Since so many of you enjoyed this post, I've given it pride of place here for you to enjoy! ;)

I couldn?t help myself, I bought my toxic/kindred spirit...partly to get the drops (1 ivy potion, 3 maps & glimmerdust for me) but MOSTLY because I am so bored I wanted to invite you all to this:

56774

Come celebrate some toxic love at what is bound to be the wedding which truly defines 2020. Yes, Toxic Tammy and Lava Larry are getting hitched! These two blobs can?t wait to start their lives together. Her father, Treeple Tony, even slapped on a mask, boarded a plane and flew all the way from Tucson so walk her down the aisle.

Flying Raccoon Renaldo will be acting as ring BEARer, and as you can see her Moo-Ed of Honor, Cow Karen, will be by her side. The best man/Cleaner of rice, Chicken Charlie really got his ensemble wrong. All is forgiven after that wild bachelor party he threw at Greseldas Castle last night.

BadBoyBeau will be officiating. Might seem an odd choice, but keep in mind this will be a pagan wedding and those two are basically demons....so it will be a lot of praying to volcanoes, dancing around maypoles, and various sacrifices. I will be very short on goats by the time this is over. But who needs those anyway?

Music provided by Floritzel & The Petunias. Dancing and Potion drinking all around after the ceremony. There will be unlimited bread, grits and piles of sugar served. ;)We shall say farewell to our newlyweds as they are whisked away in the evil carriage to some creepy corner of the Misty Marshlands with none other than than Driver/Dubstep DJ Brutus The Bandit!

PLEASE 2020, BE OVER. THIS IS WHAT I DO WITH MY TIME NOW. :p:p:blue::confused::p:rolleyes::cool:;)

I have been watching a TV program where lab geeks do loads of experiments, so it got me in the mood. I also didn't do much for the last MH, so have loads of energy to hand. So, I got started on part 2, rolled up my PJ sleeves and got choppin'. : )

Method: chop loads and loads of stuff. : D

Energy Resources: 10 willows (150 energy incl the 5 to grow them) and 30 each of poisoned tree, toxified tree, and toxic stump. Total energy used: 600

RESULTS!
Willows: 27 poisoned wood (From 10 trees, 150 energy)
Toxified Tree: 16 PW (from 30 of the guys, also 150 energy)
Toxified stump: 21 PW (same 30 and 150)
Poisoned Tree: 15 PW (same 30 items and 150 energy)

There is a cap of 99 on the PW. Experiment was paused to make water compasses.

Conclusion:

If you have more patience than I do, the willows are, as others have posted, the best source: ONLY for regular play outside of weekday warrior! Since WW energy is free, may as well use less efficient sources to chop. If you want willows, as someone else has wisely posted, getting them on the board but not (fully) watered will save you energy (two per tree if you are REALLY organised) : )

For WW poisoned wood, it's most energy and space saving to set up orchards of toxified stumps, esp if you are on an iOS device and can quick collect.

Dialogue - Part 1 (complete)

Goal 1
Ivy: Ruler, can I speak with you about something?
Ruler: Is everything all right, Ivy?
Ivy: Well... yes? I think? Maybe not... something *feels* wrong, if that makes sense.
Ruler: What do you mean, Ivy?
Ivy: Things just feel... heavy. And dark. There's something amiss.
Ruler: Are you feeling unwell?
Ivy: No, not me... I think the Glimmerwoods might be feeling unwell. I've been looking around to see if I could find anything wrong, but nothing yet. Can you help me look?
Ruler: Of course, Ivy!

Goal 2
Ivy: Oh my! That's a spirit unlike any I've ever seen. It came from the bushes... It's darkened everything around it!
Ruler: It seems to be leaving a trail of toxic sludge behind it as well... It's going to muck up all of the flowers! We're going to have to fight this spirit off and then clean up things afterwards...
Ivy: Well, you were definitely right, Ivy. Something is greatly amiss in the realm. It might be time to gather up our knights.

Goal 3
Ivy: That toxic wisp spirit left this map behind... and there's a wee spirit attached! It may be some sort of toxicity but... it's rather adorable, actually!
Ruler: I'm not sure I would describe this mess as cute, Ivy! it seems like might be evil. The way it clings to the map and hides the destination... That can't be good!
Ivy: Well, no one ever said evil things can't be cute! You're right, though. I can't make anything of this map in its current state.
Ruler: Let's take this to Old Thomas. Maybe he can help us find the way!

Goal 4
Old Thomas: Hmmm... this is very interesting. And you said it was dropped by a dark spirit?
Ruler: We fought a monster that came from some bushes, and it left this map behind.
Old Thomas: It is certainly something toxic... but there is dark magic here at work as well. A mess like this cannot be cleared away with just anything... It is similar to the monster you found... a persistent dark force is at work here. If we are not careful, this darkness could spread to more of the realm. It is best to get to the bottom of this now... and this map is the key!
Ruler: The sludge on the map won't let us see which way to go... what do we do?
Old Thomas: We will need to try something a bit unusual to chase away this dark sprite. Not water, not soap... no, this spirit will need to be chased away by sound!
Ruler: A sound? What do you mean, Thomas?
Old Thomas: I have something in mind... come with me to the Magic Forge!

Goal 5
Old Thomas: With that darkness gone, I can see where this map is directing you! It is best to keep a chime with you on your journey... it may keep you safe!
Ruler: My journey? What do you mean, Thomas?
Old Thomas: This map! I can tell exactly where it is leading. The distance may be great, but it is imperative that you travel to this site. With how the darkness tried to prevent us from seeing it, I think it is the key to all of this.
Ruler: The darkness has continued to appear from our plants...
Old Thomas: Indeed, Young Ruler, and I fear it will continue to spread unless we stop it.
Ruler: Then I suppose you are right, Thomas. It's time for a journey!

