The following notes have been generally consistent from season to season.

* Check you can spawn monsters!
* Pink Skunkupines don't drop tokens when you defeat them. They might spawn from pink and wedding alicorns.
* Gem horses may not spawn glimmer trolls.
* Trolls may be included but they change from being included season to season.
* Monsters also drop their normal items in addition to the tokens.
* Do the Bronze Hunter Trade if you are nearly maxed on Shield tokens so that they don't go to waste.
* A Level 5 Jousting Arena will spawn a monster on every collection. Link to Jousting Arena Renovations (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?83751-Castle-Story-08-06-Update-Jousting-Arena-Renovations-(levels-4-amp-5)) thread.
* The Mythic Research Center (from L22) crafts are available to craft anytime if you have the tokens.
* If it's your first Monster Hunt, the new trades might appear after you do 1 of any trade in the Trade Wagon.
* Remember to collect from Princess Lorelei's fountain for a chance at gold tokens (about a 1 in 3 drop rate)

* BLUE DIRE BOARS will only spawn once a day.

I have to say, I am very pleased with Storm8's decision to add secondary drops (and monster spawns) to Sword Banners. Major reason I usually skip events like this is the wasted effort when you clear the "20 chops item of the event" and only get a couple of event-related materials. the fairy atrium is a reoccuring crafting building. when you chop a chest, the faeries appear on the board, but will not show in your inventory. that is normal. click on the go button in your goal book and it should take you to the atrium if it is on your board somewhere or if it is in your inventory, it will take you there.

What level are you? If you are new to playing, it should be for sale, just not under the Event tab. You might have to scroll through all the Buildings for sale in the Marketplace, IDK where it might be, I bought mine during the first Faerie event.

So disappointing. I waited 2 hours for troll camp. Could wait no more, so I gemmed it for 2 gems when only 30 minutes remained, only to find out like you there was no drop. Very frustrating. This is the part that drives us crazy the most. Longer wait times and nothing to show for it especially when you can only have one of the item (Ivy's hut and Troll camp).

The same thing happened to me where I couldn't get the Faerie Atrium. I filled out a support request and it got resolved within 20 minutes. Before I sent in the request, I shut down my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still no change. About 20 minutes after I submitted my request, the Faerie Atrium appeared in the Market under the FEATURED tab. Not sure if it was my request or just a coincidence and perhaps yours is working now too. I hope so. Good luck!

You don't have to wait for the 'Go on an Adventure' side Goal to go on an Adventure.
You can already spawn Dungeon Dragons by collecting from Cows (the Dragons drop Dragon's Breath), and you can collect Banner Poles by chopping Sword Banners (this is a rare drop)
Adventure requirements : 1 Dragon's Breath + 5 Banner Poles + 1 Golden Nugget (4 hours)

Atrium Antics
About the Faerie Atrium, all 3 prizes (Pond, Egg and Baby) are 'winnable' for everyone.
Make sure you complete all 3 daily goals every day.
As soon as you have enough Faeries for the first prize (Pond or Egg), craft it. Don't save up your Faeries.
After that, keep on collecting and chopping Faerie Chests until you have enough for the second craft (Pond or Egg). Don't save up your Faeries.
After that, near the end of the event, you'll have enough Faeries saved for the final craft (Baby)

(I never bother completing the Goal 'Atrium Antics', you can't do anything with the reward, Faeries don't carry over from event to event.. Faerie Chests also don't carry over, they become deco)

Chopped 2 sword banners. Six dire boars spawned and only 2 skunkupines. The second skunkupines finally appeared with only 3 chops left. Glad they are showing up though. The corn and tomatoes I planted didn't spawn any. Just wish the dire boars weren't so plentiful.

I got a few dire boars too, but there are plenty of skunkupines, just keep chopping.
I'm also chopping cloudberry bushes. They spawn the faun, wisp and skunkupines. At least the faun and wisp are useful.

I'm not a fan of the trolls/ogres at all. I'd much rather have the very cool Green Dragon as a prize vs the baby ogre or the troll woman, no matter their drops. I'm playing the event just because, but not with much enthusiasm. The only thing I really want is the cute frog pond from the Fairy goals. Wish there was a way to get the dragon.

