Best spawn rate for wild roosters has been red acre trees. Other trees work, but I got too many fangbeasts and skunks. Wild goats are found from farmhouses.

Same thing for me. My inventory only showed the garden fountain. Please give us our trees, too.

Update- force closing worked. Trees appeared in inventory.

Lately I've had to force close much more often. Every time I needed to expand for the new storyline on the island, I had to force close to see the expansion plot Aand now the trees. I've rarely had that problem before last week or so.

If you check the garden shed and turn the card of the Garden Token it reads that Roosters only give tokens as a rare drop. Wild Goats and Wild Donkeys are guaranteed. Much better to fight those.

have you placed the garden shed? I didn?t get any tokens until I placed that. Wild roosters drop 1-2 tokens for 5 hits. The wild goat drops 2-3 for 8 hits.

edit add: just saw the comment above mine. Maybe I?m seeing things but I swore one of the roosters dropped 2. Only happened one time though so I could be wrong.

There's two "quests" in your kingdom log: Ivy's Magic Garden and The Key to Taming a Donkey.

(Per forum user Sevrette, the Taming the Donkey quest is optional! In Goal 9 of the Ivy's Magic Garden quest, the shed will be used to make the Spring Fawn.)
59230
At this step, the Spring Fawn becomes available in the shed, and does not take tokens to make

Spring Goat - 135 Garden Tokens, 3 Simple Glues, 15 Glimmerdust. 25 minutes.

Chopped about 12 Trees of different varieties and only got 12 Garden Tokens. Some Trees gave 2 Tokens and some Trees gave none. Collected from 9 Farmhouses. Two of the 9 spawned the Goat. Fighting each Goat yielded 3 Tokens, 6 Tokens from both. This is extremely energy intensive. Much energy is expended on fighting the Fangbeasts and Skunkupines which are spawned from Trees and Farmhouses.

I`m assuming Donkeys won`t spawn until later in the story.

Goal 5 has us collecting from Pigs. Perhaps that is where we meet the Donkeys. I collected from 10 Pigs and nothing. It does say that it is the fiercest challenge. Now out comes the herd of Pigs. Best of luck!

Based on SpiritWind0's "prizes" added on page one, the ? is likely the Spring Fawn which drops Seal of the Faun (for a permit), wisp essence, etc. The Spring Goat right before it drops Expansion Permit, wisp, wisp lantern, etc.

The event dropper pet is the Sleepy Sheep. SW added it under prizes but it costs 500 gems in the market omg! Per SW it drops "golden fleece," but player Sevrette also got Potent Fertilizer which is a build item.

Although you should be able with to craft more than 1 rooster/goat/donkey (max of 4 or 10), the crafts prematurely disappear from the garden shed when you finish crafting the donkey. I’ve also posted this in the bug thread.

Not that I really want to expend all this energy for more than one of each especially after a monster hunt but the rooster and goat may be useful crafts for others. The shimmering ore will be a problem. If my math is correct, to get the 96 we need we will have to collect from the fountain around 8 times a day, which only just leaves enough time for sleeping. I'm not sure how people who work could possibly manage it. I'll set my timer, but I've got a life outside Castle Story and unless the drop rate of the shimmering ore improves I doubt I'll be able to finish.

The Farm Feed is not a guaranteed drop from the Wild Donkey. However, the Spring Garden has a timer of 1 hour at Level 5, so it shouldn't be an issue (unless the drops are very bad).

I think Peridae faerie was the Monday door buster and I didn't think she was an energy dropper. Viola the violinist dropped 5 and 6 energy for me. Once in the morning each day I run around collecting just from daily droppers. I start with 40 energy, collect from 16 droppers, and when I should be at 24 energy from collecting, I'm usually at about 100. Once I ended up at 220. So the big thing about the dailies is slowly adding more to your realm. I think I even find them to be consistently more helpful than the weekly 40 energy droppers.

And good luck on the event! :)This will be one of the harder ones (needing more frequent activity and log in), but that usually means really nice rewards.

I decided to skip that violinist on all my accounts. 400 gems just wasn't worth it to me. I'm also pretty new - been playing regularly for about 2 months now. I lucked out and got a Glimmereg Alicorn for 125 gems around Easter. It usually drops 4 or 5 energy once a day, with occasional larger drops. If you can hold out for a sale, I say wait for one to get something like that next time.

