Can I buy gems with money from an Itunes card?

I just bought gems using Itunes card. I tried to enter itunes gift card into itunes account on computer and I could not figure out how to do this.

I am using an iphone 4.
On my iphone I went to the itunes icon. I clicked at bottom " music" . Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see " Redeem". Hit that button and you get the Redeem page where you enter the code from you itunes card.
I assume IPOD touch works the same way.