Agree 100%. Switch the wonderful green dragon for the baby ogre or the troll woman. Not a fan of either of those prizes, but absolutely love the green dragon - no matter the drops.

By chance, does anyone have a list of which trees spawn which creatures? I was going to hack willow trees even though they are a 4x4 size until I realized we needed skunkupines. I'd like to put my list together while I'm thinking of it though. I know Aspens are skunks but they are only 6 chops and I'm done with the goal that needed Aspens and was going to change to a 10 chop tree. TIA

We are all frustrated with the troll camp. However instead of hurrying it with gems, and then not getting the drop, you can buy one for 20 gems in the workshop when you make the banner.

And "me too" to the dragon. I welcome the new dragon quest to start soon!

The pop-up appears in the right upper corner and is black, it doesn't stay long, so you have to pay attention not to miss it. We call the message 'black flag' here on the forum.

You are not required to find the Armored Donkey to complete the event. To complete the event, all you need to do is increase the Ogres Cottage to Level 6 and hopefully get enough Ogre Crests to get Felicia.
Most people will not get the Armored Donkey.

Most normal events do start at 11:00 am Pacific time. And end at 6:00 pm Pacific.

I believe there is some confusion here.

You can get a troll crest from the adventure. It?s an infrequent drop. You do not get ogre crests.

In addition to what Spirit Wind said, you also get ogre crests by chopping the faerie chests.

I don't want to take shots at anyone but I think the S8 team was reading the strategies and speculations about how to be placed into a group where you'd have a better chance of being 1st or 2nd. There's no way to execute any of the strategies, if I remember correctly, while also playing the Ogre event because you need to fight skunkupines and dragons which will inevitably shoot you up in the leaderboard in the beginning. I dunno just a thought..... I was hesitant to participate in the event because I didn't like the drops but Oliver is an energy dropper and I got FOMO.

I love Monster Hunt events, so I'm happy every chance it occurs. Don't care about leaderboard, but the Monster Hunt events gives me a chance to get tokens for the energy animals from MRC. Did S8 accidentally schedule 2 events at the same time? This is the first time I've seen this happen.

Without an unlimited energy package to buy, the leaderboard isn't all that useful for me. That being said, I'm still going to play it to the best of my ability.

I have mixed feelings about how S8 handled this. First of all, as someone stated a few pages back, the Dragon was shown on a Splash Screen, which did give us the idea that it would be one of the prizes obtainable during the Ogre the Hill event. In the year that I have been playing, it seems to me that the monster that we fight during these events where the Faerie Atrium is available has always been one of the prizes that we were able to craft in the Faerie Atrium. It seems that should have been what happened in this event as well. It seems like someone dropped the ball or made a mistake in this event.

Many people were disappointed when the Dragon was not available as a prize anywhere during this event, and those of us in the forum rallied and said that we wanted a way to obtain the dragon. On the one hand, it's good that S8 listened to us and made the beast available at all. They didn't have to do it at all. However, I feel that their choice to make it the grand prize in a leaderboard, which as many have already pointed out is only winnable by a very limited number of players, was not a good strategy. If they wanted to make this a Monster Hunt, they should have made the Dragon the final milestone and not the grand prize.

I'm not sure that this can be blamed on out and out greed as some have suggested, but it certainly shows that S8 is not in touch with what players want. They know we wanted the dragon, but they should also know that many people hate lbs and will be disappointed in how this was handled. The Castle Story team does seem much more responsive to player requests than the teams for some of the other games, though. I would love to know how they make decisions and whether or not they have a highly qualified business manager or strategist who knows how to make money for the company. I can name countless ways that they shoot themselves in the foot and effectively lose out on potential sales.

But it?s never just about tokens when the leaderboard is in play. So,s8,get rid of the leaderboard,have the dragon,or future grand prizes,as the main goal prize,and everyone is happy. I am a player who always finishes events early. I don't feel that S8 needs to provide additional challenges for my down time. I don't want to feel stressed by extra events that require more of my time. This is a game, not a job. I despise leaderboards. They are not enjoyable to me in any way. Ten gold tokens is a very poor prize to me as I am maxed out on gold tokens. The goal rewards are not desirable to me either. We never do anything with crowns, and chests in past events have been unremarkable. 2300 points requires a lot of time and energy. I am not interested in investing either. I am very disappointed with how this dragon has been presented to us. S8, you could have done much better!

