Mama Bear don' need no man, lol. It's completely off topic but the complaint that she is identified by apron (being a person who makes meals, like anyone does for their family) sharply contrasts with the expectation that she and her child can only exist with a male present. >.> :o:love_heart:

I think Mama Bear likes to cook and doesn't do so because she is being forced to by the patriarchy.

Now that I see that Mama Bear is the proprietor of her own business, the apron seems entirely appropriate and I withdraw my comment. It seems like she is doing just fine on her own.

For newer players, chopping the stump regularly spawns skunkupines that drop item needed for crafting the beds. Ivy's drops the item needed for making the chair. And each new level we need more of these to upgrade the den. :)

Got a feeling it?s gonna be like the bagpipe gnome. Haven?t seen a feast yet and I have 6 on one account

Look at description for bagpipe gnome and it only listed Simple Feast. Singular. Hmm. Might have to waste some energy to get a few of those. Since this one says feasts. But S8 will change that last minute. Just like my 8 Greek Vases are DECORATIONS/

I do appreciate this type of event where we can work at our own pace and benefit from the awesome packages. Storm8 never used to have Ivy drops in the packages SUPER happy they changed that. Completely removes the Ivy stress and gives an amazing leg up. I always appreciate the energy packages even though I have a herd of Alicorns I rarely use them. LOL I save them for when I REALLY want something and there isn't an energy pack. I know it's strange but I only collect from some of the daily ones also

Chopping stumps... (insert Charlie Brown trick-or-treating) I got a fangbeast :(

My first few minutes of playing today I couldn?t get anything done because I got Fangbeasts for pretty much every 3 or 4 chops I took on my clawed stumps. I can use the materials they give, but it became very annoying if nothing else. Then I couldn?t get Skunkupines at all when I needed them. Resorted to buying traps. 😕 I?m still working on summoning my first Skunkupea, so this event should really help with that.

if you don't mind an excess of flowers, collect from those and you will never get a fangie from flowers; only skunkupines. they are not common though, so it will chew through a fair bit of energy.

I don't have the goals yet, so I'll provide them when they are available, but good news is that the event format is straightforward and known. And good news about the scroll rewards as well.

I'm getting the skunk pine from the Rocket Larkspur about one in twelve. You need to pick them anyway.
And yes the rate from the clawed stumps is about fifty fifty, skunkupines to fang beasts.

Turn your music on, to check if there is a monster hiding somewhere.
If not, try your farmhouses, to see if that gets you a monster, at least.

Have you checked the Magic Forge?
Can you press on something to take you to the place to craft it? (sometimes goals have a button with 'craft' or something like that, and it will take you to the appropriate place)

Otherwise you can check this thread with info on Main Story Goals : https://forums.storm8.com/showthread.php?94062-Castle-Story-New-Main-Story-Goal-Guide
Good luck!

Can someone remind me if there is a way to get more fairie chests in one day besides the Atrium Antics goals in the book?

We can do the three daily tasks for the chests each day. Doing this, and skipping the first item in the atrium, I always have enough to buy all three new items. And they do sell the chests in the market, but steadily doing this should get you to all three rewards.

If I am thinking of the same task, Baron's birthday, you end up making 5 gold bars in the magic forge. The reward is decoration only, a golden obelisk, and costs 500,000 coins to finish. I have one if you want to see it but if you aren't set well for coin, you may want to work on it slowly. This is a longer term task in my opinion. The Hub section of the forum has all of the tasks listed, and a picture inventory too, which might help.

Turn your music on, to check if there is a monster hiding somewhere.
If not, try your farmhouses, to see if that gets you a monster, at least.

My game hasn't played the music for well over a year (and it's not because I've got it turned off in settings!)

if you don't mind an excess of flowers, collect from those and you will never get a fangie from flowers; only skunkupines. they are not common though, so it will chew through a fair bit of energy.

I don't have the goals yet, so I'll provide them when they are available, but good news is that the event format is straightforward and known. And good news about the scroll rewards as well.

Any chance you could ask storm8 about the fangbeasts? maybe it's on purpose, but if not it would be nice for them to go away. Ivy is going to be our planned bottleneck regardless (I don't resent that, it's okay) so removing the fangbeasts would make this far more pleasant. I've enjoyed the last two events and it would be nice to go on that way.

