Prize Information

Gilded Dragon creep tooth, earth wisp, elvenite, expansion permit, fey crystal, fur, golden apple, golden egg, golden nugget, iron ore, jewels, light armor, mithril, rat tail, silver ore, wisp lantern

Tadpole Kelpie coins, coal, dragon scales, earth wisp, jewels, light armor, longsword, mermaid scales

Can someone please post information on whether these horse/similar items spawn the purple glimmer golem so I can update the Hub.

Still to classify:
Clydesdale Horse Yes

Steed of Roses NO
White Horse Yes

Plowing Horse does not spawn glimmer golems. Same for Favio's & the Cranberry pony.

Leaderboard goal prizes - the numbers will differ depending on your game level

1 Mystery Chest - random items that will go to your inventory, energy balance or points on the leaderboard screen - IT'S NOT AN ACTUAL CHEST THAT GOES TO YOUR INVENTORY

Monster Hunt and Leaderboard Information

The following notes have been generally consistent from season to season. Season specific information may be posted in the respective discussion thread.

* Check you can spawn monsters!
* Pink Skunkupines don't drop tokens when you defeat them. They might spawn from pink and wedding alicorns.
* There are a range of horses and similar that will spawn the purple glimmer golem. Refer to link below for more information.
* Trolls may be included but they change from being included season to season.
* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.
* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.
* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83751-Castle-Story-08-06-Update-Jousting-Arena-Renovations-(levels-4-amp-5)) thread.
* The Mythic Research Center (from L22) crafts are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.
* If it's your first Monster Hunt, the new trades might appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.
* Remember to collect from Princess Lorelei's fountain for a chance at gold tokens (about a 1 in 3 drop rate)

* BLUE DIRE BOARS will only spawn once a day.

Why??! We've literally just had a tedious leaderboard event too.

There are no actual prizes for the goals either as I have no more need for scrolls or crowns.

I am never high up on the leaderboard so I just use it as an opportunity to trade in for gold tokens. And basically just in a position of waiting for Ivy's hunt on the other event so I can put some energy into getting gold tokens. But the "reward" is one scroll?! How silly.

I know it looks like the reward is only 1 scroll, but if you click on it, you'll see it's actually 10 scrolls, which still isn't much, but better than nothing, I guess, if you are working on that storyline.

When I purchased the Golden Mine it GUARANTEED to DROP GOLD! Well, I have needed GOLD NUGGETS since the last Goal where we went on Adventures that needed GOLD NUGGETS. Every day I get, ?You can?t hold more Gold Apples, Gold Eggs? I?ve even collected?.SILVER from it! Do I get GOLD NUGGETS?.Once or Twice in the last MONTH!

NOW, the Monster Hunt and the GOLD DRAGON needs 50 GOLD NUGGETS to make it! I have a measly 80?PLUS the ADVENTURE for this LATEST GOAL needs GOLD NUGGETS! I RARELY get any from the Regular Mines either.

WHY IS THIS S8 for an Item I purchased with DIAMONDS that was GUARANTEED TO DROP GOLD!!!

I feel your pain. I’m also generally maxed on golden eggs and apples. The fine print on the mine tho, is that it ‘always’ drops something golden. Not necessarily nuggets. It’s a shame the gem trade in exchange isn’t 3 apples and 1 nugget as opposed to the current 3 nuggets and 1 apple. We need another use for golden apples. Having said that,I wouldn’t stress about the dragon too much. The craft isn’t limited time, and it’s a max of four anyway.
Loving that we have a gold dragon now. Just need a silver and bronze to complement it,and black, blue and white, to go with our red and green. That will make this little dragonlance fan very happy indeed.

The Gilded Dragon is pretty, I like it a lot. As you can see there, it can spit pretty far! Very impressive!
There is a slight bug though, you can't rotate it, the "rotate" button remains blurred.
Collection time: 22 hours / 88 gems
Hope it will spit some golden nuggets back once in a while...

I am so wanting this dragon. And whilst I think it’s flame is impressive, I’d be more impressed if it was bigger. Looks the same size as the green dragon, which is tiny in comparison to the spawned size when we had to fight it. When it looks like it could be beaten up by your sea kelpie, it’s not all that impressive. At least 2x1 would make it bigger, don’t you think? Still,very nice graphics tho.