I see quite a difference in the comments by long term players and those of us who are not that experienced. Personally, I do want more crowns. There are walkers that I would like to purchase. and pretty much any prize chest I can get holds at least some value to me. I have nothing crafted from the MRC yet! I don't have enough energy to battle a million golems, so I can't accumulate gold troll tokens very quickly. Having an additional MH to get more tokens is helpful to me. I just wish that there were a different grand prize or, like I said earlier, that the dragon were the final milestone so that everyone could at least strive to get it.

NOT a fan of 2 events at the same time - and this is coming from player who is basically sitting on pretty much unlimited energy. We need those little 2-3 day breaks between evenrs - or even that 1 week if we manage to finish early. The extra stress is terrible. Please at least give us multiple HIT button when fighting monsters not 3 exactly the same ones. Instead of having like 3 hit buttons with same results- how about a 5, 10, 15 HIT button - which would deliver 15 hits with single button hit. Would make it more manageable for players- clicking your phone to the same place for 4 hours otherwise is very very boring.

Thank you for some feedback sarge ;-) I know you plan events months in advance,but negative feedback about leaderboards has been going on since they first started. Why insist on keeping them? You'll get more people spending actual coin when we want things as opposed to feeling like we are being forced to buy gems to finish events or keep up in lb's.

I must say I am puzzled that you claim to be striving to find new ways to challenge players and yet you choose a format that players complain about over and over. We like the Monster Hunts. But the leaderboard is not optional - EVERYONE is placed in a competing group of 20.
Also putting a highly desired prize in the top spot forces players to engage as there is NO OTHER WAY of obtaining it.

It is incredibly disappointing (if this has been planned for months) that no other prizes or deco were created.
So it’s worse than a regular LB as there is zero reward unless you place 1st or 2nd.

I was genuinely excited for the new “challenge” when it was announced.
That excitement has been replaced with resentment - as a LB is the worse thing you could give us.
AND it excludes 90% of players who can not win the prize.

I feel an apology item should be on the way.

(I should mention I’m a long term player, with large energy resource, and will probably place 1st or 2nd regardless with no money or gems spent.
But I’m still upset that 90% of players are excluded with this.)

One thing we may not be cognizant of on these boards - we are likely only a very small percent of players. It?s possible that Leaderboards are quite profitable for the company and a major reason why so many others (like me) are able to play this great game for free. Good game programmers are not cheap! So LB?s in general don?t bother me - they really are optional because no one is forced to participate to continue the main storyline, and normally there is some kind of deco prize that all participants can strive for.

But this trial way to supplement an event for players who have finished (or waiting out the troll camp drops) seems to have a disconnect with the stated intention. I think the biggest issue was how it was presented on the splash screen - that led people to believe that the prize was potentially obtainable for all with enough time and effort. In retrospect, it might have worked better as a surprise. Or as a craftable reward for collecting enough special tokens - people still miss being able to do that.

I don't understand what you mean about it not being optional. Just because you are in a group doesn't mean that you have to actively participate. :confused:

Just like almost everyone here I'm very surprised and deeply disappointed by this Monster Hunt/ Leader Board.
If it was indeed prepared month in advance, why not create a proper (individual, 2300 Points) prize? That's the least you can do for the 90% of players (almost) always missing out on the LB prize.
I always try to be positive and normally I like Monster Hunts (except the Leader Board part of course). But I can't say anything good about how this is handled.
This is a really really bad decision S8 :(

That's not true, what you say about it never being just about Tokens when a Leader Board is in play.
I always go just for Tokens and I don't even look at the Beast Master tab/ menu.
The fact we are forced into a competitive group, doesn't mean we are actively trying to win.
Gathering Tokens is the only good thing to come out of a MH/ LB combo in my opinion. (+ the individual prize... when one is provided of course...)