Goal 6
Old Thomas: It's time to gather supplies and journey, Young Ruler. This is a new foe, unlike any we have ever seen before. While the best way to combat it is as of yet unknown, we have many tools in our arsenal to win the day. Ivy and I are here to help you, should you need any resources! The way is clear now on this map, though the destination is not... It is marked with only this strange symbol, a whirly swirl of some sort. With how the darkness has fought to obscure the way, however, it is best that you do not travel alone.
Ruler: Don't worry about me, Thomas... I know just who I want by my side.

Goal 7
Thurston: Look at that temple, my liege! It floats in the sky with some sort of magic!
Ruler: This has to be the location that was marked on the map... The symbol certainly makes sense now!
Thurston: And look, my liege! The toxic plants surround this temple as well. Did this horrible toxin follow us on our journey, my liege?
Ruler: I don't think so, Thurston... this growth looks like it has been here for some time.
Thurston: What should we do now, my liege? How do we get up there? Shall I gather the knights? We can make the highest human ladder this realm has ever seen!
Ruler: As fun as that sounds, I think perhaps we could just use those stairs...
Thurston: Ah, so wise al always, my liege!

Goal 8
Wind Spirit: Who are you? Why have you approached my temple?
Ruler: I am the ruler of the realm... We found a map that led us to your temple.
Wind Spirit: A map? The location of this temple is an ancient secret and is to remain that way. How did you come to be in possession of this map?
Ruler: A dark spirit, who has infected some of the plants in our realm... They leave behind a toxic sludge, and it seems to infect the growth around the realm. Once we defeated the spirit, we found this map covered in a dark substance. We were able to rid the darkness with the sound of the wind through chimes. But we found more of the toxins surrounding your temple as well. Look around you! The darkness is spreading.
Wind Spirit: So I see. This evil has spread, even to my own home. Am I to trust a strange child? How do I know you do not bear the darkness? There is a test you must face before I will allow you into my temple. I must know you are not one with the darkness itself.

Goal 9
Wind Spirit: My name is Monsoona. Welcome to the Prevailian Temple. You have earned access to this special place and I will help you as much as I can. But first... Tell me more about the darkness.
Ruler: It appeared by our bushes and took the form of a dark spirit. It spread a toxicity through the realm, a darkness we had never seen before. It was not easy to clean, either... We fear it will be hard to fully remove. When we saw the map and it sent us here, we thought maybe there would be help here. We found more of the toxic plants around this temple as well.
Monsoona: I hope to do what I can to assist you in choking the darkness. There seems to be great evil at work here. The map you found that lead you to my home... The darkness was likely using it to find its next target... It spread through your realm and would have overcome my temple... How did it come to be? We must investigate further. Come inside the temple. Let's have tea before we decide our next moves.

Dialogue - Part II (complete)

Goal 1
Baron: Are you ready for a challenge?

Goal 2
Ivy: You met the wind spirit? That's incredible!
Ruler: You've heard of her, Ivy?
Ivy: Oh yes, indeed. There are many stories about the elementals that dwell far off in the Glimmerwoods. There are spirits that control everything around us! The wind, the water, the earth... and that's just to name a few! I should love to meet her!
Ruler: Lucky for you, she is here!
Ivy: She's HERE?!
Ruler: Yes, she wanted to learn more about our realm.
Ivy: Oh, let's get her to the Tavern at once! The perfect way to a spirit's heart is a comforting and filling meal!

Goal 3
Monsoona: This darkness is certainly stronger than the wind alone. I think we may need to call in help from some of my siblings. Are you still seeing the darkness in the same places?
Ruler: The bushes are still contaminated, but we haven't found anything more yet.
Monsoona: It's best you look about your realm to see how deep this darkness has spread. Please bring me any evidence you can find. I wish to help you investigate further.

Goal 4
Monsoona: This is an unwelcome sign...if the poison has seeped into the trees, it means there is very dark magic at work here.
Ruler: Do you have any idea who might be the source of this darkness?
Monsoona: I do not yet know, child ruler. I think I may need to call in assistance. The first map you showed me... it led you directly to me?
Ruler: Yes, though we didn't know where it was pointing, it showed a symbol and when we followed it, it led right to your temple. we've still been finding the maps, but they are contaminated still.
Monsoona: Bring me some of the next ones you are able to find and please have that clever witch bring me a potion or two. I wish to see if there are more secrets to behold.

Goal 5
Monsoona: I hear distress on the wind, child ruler. It rustles through the leaves. There's a smell, too... the wind and darkness bring a familiar smell.
Ruler: A smell?
Monsoona: Yes, child ruler. As an immortal elemental, my senses are heightened. I can smell water... but it smells unwell. Malodorous and stale. This darkness may have greater permeance than we know, and I fear it may be spreading even further.
Ruler: Where do you think it's headed next, Monsoona?
Monsoona: I'll explain later, child ruler. Please, for now, check your realm and see how far the toxins have seeped in.

Goal 6
Monsoona: I have many siblings who control the elements around us... but in this case I do think my brother's domain may be the next to be affected. He is the one with all the water that fuels the world around us. The darkness that had spread to my realm, I was unaware of. I fear my brother will be similarly blindsided by the toxins. Whoever is behind this darkness is hoping to catch us off guard. I am grateful to you for seeking me out before the darkness consumed me. However, I must ask you for more help now. I hope you are feeling up to a journey, child ruler.
Ruler: You're helping us try to seek out the source of the darkness, Monsoona. We're willing to help, and we're always ready for a journey in this realm.
Monsoona: Perfect. I have just the tool you'll need to seek out Calder.

