Not getting coins while away

I'm down to less than 700,000 coins from over 25million coins. I have bought the required items for the goal, but it seems I'm not getting coins while I'm away from the game. Anyone else having this issue???

Not sure if this is the same, but for me any new coins aren't added after being away for hours/minutes etc. I have to reopen a 2nd time to have them show up.
However I think you're talking about a LOT of coins missing ... sorry, that sucks.