Adding my name to this chorus of disapproval. As a high level player who downloaded Castle story when it was first released, I have huge troves of energy, gems and time (recently retired). Yet I do find CS incredibly time consuming and enjoy the breaks from finishing events early. LB are stressful and incredibly unfair to players who are not in as fortunate position as I am. The dragon should have been a goal prize or something to craft in the MRC, not a LB prize. Other than the dragon, there is nothing new in the event for me. I am maxed on troll, shield, sword and staff tokens and have crafted at least 1 or more (if drops are desirable) of everything in the MRC. This LB setup is biased against the newer players or lower level players, who have been excited about the prospect of the new event promising the dungeon dragon, only to be disappointed by being shoved into a leaderboard that they have little chance of being successful in!

The LB should be scrapped - make the Dragon a craft for dragon tokens.

I agree with you. What a disappointment. So only a very limited number of people can win the dragon. I liked that S8 was responsive for the request of giving us a chance to get the dragon, but this was the worst possible way. I have enough energy that if I wanted to be a contender for 1st or 2nd place, I probably could win it, but not sure that's the best use of my energy. I prefer a quest were we have to complete activities to win.

NOT a fan of 2 events at the same time - and this is coming from player who is basically sitting on pretty much unlimited energy. We need those little 2-3 day breaks between evenrs - or even that 1 week if we manage to finish early. The extra stress is terrible. Please at least give us multiple HIT button when fighting monsters not 3 exactly the same ones. Instead of having like 3 hit buttons with same results- how about a 5, 10, 15 HIT button - which would deliver 15 hits with single button hit. Would make it more manageable for players- clicking your phone to the same place for 4 hours otherwise is very very boring.

Yet I do find CS incredibly time consuming and enjoy the breaks from finishing events early. LB are stressful and incredibly unfair to players who are not in as fortunate position as I am. The dragon should have been a goal prize or something to craft in the MRC, not a LB prize. Other than the dragon, there is nothing new in the event for me. I am maxed on troll, shield, sword and staff tokens and have crafted at least 1 or more (if drops are desirable) of everything in the MRC. This LB setup is biased against the newer players or lower level players, who have been excited about the prospect of the new event promising the dungeon dragon, only to be disappointed by being shoved into a leaderboard that they have little chance of being successful in!

Life itself has been more stressful, requiring more energy, the past few years. Gaming is supposed to be something enjoyable, not another time-sucker to add to our "to do" lists.

I was disappointed after starting the Ogre event that the dragon clearly shown on the Splash Screen was unavailable. Bait & switch. 4 characters on the Splash Screen meant "no LB Monster Hunt", those have previously grouped characters in 3's. So I got my hopes up, was looking forward to the event, then No Dragon.

Oh, wait, the Dragon is now available mid-event but only as part of a hated LB?

I am tired & exhausted from the worldwide challenges Real Life has thrown the past few years. Now more than ever, my gaming was something I wanted to be relaxing. Instead it's playing with my emotions, dashing my hopes, demanding I put even more effort into completing a challenge.

We know life often isn't fair, but for a business entity that wants me to spend $$$ choosing to make my life even more unfair than it is, is losing me as a paying customer. S8 please consider thoughts like these moving forward. I haven't ever seen ANY kind of survey, what makes you think I want MORE challenging, time intensive, gameplay right now? We often comment here we WANT more time in between events to work on our storylines, not less, why add extra pressure ? There were a lot of negative comments regarding the new, increased requirements for events, why did you choose to ignore that? And put 2 events in the time usually allotted for 1?

I was finally enjoying this event & dealing with the "no dragon" disappointment until you threw in the MH. Thanks for nothing. Please stop jerking us around emotionally like this, it's driving at least some of us away.

As someone with loads of energy, I find this MH tedious and unnecessary (we just finished a hunt). My personal goal is to finish with no extra event materials. I was going to succeed this time but now I keep spawning skunks. I could not participate in this MH but I am 14 gold tokens from my first untamed allicot; hard to ignore that.

I don't even fight the Special Monsters in Monster Hunts anymore. There is no advantage since S8 stopped having the MH monster drop MH tokens. They only drop their special tokens. Who wants to fight monsters that don't give MH tokens?

Disappointed all over again. Two unhappy emotional reactions evoked from 1 item!