Goal 7
Thurston: So there's another journey ahead of us, my liege!
Ruler: That's right, Thurston. Might want to have the Knights pack for wet weather... I suspect we might see a bit of rain!

Goal 8
Thurston: This is amazing, my liege. How does this water flow? Where does it come from?
Ruler: Monsoona has special abilities when it comes to the air. I would guess her brother has special powers over the water.
Thurston: Incredible, my liege... but the darkness is here too!
Ruler: Monsoona was right. She definitely sent us in the right direction. We've got to try and get into that temple before the darkness overwhelms it!

Goal 9
Water Spirit: You say Monsoona sent you? Ha! She led you straight into a trap. I do not kindly greet mere mortals like you on the word of my sister alone.
Ruler: We're only here to help! We come bearing word of a great danger.
Water Spirit: Ha! You, help me? I'm an elemental mortal! What do you offer to help me?
Ruler: There is a darkness that is spreading throughout this realm. It consumed our plants, and threatened to consume Monsoona's temple. We have also found it here, around your realm! Look for yourself, you can see it all around outside.
Water Spirit: Oh, of course... leave my temple so you and your silver knights can raid it? How foolish do you think I am, child? No, you must prove yourself to me before I will even consider listening to your whinging. I hope you are ready for a fight.
Ruler: Oh, we're ready!

Goal 10
Water Spirit: I must admit, I am impressed. It has been far too long since we have had visitors. I am Calder, and this is the Laminary Temple. You say Monsoona sent you... did my sister think I was lonely? What is this darkness you speak of? I promised to listen, but you must explain quickly...
Ruler: We come from a nearby land, which is currently experiencing a sickness.
Calder: A sickness?
Ruler: A dark spirit has arrived in our realm, threatening our flowers and plants. It led us to your sister Monsoona's temple. She's been helping us. She helped us find you. She feared the darkness spreading to your temple. When we arrived here, we found she was right. The darkness has spread to your temple as well.
Calder: I see now what you speak of... the plants are unwell. The water is stale. But what do you wish of me, child?
Ruler: I wish to cure my realm of the dark force... I will do anything to help it.

Goal Information - Part III (complete)
10 goals

Goal Pre-requisites & Notes:
* Complete An Elemental Discovery Part 2
* You can begin this Part when you choose. You do not have to start it immediately
* Complete Part 3 of An Elemental Discovery within 45 days to receive the Ancient Turtle
* The Ancient Turtle is rewarded as soon as you begin the Earthly Celebration craft in goal 10. The Ancient Turtle's timer is 22 hours and does not drop story related items
* The final goal of Part 2 rewards you with Calder whose collection time is 22 hours. You can delay starting this part until he is ready for collection so you can complete Part 2, goal 2 immediately
* This part unlocks the Sublunaral Temple located in map reference K -2
* Toxified Spirits will spawn in between part 2 and 3 and will drop poisoned maps.
* Ivy's antidote drops continue between part 2 and 3
* The Wind Chime craft is not available in between part 2 and 3
* You can take as long as you like though... you will only miss out on the Ancient Turtle if you do not complete this goals within 45 days.
* The Toxic Spirit (150 gems) now drops 3 poisoned map, 1-3 poisoned wood and a chance for 1 Ivy's Antidote, 4 poisoned jewels + other items (listed in inventory section).
* Sparkling Mines and Sawmills will drop poisoned jewels (1-6) used to craft the Earth Talisman. They are a guaranteed drop from both the mines and sawmills.

I've had a drop of 4 a couple of times and even 5 once and 6 once but it's normally 2 or 3 from each more often than not. It is random as I have had all 4 drop only 1 each. I think the ability to craft enough talisman in time will mean setting your timer ever 3 hours or so or not missing many during the day. By the time I get enough p/jewels I'll likely be maxed on antidote. Break it down and make sure you're crafting 1 talisman every 2 days at most.

Dialogue - Part III (complete)

Goal 1
Baron: Are you ready for a challenge?

Goal 2
Calder: So, Monsoona tells me she showed you how to make a compass. I have seen the build that you made with her instructions. It's quite impressive! However, I am most intrigued by the potion you used as the liquid inside. Now there is true power... I wish to meet the wizard who crafted that brew. I should like to show them the water from my temple.
Ruler: Well, I can't help you with that, but I can introduce you to the witch behind the brew.

Goal 3
Calder: Your realm is very pleasant, child ruler, I must say. I can see why Monsoona has enjoyed spending time with you here.
Monsoona: Hush, Calder. The things we speak of are not for mortal ears.
Ruler: You are both welcome to stay here as long as you like.
Calder: Very kind of you, child ruler. This certainly would make a good place to visit. However, I think we both wish to prioritize finding the source of the darkness.
Monsoona: My brother may be rude, but he is right.
Ivy: I looked at the water sample you gathered from the temple and you are right... There is a trace of darkness inside it. It seems like the toxins have tried to infiltrate your temple.
Calder: Now that you have alerted us, we'll have no difficulty banishing the darkness, but the real question is, how did it sneak up on us like this?
Monsoona: And if it was able to sneak up on *us* like this with no warning... perhaps we need to check on our sister.