What level are you and what other quests are you working on? Do you have trade partners exchanging Gifts with you?

This particular event is brutal (edit: I forgot it's two weeks, that's plenty of time to finish the garden and make some animals!), and I have 16 daily energy droppers (2, 4 or 6 energy each, occasional windfalls of 50 or 100), plus two weekly alicorns.

If you are able to log in every two hours to use your energy, it *might* be doable. But this is my first time with this kind of event. It isn't like the typical weekly events which I know from experience are 100% doable.

Doorbuster sales are where I got half of my daily droppers! I definitely recommend checking out the forum where someone will post the drop info.

Level 22, , one month of playing (missed the Easter event) but I've been throwing money at the game to speed progress. Just got my Tinker Camp up thanks to the last event. I'm focusing on the primary Garden event and ignoring the animal farming for now, or at least not actively farming the garden tokens. Based on postings so far, I seem to be on pace with Stymie52. It looks strange for me that after crafting useful Goat opens the craft of cute but useless and excessively token-demanding Donkey. Who would want to craft something useless if it takes you so much energy and efforts?

I don't like this event. My job doesn't leave me a chance to log in regularly every 2 hours. And if I do it irregularly I won't be able to finish the event successfully because the stupid fountain drops the ores so sparingly. Indeed stupid. S8, are you again forcing us to skip the sleep for the sake of completing the event and to land in a clinic as has happened to me before?

Also I don't like the fact that there are way too many single women in my kingdom standing, walking and flying. I want men for them, but the most of human-looking prizes has been women. This time too.

The visuals are of course magnificent. The idea of getting a Rooster to our numerous chicken is also great.

My Beast Hunt shut down on me about 18-24hrs before the hunt was over too, meaning the beasts stopped appearing... same with the lobsters, except it was only about twelve hours for them..Still very annoying. Are the Garden Bucket drops from the Sparkling Mines GUARANTEED?

Unfortunately not a guaranteed drop. In Goals 9 and 10, it is very slow going collecting 8 for Wild Feed. Goal 9 was awful needing just 1 Wild Feed. In Goal 10, you need to tame 2 more Spring Fawns so that means 16 more Garden Buckets. Grueling!

A glitch? After getting the Spring Donkey. No more Wild Goat can be spawned in the farmhouse!

I don't think it's a glitch. Once you have crafted the Donkey you have completed the "The Key To Taming a Donkey" questline, which is separate from the "Ivy's Magic Garden" event. The Magic Garden doesn't require Tokens and the Taming a Donkey has now finished. Theoretically it states that you can craft multiple donkeys but I don't think that's true considering Tokens no longer drop, unless you collect all tokens before crafting the donkey.

Anyway, I chose not to craft a donkey (at least not for now), so I can craft multiple goats.

I don't think the feed is a guaranteed drop from the wild donkeys either. Just battled the second one and didn't get any. So waiting on the garden again. As others have mentioned, very slow going for the rest of the event I guess.

This is an insanely frustrating event! At one ore per collection it’s going to take at least 12 hrs to get enough to make one shovel!! Who has time to be chained to the game to collect every 2 hrs?? And my level 3 garden has not dropped any tokens in the last several collections. Grr…

Other than buying more pigs, there isn't a quick way. I send out adventures all the time and have been able to build up a nice collection of pigs (as well as other animals and resources) over time. I even have some in storage that are piglets and would need to be raised first. I wish I could give you some of mine. No matter how many pigs we have the drop rate is poor. I do think that the black pigs might be better droppers than the others, but I don't pay that much attention.

I battled the wild donkey at least 4 times and only received feed from the first one. I think this is one of the ways S8 is having us slow down. Just having lots of energy helps, but doesn't allow us to get done faster unless we also use gems to speed up collections, etc. So we'll have to use more of the allotted days.

Hope you will be able to get the fertilizer you need.

The Garden Fountain is a source of unnecessary stress one shimmering ore 99.9% of the time. At this rate I don't if I will finish in time, my garden is level 4. I know there are 12 days left however for those of us that work and have real life commitments this is a problem. I thought about buying the value pack just to get the shimmering ore but I feel like that still will not be enough. Also I feel that this is just their way to force players to spend gems or real money. Sad because I have supported this game financially.