I do NOT enjoy getting my emotions jerked around like this. Even if the dragon appears down the road on sale for gems, I have lost all enthusiasm for it. As well as the game events. If S8's goal is to drive away long time players to make server space for new ones, they are succeeding. But S8 please remember, a "constantly recruiting new customers" business model is unsustainable. Look at what is going on with Peloton. Please consider methods to get us long-time players to willingly spend, not drive us away. Please take into consideration that many many people have had to cut pleasure spending, due to pandemic and weather events. When one is dealing with job/housing loss/illness issues, or cleanup from weather disasters, gaming is an escape/release. Adding to the stress just drives us away. So when the pressures ease, instead of going back to old gaming habits here, we will have left elsewhere to a place that didn't add to stress/disappointment.

I can’t understand how such a beautifully designed creature could end up so wrong.
This should’ve been an item for most kingdoms - not for only a few.

If monetisation was the goal it could’ve been executed so much better.
A simple pricetag with great drops would’ve been more successful.
Instead you’ve alienated your community customers.

A quick semi-solution you could provide would be to add an Armoured Dragon into the MRC - so at least the dragon is craftable in some form.
But the damage to your customers spirits will need a more creative solution.

I love monster hunts but not really leaderboards. What would be nice is how you done the mb a couple of years ago where you could collect the different tokens to get old prizes like the purple unicorn, the werewolf etc. I still would like the get the ones I wasn't able to back then due to lack of energy. is there no way you could bring that back rather than having everyone compete against each other?

One fun fact about Castle Story is it is largely made up of players who've played for years! Our Leaderboards have very high engagement, and although they may not be for everyone, for now they're one of the events we will continue to release for the large number that do enjoy them, new and old players. We will try and be more thoughtful with how we approach previews, as well as which content we're putting in which types of events.

It costs 120 gems to buy a troll banner.

It is not worth speeding up the troll camp because of random drops.

Without an unlimited energy package to buy, the leaderboard isn't all that useful for me. That being said, I'm still going to play it to the best of my ability.

I have mixed feelings about how S8 handled this. First of all, as someone stated a few pages back, the Dragon was shown on a Splash Screen, which did give us the idea that it would be one of the prizes obtainable during the Ogre the Hill event. In the year that I have been playing, it seems to me that the monster that we fight during these events where the Faerie Atrium is available has always been one of the prizes that we were able to craft in the Faerie Atrium. It seems that should have been what happened in this event as well. It seems like someone dropped the ball or made a mistake in this event.

Many people were disappointed when the Dragon was not available as a prize anywhere during this event, and those of us in the forum rallied and said that we wanted a way to obtain the dragon. On the one hand, it's good that S8 listened to us and made the beast available at all. They didn't have to do it at all. However, I feel that their choice to make it the grand prize in a leaderboard, which as many have already pointed out is only winnable by a very limited number of players, was not a good strategy. If they wanted to make this a Monster Hunt, they should have made the Dragon the final milestone and not the grand prize.

I'm not sure that this can be blamed on out and out greed as some have suggested, but it certainly shows that S8 is not in touch with what players want. They know we wanted the dragon, but they should also know that many people hate lbs and will be disappointed in how this was handled. The Castle Story team does seem much more responsive to player requests than the teams for some of the other games, though. I would love to know how they make decisions and whether or not they have a highly qualified business manager or strategist who knows how to make money for the company. I can name countless ways that they shoot themselves in the foot and effectively lose out on potential sales.

They showed the dragon as a "challenge" almost from the beginning which led people to speculate. It is MOST DEFINITELY a money grab. I have plenty of gems and energy droppers I even bought the statue giving the points and if I wanted it I have the resources but I see the person at the top of my leaderboard is pushing to get it and I don't care enough. I'm not even trying that much for the gold coins because I am fed up with the money grabbing. CastleStory is the last Storm8 I continue playing. I started with DragonStory and played others for the rewards at first and then because I enjoyed them until they got too annoying. I keep hoping that CastleStory will go back to it's roots

S8 should at least offer the main prize (in this case the Dragon) for players who finish 1-6, not only the first 2. It is even worse than the Olympics !!!

