The Baron's Tent - December 2020

*NOTE* The Baron's Tent is considered a "mini game" & cannot be stored OR sold.
This is not a bug.

In order to get ANY prizes from December until early February, you have to throw SNOWBALLS instead of cabbages!

The Baron's Tent will start you with 6 daily snowballs (not cumulative) & show your total number of snowballs, not cabbages. To see your total number of cabbages, look at the snowball craft in your Trade Wagon.
The Cabbage Hut will continue to drop cabbages, not snowballs.
How to get snowballs? ... There are 4 ways:

1. "Trade Up" by converting your cabbages into snowballs in the Trade Wagon.
Two cabbages can be traded for one snowball in 5 minutes.

Remember if you make Snowballs in advance, you won't get your 6 free ones, and you won't be able to watch video's in your Tent for more Snowballs. (6 free Snowballs equals 12 Rotten Cabbages. so it's worth it to make sure you get them every day)

2. Buy & clear a Snowball Pile from the Market.
30 Gems and 1 chop will gain you 3-7 snowballs.

3. Watch videos in the Tent.
Each video watched will reward you 1 Snowball (instead of Rotten Cabbages to convert).
If you haven't already watched your daily video limit, videos will appear inside the Baron's Tent once you have 2 or less Snowballs in your Tent. Number of daily videos allotted vary from player to player (3+).

SW ~ Can you please check with S8 about it? Do they end on 2/2, 2/5 or 2/8?
And let them know the goal "Snowball Switch Up" shows ending 11/3 on it from an old trade.

Thanks Melany, I was just gonna check on that. I used the template from the first snowball event (which was 6 hrs) and was hoping I could use the same goal pix but nope, most of them have different names so are diff pix (of course, lol).
5 minutes is definitely better than 6 hours tho, so I'm glad that changed.

I'll fix that now...

The Tent switched over to Snowballs at Event-release time, but If you'd already checked your Baron's Tent for the day before then you'll have the November prize in it until its timer expires.
Same as the Weekday/Weekend prize switchover (like during the month with Mint Chip Alicorn) where you could throw Monday's Regular Rotten Cabbages for a Sunday special-cabbage Weekend prize if you timed it right. 😊

Tomorrow (whenever your timer on the Turkey Chick expires) you should have a December prize! ❤️

I had snowballs in my inventory from last year that are not showing up. Also, I clicked on the 4 gnomes (the clauses, grinch and reindeer) and they are not dropping snowballs. What is going on with the missing ones and no gnome drops?

Hello! The Snowballs are a seasonal item and reset after the season is over, similar to the Faeries in the Faerie Atrium do in the community events.

I hate when that happens. I lost my last pig you craft. I finished. This game has a BIG PROBLEM IN THE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PROGRAM It resets too much. Yesterday my game reset when I collected from my haunted keep. I got 6 energy. Then it reset and I got better drops even a gem then it reset again and I got 6 energy. Usually when it resets witch is all the time. Every thing I collected from resets then I loose the energy it too to collect from it. They are usually good at fixing the problem. I had the yellow and rainbow things just the pink ones were gone. I should have sent a pic to show I finished I was sick all last week but when I thought about it they were all gone. They take them away after every event. Good luck.

mine also seems to repeat prizes. I also wish their card said more than, "pet them to see what they will find for you" at least tell us one thing that might make it worth getting. I didn't see it mentioned but it looks like an Alicorn is the reward for getting 4 of the new prizes.

No wings or horn on the Limited Time Grand prize, i'm curious to see what item name and drops the forerunners start reporting in a day or so. 😊❤️

I think the Holiday Castle looks a bit blurry and unclear :( Like it was a small building, and they enlarged it 3 times.
I'm so sorry for always being so picky, but I really do think it doesn't meet the normal Castle Story quality. (it stands out compared to other deco, especially when fully zoomed in like I always play)
The size is nice for a change, but with these (in my opinion unclear/ blurry) graphics it would look better as a 2x2.
Is there anything you can do about this S8?

Got my grinchpea today and snow kitsunecorn yesterday. Hoping for multiples of the snow kit, its really pretty and is a daily energy dropper. Last week I got 40 energy and 45 energy from two of my four my little bee kitsunecorns (on the same day) so I hope there’s a chance for high energy drops from these guys too.

Storm 8 - are you not going to turn back on the snowball dropping capabilities from the 4 gnomes from last year? Mr. Claus gnome, Mrs. Claus gnome, Grinchy gnome and reindeer gnome all dropped them. In January this year, the snowballs stopped. I kept them out all year to use them when the snowballs started again. But, 3 days, 0 snowballs.

It is my understanding that the Snowballs we're currently using aren't the same as the Snowballs we were using last year. In my mind, I think of it as we're now using Snowballs v2.0 which are a totally unique and new item not connected to their original namesake in any way, shape or form (other than the obvious, lol). To that point, any sources from last season are now moot and if we were to accumulate any new sources this year, they too would be useless after this season is over.