Goal 4
Monsoona: Our sister can be... temperamental. Even more so than Calder.
Calder: I take offense to that, Monsoona. I am a delight.
Ruler: You both have been very kind to us... why would your sister be anything else?
Calder: She is our older sister... our much, much, *much* older sister. She controls the very earth underneath us. She is responsible for many flowers that bloom and the trees that grow.
Monsoona: She is often at rest too... I can only imagine how draining her time has been.
Ruler: If the darkness spread to the earth, that could explain what we've seen here.
Monsoona: With how often she is asleep, the darkness cold have no issue claiming her. That could also explain how the dark spirits had that map...
Calder: Perhaps it is worth it to investigate this realm first? We have cleansed our temples of the darkness they were fraught with. Perhaps that was enough to rid the world of the toxins.
Monsoona: Good idea. No sense in waking Tierrabella unless it's absolutely necessary...

Goal 5
Ruler: What is your sister like, Monsoona? Is she like you and Calder?
Monsoona: Well, we come from the same family and se we are similar... but Tierrabella has been around for much longer than I or my brother, and she is certainly more powerful than my brother or I combined. I didn't suspect she would have any issues fending off the darkness... but with what we've seen, that was clearly an oversight on my part. Despite how things seem, I am rather worried about how she is doing.
Ruler: Don't worry, Monsoona. My knights and I will travel and help your sister. We've fought this darkness off since the beginning, we can help your sister if the darkness has gotten to her as well.
Monsoona: You are incredibly brave, child ruler. There is perhaps something very special about you as well.

Goal 6
Ruler: If your sister is temperamental, should we be cautious when approaching her?
Calder: It would be good to treat lightly, child ruler. The darkness ay not have even reached her yet, and she will not take kindly to unfamiliar mortals greeting her without warning. With how draining her work is, she doesn't like being awoken, that is for certain.
Ruler: Might there be something we can do to help your sister at ease? We have many resources in our realm. If there would be something we could take with us, to show her we mean well.
Calder: There is one thing that is sure to make Tierrabella feel better.

Goal 7
Calder: Good luck on your journey, child ruler. You're going to need it.
Monsoona: Calder, hush! They're going to be just fine.
Ruler: Would you wish to join us on this journey? Perhaps your sister would be more at ease with you awakening her.
Calder: Ha! If Tierrabella sees Monsoona when she first wakes up, it would be a disaster.
Monsoona: Though I hat to admit it, Calder is right. She will certainly wish to see us when she's fully awake, but for now, it is best you journey on your own.

Goal 8
Thurston: There it is, my liege! Look at that!
Ruler: This is an incredible sight... I don't think I've seen anything as old as this temple.
Thurston: As you feared, my liege, the darkness is here and surrounds this place.
Ruler: It is good that we are here to help. Hopefully the earth spirit here won't be too mad with us waking her...

Goal 9
Thurston: The darkness has already claimed thi stemple, my liege.
Ruler: This is why we have seen the toxins around our realm... It wasn't just our realm that was ill... the earth itself was sick. We thought the darkness was spreading to the earth temple, I hope the earth spirit inside is all right. There's only one way for us to find out!

Goal 10
Earth Spirit: You saved me... but you are just a child?
Ruler: We come from the Glimmerwoods... the darkness was in our land as well. We were sent by your siblings, Monsoona and Calder. We followed clues left behind by the toxins and it led us to them. They feared that the darkness had encroached on your temple as well.
Earth Spirit: Interesting... I am glad my siblings had your help. My name is Tierrabella, and this is the Sublunaral Temple. It is my home. The darkness had claimed it and had trapped me in slumber. By the time I realized what was happening, it was too late. The last think I remember was the darkness closing in upon me... but I can tell you were meant to be the one to free me from this curse.
Ruler: How can you tell?
Tierrabella: Oh child, there is much beyond your yound eyes that I can see.

Goal: An Elemental Mystery
Monsoona: Teirrabella, I'm so glad you're alright!
Tierrabella: I've missed you all... yes, even you, Calder.
Calder: The feeling is mutual, sister. I am glad we are reunited.
Tierrabella: It is all thanks to this kind child... but *who* exactly are you?
Ruler: Me? I'm just... well, I'm just the ruler of this realm.
Tierrabella: You're not just anything, child. There is something truly special about you, I can tell. Darkness and its cohorts cower at the sight of you.
Ruler: I wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of my friends, truly.
Tierrabella: Well for you and your friends, there are wondrous adventures that await. Should you ever need anything, our temples are at your service.

Poisoned Map: 13 (Toxified Spirit [Spawn: 8; Defeat: 8; Drop Rate: 133%])
Ivy's Antidote: 1 (Ivy's Hut)
Poisoned Wood: 4 (Toxified Stump, Toxified Tree, Toxic Spirit, Willow Tree [Grow: 5; Chop: 10; Drop: 4])
Poisoned Jewels: 1 (Toxic Spirit, Sparkling Mine, Sawmill [Drop Rate: 150%])

The most time consuming element to gather: Ivy's Antidote! Mithril is second and can be very energy hungry if in a hurry. Others are energy intensive but can be done any time.

Each Wind Chime takes 12 Toxic Sludge (and 10 Silver Ore, 10 Jewels), too. 😥

I had 3 resets upon spawning my first sludge
Monster. Got a Skunkupine at first so followed the quest's goal arrow to a bush, game decided it couldn't handle the toxic monster's existence and kept removing it from my realm and forcing me out. Had to tap that bush thrice! 😂

(Edit: I've since spawned another 2 from other bushes, ahhh the art so good! 🥰 Have 6 Toxified Sludge from defeating 3 Toxic Sludge monsters. 👍

It'll take me another 14 days to earn enough Mithril from my Mithril Dragon. 😥
So happy to be working through this questline though! 😊❤️

Sorry but I didn't grab the prize preview banners, was sure WittyWitch would have them! 😅❤️ )

Fun!! 😍❤️

I've gotten 3 spawned from 20+ bushes (collected from them all twice, also got 6 Skunkupines) if that helps determine spawn rates. 🤔

Good luck!! 😊❤️

CLEAR YOUR KINGDOM OF MONSTERS BEFORE YOU START. The bush will spawn a sludge monster.

