Dragons stopped dropping gems

My 60 dragons stopped dropping gems with only one exception with 1 gem (not the regular 2) .... two days ago......
Can someone from the staff of S8 inform us what is happening???.....

Yes we understand gems are rare items.
The issue is the rare drops on the dragons have been changed/eliminated.
With zero notice or information.
Who knows what else has been changed without our knowledge.

Please change back Storm8.

The dragons always use to give 2 gems and now rarely (very very very rarely....) drop 1 gem....

Yes, that is the issue - they used to drop 2 (two) not 1 (one) at a time, and they suddenly stopped dropping altogether, going from rare to mythical. Or to use a different metaphor, from rare to mooing, which is ironically inedible. : )

Since the storm8 reply so far is basically describing how it WAS, I am hoping (please please please) they fix some accidental code and make how it was how it is.

Since seeing a reference on this issue, I’ve been watching carefully on my main account. I have over 40 dragons, most days at least one would drop gems, in a week I haven’t seen any. I spent a lot of resources and some money on all these dragons, and I waste 40+ energy collecting everyday on the chance they will trickle a few gems. This also appears to include the two steeds that occasionally drop gems.
You can’t change the goal posts S8 !!!!

I have about 50 dragons and I used to get at least one gem a day from them. It's been weeks and weeks since I last had any. I thought it was only me until I saw this thread.

I'm having the same problem. An unmistakable change in Dragons Gem drops.

If this change isn't deliberate, please please please change it back to the way it was.
If it is deliberate,.... :( why? Can you just change something like that from one day to the next without even mentioning it? :confused: Isn't good for the trust in the game and purchases, if things can just be changed like this.

Please let us know one way or the other..

I think what S8 is saying (and I will say this more politely to be within forum guidelines):

"We do understand your request and complaints regards this issue. And we aren't going to change it because we want mature players with loads of resources to buy gems with cash rather than have gem sources in their realms. While we are at it, we will reduce the rate of gem drops from adventures too."

I could be wrong. Happens every day! : ) But, despite immense clarity on our side and a wild goose chase to support as per their suggestion, we have only had blandishments from the team. : (

I am putting my dragons away now until I read on the forum here that the gem chances have reverted.

Given up that the issue would be fixed, so I've put most of my dragons away.

Basically I bought something under false pretence. It was a lot of effort and energy to craft glimmer dragons. Lots of rotten cabbages to get different dragons from the tent - and now they are useless! If S8 didn't want players to accumulate a dragon army for the rare gem drop, why do they let us craft 99 glimmer dragons? Nobody is going to craft all those dragons for dragon scales and coal drops...

My 200 dragons used to give me 2-8 gems a day. Sometimes more, rarely none. Each time I get gem drop it's always 2 gems. Recently I'd get 0 gem for a whole week. If I only get gem drop it is but only 1 gem. With my large sample I'm 100% sure that the dragons are not like before.

One of my Armored Black Bear just gave me one (1) gem.....not two (2)...... so I suppose that the re-adjustment is in all gem dropping creatures......
I think that the S8 team have to inform us for the changes they made and re-adjust the invertory...

The gem drop rate from dragons is ridiculous. I can say that for me it's less than 0.1%. That's 1 out of 1000 collections. That's worse than any rare drop rates of any kinds seen to date. My prized dragons collection is now obsolete. I'm quitting this game if they don't adjust the rate to something more reasonable. It's not an empty threat.

I'm so happy, two of my dragons dropped gems today, and each dropped 2 gems for a total of 4 gems.

Dragons are definitely back.

If you collect every day you're likely to get 1-2 gems maybe once a week, or at least once a fortnight. I had 2 dragons drop gems this week and I have around 12 or so of all different types on my board.