After the out of this world, I determined that the one special item (the fountain for this event) was a requirement for me if I want to complete the event. I found it to be the hardest roadblock.

I think the fountain is the biggest hurdle, and having experienced out of this world I bought the fountain for this event. I honestly don't think I would be able to complete it without the second fountain. But, this event is the hardest type I've seen. I'm pretty sure it's intended to be. It's hard on high levels and bruital on lower levels who haven't had time to grow some of their kingdom. In my opinion, for this specific type of event, I think it may qualify for lower levels as........not quite ready yet, go as far as you can but don't **** yourself trying to complete it. I really wish I had better advice. If you want to keep going, I do think you will need more pigs. I don't wish to dissuade anyone, but was trying to give an idea of level of difficulty for this event. I've fretted and worked on events before to an unfinished end.

Does the rooster spawn from anything else besides a tree. Somehow I maxed out on my handles, but I still need seeds that the rooster drops. I think I messed up somewhere. This just doesn't seem right. I feel that I I should have all the seeds I need so I wouldn't have so much waste of trees.

I just got an Expansion Permit from the Spring Goat :D
I'm sure it's a super rare drop, but still.. a chance for Permits and Lanterns is a good prize, I don't have many of those yet.
I'm gonna try make as many as possible while waiting on all sorts of bottlenecks.
I spent all my Gems in the last sale, so I can't buy a second Fountain. Hope I can make it without it. Patience indeed...

A BIG thank you to everyone contributing to the forum! It's a huge help :love_heart:

Confused, thanks in advance for help thinking this through.

1) is the garden shed building where we craft the needed faun DIFFERENT from the garden shed where we are crafting roosters, goats and donkeys?
2) do we NEED to craft the donkey in order to progress? I would rather craft goats.

If we can't get token from farmhouses after crafting the donkey I want to hold out as long as possible. It might be that all I do is craft goats and let the rest of this gruelling event go. I know the drop rate will be low of the expansion permit, but sometimes is better than never if I don't have them. : ) The more I think about t, the more tempting it is to opt out of the rest of it. : )

It's the same Shed, and you don't need to craft the Donkey to progress. It's a different Goal
From what I understand the bug (that you can't get more Tokens after crafting the Donkey) is fixed, but I'm also not sure I'm gonna craft the Donkey. Goat has better drops and is cheaper.

I got a storyline goal to defeat any monster so Old Thomas could draw my portrait. Apparently ?any monster ? doesn?t include the rooster we fight. Just FYI.
Also, is this cock fighting? Lol!!

Disappointed that we don?t get to craft the animals we are fighting. I prefer the ?monster? rooster to the spring rooster. It is more realistically colored. Also love the little gray goat we are battling.

I want the animals more than anything, but even with buying energy bundles I?m not getting enough goats to fight for tokens. I?ll be lucky to get a chicken, much less a goat and a donkey and a fawn. Pretty disappointed. But I guess there are 10 more days. I?ll see what happens in that time.

Have you crafted the spring goat? Donkey craft only unlocks after you have crafted the goat (which in turn was unlocked by crafting rooster). All crafts were locked for me after crafting 1 donkey but S8 has fixed the bug recently so now all crafts (rooster, goat donkey as well as fawn when you reach this goal) are open provided you have not reached the max of 10, 10, 4 and 3 respectively.

But it's an egg-laying Rooster

But remember to check your inventory too. If you send out your knights on adventures regularly, they sometimes bring back pigs as a prize. I usually dump them in the inventory, so I was pleasantly surprised to find ten Albino Pigs and nine Royal Pigs (actually piglets) waiting to be brought out from my store.

A replay of goal 10 from Stymie and Sevrette, with questions

NOTES

The Farm Feed is not a guaranteed drop from the Wild Donkey. However, the Spring Garden has a timer of 1 hour at Level 5, so it shouldn't be an issue (unless the drops are very bad).

Edit:
First Spring Garden collection's Wild Donkey dropped Farm Feed
Second-no Farm Feed
Third-no Farm Feed
Fourth-no Farm Feed
Fifth-finally a Farm Feed

Goal 10
Place the Garden Shed (counts if you placed for Donkey Quest)
Tame a Spring Fawn 0/3
Upgrade the Spring Garden to Level 6

Tame a Spring Fawn (Garden Shed) 4 hours
Wild Feeds 0/1
Light Armor 0/1
Longswords 0/1

Upgrade the Spring Garden to Level 6
Garden Shovel 0/4
Potted Plant 0/6
Garden Gloves 0/4

For "low" levels, requirements for level 6 garden are 3,4,3

So we are actually making 3 Spring Fawns by doing this 3 times? Or is it 3x to get one Spring Fawn?