Yes the number of scrolls is very tiny l thought I needed less scrolls but I need 8 more for Kelsie. I'm on chapter 6 where I get 3 so if we get five more I should be good

I only needed 10 more. Being that close for months was really frustrating. I now have what I need for Kelcie and Idris, but am waiting for a good place the unlimited energy after getting Chase.

Based on past events, I am expecting about 50 scrolls total for this event.

Yeah! The spawn rate of the Fangbeasts seems unusually high in this event. I seem to be fighting two of them for every Skunkupine I put down.

Are you playing on an iPad? I had the same problem a while back. I did not have music turned on, tried to change all settings, etc. Nothing worked. I gave up at that time but later on when pulling down the adjustment screen from the upper right corner (home button on right) I saw the red crossed off bell. Clicked it on and can now hear the music when I want. It is easier than scrolling all over my pretty large realm to check for a monster. Otherwise I keep it off, I find it annoying.

When you defeat a Fangbeast you will only lose 1 energy or it will be energy neutral or you'll come out with +1 more than when you started. Skunks are the same. That's been my observation at least... agree they're not a necessary spawn for this event but will help players in main story where they need them. :)

I always appreciate the energy packages even though I have a herd of Alicorns I rarely use them. LOL I save them for when I REALLY want something and there isn't an energy pack. I know it's strange but I only collect from some of the daily ones also

You know that energy stacks up right? Like, if you collect from all your Alcorns every day, that energy will build up if you do not use it. You should never "save" an Alicorn; collect from it every day and save the energy instead by storing it up.

I second that motion. I've often skipped events in the past that I didn't like, yet I'll always collect from my dailies, every day,and my weekly sources when they're available. By not playing events, and 'saving' energy,I've managed to accumulate a very nice amount of energy. So much so,that I'll never have to worry about running out of energy. I find I can go as hard as I want during events, then save up again in between finishing one,and starting the next. And,if I don't like an event's prizes,or a leaderboard, it's one or two weeks of collecting energy. You'd be amazed how quickly it builds up. Oh,and imo, daily Ali's are a much better investment during sales, than weeklies. Collecting daily, whilst most might only drop 2-4 energy, the occasional 20,50,100 drops more than make up for the 40 energy once a week from a weekly ali.

I agree about the lackluster adventure. I might have received 1 downy feather from adventure (my hatcheries are only giving 50% or less overall - sometimes none and sometimes 2 total). I did receive a few pillows, but no baby bear. I think it's either/or. You can get the special rare prize, which I rarely do or a few more of the harder to get resources.

You won't be getting the free energy refills tho.
But as posted earlier, a player can really build a large bank of energy.

Oh my, I have been investing in daily alicorns like a crazy person every single chance I get. On a daily basis from all of my daily droppers I get upwards of 600+ energy. I also have quite a few weekly that are set to collect on Wednesdays so I’m fully stocked for any event that starts (mine always start at 1pm on a Thursday). I’m a nerd and like to collect from every single thing in my kingdom whenever the indicators pop up because I’m one of those people who gets anxiety when a “notification badge” is present. Can’t stand them, don’t want to see them. My kingdom requires at least 1000 energy a day to maintain (if I clear it twice a day). Even with that, my daily and weekly energy droppers have allowed me to build a base energy of 2000 (this is my new ‘zero’ energy line that I try not to dip below) so I have plenty to work with during events and maintain my kingdom.

Always, always collect from your energy droppers! :-)

I have to travel soon and will not get to play regularly, so this time I bought the package twice. That gave me 10 pillows which helped a lot. I just have a a couple more beds and chairs before I'm at level 6. I would normally love getting a couple of the resources from Ivy's Hut in the adventure, but this time I could have used some down feathers since my hatcheries are being stingy. For me I meant lackluster, because after continually sending out adventures, I was mostly getting just the easiest three resources to acquire. In previous events, the adventures seemed to give more special resources (although rarely the special, rare item for me).

I am enjoying this event. Wish I could get the baby cub, but not sure I'll keep sending out adventures when i don't need anything else from them. Seems like a waste of energy.

I don't understand the rationale with the adventures I feel after a certain amount of tries the rare prize should drop. In previous adventures I have sent upwards of over thirty and not get it or the one specific item needed from Ivy or Troll Camp. It feels like all we are doing is wasting resources so I don't try anymore I rather keep my sanity.