It is only 20 gems to buy the troll crest when crafting the troll banner - same price as a full speed up of the troll camp, without the random factor.

I'm so confused. I tried to read through all the posts since the monster hunt appeared but I didn't see anything about Academy Scrolls, yet it seems to me that one appears in one of the LB screens over the dragon (on the right side). What am I missing? Anyone know anything about how Academy Scrolls figure into the LB event? Help! :confused:

Then why is there nothing for these players who have played for years? No new levels, many have thousands and thousands of energy they can't use, nothing to buy with crowns, only basic expansion drops...

People in my group want to try and tie, but whenever I have an even score with someone during play, it never shows us tied. Whoever got to the score first is placed higher. I don't know if that's true once the event ends. Has anyone ever tied before on a monster hunt showing multiple first or second place finishes?

If you look at post 191, there are two people showing 2nd place, even though they are on separate lines. So they are tied.

A tie is possible in LB. I think I did it one time. But things get difficult at the end when players are cashing in their trades and inadvertently jump ahead. And then time runs out before others can catch up.
I don't mind the MH. I can go at it hard or take my time with it. It's a relaxing break.

No timers to set, no random drops and I get tokens that I can trade for gold tokens while fighting that Dark Elf and that Skyhawk for seals and feathers. And for the record I wasn't interested in that green dragon all that much anyways.
I can see how others who wanted it feel left out. Sorry about that aspect.

Our Leaderboards have very high engagement, and although they may not be for everyone, for now they're one of the events we will continue to release for the large number that do enjoy them, new and old players. We will try and be more thoughtful with how we approach previews, as well as which content we're putting in which types of events.

I spent $$ on the gem package that gave the statue dropping event tokens, crafted what I could, and finished extremely happy/satisfied. Compared to a few monster hunts ago, it seemed like I was in a group where I could get the prize so I spent gems on the event statue. I didn't end up with the prize, the last few hours people must have redeemed Magic Forge tokens or purchased the final package. I was not happy after that event. So "high engagement" doesn't necessarily mean "happy with the event". And while I don't know how much the MH events affect customer spending, IMO there haven't been enough of the non-LB Monster Hunts to indicate if customer spending is increased even more compared to non-LB MH's. I've missed quite a few months since I started the summer of 2016, though... I stopped playing intermittently from event intensity burnout. So there may have been a number of non-LB MH's I missed. And also, IMO what has been successful in the past, may not be true with how the world has radically changed recently. I started the event with 70 scrolls and I've finished it with 70 scrolls. It must have been a mistake on the splash screen. It would have been nice to get something useful!

Interestingly if you're only there to craft tokens you'd inadvertently "participate" in a leader board event. I like ending an event with a few days extra to decompress from the stress of an event, especially since like many that gives me some time in between to work on main quests. However I think the leader board event is awful. Making it he end prize however is a much better solution and would allow a prize everyone (or nearly) to strive for and achieve. People will incidentally participate in a leader board event just by fighting the event monsters whether they want to participate in the leader board aspect or not.

Definitely disappointed and just bummed. Trying to craft gold tokens but not happy about this one. Plus my troll camp isn't dropping, which is a lovely bonus, lol.

That's awful. There are other places where you're allowed to go over, like whatever you get from the Baron's Tent. This definitely sounds like a mistake that should be fixed. I'm so sorry that happened. Thanks for letting the rest of us know.

Yup. Just got on to report the same thing.
Was maxed on gold Troll Tokens when I hit the 2300 individual milestone, so my prize was... zilch, nada.
The pop-up window displayed, saying I had received 10 Troll Tokens but I didn't; my inventory remained at 99.

I don't understand what you mean about it not being optional. Just because you are in a group doesn't mean that you have to actively participate. :confused:
When I was a beginning player, not only did I want the "top prize", I wanted to place very very highly to get trade tickets, etc. and placing highly was something I wanted and played hard to achieve. As I gained more experience and energy/item droppers, I didn't care so much (especially after repeatedly losing LB's. Plus there's a psychological effect to being "made" to participate against one's will. Shades of forced grade school participation in activities I would have rather not been involved in.) So being "placed" into a LB whether we want to participate or not, we affect other players. As well as suffer the indignity of being "made" to do something as an adult, that one would rather not. I am not happy with the idea that my going for Gold Tokens affects others, because I am opted into a LB I didn't want to be a part of in the first place. I would be happier if I could just collect tokens on my own, with my actions Not affecting others. This isn't a War type game, where we are expected to be battling others/need to "win" to get prizes or accomplish something. It's been more of a cooperative effort, where one NEEDS neighbors and their goodwill to accomplish goals. So having the LB type events are jarring to an otherwise harmonious game IMO.

