does anyone else have odd personal goals that they want done in their kingdom? like i am trying to do the max on all supplies thing. which is obviously going to take me a LONG time as i am still upgrading some items. but i have other odd goals.
like i have one section that i really want to expand to.
and i have plenty of energy droppers and usually am able to do all that i want/need and stay above 50k in energy (unless it is a very energy intensive event). but i hate dropping belong 50k
and i have 98,900,000 roughly in coin. for some reason i really want to go above 100 million in coin. and be able to stay above 100 million.

or am i just strange? (i mean i am strange, but do i have company)

Yes 😂 I set myself goals on expanding - i?ve done a spreadsheet and mapped out areas that need expanding, colour coded, initialed & numbered so I know what?s required to expand each section so I don?t have to remember which bit I was working on or keep opening it to see what?s needed.

Is it worth spending my runes on a rainbow alicorn? Will it give energy?

You might want to check the u-goals (https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?68847)! Those were made when there was no weekly events and storyline updates were super super rare.

Yes, the Rainbow Alicorn gives energy every day, and it is probably the main reason you want to collect Runes, unless you are using them all for boosts. The only way you can use your Gold Runes is for the Rainbow Alicorn and the Mystic Kiln to the best of my knowledge, so if you have enough gold runes to get a Rainbow Alicorn, go for it! They also occasionally drop rainbow deco items and, very rarely, a rainbow pot that you can clear with one energy to get more resources, although I don't know what it drops.

I once saw a kingdom that was entirely brown horses. Nothing is strange to me.

Hmmm, have you been lurking (https://www.portailsmm.com/cs/pics/CastleStory-UnofficialGoals-RG-34.png)somewhere

Well this is not possible anymore as we have a cap on items now. But yeah, that was another era ;)

Thank you, I?ve got it, now to save up for the kiln - that?s going to take forever to get 30 gold runes

Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to save THAT much money? I can barely reach one million before It's all gone to keep progressing xD

shortdanzr, I am strange too, so you do have some company!
A while ago when we had one of those mermaid quests or expansions, I blew through a boatload of coins because all the items cost a lot of coins. My coin amount went down so much that it alarmed me. So I devised a plan to avoid that in the future. Say I have 98,000,000 coins before I put coins into a plot to expand. In order to put any more coins into another expansion, I add 1,000,000 coins to the 98,000,000. Then I cannot put any more coins into another expansion until I have 99,000,000 coins. With some of the recently added expansions (some of which require 2,955,000 coins), I then have to collect 2, 3, or 4 million coins before I can move on. The only time I deviate from this system is if we are doing a timed quest that requires an expansion. This has worked well for me. I now have a little over 189,000,000 coins. Other players have way more than that. However, I am satisfied with this method.
I hope I have explained this clearly. Probably not!
Kudos to you for having 50k in energy, as well as to other players who have exorbitant amounts of energy. It is quite an accomplishment!

I found the kiln not worth it. It doesn?t craft things I really need & have two other places to craft everything in the kiln. If I could trade it for 3 more rainbow Alicorns, I would. I?ve got about 30 rainbow Alicorns & get a rainbow pot most days. They are great. The best things I got from them are: energy, gems, trade tickets, & expansion permits. Also get craft supplies.

The mermaid storyline was the catalyst for keeping a minimum coin amount. I generally now keep coins at 70 million, save for a bit and then apply to a new plot. When I got to 80 million I decided I liked that even better, so when those 6 or so new plots on the island were released I still kept 70 as a baseline. My board layout is predominantly coin and trade ticket droppers.

I love personal goals...especially when there's time between events to do something fun. Great thread!

i think i started castle story dec of 2017. i used to have problems with coin. but i used to have problems with energy. now i have enough energy to be able to collect as much as i want from buildings.

Maybe not goals but rules. I once missed out on an expansion sale because I didn’t have enough explorer permits to get there, so now I keep them at 20 and expansion permits at 50, before expanding. Which also means expanding takes forever, lol

I do this as well. The sales are great but only 3-5 days. Not enough time to craft the 10-30 permits needed.

Why would you keep 50k energy? Besides a type of OCD or not having anything to do which I don?t have that problem bc I took 4 years off (crazy I know) so I have tons to do but then you?d be losing all the ?free? energy. It?s interesting & I never thought of banking that much. I just try to have 99 or 999 of everything (some like fairie paste, beam or bait go way past 99.) & I always time my alicorns to where I collect 1 every 6 hours so I constantly have 1 ready

Yeah I means makes sense you have been playing for some time now! I started playing the game back in 2012 but didn't know what I was doing, since I was so young and gave up multiple times. Only now I'm fully devoted to the game and playing again so I have a lot to catch up on regarding goals and building up a sustainable Kingdom  Looking forward to having my own sets of weird personal goals when I can tho! ;)

With the advent of weekly or bi-weekly events, the meaning of the u-goals have shrunk a lot. Nevertheless I still do it for fun, I still have a few impossible ongoing, the one I am still pursuing since years is "Hell Sisters", I must be on it since 5-6 years. At the current pace, I think I will need 2-3 more years.

I too have u-goal?s, working my way up there. Only at about 80,000,000 coin and 50,300 energy. Was keeping energy above 40,000 but looking at upgrading that target. Checked the forum for lists of the best coin drops and have as many as I can in my board. Most recent non-event expansions cost 2,250,000 so now trying to grow piggy bank. As for energy I?ll have to be vigilant too. Lots of daily energy means I can tap away for ages.

I?ve been playing since 2017, and gave worked hard to have such resources. I also do most Elven trades. I have a few rainbow Ali?s but also got the mystic kiln. I find it very helpful when magic forge?s are busy in events. I can still craft clubs, horns (for royal exchange) and swords and light armour for adventures. Thinking of saving for another. MK also helps getting over item limit. I get to 98 of craft item, set all 3 forge?s for same item. Upon collection end up with total of 101. I do the same with most crafting buildings. Means reaching max takes less time especially when craft needed for events too.

For the above crafting method it?s worth the 85 gold troll tokens to get the cooking camp and the tinker camp. And for those looking for more frequent energy both the wizard school and wizard portal work great too, though they cost quite a few rarer resources to upgrade. 😏