Is it just me,or are the mystery chests as stingy as the elves now? Past hunts they used to give upwards of 100-180 of the hit point tokens, lately I’m lucky to get 10. Or I might get two beastmaster tokens. That’s pretty paltry in my books. Spending hours fighting monsters, time and energy, to get that, when we get that anyway in the process of fighting. I mean, these LB/MH events are tedious enough as it is, some half decent reward isn’t too much to be expected ,is it?

I presume that everyone but me has realised that the Windchaser Permit is currently 3 hrs instead of 6 as it was missed off the Trade Exchange halved list last week. I had been collecting from clouds as the dark elves and Skyhawks help balance the sword tokens a bit, so got a nice surprise when my dark seals maxed to find the trade was reduced.

Hi everyone. Not related to the above post but I couldn?t figure out how to post a new comment on the small screen that is my phone.

Just asking your opinion. do I go for unlocking mythic research centre with 70 gold coins or the second cabbage patch (I wasn?t playing during the time I?m assuming the first one was available so I don?t have any cabbage patches. I find the baron tent quite nice and has been helpful in my game with the prizes I have won so far)

I could do with weekly or daily energy droppers. But do these require further gold coins to make in the research centre? Could someone point me to the right forum if there is one for this.

I'd go with the MRC first. Then you have loads of options to craft energy dropping prizes or other prizes/crafts that will benefit where you're at in your game. yes you need more troll tokens (the gold ones) to craft anything in the MRC, but we have monster hunts monthly, so you'll begin to build a supply of them over a few months. Think long term for this goal if you do not have a large energy store (the game lets you go over 40 energy cap).

There are 2 cabbage huts available; 1 for tokens and 1 for gems. Page 1 has information on this if you want to have a read through.

Well I met my goal which was reaching 900 points ( I think) to get that 3 gold tokens prize. I don't need scrolls. I did it by just regular game play and had a monster parked for most of the time. So for me it was a break. Nice.
To clarify, I don't compete for the Leaderboard prize.
And also I have 111 gold tokens. I m not sure what to use them on.
50 gold nuggets is pretty steep

Thank you, xiq24! :) And wow! What a score! I have no idea how they could get that high of a score. Each day I would collect in from one of my weekly energy givers - I only have about 5 weeklies on each account - and then use that to battle a Golem and then use whatever other energy I could scrape together to fight the Blue Dire Boar and a second Golem if possible.

It’s easy to rack up those scores with a few daily gem givers and a bit of judicial gem usage. I noticed Eugenia has maybe twenty or so scattered around his/her realm. Also had Brigidine Blair, which was the recent 800 gem energy item for sale, so I’d say he/she isn’t shy on forking out gems when they want. It’s easy to rack up a couple thousand points with an hour of the gem power up. Couple that with the crafting items, and the double up, you can see how those scores rack up. People often look for the weekly Ali’s as an indication of huge energy supplies. I, personally, prefer the dailies. Been playing since 2013 and only have 6 weekly Ali’s. got some other weeklies, being event items like Rouncey and the destroyer, but most of my energy droppers are dailies. IMO they’re better value. Probably average 4 or 5 energy from each one, sometimes up to 10, with the occasional 20, 50 or even 100 energy drop. Food for thought when s8 have their sales and you can buy maybe 3 or 4 daily Ali’s for the price of one weekly one. Skip some events you don’t have much interest in, and you can stock up the energy. Skip several events, and it’s amazing how quickly your energy can build up ;-) The hard part is the restraint to skip events lol.

so i had 19 people on my leaderboard including myself the whole event until the last fee hours when another person was suddenly added and they ended up taking second place. Not fair to others in the event, kinda weird, never seen that before.

also i still have the goal in my book that says welcome pinni from the other event since i didnt finish it, and it wont go away, no timer.

I've seen weird stuff like that happen, too.

I went back and looked at one of my accounts and noticed that only the top 11 players racked up any points. The bottom 9 all had 0 points, so no participation at all! Wish all my leaderboards were so competitive. Lol!

I finished, but only bc of the other event. Would have never ,played? otherwise. Really disappointed that there was no real price.