*Defeat a Wild Donkey (Visit the Spring Garden!) 0/1
*Gather Donkey Drool (Defeat Wild Donkeys!) 0/14
*Make a Calming Potion (Craft this in the Workshop!) 0/1
Rewards: +5,000 coins, +20 xp, +50 Crowns

Workshop
Calming Potion - Used to upgrade the Spring Garden
18 Magical Blooms, 14 Donkey Drool, 2 hours (this info is for low level, players 46+ may need more?)

Goal 12
*Make Garden Shovels (x for low level)
*Make Potted Plants (Craft this in the Workshop!) (0/5 for low level)
*Make Garden Gloves (Craft this in the Magic Forge!) (0/4 for low level)
*Make Calming Potions (Craft this in the Workshop!) (0/4 for low level)
*Upgrade the Spring Garden to Lv. 7 (Use your upgrade supplies!) 0/1
Rewards: +10,000 coins, +50 xp, +1 Gardener

For anything level related, I am level 23. The only thing that has been locked to me by level that I've had no choice but to buy w/gems are the Light Armor used to make the fawns, I think that unlocks at level 25?

For the shed, I have not farmed for tokens at all and have gotten enough to Unlock the chicken and goat, but the donkey and "?" remain still. Presumably there is another unlock after the main quest line completes? I'm on the final step (I think?) and have seen no indication so far.

When it comes time to farm donkeys remember the Garden is a guaranteed spawn

The low level/high level thing is an event format where people under level 46 have "easier" requirements. When a high level player (46+) might need 6 of xx, 8 of xy, and 5 of xz to upgrade an event building, a lower level player will only need 4, 5 and 3 of the same things. I'm not expressing it very clearly, lol. but you will see it in event guides whenever a lower level player such as yourself reports it in the forum. It's super helpful to others in the same boat!!

And all of your posts for this event have been super helpful!!

Making three separate Spring Fawns. I have not seen a need for the buckets again between here and completing the Garden to level 7

Thank goodness! I am waiting for my last Garden Bucket. I feel like I have been collecting buckets forever.

I'm just making my second fawn. I'm finding this really hard going with the low drop rate from the sparkling mines.
Even though I have two fountains, I'm still waiting on them for the ore.
I just keep telling myself there's still lots of time.

Actually it's lucky I read page one again, I didn't realise I need to be picking up from my first fawn.

But it's an egg-laying Rooster

:D :D :D
LOL!

I am hoping the donkey will spawn golems for MH. I think he's cute. I like having various graphics so I can have fewer blocks of the same critter all in a spot. I wish chickens could have different skins like black ostralorp, road island red, buff/lavender Orpington, etc. We could even maybe have a building for animal skins like the builder's guild for building skins (wish we had more skins for buildings too).

So far I just have the chicken, half way to the goat, and not made my first feed yet. I think I'm ok on time.

All of the angry combat animals are very nice graphics. I request they all be available in the Baron's tent and/or for sale! I'd love for them to be purchasable even with coin. The really are well done.:)

It may be me, but I think I'm having better spawns from my 3 gingerbread farmhouses than the traditional farmhouses. The mushroom and overgrown farmhouses are in rotation and have each spawned one. If you have gingerbread farmhouses in storage you may want to give it a try.:)

Okay this game is awful when it come to resets I had just logged into the game I tapped the Ivy?s Garden spawned the Donkey and it dropped Garden Feed. Then all of a sudden the game resets I fight the Donkey again and no Garden Feed drops. I know the Garden only has a one hour timer however still annoying.

Wait, let me get this straight. We need to make 6 calming potions and each calming potion takes 14 donkey drools???

Is the donkey drool a guaranteed drop from the donkey (unlike the farm feed). Please, please tell me it’s guaranteed and it’s more than 1 drop per donkey spawned.

The Donkey Drool is the final hurdle. They add up very slowly and 6 calming potions are a considerable amount. This will take days to finish. Plod on, slow and steady!