I agree, although I don't want to have to send out nearly that many adventures to get the special prize. I usually slow down after I have all the resources I need, but will usually send out a few more to see if I can get that special item. Just wish they would increase the drop rate for it. In the past some people got more than 1 which really isn't fair. Maybe they've fixed that. I don't like it when you can't earn it, but it's left to chance (and S8's random generator formula).

If I purchase the free energy package, does the stored energy not disappear after the timer ends? Or does it reset to 40 again?

S8 only programs the rare drop for only a few players, almost like casinos programs slot machines for predetermined payouts. It?s never random. S8 does a poor job at this. I?ve visited kingdoms that must have hit rare drops every event adventures. I saw 2 kingdoms that had hit double rare drops in one event. If you don?t get the drop after a dozen trips then it is not worth going anymore. S8 banks on players wasting energy. I can almost bet that the next event will be a Monster hunt!

Spending all you energy is the best thing you can do in your case.
I think you should only think about saving energy if you have so much of it you don't know what to do with it any more.
The free energy you get every 2 hours is HUGE. That's a weekly Alicorn worth of enegry, given to you for free every 2 hours.
Don't hurry getting rid of such a wonderful gift.
Use the energy, make the most of it, try to complete as many events as you can and collect as many prizes as you can. (even prizes you think you don't need, everything can come in use)
Try to save some Gems over time and maybe spent them on an Alicorn in sale.
Save Golden Troll Tokens for a Cabbage hut so you can win some prizes (enegry droppers if you're lucky and patient) now and then.
Enjoy the journey :love_heart:

Pretty much do everything opposite of what you are doing now...except for going on adventures. Skipping an event well help also. Unless the event has a guaranteed energy dropper.. Saving energy will help you during Monster Hunts.. the MRC is your key to maxing as much energy as possible. You will have to compromise at times to get to your ultimate goal... large amounts of energy. Waiting 2 hours imho is a waste of a theory. What if like real life shows up and you cant blast through 40,energy every 2. Trying to win a leaderboard waiting 2 hour refresh is impossible or at least so brain numbing that would cause cerebellum to attack the rest of the brain.

I have a couple of accounts that i made sure to try and get some energy droppers through Cabbage Hut and was very lucky i guess. Lvl20 with around 1400 energy. So imtake advantage of,the lower level req and have enough to destroy anyone in a leaderboard event.. since belive it or not a lot of 20 lvl and under do not have Magic Forges.

Just food for thought

RoyalBlue305, I agree with RonjaR82. Having so few energy droppers early on, it's important to make use of the 40 energy every two hours, even if you don't log in that often. You haven't accumulated enough energy droppers to begin overstocking energy yet.

If you don't have a cabbage hut, you should definitely work on getting one. Sometimes there are great energy droppers that can be won in the Baron's tent. Not this round, but they do show up.:)

I generally don't stop doing events because I like the rewards. I did bypass Hercules as I wasn't fond of it and worked on a few other things in real life.

Agreed! Lackluster to get the cub? He?s what I want most of all, and he?s what I have the least control over getting. It?s about luck. If I *have* to, I can buy extra fairies to get Mama Bear, and I could use gems to get Goldilocks, but Baby Bear is just luck. As a newer player, I don?t have many Golden Eggs, and I?m finding it extremely rare to find wooden spoons, so I can?t go on many adventures (unless, of course, I want to spend tons of gems, which I don?t without being guaranteed to get the baby).

Regarding the cabbage hut, collecting 25 cabbages using 25 energy (4 times) allowed me to get (4) mint chip alicorns that drop 40 energy each, essentially paying for themselves. I have purchased some other items that give good resources too. I view the MRC as a long term game within the game, even more so than the cabbage hut. I found it frustrating to gather enough gold tokens to make much headway on it but it does have some very good items. I'm still slowly working on it and have four unicorns and a wizard's portal. I do think this just might be a difference in play styles. Sharing more strategies for play is a good thing. :)

I have been a little behind on this event so I bought two of the boost packs. With 30 minutes of free energy I only managed to get 25 spoons for the adventure. I did also chop 36 chops on trees, but all the rest was on clawed stumps. Typically, the spoon item in this event type requires a lot of gather for a little resource. It's intended to be rare ( bit too rare to my thinking). Most times I don't set my heart on it and just send out what I can.

