Just chop the Cute Corals - you need to chop them for event anyway- they spawn fang beast with pretty decent rate- also you need to collect from chickens and stables anyway those also have chance for fangbeast.

Thanks so much for the info - great ideas and art as always, but the drops are not all that useful unless you?re doing the Mermaid quest or the Elven Outpost. Thanks Flowersandgems, for pointing this out! I finally remembered to gem skip, which I usually forget. I saw the amount and thought I must have been remembering the wrong thing. 10 times as many is a really big increase! Is it possible its a mistake? I feel good about buying some gems occasionally for fun deco because I have enjoyed this game for years, but when things seem to make it too hard for some players without spending money, thats exactly what I dont want to engage with. I choose to do the things that feel like fun, and just skip things that dont.

Yep. First cow I hit, a royal cow if that makes any difference, spawned a walrus. Only on goal four myself.

WOW, so you forked out 800 gems for this blatant rort? I get it that long time players might have large gem stashes, but newer players would take months,if not years, to gather that amount of gems. It’s such an obvious cash grab it’s sad. I get it if it’s a straight out purchase, fine, but to say there’s added storyline, making people feel they need to get it. That’s just wrong. I hope others realise this and refuse to buy it. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW.

I do the Adventures for a chance at an Ivy drop item, to take the stress off. Hate having to set an alarm.....I used to occasionally get the Adventure prize on at least 1 account, but haven't lately.

Liking that the initial Value Pack for this event included Ivy drops. I've re-checked the initial Splash Screen for Pinni and noted that it doesn't say "chance of energy" it says "the sealmaid will drop energy" so I am assuming it's at least a daily with multiple drops. A weekly would be better, but I am not holding my breath.

Unfortunately the adventure drop is rare and a lot of players will miss out. It isn't contingent on how many times you adventure. Some get it first go, some do 10 and still don't get it. Try to think of it as a bonus if it does happen and if it doesn't then there's always next time. My fingers are crossed for you!

I did, and noticed that your name there uses a lot of unusual fonts, symbols, and keyboards. If you have changed devices since naming your account (or even if you haven't) I wonder if that could somehow be affecting things. If a new device doesn't have the exact same keyboards, symbols, and fonts, this could contribute? Because my game crashed shortly after being on your wall in your account, as I was trying to write out "posting to connect". At least one of those keyboard symbols isn't loaded in my device, I am sure.

The same issue is happening for many people in Dragon Story. The official word is that they hope to resolve it when they update the app for the app store, so maybe they are also planning to update the Castle Story app. However, no timeline has been given as to when that will happen.

What device do you use. Also what level are you? Because only on very recent devices can I log in on high (>50) or very high level accounts (>150).

Have you verified this by the music? Sometimes they are darn near invisible. Especially when you spawn one from a collection source that only "rarely" spawns one. I had one virtually hidden behind buildings once. I had to put things in storage until I could find it.

I am guessing it will just be 1400 coins. S8 has been pretty good in the past about advertising building drops via Splash Screens ahead of time. But IDK for sure. A 1400 coin drop is excellent in my opinion.

I almost have 99 gold coins and I was wondering if buying an alicolt is my best option for energy. And also what the Elvin outpost gives for loads? Is it just random? I need one more gold for another rainbow alicorn.

The elven outpost is totally random. Totally. I tend to ignore the trades for rare items like adamant, or ones where they want 35 gold nuggets coz you know you’ll just get 8 bronze runes in return. What’s worked for me once or twice, is to actually swap an item. 5 gems to get rid of a rare trade for something ,hopefully, more common is worth it at times. I’ve often found I get gold runes from the most common of items, as opposed to the rare stuff. Perseverance is the key tho. The more trades you do,the more chance you have of getting that elusive gold. Such a marvellous feeling seeing two or three gold runes pop up on the screen. After thousands of bronze ;-/ I’ve managed to get about 24 rainbow Ali’s from doing every trade I can. Even let my gold build up and got the mystic kiln, which is handy for when the forges are busy with event items. And I’m sure SW or Shibuya will have a link for the best mrc items. Probably personal choice really. I think the untamed alicolt and the armoured direboar are much the same, energy wise. Armoured fangbeast is a daily dropper, which I prefer over a weekly dropper. Good luck getting that gold u want ;-)

Yes 1400 is good. I guess that makes sense without a splash screen but hard to know for sure. Other buildings from the past from events like this drop more than coins so I guess I just have to see it through til the end lol. Thanks for the reply.

The untamed alicolt and armoured direboar are weekly 40 energy droppers, same as a regular alicorn. I don’t have them, much preferring the daily droppers. But, each to their own ;-) comes down to cosmetics whether you choose the alicolt ,direboar or something else, I guess. Many prefer the cute stuff. I prefer the monsters lol. As Sylvan said, SW has links and info all over the place. Shibuya has an awesome inventory page, pictures and all. I’m sure SW could scrounge up the link for that for you.

