of any event Page 1 isn't fully complete, since it takes a little time for people to learn what all the goals/requirements are, and post them. Our mods and other helpers are not paid to do this, they aren't S8 staff. So they get to it when they can, outside of their own work/life needs.

I love my walkers as well! I also have way more than what you can choose. I was also locked out for a while but then storm eight did something to fix the problem, and I haven?t had any trouble since. Knock on wood. LOL

Not the Misty Marshlands. If I am remembering correctly, in addition to the "A Boar-ing Problem" goal, you also have to go through the Troll goals until the Swampy Pond is placed. Then the excessive Dire Boar spawns should slow down. Until you start the next part of the Troll goals. That's why I asked if you finished all the Troll ones.

Yes, placing the swampy pond was the life saver then, so check if you have that, then it should not happen that you only get the boars. If you do have it, maybe put it in storage and placing it back on the board (and maybe force closing the game once it inside storage and again after you place it) might help. Good luck!
Right, then you have to *wait* to start the next part, because they start up again until you defeat all the Troll Kings, and finish the storyline. So place the pond....then wait until you are either skipping an event, or have enough energy to finish the rest/fight the 3 Kings. IDR how many hits to defeat, it is probably in that Game Guide somewhere.

And you are right, they spawn like crazy...until you *need* them lololol

This sort of goals are glitched (and I suspect this is intentionally coded that way): I have 292 neighbors. Every time I send such requests to my neighbors, I receive 19/20 in less than one hour, and the counter will remain at 19/20 until the following day (23 hours without receiving anything, seriously??)
This time, I will leave Stormie's Castle and a few of my reliable ones out of the initial requests to see how the game behaves... :rolleyes:

My neighbors are replying with the Ecto beers as I can see in the messages but the count received isnt reflected in the quest summary. Its still showing 0/20 instead of 7/20.

I find most times I have to force close then reopen for count to be truly reflected. Maybe I'm lucky with neighbours because in 7 yrs I've only used gems once to get the last one. This time replies happened so fast I almost missed it.

I have had a number of neighbour requests from players on forum so I know they are active.

I did force close. There are also none in my inventory.

I'm not too worried yet because I have days of Ivy collections, but it is weird that the responses are in my social feed, but none are in inventory or counting (2 force closes).

Edit: I now have 9 news item reports of neighbors responding and ONE ecto root beer.

Considering how many, many of us dislike having to set timers and log in *constantly* to finish, NO. IMO it's refreshing to not have all this anxiety around finishing events, or collecting Neighbor Requests, or *having* to set a timer for Ivy Collections because if you miss one you can't finish. I am enjoying the relaxed pace immensely. Many many of us have been asking for more time to work on storylines, and to not stress out over Ivy/Troll Camp, or stress out over Neighbor requests taking 2 days to fill. So this "slower pace" is IMO S8 listening to the majority of us, and making the events enjoyable because we don't have to be so, so strict about everything, like many previous events were.

If you chop most all the Dead Trees first, and get most all the Hex O'Lanterns needed, you can do Adventures up front (assuming you have enough Gold Apples), and you will need fewer Cow collections, plus fewer Ghost, Bush, Sawmill, Crab Apple Tree, and Ivy collections.

A number of long time players have noted, it's helpful to have several dozen of the animals when needing animal collections. You can get enough from a round of collections to do an event craft, if you have more than a few. If you haven't gotten a drop from the Adventure. Only 10 cows will make it very difficult to finish without logging in a lot.

If your Ivy has a 16 hour timer, please report that to Support, it's supposed to be 12 hours.

I'm not too worried yet because I have days of Ivy collections, but it is weird that the responses are in my social feed, but none are in inventory or counting (2 force closes).

Edit: I now have 9 news item reports of neighbors responding and ONE ecto root beer.

There is definitely something wrong with the request system. I have sent to all my neighbors. Only 15 have responded and it's been 9 hours since the last one has come in.

I usually send to less than half my neighbors and get the responses in 2-4 hours.

Quite an expensive cat, ok for Kiwi Kingdom lvl 50 but bit of an ask for KK2 low level. You would need to have everything ready ahead of time, no thinking of doing it at the last minute.

Don't see how I'll finish in time. The Ivy or Troll collection always gets me. I can't be attached to the game 247. I'm only at stage 5 and next is 8 more of each key piece. Literally impossible. I'm getting to the point of why spend money on this game if the events are so impossible to finish. I totally disagree with the low level vs high level conundrum. So players that have been loyal for years and most likely have spent a ton of real money get penalized? Meanwhile low level players get the prizes by doing half the work? Even if your time zone has the event ending in the middle of your sleep period, there are still at least 12 relatively easy to get Ivy collections, if you have managed to get 2 a day so far and are at Vault Level 5.

Lower level players haven't yet built up kingdoms, having fewer resources. So a lower level Stable will take longer in between collections, these accounts may get 1 collection less per day than higher level buildings. These accounts haven't yet gotten the coin/time to expand, so less space and coin to have multiple animals, multiple ponds, etc. Higher level players aren't being "penalized" by having greater requirements. At some point, if you can log in enough/have enough energy, events will not be extremely difficult to finish. The reward for getting through the challenging period, is to have an easier time getting through events.