If you have more than 40 energy you won't get any free energy so you are losing free energy if you leave that much energy on the table.

<snip> I'm always using ALL my energy lives each day. How to do you stock up and save?

RoyalBlue305, I agree with RonjaR82. Having so few energy droppers early on, it's important to make use of the 40 energy every two hours, even if you don't log in that often. You haven't accumulated enough energy droppers to begin overstocking energy yet.

Bottom line, the way to "store" energy from a large herd of alicorns is to collect and not play, lol. It makes sense for people who know they can't play for a few weeks, and have a massive herd. But I only have 2 MRC unicorns (40/week), 7 gem-bought medium droppers (4-6/day plus windfalls) and 6 event small droppers (2-4/day, lol.)

If I'm playing, I'm gonna find a use for every bit of it. I try to keep trades going continuously in the Royal Exchange to accumulate trade tickets, even if they cost a lot of energy. So as a last resort I'll be out there harvesting from past event droppers that I normally can't afford to click (I have like 8 that give 2000+ coins every time, plus some storyline items that drop good cash when I'm full of whatever they're giving.)

So I'm going get that 40 refill every two hours. Even if I'm not there every two hours, it's 40 more that I didn't have. And if I'm not playing, I'm not logging in to collect energy to "save" up, because I'd just end up playing, lol. :-)

I'm still slowly working on it and have four unicorns and a wizards I do think this just might be a difference in play styles.

I have gathered a lot of daily and weekly energy droppers + guaranteed trade ticket droppers + cute things I just wanted to have from the Baron's Tent.
And all it costs is the initial investment of Gems and Golden Troll Tokens, 2 energy a day (to collect the Cabbages), time, patience and a bit of luck sometimes.
I think it's an excellent investment for any Realm :love_heart:

If it makes you feel any better, the watering cans make me nuts too. :p I wish there was a feature available in edit mode to deselect some of the showing icons. But I'm coming to realize that some decor is pretty enough for me to try to ignore the floating icons and be somewhat selective on collecting items I need most. If it makes me crazy enough I've been known to go into edit mode and just move a few items around, or visit a neighbor. :D I don't think I will ever have enough energy to clear all of the icons.

Wow ok. All that is very interesting. Thank you for your take on things. I?ve been at level 50 for quite some time, as I started playing the game day one but then eventually stopped playing for years for various reasons. I was never able to amass energy. Plus there was no MRC or Cabbage Hut back then. So anyway I?m back on now and I?ve been trying to play catch up through all these back stories, while participating in the events. I guess maybe taking a respite from the events and even the stories to gain energy might be a good strategy. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I wasn?t too sure what the rotten cabbage thing was, but I was growing cabbages thinking it was for the Barons Tent but apparently not lol. When I played years ago (before taking time off from the game) there was no Cabbage Hut or MRC. It?s been a learning curve to figure out what to do. I?m far behind in my expansions as well so there?s that too. I?m level 50 from back in the day but basically at a lower level in terms of accomplishments from losing years of not playing. I guess I should focus on these big pile movers like Cabbage Hut and Alicorns. Thank you.

RoyalBlue305
04-13-21, 08:29 AM
I disagree. I?ve got several energy droppers from past baron tent prizes. I wouldn?t call the cabbage hut useless. To me it?s more of a long term strategy. I do agree the MRC and energy droppers there should be the first thing to focus on.

I do have the MRC but can?t seem to get enough Gold Tokens yet. So I guess that should be my focus first. Thank you for your response.

Thanks to you Lavenderdale and everyone else with all their ideas. Great forum and sorry if we?re off-topic here but it was a huge help.

While we are off topic, a nice way to look around your game without hovering watering cans etc. is using the photo button. At worst you?ll accidentally take a picture, but you won?t risk accidentally moving or selling an item.

First thing I do every morning is go around all my daily energy sources, or at least as many as I can remember! Most are grouped, but some are with their theme. And I now hit all my weeklies as soon as they are eligible. This has allowed me occasionally to get a MH LB prize that I really really really want.

On topic, it feels natural to be visiting Ivy again twice a day. I?ve now got her on about 9:00 am and pm, which is much easier than, say, 12:30.

Me too! There's usually at least one material per event that I'd love to have as a deco. So many of the materials in the game are absolutely gorgeous to look at that it seems almost a waste that we don't get to display them. The incredible and detailed artwork is one of the main reasons that I started collecting in CS!