The Hub is where SpiritWind has put many many hours lovingly and painstakingly building information like this. If you haven't spent some time browsing around in there, try it! Early into my gameplay, I spent many enjoyable hours there, in addition to the Game Guides. I occasionally peek outside the Discussions section of the Forum into the Bugs & Issues as well as the Suggestions and Feedback one. Learning how to navigate around in there (and there's a thread explaining how to do that, as well), will enable you to find answers to questions like these quickly.

Re: where to spend gold coins, I personally am going for all the weekly energy droppers.Then I will consider others. I did start with a golden peacock for the occasional gold item drops.

I hate when this happens.
when it does happen for me, it is always when my device is connected via Wifi. Then I use my iphone (separate device) and use the "personal hotspot" function, when you create a Wifi hotspot using your cellular data (5th line in the Settings menu of your iphone).
then, I connect the device that has CS on to this Wifi hotspot, and it usually works, I can log back in CS server.
Give it a try maybe...

Hello everyone I find myself in a bit of a pickle and asking for help from all who can. I have been on top of my game with the requirements for the sea horse but not so much for pinni. Everytime theres a storyline like this one I only focus on upgrading the building and not getting enough resources, in this case kelpie shoes, to get the individual prize. At this point I am sitting on 520 kelpie shoes and I'm trying my best to collect from the building every two hours and going on adventures but I'm worried it won't be enough seeing as how the event will end in 1 day and 21 hours. Is it still feasible to get enough kelpie shoes for Pinni? If so, what other strategies can I use to ensure getting her to my realm? Any help/advice is much appreciated.

Make sure you collect and chop all of the faerie chests as they drop kelpie shoes. Defeating the Enraged Walrus also drops the kelpie shoes. If you're getting 25 kelpie shoes now, then getting another 500ish in the time that's left is going to be tight but can be done. If you have gems, I'd suggest a gem skip when it gets to 1 gem to knock off 30 mins each time from the Sea Stables. The faster you can upgrade the building the easier it is. Set a timer so you don't miss any collections if you're going to wait the full 2 hours for the Stables to be ready. I think you need to be willing to use a few gems though given you need nearly 500 kelpie shoes. I'm the wrong gal to ask about math! Don't forfeit sleep though...

Thanks a bunch!!! I should be fully upgraded by the morning, I just need one more ivy collection. I'll keep going on adventures to try my luck in getting the orange kelpie while also getting kelpie shoes. My last resort is to buy the $10 pack that provides 150 shoes. I login collect and out of no where a reset. Yesterday I lost two gold nuggets and a expansion permit plus my energy used to collect.

you should use your gems to collect your last one, it is only 1 gem per 30 mins

I was 2 collections short of Pinni with 4hr10min to go (had a gem trade set to finish 3 min before the event's end, was saving Golden Nuggets for the Dragon from MRC so only had 1 Gem on hand as i'd already used 20-something gems to speed through a few collections, and opted for sleep instead of finishing). I do think this tight doubling up of event styles is meant to encourage resource draining. It's working, though didn't realize my willingness to play and engagement was a resource too. I did all my Faerie Chests, hadn't really re-realized the Walrus spawn monsters did drop horseshoes and just could. Not. Stay awake! 😂❤️

( Edit: Extra Ramble feedback: I'm not a huge fan of all the Event doubling, I ended up choosing between Community Individual Score & MH to focus during my last check in on, but I hope someone out there is enjoying themselves! Resource drain just isn't encouraging me to spend any more, i'm tired of collecting as there's always something (Gem sale bonus prize, side Event prizes, special and Monday sale, not just the rolling limited Events with beautiful art & stories) to miss out on.
I'm not sure i'd have stayed or spent any money at all (hundreds/thousand) if this was the pacing when I first joined. Hope it's working for long term bored players & high spending Official Only individuals who want more official tasks retention though.
Ultimately no longer worth it for me, more tapping = more work, after the first accidentally unfinished Event it gets easier to miss more as i'm not keeping up a personal win streak, & I can't collect 'em all, I got by for a while with positive mindset of course.
I'm glad others have more options now though, and i'm sure some folks like me playing less than ever isn't making a huge dent. )

I never used to end up short but I think it's personally down to a more casual collection style on all but the final day.
& playing Fatigue, as my time is the same.

( Edit: I'd rather spend the time reciprocating my lovely neighbor's care. )

Hello everyone I find myself in a bit of a pickle and asking for help from all who can. I have been on top of my game with the requirements for the sea horse but not so much for pinni. Everytime theres a storyline like this one I only focus on upgrading the building and not getting enough resources, in this case kelpie shoes, to get the individual prize. At this point I am sitting on 520 kelpie shoes and I'm trying my best to collect from the building every two hours and going on adventures but I'm worried it won't be enough seeing as how the event will end in 1 day and 21 hours. Is it still feasible to get enough kelpie shoes for Pinni? If so, what other strategies can I use to ensure getting her to my realm? Any help/advice is much appreciated.

Hi yall good news. Before I began speeding the collections with gems I had 12, I now have none.... But I was able to get Pinni! I finished around an hour before the event ended but I did it. She isn't a weekly dropper but I'm proud that I was able to finish with only a few days to go. It is possible and I pray I don't come up short again in the future lol