One of the great things about this game, for me personally, is that there is some strategy needed, to finish events and get the prizes. If I wanted a game where I didn't have to think much/pay attention to what I am doing, I would go play a slot machine game. If matching/looking for patterns was fun/relaxing for me, I would look for that type of game. If you prefer a reward being random, with not much effort or thought involved, rewarding new players the same as long time players, S8 has a bunch of great slot machine type games. They have a variety of games, with different game strategies, for whatever people find enjoyable. If this type of game is frustrating you instead of being fun, maybe explore some other options. There's something for everyone's tastes IMO.

Things in the game that move around a lot, like the walkers, use more device resources. If you don't have a lot available on your device for gaming, this can slow your game down/possibly crash it. Similar to PC games, that list processor/RAM minimums to play a game.

Actually i have to agree with the both of you. For some collections being a high level player is way easier, so in that case a higher number of necessary items is justified. However, in case of the Ivy hut/troll camp collections its not justified, for the times of collection and energy required etc are identical for low and high level players.

Sorry about misunderstanding! I thought you were upset at not being able to finish *this* event.

Maybe a little but of both lol. But I misread the time left. The Value Pack said 2 days left and that's what I thought was the time remaining for the whole event. But I went back to storybook today and it says 6 like you said, which is a relief. I'm just starting the level to request the root beers so I should definitely finish in time, which great since I did not complete the upgrade to the Fortified Lab in time (finished at Level 8) so that was disappointing.

And I do understand your point on high level vs low as we do have more items to collect from and other s****s from playing so long. I've advocated for a subscription model, including in-app purchases, thus giving subs some advantage in these time-consuming events. Maybe subs get one Value-Pack automatically each event. Something like that. Or early access to events. Just a thought.

Nothing to worry here. Getting the sanguine queen has no effect on the current goals towards getting Jean Pierre.
The only thing to do to get Jean Pierre is: Upgrade your Pfefferknot Vault to Level 6. Then, you will receive a key and you will be able to choose between Jean Pierre or Reginald.

I get where you are coming from and there are so many different game play styles.
Some neighbors want more than one event at a time and others like you want a duration in between events.
I wonder if it would be helpful for gamers like you to skip events and work on building up supplies?

My complaint is I want more time in between the beginning of events. Once I finish an event I want at least three days to build up supplies work on my kingdom. But all you generally have is a few hours.

I know there's still a while to go but please be mindful that after you upgrade to L6 you still will need a decent amount of time (6 hours) to craft your choice of the ghosts and then their respective pets. The adventure and crafts are all in the Mausoleum.
Seraph is a cat and Fluffy is a dog if that helps with your choice of ghosts.

The order is:
Jean Pierre, 1 hour - Pfefferknot Vault Key
OR
Reginald, 1 hour - Pfefferknot Vault Key

Patrol The Graveyard, 4 hours - 5 Lumin Essence - this craft gives you the Spirit Lantern

Fluffy Sr., 1 hour - 1 Spirit Lantern, 50 Silver Ore, 3 Lumin Essence
OR
Seraph, 1 hour - 1 Spirit Ring, 50 Jewels, 5 Enchanter's Essence

I admit I'm finishing this event mainly to get Seraph the cat to add to my cat collection. After so many years of playing, I am in it for the graphics. I do love my little kingdom and enjoy creating themed areas. Unfortunately not a fan of Halloween (and my holidays do not include Christmas) so I will likely be taking it relatively easy until January. The game play itself is not a prime consideration.

I'm the opposite, my FOMO won't let me skip any event. I can't work because of disabilities and CS is an outlet from boredom and a distraction from pain. Besides I really enjoy chatting to neighbours a bit. It's nice to see their places in the world and their opinions of the state of the real world in which we live. I'm a live and let live kind of person. But I don't critique any one's style of play. Though I do read lots of forum threads, where I've been able to find lots of good info, so please keep posting GiselleX16, everyone's input matters.

omg you are speaking my truth!!! I did the same thing and was hoping and wishing for the reset to happen. funny thing is 3 hours later when my purple cow finally dropped a gem which is so rare a reset happened within 5 seconds and the next time my cow didn't drop a gem so I lost that... resets only happen when you don't want them... I played this round cuz I only wanted the cat it was so cute. I didn't need any of these items because what they drop I have plenty of

The Hub's Inventory List explains where to find various items. Tap on S for Silver, there's a link for each letter, avoid scrolling through the entire alphabet. At least a few browsers/devices don't show the embedded links really clearly!

I?m trying to finish, I left the piece that needs the Cows and Bushes for last?.HA! The drops from the Cows stinks! All I get is, ?You can?t hold anymore?milk, fertilizer, hide, etc?. I thought Ivy?s house would be the problem so, I concentrated on finishing that 1st. Little did I know that the Cows, of all things, would be the problem. Unfortunately, Items needed drops have been Horrendous for quite some time here.

S8 needs to recalibrate their systems to correct this, ?RANDOM DROPS? Problem!

IKR?! Yeah Ivy’s Hut is not too bad this time, or me, at least. And the Mausoleum run helped too. Overall I think it’s good plan this time around. It gave enough time to breath between rounds and of course this forum and the moderators helped tremendously, knowing what’s coming next!
Especially the Asking Neighbor does not block players from continuing fullfiling the next steps within the level, not like those Chapter-based quests, ugh.

Sorry to say that Drusilla was only available during the 2 events this time. Was waiting for confirmation before posting. The vampire throne is still dropping medals so I guess once you've crafted 2 of each then it has no more use. I'll update page 1 tomorrow.