It took me just over 300 energy to get 34 maps. Three run through of 56 bushes. The first two run through I always got 2 (sometimes 3) maps. The third run through the monster mostly dropped 1 map.

I am waiting to visit Ivy until asked. You need to visit her for an expansion item (5 Ivy items needed for the first expansion).

I am getting more skunkupines than sludge monsters from the bushes. Annoying during a timed event.

I bought a few extra bushes. Have about 70 out. I got 6 spirits and 3 skunks. Took 106 energy. That means about 18 energy per map. A bit over 200 energy per wind chime, not counting the silver and gems, and we need 8 for the expansion. Fine if you didn't spend all your saved up energy on the monster hunt, but a challenge If you don't have extra energy droppers.

I am getting raspy lady monster per Around 20 bushes. One did drop 3 poopy maps at once though so that was exciting! Also, I like that she gives back some energy.

I dislike using bushes in events as they yield nothing else useful for me. Need a petal trade in the royal exchange. ;).

I absolutely love the animation of the toxified spirit and the magical noise she makes. That is how I look and feel about 1 week out of every month. Ya feel me. ;)

If you haven't started then the monster probably won't spawn. Ivy and top your ruler talk. Then you visit a pond and a Bush. Make sure your kingdom doesn't have a Monster already.

I had a brain fritz moment. It's hard to spawn a sludge when you have a skunkupine among the flowers. I got to the wind chime quest, so, so far it's working. Cute idea to use a tinkling wind chime as a nice type of weapon.:D

It's my bedtime now but I'm happy with my progress thus far. I've collected enough maps for 6 wind chimes, so at least for the first expansion I need "only" 24 more maps. I have to wait until tomorrow morning to collect from my deep mines, but since I'll end up waiting on Ivy's hut anyway, I don't really mind.

I'm not sure if I collected from Ivy before or after finishing the first wind chime, so the only thing I can say for sure is that it drops before any goal asks for it specifically. Have you checked your inventory to make sure you didn't miss it among the different drops from Ivy's hut?

Yes, I've gotten 3 additional Ivy's Antidotes from Toxified Spirits (in addition to the first from Ivy). Keep in mind that I've slain quite a few Spirits as I have enough Poisoned Maps to make the (remaining) Wind Chimes necessary for the first expansion so I just wanted to mention that - while they are rare - they are dropping so keep an eye out for them. This is VERY lucky, or I am the complete opposite of lucky. I got one Ivy antidote form, well, Ivy, and wading though over 100 bushes to get 90 icky males and make 2 chimes, I got... nothin'. The toadstool magic forge is just a plain forge with a toadstool cosmetic skin. It is crafted in the builder's guild when you get the quest. But yes, you can only have two magic forges no matter what they look like.

Will we need to gather from the deep mine? Or is that just for gathering mithril? By the way, I don't have the ability to craft mithril in the magic forge yet, level 41. No idea when it becomes available.

I should have done a better job paying attention. After you expand, you get the building. Once the building opens, you have to do a craft with 1 nugget and 1 golden egg (5minutes). On e finished, it should spawn a wind spirit (unless you have a monster on your board, and then you have to do it again, grumble, grumble). Wind spirit is 99 hits to defeat. Once you defeat, she asks you for tea. Tea takes another 8 ivy potions. Brew time 1 hour. After that, you get the wind spirit with a 12 hour timer (says she drops wisp lanterns and earth wisps). The owl also dropped. 3-hour timer. Don’t know what it drops yet.

Next expansion is easy, 5 expansion permits and 50 regular wisp lanterns, forgot how much $$.

Looking ahead, next expansion with a building in it (part 2) requires 25 of ivy potion and 8 wind chimes and a type of compass that i dont yet know about. I am holding off on starting the second part until I have more ivy potions, so I don’t know how the compass is made.

Finally, for 150 gems, in the store you can get a toxic spirit that gives the poisoned map, ivy potions, poisoned wood and poisoned jewels, which I guess we will need later.

Finally, does anyone else see the creepy dude in the map asking “how you doin’?” Or is that just me? :p

So in order to finish Part 1 it takes atleast 6.5 days because 13 Ivy Antidotes are needed.

Huckle Town, thanks for posting in from inventory!
In your opinion (and everyone please feel free to weigh in), which ones are the most reliable droppers for silver? (If any) e.g. snow castle - rare.

I chopped up a big rock - 20 chips, 2 silver.
Small pile - 5 chips, 2 silver, another small pile, 1 silver
Iron rich rock, 8 chips - 2 silver.

Space wise, I am sticking w the rocks; no timers, no clutter. But if silver is guaranteed, or a good chance, I would take the time to dig it out of storage. Without searchable inventory (searching for drops would be SO COOL !!) and hundreds of pages of inventory, it's too much of a hassle unless the chance is really high.

Thanks everyone! : )

Though I do hope you get better spawns, that was too funny.

My favorite silver droppers
Seraphina the spinx
Jungle throne
Beatrice lemur lady
Sabina's house
Maybe Cleo?

Most of the above characters also drop jewels......peacocks drop jewels fairly regularly, same with Percival bunny

I'm not going very fast. I have one wind chime so far. And my mines are low level. But it's early yet.:)....and I just did a skip of the mine with 20 gems...so I don't have to wait 10 hours for refresh (would be ready middle of the night)

With mithril being needed in quantity, I'm a thinking this will be difficult for lower levels.