Already reached the last goal, so no stress. I can make it to Ivy at least once a day! I may visit just one community kingdom a day instead of all at once. This event does have some cute graphics and I may have to organize a forest theme area. Some stuff is already together, but it will be a chance to reorganize.

I was wondering about this, too. Does it do anything, or just walk around? I love bears so have been really into this event, but 200 gems is steep if he doesn't do anything. Also, he doesn't really fit in with the "cartoony" feel of Mama Bear and Cub. The wooden bear decoration is also a bit different. I like it, but it doesn't feel like a cohesive collection. Can you tell I watch "Project Runway?" Lol!

I'm getting frustrated that I have to use 100% of my daily energy to chop these stupid stumps. Sometimes I only get a clawed wood 1 out of 5 chops. and wooden spoons only 1 or 2 per stump. One of my accounts has finished the chapters/goals, but the other ones are still slaves to these stupid stumps and elm trees, and I'm just sick of it.

I actually got lucky this time and got the cub. It?s actually the first time I?ve gotten the extra prize from the adventures.

You know that energy stacks up right? Like, if you collect from all your Alcorns every day, that energy will build up if you do not use it. You should never "save" an Alicorn; collect from it every day and save the energy instead by storing it up.

I?m confused by what you mean; can you elaborate? Normally you can?t get more than40, but you can go over if you collect from energy animals.

You get *rotten* cabbages, one a day, to chuck at a baron face in the baron's tent for daily prizes. Each toss gives you something, a ha full of coins most often, but also resources, from something you collect, like milk, to a something you craft, like a potion. You can see the baron's tent prize thread, which is pinned (sorry don't know how to put in) as well as cabbage hut thread, which has been posted earlier. : )

I got what I got. Now that I have more energy droppers, I just keep going on them until I complete the upgrade, going more for the bottle next resource rather than the main prize.

I?m confused by what you mean; can you elaborate? Normally you can?t get more than40, but you can go over if you collect from energy animals.

You can go higher than 40, you just won't get any energy for free anymore.
If you have 0 energy, than 2 hours later you will have 40 energy (for free). You will only get new free energy if you spent the energy you have and wait.
If you have 40 energy (or 100, or 1000) the only difference is you won't get your free 'refill's' anymore.

So you can't go above 40 energy just by waiting and doing nothing. The max for free energy is 40.
But if you have 40 energy and collect from something that gives you 10 energy, you will have 50 energy. You keep having 50 energy indefinitely if you don't spent it, it's yours to use when you want. Every time you collect from an energy source it will accumulate.

In my opinion this saving of energy is only useful if you have loads and loads of energy droppers, and you have trouble spending it all.
Saving means not getting energy for free anymore. That's 40 energy every 2 hours you're not getting, that's huge. You can do so much with just the 40 energy free refills.

My advise would be to keep using your energy and make your Realm strong.
Participate in events, gain items/ buildings, save Gems if you can, do trades, expand your Realm, level up your buildings, cook feasts, go on as many adventures as you can (they can be a good source of energy, Gems and random extra goodies)

What does one get from the cabbage hut?

The Cabbage Hut gives 1 Rotten Cabbage a day. You can use them in the Baron's Tent, in a mini-game to win prizes.

Building up a large collection of energy droppers is the way to go.

We can't be playing the game every two hours because the real world does not allow it so, it's pretty hard to reap the free 40 energy per 2-hours benefit.

I concentrated on building up my collection of energy droppers and after a couple of years, I collect at least 600 points of energy every day and an additional 1,000 points every seven days. Of course, when the daily droppers are good enough to drop a 100 surprise, the collection is better on that day.

I agree, building up your collection of energy droppers is one of the most helpful things you can do in this game.
But before you have such a large collection (in order to get there), I think it's important to make the most of your free energy.
I understand not many people can log in exactly every 2 hours, but every time you do, you'll get a weekly Alicorn worth of energy (if the log'ins are 2 hours apart).
I think that's a wonderful gift we shouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of.

If you don't count outright buying energy droppers, collecting them takes time, patience, energy and a healthy Realm.