My last two collections from the Spring Fawn spawned the Wild Donkey 3 out of the 6 times. An earlier collection spawned the Donkey from 1 of the 3 Spring Fawns. So it is very random, not a glitch. No multiple drops either.

Yes, I have 5 pigs and I?m lucky to get one fertilizer a day
Any tips?
After doing a few events where I got nowhere near finishing, I stopped doing events for a few months and got 2 of each sawmill, etc and a good dozen & 1/2 of the animals, plus built up some coin reserve. I built a dozen farmhouses, and 4 cottages. There were a couple of events during that time I really really wanted the final prize, and I spent real $ on packs and gems to finish. Otherwise you spend time & resources only getting to level 3. Just because you are a high enough level to start an event, you may not have enough to easily finish. For example, this event, I have at least 2 dozen or so pigs.

These rollbacks are ****ers. I had one with my sparkling mines earlier (I'm still collecting buckets, so was annoyed when the rollback had none after seeing two from the original collection). Then just now I had a rollback and didn't realise I'd rolled back to having a wild goat still to finish fighting. I couldn't understand why my spring garden didn't spawn anything. The worst thing is - everything else rolls back but they still take your energy!
I hope this is fixed for the next event. I'm feeling pretty *****ed right now.

I battled the same donkey 3x and of course only got credit for when I finally defeated him and it didn?t roll back. I also had a 10 minute infinite energy, and after that ends you?re supposed to get max energy. It showed I had energy and then it did *something* - not sure it was a rollback, but some kind of reset, and I was at 0 energy.

On another note, when I was new and visiting other kingdoms, I had seen the sheep jumping over the sleeping sheep in several kingdoms and wanted one so badly. Now I have one, and I?m like, ?Please make it stop!? Lol! Watching it annoys me for some reason.

Collecting the Donkey Drool is brutal and hardcore. Logging in every 60 minutes to battle a Donkey. With the Fawns spawning a Donkey maybe only 20% of the time, not helping a lot at this point. Only one drool per Donkey, so many days are needed at this brutal pace. This phase is really testing the limits of what I am able and willing to do for this game. Why is S8 making this so stressful and unpleasant?

The Garden only drops 1 token, 1xp, and spawns a donkey even after completion w/an 8hr collection timer right now. I've collected 3 times now with the same results. It's either a error, or not "turned on" to spawn tickets and rewards until after/later in the event? And the fountains become worthless dropping 1xp & 1 water

I bought the 2nd fountain, the sheep (regret, didn't need), spent about 150-200 gems in total - 30 making armor for the fawns from being too low level, about 50 from rushing the garden for 2 gems to spawn another donkey, and the rest rushing various things. I also bought the $5 10 minute infinite energy 3 times to grind most of those donkeys

I'm fine with that gem cost for the armor, as the fawns are absolutely worth it. At my level 700 coins each that frequently is really good even before their drops. The rewards are fantastic for me and I'm happy with it all. I won't spend this much in the future, but there was the bonus fun of posting first results

This particular event is brutal (edit: I forgot it's two weeks, that's plenty of time to finish the garden and make some animals!), and I have 16 daily energy droppers (2, 4 or 6 energy each, occasional windfalls of 50 or 100), plus two weekly alicorns.

I know this is kind of off topic but can I ask how you got your alicorns? I see so many neighbors that have tons of alicorns so I was really hopeful that you could craft them in the MRC but when I finally got the MRC I have no option to craft alicorns except for the glimmer alicorns and the armored alicorn!!! I have 2 regular alicorns that I won from the daily videos when I first started playing but now I can never seem to win them in the daily videos and can?t craft them in the MRC so how do you get them?? I find it hard to believe that people are spending that much real money to have 30+ alicorns in their kingdom, is there something I?m missing?

My understanding is that the spring fawn unlocks when you get to the appropriate level whether or not you?ve crafted any of the other animals in the garden shed.

See post #141 by RonjaR82.

I can confirm this. I haven?t crafted any of the 3 animals in the garden shed yet but I was able to craft the spring faun!! Really not loving this event as I am still unable to finish collecting/crafting everything needed to upgrade my spring garden to level 6 despite playing frequently throughout the day. Farmhouses are rarely spawning the goats and trees are spawning the roosters even less. The time it?s taking me to grow trees just to try to get the roosters is insane as I get approximately 1 rooster for every 3 or 4 red acre trees. Really regretting even starting this event, almost certain I won?t be able to finish and have just wasted so much time, energy & money for nothing!!