Mithril drops should be the same at all levels of the mine. I've never noticed any level having better drops and I've upgraded to L9. As long as you have unlocked mithril it will drop occassionally.

From shrubs, small round bush with small yellow flowers, just make sure you don't have any monster on your board, for toxified spirit.

Thanks. All I am getting is skunks..... I was looking forward to this but it is going to take forever.......

Farmeranneke3. Have you had the goal asking you to chop the bushes?

You will need to put out lots of bushes. It is random but you need to chop quite a lot (like 15 sometimes) to spawn the purple toxic spirit.

Edit: I meant the toxified spirit. The spell check doesn't like it and keeps putting in something else.

Why 6 days when we need 5 Antidotes & can collect from Ivys Hunt every 12 hours? 2.5 by my math or am I missing something?

It'll be completely down to luck if i'll finish the Special Timed Quest or not.

I need 12 more Mithril, I have 1 Mithril Dragon (guaranteed), Kang (unreliable/rare), and my Deep Mine as sources. I chopped the rest of a Dark Cave Formation I had from expanding but no luck. I'm NOT going to buy a 2nd Mithril Dragon for full-price 400 Gems just to make this timed Bonus event... (Could have gotten another 2 Sirens or Armored Lions during the last sale for that price!) annnd a second Mithril Dragon would only help if I purchase it TODAY 😂.
No Knowledge Shard for crafting Mithril yet for me, so I can't put my excess silver to better use.
I'll still play in case I get a few lucky drops from my Deep Mine, but likely won't make the timed portion.

Congrats to the more established Kingdoms! 😊❤️

Oh, technically I have Sir Pigg as a possible Mithril resource as well, but he thinks I need more Vit C and has just been flinging oranges at me. 😂

I'm tired of feeling like I still "have to" fork over $$ if I want to take advantage of these limited-time or 'hard to complete if you're not at the right stage of gameplay' events despite already making a significant investment in my realm. They're designed to make a challenge for longer-time players or at least give purpose to people's maxed-out inventories, and that's okay! I'll just stick to natural progress, keep my head down and enjoy what I already have- And hope I get reeeeally lucky with my drops! 😥❤️

Hope everyone has fun with this awesome new addition to our realms! ❤️

Ivy's antidotes are also a rare drop from defeating the toxified spirits, so if you have loads of energy and are going to gather the map pieces, you might be lucky enough to get extra antidotes... :) (be mindul they might only start dropping once you get to the goal where you collect from Ivy for the first time)

keep checking page 1, especially the inventory section where you can double check info.

Anyone not get any Ivy's antidotes when collecting from Ivy? I'm on part 1-5, where I'm being prompted to visit Ivy's hut. Well I did, it didn't get check off in the progress and no ivy antidotes. Then the game reset and I have to wait another 12 hours to collect from Ivy's Hut. Are the Ivy Antidotes not a guaranteed drop from Ivy's hut?

Have you gotten Renata from the Hidden Forest storyline yet? She's basically a mithril dragon in disguise...

I've had a Mithril Dragon for a long time and since I hardly ever need mithril, I'm usually maxed out on it. But I agree that it's basically impossible to complete the timed portion if you depend on random mithril drops, which are extremely rare. Fingers crossed you get extremely lucky! (Also, how much gems would it be to complete the goal if you are just one or two mithril shy of making it? Might be worth considering, but I haven't checked, so it may also cost an exorbitant amount.)

Not yet! I have Salvatore (Part 1) waiting with his tribute ready to collect while I try to craft enough Forest Compasses for the expansions in part 2. I do have the green Forest Wisp pet from Marketplace, and used my Weekly Alis' collections for this new storyline. Would have to go through all the goals too, Won't make it in time to use her for this event. Oof, thanks for the heads up! ❤️

Ahh yes, I'm looking forward to that. 😆 Thank you!! ❤️ Full Gem price to skip all 35 Mithril is 1750 Gems, so I imagine it would be 50 Gems per skip.
Sheesh, if I was inclined to spend the Eventually-obsolete (might be too strong a word, cutie still) 2nd dragon would be a better deal. 😂 Thanks for the idea, would have been great!

Don?t know what it drops yet.

Next expansion is easy, 5 expansion permits and 50 regular wisp lanterns, forgot how much $$.

Looking ahead, next expansion with a building in it (part 2) requires 25 of ivy potion and 8 wind chimes and a type of compass that i dont yet know about. I am holding off on starting the second part until I have more ivy potions, so I don?t know how the compass is made.

Finally, for 150 gems, in the store you can get a toxic spirit that gives the poisoned map, ivy potions, poisoned wood and poisoned jewels, which I guess we will need later.

Finally, does anyone else see the creepy dude in the map asking ?how you doin??? Or is that just me? :p

ALERT!!! ALERT!!!! First collection from my 2 toxic spirits - they each dropped Ivy?s antidote, poisoned map and glimmer dust.

Monsoons dropped 1075 coins but black flagged on something I missed.

Ancient Owl second collection netted a few coins and earth wisp

I already bought one, waiting on first drop. Yeah, I might get a second if it is guaranteed but need a gem sale first. Need that for B Friday anyways. : )

Edit add: first drops: 3 poisoned maps, nothing else. No guarantee of Ivy drop in other words. Still pretty cool. : )

From what people are reporting, the reward for rushing through part 1 (the owl) doesn't have drops to help with the rest of the storyline. Time for me to slow down and not worry.

I spent an hour collecting from bushes and fighting the toxic spirit. I was lucky enough to get 4 Ivy antidotes. Since then I have fought enough spirits to make 5 wind chimes with no antidote drops.