Thank you so much for your clear explanation of this issue, and I totally agree with you that until a person can afford energy droppers, they should use their free energy. I've only been playing a few weeks now, so I have virtually no energy droppers, although the daily adventures help as do some occasional trades in the Royal Exchange. I don't know how long it takes to accumulate energy droppers. I did get the Glimmeregg Alicorn which gives a handful of extra energy here and there and one time gave me 40.

More energy droppers will come, but like I said before, it takes time. And Energy droppers are not the only good thing to have, especially in the beginning.
Everything can be useful, so try to collect as many prizes as you can. Even if you can't complete events, participating is usually rewarding. Like now, getting all 3 Faerie Atrium prizes is fairly easy and within everyone's reach.
Just enjoy the Main Story Lines (they have some pretty good rewards). I've completed them all, and I miss having always something to work on (now it's mostly events and expansion).

You only get 3 if you have no Rotten Cabbages in storage. It's like the 40 free energy limit. You get 'filled' to 3, but if you don't throw those, you won't get another 3 the next day.
And even if something went wrong and you didn't get your 3 free ones to start with, I don't understand why it would be a waste of money?

If you keep collecting from your Cabbage Hut every day and don't spent any of them, you will be able to win a prize you like now and then.
Only begin throwing if you really like the prize and if you have at least 25 Cabbages saved. (worst case scenario the main prize will cost you 25 Rotten Cabbages)
You can keep collecting Cabbages and wait until an energy dropper of guaranteed trade ticket dropper is in your Tent.
You should be able to pick up around 1 prize a month, and I think it's a great investment. Many of the best droppers in my Realm are prizes from the Cabbage Hut's and they didn't cost me anything more than the initial investment and 1 energy a day (+time and patience)

When you collectfrom the Cabbage Huts, you should be able to see the Rotten Cabbage drop and you should be able to see how many you have in your inventory and in the Baron’s Tent itself.
If they don’t accumulate (or drop) something is defenitly wrong. Contacting S8 support seems a good step.

The Hub has a dedicated thread about the barons tent with instructions on how to accumulate cabbages. Perhaps read through that first before going to Support given everyone else can and does accumulate cabbages.

Any further discussion must not be made here in this thread; please continue discussions about the tent in the current active thread found at the top of discussion forum as a sticky thread. If you need additional help feel free to message me and we can work through it. Thanks :)

Will we be able to buy Goldie at the end of the vent with gems and if so, how many? I haven't been able to play this event but can always use a trade ticket dropper.

Sort of? Under your Community Event Individual Prize Tracker, it shows you how many Gems you'd need to spend to reach the next prize. Once you have that prize, I believe the number updates to show how much you would need to spend to reach the next. In my opinion it seems to be waaaay more expensive to buy from there rather than Gemming through parts of the event to have a fully-upgraded bear den to speed up the timer on (Fully Upgraded = 25 bear currency per 2 hours collection, speed up around... 8 Gems (? need to check) ) (Edit: 4 Gems, thank you Ronja! ❤️) may have been, but I don't have exact numbers for the event's total gem cost. ^^'

For example, I have 604 bear currency and my next Individual Prize will be rewarded at 650 bear currency, which I will surpass in 2 collections (+50) over the next 4 hours from my fully upgraded bear den... and the system wants 350 Gems for that 😳 It would only cost, what, 16 Gems (Edit: 8 Gems! ) to speed up the bear den's timer twice? So the further you'd progressed, the better off you'd be speeding up the timer instead of purchasing it outright (and you get the other prizes along the way as well). ❤️

I personally don't feel she'd be worth it (especially if you hadn't managed to play at all), there's always other opportunities ❤️

Does anyone else have other insight ?

(Edit: I feel like I must be missing something, that's a huge difference in cost. I know it gets less expensive to finish the event with gem skip/gem purchase as you make more progress, but the Individual Prize cost doesn't seem to update- The cost to reach our next individual goal prize must account for gem skip amounts along the way or something to justify the 21x as expensive Gem cost, and just doesn't update after you've progressed in the goal line to make it less expensive... because the cost of the bear currency stays the same, and that displayed gem cost to reach the next prize only decreases when you earn more bear currency... since it's progress on our bear individual goal line that matters for it, not our event progress? And we should then know to gem speed our timers instead of purchasing it outright? Or something? )

No other insights, I think you explained it very well.
Speeding up the Bear Den is only 4 Gems. ;) (I like they always keep the speeding up's for these kind of buildings/ items low)

Oh wow, that's awesome! ❤️ My timer was showing 4 Gems at 1.5 hrs left so I thought it would've been more expensive all the way, thank you!