I bought the first package with materials and unlimited energy a few times + bought the current package 1 time + bought the sleeping sheep on all but one account, and I still think it is going to be difficult to finish. okay several topics here.
first: I get a monster, usually a rooster, every 3-6 chops on an ASH tree. (Ash is 6 chops total.) I was chopping them for a different quest, and reading the clone event topic revealed that other trees worked. As long as Storm8 doesn't change it after reading this post, maybe you guys can get past it. The red acer trees were apparently a red herring. Which is viciously cruel.

Second I was wrong about my fawn time - mine match yours, it's the goats that are 8 hours. So I'm accumulating Magical blooms from them even though I'm not past to the next build.

Thirdly - I bought my daily small-drop alicorns (aquamarine and aquatic, they drop 4 most days with occasional windfalls of 50 or 100) during doorbusters for half price: 125 gems vs 250. They are a better drop value than the weekly 40 drop alicorns which cost 600 full price, 300 on Black Friday and Christmas sales.

Lastly, the vast white alicorn armies are/were likely made by the lucky few who were in the Love Shack event in 2013 or so. Pieces of alicorn dropped from adventures and you could craft them. That building is never coming back, lol. The drops have been virtually extinguished. I suppose some people might have bought that many alicorns with cash, or won from videos (which android doesn't get, grr, lol) or the early days of the Baron or from hoarding enough gems from drops in the game to buy them. They are playing a different game than we are - we just have to let it go. Keep in mind the game is more boring when you have more energy; deciding what to prioritize is actually part of the excitement. After I filled out my tiny troop at the sales, I ended up leaving the game for two years, lol.

Sorry this post is so long, I meant to do them separately but here we are.

ASH TREES. Best of luck.

I'm on goal 10, gathering Garden Buckets for my third fawn. Is there any reason to delay upgrading my garden to Level 6? (I am continuing to make the shovels, plants, and gloves for the Level 7 upgrade.)

Re the white alicorns, I did get the Love Shack in 2013 and maybe half of my dozen white alicorns came from there over the years. Honestly, you get maybe between 1 and 3 a year that way, certainly not dozens. I really can't remember for sure where the others came from - some from videos, some from sale purchases, etc. But most likely vast herds came from real money gem purchases - I am grateful to those who do spend $$ on this game and allow the rest of us to enjoy it. I certainly don't begrudge their investment!

I keep wondering this exact same thing. Some people have been playing for many years, so they have had more opportunities to obtain Alicorns, but I really don't know how many people have so many.

So this will sound bad but I've been playing a while and I have probably two dozen alicorns and a dozen other energy droppers in storage because it was too much and It made the game too easy and lost the challenge. A lot I bought but A LOT-probably 6 weekly and at least 30 dailies I won in the tent after I got the cabbage hut. Get the cabbage hut and start saving your cabbages for the time when they release them or other energy droppers in the tent. I save my cabbages and currently have 140 for next time. Also I bought 12 flower alicorns over a Fourth of July sale for 125 or 150 gems each. I also bought like 12 white alicorns when they went on sale for 300 gems-might have been the spring 2020 sale and a Black Friday sale.

But in my old account I had a love shack (which will never come back) and you could win alicorn parts on adventures and craft them - the people with super hordes probably have a love shack or have spent money. Over my years of playing I've spent $600-700...maybe more? It brings me hours of entertainment and the developers deserve to get paid. So I might spend $10-$20 some months and then on big sale months like Black Friday or spring sale maybe $100 I'd get apple gift cards for my bday and use them or buy $6.99 gem package every couple of weeks and save them up and then before a big sale buy the big sale package.

With your coins get the cabbage hut first, the the unicorns (energy and troll coin and spellbound dew) and then the alicorns. Unless you are desperate for energy then get alicorns and then unicorns because the alicorns are cheaper.

Shouldn't it be 4 calming potions for higher levels, and less for lower levels? Six seems very very high. If not, then please make the donkey spawn from the fawns a guaranteed thing. Please S8, the number of donkey drools needed is beyond most of our capabilities.

Thanks, K♡

Are the drops for the Spring Goat & Spring Donkey accurate in the 2nd post in this thread?

