Once you complete the cruise, she will come into your restaurant and a bubble with the ingredient she drops will appear. I haven’t finished this cruise yet, but here’s an example of a previous character. You need to tap on her once she appears to unlock the recipe which earns gems :)

I’m on the last day of the cruise and the “fairy feast” didn’t show up in my library— also preventing me from moving forward with the event challenge... is there a way to fix this? I wouldn’t have noticed that I didn’t get it if it weren’t for the event challenge which is now stuck without “earning” that prize.... thanks

Have you completed all of the other steps necessary for the cruise/goal?

Yep. Character comes in and my cruise is now completed. Still says I’m missing Day 6 “fairy feast” (the one square deco of grass and mushrooms etc). My event task is stuck on master the seed cake to level one (completed) and serve the milk cake ( completed) and collect day 6 fairy feast. If I push go next to that task it takes me to the market. I guess to buy one? It doesn’t show up for purchase either. Stage 1 of this event task also included collecting deco which I had already in my library from a previous cruise. Thanks