I don't think you can buy Rotten Cabbages right now.
You can buy Snowballs directly in the Baron's Tent (10 Gems a piece I think?) and you can buy a Snowball Pile in the Market (30 Gems for 3 to 7 Snowballs, you need to chop it)
So if you need 3 or more Snowballs, you're better off buying in the Market. Worst case you get 3 Snowballs for 30 Gems, best case you get more, up to 7.

Edit, Sorry, I forgot about the Cabbage Huts.. In the Market and the Trade Wagon, you can buy a Cabbage Hut (1 for Gems, 1 for Golden Troll Coins) that drops 1 Rotten Cabbage a day.
Highly recommended if you don't have them yet.

I just got a cocoa bean and an orange petal from the caroling gnomes. A little disappointing after 22 hours

I got a mushroom and a black flag for wheat from my carolers. Agreed. I thought with the longer timer it might be more than that. Still, they look great outside my cathedral.

The snowpile dragon is the cutest, and IMO the best prize this month. This morning I got 5 energy and black flag for mithril. My guess is its drops are similar to those from mithril dragons, so it's likely that it might drop 2 gems as well.

I love LOVE the tent this month. Actually I think they've really done a great job with tent recently. The only complaint is the randomness of the prizes, which might really spoils the fun especially if you keep getting the same old prizes all the time. Here's to send best wishes for everyone so you'll have a chance at the prizes you most love. It's nice that these prizes will be here for two months, so it's more likely that you'll get what you want.

I think the Holiday Castle looks a bit blurry and unclear :( Like it was a small building, and they enlarged it 3 times.
I'm so sorry for always being so picky, but I really do think it doesn't meet the normal Castle Story quality. (it stands out compared to other deco, especially when fully zoomed in like I always play)
The size is nice for a change, but with these (in my opinion unclear/ blurry) graphics it would look better as a 2x2.
Is there anything you can do about this S8?

Same with the holiday garden. I know S8 have fixed graphics issues like this before so do hope they can this time too.

I am on Android and do not have the option to watch any videos to get snowballs or rotten cabbages is this normal or are the videos for players with a different operating system. Please clarify this for me.

On iOS it only works with the latest OS versions. And lately it switch to the Apps store causing the game sometime to crash. Then you lose the snowball/cabbage. CS for Android might the poorly served version of the game.

I just got 2 gems from my snow pile dragon yay! I also have the snow kid but still waiting to collect from it. They are both so adorable!!!

Edit: snow pile dragon dropped 5 energy and 1 mithril today
Snow kid has dropped a red sleigh and 2 Christmas paths so far, the paths have a light green Christmas tree in the center

I think I'm gonna do that.

That's what I do. But I have so many rotten cabbages that it doesn't matter that I lose out on the free cabbages. I want as many of the little snow kitsunecorn as I can get and just want to be ready to go once it pops up into my tent. I have two more barons tent prizes to go before I can get the grand prize. But there's just nothing I really want other than the kitsunecorn

1 Of the decorations dropped by Snowkid (I got 1, hooray!!) is the Ice Block.
It gives 15 Royal Points, which is a lot for a 1x1 deco. Most walls give 3 RP (as far as I know) and my lovely Rainbow Hedge only gives 1 RP.
Imagine having a whole wall of Ice Blocks! :love_heart: And I think they look good. (just like an Ice Cube)

Got the beautiful Clydesdale after winning the castle, snow kid, snow leopard, and grinchpea.

The only prize I still want is the frozen kitsuncorn and I would probably get more than one.

My winter section is stuffed to the gills- I love it! I may need separate winter and Christmas sections like I did for spooky stuff (one is generic haunted graveyard and one is specific Halloween). And I agree, the 15 rp ice cube is unbelievable. I already have 3.

I won my fourth prize from the tent today. The snow kitsecorn and got the winter clydesdale. I placed both in my kingdom and when I went in an hour later both had gone and the goal for winning 4 items has gone from my goal book. Really upset. I have written to support but I am worried they won’t believe me.

Edit I have had a response from S8 asking for more info but every time I reply I get the same email back asking for the same information. I don’t want them to think I am spamming them but don’t know what to do. SW can you please advise. Do I keep replying or not.

Please don't hate me, but I have a "good" problem: I've already gotten 6 (six!!) Snow Kitsunecorns and now it's in my tent again (second day in a row). Now I don't know whether to go for it once more, given that
- I would use up my last rotten cabbages that way
- it's only a 2+ dropper and I already own a decent amount of energy droppers in total
- I already have six of them

I do own two cabbage huts and there's one more month to go before the tent prizes change, so I would be replenishing my supply somewhat. Also, I doubt there'll be an energy dropper in the tent next month. So maybe I should just go for it and be happy that I get to put my rotten cabbages to use?

I was luckily able to get one already and have not had a chance for the Snowpile Dragon yet. I only have enough cabbages for 1 more prize while leaving me enough for the prizes in Feb.

I decided to gamble and not get the Kitsunecorn hoping I will get the Snowpile Dragon and that there will be good prizes next month. Let me know what you decide to do.