Have 2 Toxic Spirits and only 1 dropped Ivy's Antidote for my first collection. However, each dropped 3 Poisoned Maps. The Toxic Spirits are a good way to save hoards of energy used to fight the Spirits from the bushes, except they are costly. Their design is also wonderful.

Goal one, accept challenge
Goal 2

Go to tavern
Chat with monsoona (she is a 12 hour timer, so don’t mess that one up like I did)

Goal 3

Clear willow trees
Gather poisoned wood
Find toxified spirit

**I tested a couple of other types of trees, and no drops. So, willows it is.

I recently planted a ton of crab trees. They are my favorite and we often need to chop loads of trees for various items so I am happy to be able to use them and hoping they also drop the toxic wood. Often storyline quests just require the specifically named tree the first time

TeikaEmberstorm

Several people have been putting information on the thread for each of the three quests, including those ahead. Thank you!:love_heart:

From the picture in game, Rewards from the owl, octopus and turtle

Owl - wisp, wisp lanterns, trade ticket, expansion permit (looks like same as siren/royal lion drops?)
Octopus - jewels, gems, mithril, sword
Turtle - simple feast, hearty feast, trade ticket

If I read the first page rightly, each expansion needs 5-6 expansion permits and 50 wisp lanterns, which cannot be pre-loaded. Some of us won't make the time. I'm working at it but realizing I may not. I have two antidote and making my 3rd wind chime. And for a new player I don't see this as doable now. If we wait to trigger the second and third quests while gathering resources, is it possible to get the special animal?

My toxic spirit, 12 hour timer, dropped unknown number of poisoned maps, .......and 2 of one item and 1 of the other but not sure which was more, the mysterious venom or the troll essence.......no Ivy's antidote, but she is a multi-dropper so there is a chance.

Each willow tree drops 2-3 poisoned boards. So, I’m going to say we need A LOT of them. You need 10 boards per water compass, and 21 compasses, so 210 boards. Means roughly 100ish willow trees.

So in order to finish Part 1 it takes atleast 6.5 days because 13 Ivy Antidotes are needed.

There are going to be a lot of people that miss the timed bonus due to this.

Also, let us know if Ivy still drops the antidote if you don't have a goal open.

I think a lot will miss it because of the insane amount of mithril ! Me included! The high hopes i had on completing it in time, are over 😭 i have 21 and really not much to get mithril from besides making it

On which level does the onyx tempel drop mithril? I have lvl 6 ... Wondering if it has any purpose placing it in my kingdom at lvl 6 ?

Does anyone know?

I had the exact same question. Regarding deep mines, SpiritWind said that the level doesn?t change the drops but the Onyx Temple is not a simple resource building so I don?t know. I am keeping mine out because it looks cool and will keep collecting from it.

I rarely check my inventory, but so glad I did. Missing an ivy drop and a crafted windchime. Guessing some kind of blip when I recently collected. Did contact support. I know I will not be able to complete the times portion, but figure the toxic spirits might be more plentiful right now, so chugging along. Good luck, all. Check your collections ♡♡

I get mithril from the second animal from the Hidden Forest quest chain, the elephant. Can't remember her name.

Can you still craft Wind Chimes when you complete Goal 6 (but before you complete Goal 9)?

And more importantly, you do need Wind Chimes after completing Part 1 right?
I thought I read it somewhere, but I can't find the info anymore..

The preview screen with the Octopus, Owl, and Turtle says: Complete a timed challenge for each part of An Elemental Discovery to win an exclusive pet! More pressure.Well I read waaay back in thread that Part 2 needs 25 Ivy potions, so probably best to not start Part 2 until that is built up a lot.
Unless timer is more than 7 days.
IF I'm understanding correctly.

Under pressure! Pressing down on me.

I thought I read it somewhere, but I can't find the info anymore..It's in here somewhere that we will need 8 more wind chimes for Part 2.
Again, that's the way I remember it.

I'm at the tea making goal, (goal 9) and I can still make wind chimes. But I seem to recall that ends when you complete Part 1.

Yes, I read somewhere too that the ability to craft the Wind Chimes ends (temporarily) when you complete Part 1.
Good to know I can still craft them after completing Goal 6. Thanks!

And I found the answer to my own second question in ShibuyaCloth post on page 1.
We need another 18 Wind Chimes to unlock the Earth and Air Elemental Towers.

Like riverly says, I think it's a good idea to not rush completing Part 1, and take the extra time/ energy (if you have it) to prepare for Part 2.
Continue making Wind Chimes and collect from Ivy.

Good luck everyone!
And thank you so much for the help and humor! :love_heart:

Well I also remember that Ivy Antidotes continue to drop even after completing Part 1. So you can still get the owl and make Ivy antidote, but won't be able to make chimes.
I'm just going to build up chimes as much as I can, but complete the timed portion.
I think.
And wait a bit before starting Part 2.
I think.

I have a crazy theory...

That there is actually FIVE elementals!

Air [Monsoona]
Water
Earth
... plus ...
Fire!
Spirit!

These last two temples would fit in the remaining three plots:
M-2 (Fire), N-2, and O-2(Spirit).

Would makes sense if the overall story is to “detoxify” the toxic spirits.

Part 2, Goal 7

Gather spellbound dew
Gather Ivy’s antidote
Forge wind chimes
Forge a water compass
Travel to luminary temple - use 45 spellbound dew, use 25 ivy antidote, use 8 windchimes, use 21 water compass

Notes - still can only get poisoned wood from willow trees. The windchimes disappear when you are not in a task, but ivy still drops antidotes.