Post 2 says that the Spring Goat drops the expansion permits and not the Spring Donkey. This seams backwards since the Goat cost less garden tokens and could be crafted before the Donkey. It seams like they would have the last animal crafted (the Donkey) with the most garden tokens should have the best drops and not the other way around?

Snip... This list is from S8 and the spring donkey drops are the same as the Donkey which is a game item already. Perhaps the crafting order is more the unique factor rather than drops.

Thanks for replying. I'm only going to have enough garden tokens for one extra animal crafted in the Garden Shed, so I was trying to figure out who I should try for. Interestingly enough the max amount of animals from the Garden Shed seams weird too, max of 10 goats but only max 4 donkey's. It makes me think that S8 made a mistake. Hopefully S8 won't change it or if they do, they will tell us before we get towards the end of the event. Thanks again.

I can confirm the spring goat drops expansion permits. This is, of course, very rare. I've got it once, and silky fur is the common drop.

Y?all have probably figured this out already, lol, but if the donkey drool drops get tight, use one gem every half hour after the garden naturally spawns. So you get 2 drools per hour for 1 gem each.

Good advice. It just hurts to hear it today because I lost 50 gems to a gem trap this morning and am down to 4 gems.

People's comments about the donkey makes me wonder if I should get at least one. Storm8 can be sneaky and change drop items and collection times without warning

It seems that the Spring Goat’s drops are similar to that of the Party Goat.

those gem traps are the one thing that?s wrong with this game. I lost 34 the other day, so I feel your pain! Hug!

I have wondered if S8 created a premium option (monthly subscription) which didn’t have gem traps, how many people would sign up.

Or, please up the number of drops of the donkey drool per donkey.

What?s a gem trap?

What?s a gem trap?

When you spent Gems without meaning to.
If you tap on things that are not ready to collect yet, you see the Gem cost to speed it up. One more tab and you pay that cost. (there is no confirmation, no 'are you sure you want to spent 50 Gems speeding up this building?')
It feels truly awful to see your Gems be taken away for something you didn't want/ need. :( (and also in my opinion, the biggest flaw of this game)

I hate gem traps too. But, if I were a person in a hurry, and wanted to spend the gems, the last thing I'd want is to have to answer "are you sure?" every time. Someone who is choosing to spend deserves convenience.

It would in theory be nice to have an option to "lock" gem spending, like we can do on google play to keep from accidentally buying something. But adding code to a game is always hard and can have unintended consequences. Look at the various goofs that sometimes crop up at an event: and that's likely plug and play, not changing actual code. (Current google play version of CS was released in 2019.)

Back to gem traps. Before I buy gems, I plan out what I'm going to buy, and buy them all immediately. OTOH, if I get "free" gems in the game, like from adventures or dragons, I figure S8 is entitled to get them back since I didn't spend RL cash. ;-)

Not long ago I released a topic in S8 called "about changing spending of gems in Castle story" but there was no reaction from the CS players. Complete silence lol. Apparently for this reason, this really pressing issue is not taken seriously by the S8, sorry...

People have complained about this for years and years, and it made no difference. S8 knows how we feel about it.
I try to ignore it, because it only makes me angry, and I don't want to feel angry when playing my favorite game & hanging out here with you all :love_heart:

I was spawning extra donkeys from the fawns quite regularly until I needed the donkey drool. Now they hardly spawn at all. I really don’t get why they make it so hard to finish. I’ve already spent gems and I don’t want to use what I have left to speed up the garden.

I understand you very well, but I think it is a mistake to ignore such a problem just so we don't get angry. I think we CS players need to work hard to make the S8 stop this kind of robbery. There are many ways, but obviously our protest about this case is not strong enough.

Just found out the spring goat drops permit!!!! Should've read the forum. Wow I wasted all those days not getting more tokens. And I just made a second rooster with my extra tokens!!! T T

I'm on a mission to craft all 10 goats. Will someone tell me if I'll still get monster to spawn after I complete the event? I'm just waiting for a few more drools then I'll finish but I'd hold it if I can't get monsters post-event. Thanks.

The deer also spawn donkey's not always but they do spawn them.

Their spawning rate has been relatively consistent for me, so much so that I only need to craft two more calming potions and another two gloves, and I’ll be done with this event by today; if nothing goes wrong, that is.

BTW, I love the design for the Spring Donkey, but I wish she had better drops.