Fingers crossed you get the Snowpile Dragon!! I've decided against getting it. Well, it's mostly due to laziness - I just don't want to have to collect snowballs every five minutes. How productive are the Caroling Gnomes? Really interested in Strawberry drops

It's not a guaranteed drop. I just collected from them and I got 1 Mushroom and a Black Flag for Sugar Cane (I'm not maxed on Strawberry's) + Coins
I haven't been collecting from them much, so I can't tell you any more alas.
They do look really great in front of a building. They are moving their mouths and musical notes fly from them.

I just noticed S8 improved the graphics of the Holiday Garden AND the Holiday Castle! (they were a bit blurry before)

I'm loving this months (2 months) prizes!
I'm going for a second Santa Troll today. He's a great money maker in combination with the Troll Hunter Trade.
(Rotten Cabbage stock is taking a big hit, but it's definitely worth it with al these lovely prizes :D)

Sigh. I've had the Elf Fairy pretty much every day. I probably could have had 2 dozen elf fairies by now if I threw for every one. Smh. I got the snow kitsunecorn early in, thankfully. I haven't seen another one, though.Is it that we only get one?
I haven't seen the snow kid at all. I suspect he's mighty afraid of that elf fairy girl.

On the upside I do have 2 snow pile dragons so yay! I'm back to stockpiling cabbages so all the best and POTP to everyone hunting for something good :)

You can have multiplies. I think I could have gotten a fourth, but these last two events have convinced me to be circumspect with my cabbages because they are finally getting useful again.

I thought so, but mine don't work in the hut (never want to load properly) and have been a little temperamental as of late (some days they just don't want to play and grant rewards at all).
I did get 6 today spread out though.

I got six ad videos earlier today, but you can only amass three of them at a time. So use the six free, watch three videos, use them, then watch three more. (At least that’s how it works for me.)

It varies for me across multiple accounts. Usually at least 6 sometimes get 8
Still getting the clunkers sometimes that crash game after trying to start APP store

I've got two kitsunekorns and decided not to go for more because they give me just 2 energy. Waiting 5 minutes to craft just 1 snowball and repeat and repeat until I get the necessary approx 18 is a luxury I can't afford.
But whom I'd like to get (and for them I agree to do this snowball crafts) are the Caroling Gnomes. Tgey are very cute and I don't care for their drops. Unfortunately, they never yet showed up in my Barons Tent. Power of the forum, help me. :)
And yes, videos in the Tent don't appear at all since long. But I'm ok with that.

I got 5 kitsunecornes so far; yeah, sometimes only 2 energy, but have also had loads of 4 and 5 energy drops.

I hear you re babysitting for 5 min at a time! Gah! So far have done this rather than gem buy, though... esp as just hit a by another gem trap of 75 gems to speed up a dragon. More gah! That's alotta gems! (Good naturedly). Not worth losing sleep over, though. (Hug, hug, re other thread)

I have no vids in tent today, but yesterday I had 6.

The gnomes are adorable and I got a set because of cuteness factor rather than drops too.

Still some time left, though! May everyone have show up in The Tent what you wish, as often as you want! : )

I was also fortunate enough to have multiple Kitsunecornes in my Tent, and from what I'm experiencing, they drop 2 Energy 50% of the time, and more the rest of the time. (usually 3 to 5, but it could be more)
I'm very happy with any kind of energy dropper. (the more the better of course, but I love all of them)
And these Kitsunecornes are just gorgeous, that's a big plus.

I also won the Caroling Gnomes for their art/ animation rather than drops. I'm enjoying them quite a lot :love_heart:

We still have 2 weeks left, I hope everyone is lucky and gets what they want in the Tent!

My kits actually drop 42, 45 and 47 energy quite often (such random numbers always stand out to me - this happens at least two to three times a month too!), I have five from the tent this time (yay!) and 4 of the ******d ones and I love all of them!

One of my kitsunecorne ...herd - what is a group of kitsunecornes? A swish of kitsunecornes?? : ) - dropped 25 energy today. Whoop whoop! Up to 7 of the darlings now, best haul ever from a tent season in all my years of play.

I remember ShortDanzr reporting an awesome haul of I think ticket droppers one month... Anyone else have super (and wanted) multiples (the ones we do t want can certainly seem to pop up a lot!) : ) from this or other events? Is that OK to ask in this thread?

It's wonderful to multiples of the really juicy tent prizes. One year ago we had a month with both ticket and energy droppers ;) I got 7 spellbound princesses (guaranteed ticket droppers) and 5 fairy bride and groom couples (2+ energy and decent coin droppers), later we had the mint chip alicorn (weekly energy dropper) which I jumped on the 4 times it appeared in my tent. This time round I collected a herd of 8 snow kitsunecorns and 4 snow pile dragons (I don't need mithril, but I get them just to be able to replenish faster if there's another mithril intensive event - like the "elements" storyline". And because they're darn cute!). I also got 5 gecko's a few months ago, which are like the mermaid pond with 5 hour timers and guaranteed mermaid scale drops. I don't need the scales anymore, but I have painful memories of many a mermaid scale crisis throughout playing this game.

Basically I go for multiples of tickets and energy droppers + specific resource droppers which have been scarce in the past + occasionally deco or cuteness factor