I quit playing Dragon Story after I realized the extent that Leaderboards dominated the events. I just prefer to not be "battling/fighting" others, unless it's us Humans against the "others". I don't want to pit my wits/energy unless *I* am in the mood to do so. I dislike being forced into it very, very much. Real Life has more than enough of this, especially lately.

Oh, that?s a possibility. If anything, he could potentially drop scrolls later?!?! Then again, his Splash Screen only showed Mithril and Dragon Scales. Then people would be *really* angry if only a few people got the dragon, though, and I don?t think Storm8 would be *that* dumb.

Likely they prepared and saved up several of the special crafts, then did two hours of the 2x boosts, feeding in the crafts as able in between golums.

The reason I don't like the leader boards is I don't control my outcome. I ignore them and if I end up in the top six that is great. If I end up anywhere else that is just fine too.

I don't need the drops but I wanted the donkey from the adventure but I rarely get those to drop. I wanted a complete set of the characters. Random drops from the adventure and the troll camp take some fun out of events for me.

Thank you for the update. I wish that was better understood from the event announcement. It made it appear that it was a potential scroll dropper so I used my booster and went through thousands of saved energy. When you look in the “goals page” it’s all coins and chests and crowns…no scrolls anywhere so why would one assume we get scrolls for completing this event? I?ve worked hard to patently accumulate through buying unlimited packages each event at $5 each time to not deplete my energy in case a great prize came along.

I realize now, I should not have just have assumed that posting scrolls on the splash screen meant for the dragon, that was my mistake. I find the quick and occasional screen splashes often vague or missing information. I only received the ONE attached below…..it seems unintentionally misleading:

It takes a lot of precious energy hoarding and then using the boost. One other trick I’m not ready to reveal if you’re on my leaderboard ahahahah. But no worries, now that I found out it does NOT drop scrolls, I’m disinterested….just wanted to get to thr 10 coin prize as quickly as possible so I can craft something in the MRC. Now I will abandon the leaderboard and just try to get my energy sources back up.

I agree Monster Hunts with Leader Boards are awful. Bring back the Monster Hunts where we could play for creature tokens and win that particular creature. You probably would have more happy players spending however when you pit us against each other it creates unnecessary stress and disappointment especially when it is a highly desirable prize. I alway focus on getting tokens and completing goals while ignoring the Leaderboard. Though I think they are here to stay unfortunately. The Barons Tent/Adventures is also a source of stress and disappointment for some players. The desirable prizes some players never get.

We're sorry that this was confusing! We're going to release the scroll prize early for players, as well as increase the amount given. We're also increasing the amount of Troll Tokens players can hold, and will be getting the missed Troll Tokens out to players ASAP.

You can wait and start the craft when it's convenient. After the event ends if you want to. Only token trades disappear. All mrc crafts remain available. Congratulations on getting enough tokens!

I think it heavily depends on if you luck out in a group whether they'll participate or not, especially if they aren't high enough level to really benefit from gold token farming. I've won 2 leaderboard events ever in my many years of playing. One was for an event where no one wanted the prize (I was gold token farming), and the other was the most recent Steed of Roses and I honestly think that's because I must've been put in a lower level group. No one was really farming gold tokens. Any other actually heavily sought after prize, I've never won. I'm not even really rich compared to other level 50 accounts.

Totally true! And I’m in the “lower middle class” at best in my leaderboards for sure. This was like, a big splurge for me. I made my move too early and the other must have freaked out and jumped ahead of my 2000 lead already.

I finished the event on Sunday but have not received any academy scrolls? Did I miss something? I still have only 20 scrolls. Should I have 120 now? I'm confused...