(Agreed. That's a great price, totally encourages progress and even spending to get there and finish. Lovely. 😊❤️ )

The speed up cost is a gem for each 30 minutes or part there of. 1 hour 31 minutes would still be 4 gems.
The difference between speeding up and outright purchase of Goldie is ridiculous. I am at 887 bears, so 19 gems to finish right now. Cost to buy Goldie is 1202 gems. Obviously with the time left, I should not need to speed up.

Sometimes that happens but can be fixed by either confirming you hit that milestone and your game didn't jump back (collect again from the den), she bounced on your board when you placed her and is now in hiding behind a building or similar or she did a runner and you need to ask Support to put her back for you. Here's the link to support if you need it. They will only take a couple of days to resolve your ticket. Goldie has arrived - I hope these ladies are cautious if they go Into the Woods!

Interesting that they are from three different genres - book, fairy tale, and nursery rhyme - but they go so well together!

Is anyone else struggling to get the porridge cub? I’ve been using almost all my energy to chop the stumps and I barely get any wooden spoons. I have tons of clawed wood now but I’ve already upgraded the bear den to level 6 so it’s no use to me. This part of the event seems to be purely luck and now there’s less than a day left so it’s been a huge waste of energy and effort :(

Thank you! ❤️ Wow that's an even steeper cost, sheesh. Really must be very strong encouragement to play through 😅

I actually don't continue trying to get the Adventure Prize after finishing for this reason- it just leads to frustration and since i'm still building my realm I have other things i'd rather spend the game time/energy on. Since the only thing I need if finished is those Adventure items, I feel like the hyperfocus on that one item makes me feel like the game's out to get me and the drop rate decreased when it really was just the normal rng fluctuations. 😂 The few times i've tried (reeeally wanted the prize) i've been in the same boat, not able to get the specific resource needed and veeery disappointed when the extra adventure chances come up lacking. Personally prefer to keep the whole thing a surprise! 😅

I'm still working towards Goldie. Have to be vigilant with my check ins. 👍

Good luck with the final "day"/hours all! ❤️

The ladies do go together quite nicely. I really love the artwork and that we can mix and match characters and decorations as we please. I have chosen to put my Goldie in Bear Country. Previous Mama Bear now looks like Papa Bear. Uncle Black Bear fits in too.

I stopped after completing the upgrades to the Bear Den. I?ve learnt from previous events that if you ?were meant? to get the Adventure prize, you?d not only get it relatively quick but it is also possible for you to get it multiple times.

I used to go on at least 25 adventures in futile attempts to get the prize but these days have chosen to conserve my energy for the leaderboards where it can be spent on horse ****ing.

It's not x amounts of attempts or resources to get them. It's intended to be a rare prize. I did a bit more adventuring this event but no baby bear. I gave up yesterday. I have learned to give it a bit of a try but not set my heart on it. Likely not even 10% of people get the adventure prize if I were to guess. I don't know how they have coded it, but I think that your experience is that of most of us, frustrating, but by design.

Oops, I meant to reply to Shoq101's post rather than deadpixel's..:)

100%. Apparently the cub is a "rare drop" from the Explore the Woods quest. I exhausted all my energy (and paid for a lot of extra energy when that was one of the things we could purchase at the beginning of this event) chopping stumps, getting almost no spoons, going on the adventure, and it is truly just luck if you get it or not. I realized today that one of my accounts had 3 spoons, so I thought I could get 2 more spoons really quickly and go on one last adventure. Spent 40 energy to chop 2 stumps and only got 1 spoon. Used 15 gems to buy one more spoon and am waiting for the adventure to end, but I have virtually no hope that it will give the cub. From reading other people's posts, these items rarely drop in events - only the lucky few get these items. Pretty disappointing to have no control over the outcome.

I assume that if I have crafted everything I want from the fairy atrium that I can save fairy boxes for future events?

Also gearing up because I assume that there will be a "Weekday Warrior" event tonight when the Golden Opportunity event ends.

Fairy boxes do not save. They show up as "empty" in inventory. You need new ones each event.

Thank you for the information. And that's a bummer, but not a surprise. Guess I'll go put them all out and see if I have enough left to craft some coins or something.