So this seems like it’s structured similarly to the earlier “the hidden forest” storyline which gave us the three stone animal totems (Anamnecia, Vimino, and Acidien), and the three creatures (Renata, Salvatore, and Hortensia.). I think it might be a good idea to look up those details...

Here’s my guess:

Part 1:

Antidotes -> newborn sprites
Wind chimes -> forest compasses
Toxified spirits -> forest wisp
Expansion to air temple -> expansion to Acidien
Wind spirit fight -> enraged sloth fight
Tea with wind spirit -> Acidien tribute

Part 2:

Poisoned wood -> forest vines
Water compass -> forest blades
Expansion to water temple -> expansion to Vimino
? -> enraged rhino fight (199 hits)
? -> Vimino tribute (10 forest wisp essence, 35 dragon scales, 30 newborn sprite)

Part 3: (45 day timer on side goal for forest event)

? -> forest ore (sparkling mines and sawmills)
? -> forest lanterns (8 forest wisp, 5 forest vines, 45 forest ore)
Expansion to earth temple? -> expansion to Anamnecia (35 newborn sprites, 10 forest compasses, 10 forest blades, 20 forest lanterns)
? -> enraged elephant fight (299 hits)
? -> Anamnecia tribute (20 forest wisp essence, 25 Mithril, 50 newborn sprite)

And there is also a wealth of information about strategies, potential problems, drop rates, etc in the discussion thread for the hidden forest...

If you are a low level new-ish account, I don't think you will be able to finish the timed part unless you spend some real $ on gems/value packs. I spent some when I was lower level for items I really wanted (Lair of the Beasts was my first, I think), but it may be better to spend a few months building up your resources and coins/coin droppers. I got frustrated with a few events early on; I didn't have daily or weekly energy droppers, I ran out of coin, I didn't have enough resource animals/plants/buildings.... I spent a few months building up my queendom & participated only in Community Events to get energy chests/intermediate prize, or other events to the point of getting a mid prize. Try to get 10-12 farmhouses so you can easily do the Weekly/Weekend Warrior events; I could collect from everything in those 15 minutes of energy & build up my stores of water, eggs, etc. The next thing I did was save enough to get the Tinker Camp to have an extra partial workshop/potion shop. On Monster Hunts, I went for Lorelei's Fountain first.
Hang in there, don't let FOMO get to you! There will always be new cool prizes from the S8 Team!

For those that don't have enough mithril: remember this is a storyline so the quest won't disappear. Also, the reward for finishing in 7 days does NOT give supplies for the rest of the storyline so it doesn't affect you if you can't finish quickly.

I don't know of any quests that give mithril. The mithril dragon is one of my very best gem purchases. I don't know if it is available at the moment. It took repeated gathering for me to get a group as it drops one (guaranteed) each time. Also, deep mines of any level can drop mithril.

You can take as long as you like/need, it's a Main Storyline Event.

Storm8 you’re more than welcome to take this idea if it’s not already part of your grand plan. ;)
So seems I was wrong. :(
This is a replica of The Hidden Forest storyline - so only three parts.
I also assume that this storyline will also be left hanging with no resolution. :(

Storm8 in future can we please get existing storylines completed!
As much as I love all the new storylines and characters there are so many unfinished stories...
The locket is still not open.
Adamir and the elves have the Elven Reliquary - which has been completely unused.
The Search and Betrayal quest was left hanging - at its climax.
The Hidden Forest isn’t finished.
And now this Elemantals story.

Please, pretty please, consider my idea for the Fire and Spirit temples and elemantals as the next main storyline release.
Or a resolution/continuance to the other storylines I mentioned.
Thanks heaps :)x

Seraphina the Sphinx also drops silver and jewels together in 1 go...

Yes, Seraphina is great!
I do not need her drops normally, but in case of event requirements it's good to have good droppers available. (+ extra points because she's a multidropper!)
I'm so happy I made 5 of her :D

My favorite silver droppers
Seraphina the spinx
Jungle throne
Beatrice lemur lady
Sabina's house
Adding Alina to silver drop list.

Most of the above characters also drop jewels......peacocks drop jewels fairly regularly, same with Percival bunny

On page one, ShibuyaCloth has a list of things that drop needed resources.

I keep a sticky note with a list of resources filtered by what I own. If you have them, I'd like to add a few others:

- Emerald Gnome
- Percival (Bunny)
- Paparazzi Gnome
- Seraphina (the Sphinx) already mentioned by Shibuya!
So far I've been able to get 1 silver and 1 jewels from them pretty regularly.

Harvey is a GREAT source of silver (hello, 30min timer!)

Thank you again, everyone for providing all this help and information. It is always appreciated and helps your fellow players. Just want to give a shout out!

The Hidden Forest isn?t finished.
And now this Elemantals story.

Wow, couldn?t agree more. Hoping some of the good people at S8 see this!

Wherever this is, are you sure it requires 5000000 coins?

Sorry I must be going blind, I checked the information you gave me & I don?t have a picture of her there. Maybe that?s a prize I missed. Thanks for answering

Just checked the hub & it says Seraphina is half cat &woman. Don?t see anyone like that so must have missed out on getting her. Sorry for the trouble.

Seraphina the Sphinx is a prize from a previous event (the one where we could upgrade Cleo's Pyramid)
(It's the blue cat lady with tail and wings ;))

.. Sorry for the trouble.

No trouble at all! That's what the forum is for.
I'm sure you were not the only one wondering who this amazing Seraphina is ;)

You're welcome :)
I looked it up and she was a prize in the Tomb Raiders event, but crafting her was optional/ a side goal.
Looking it up did remind me the Desert Tombs drop Jewels too. They do have a long timer (16 hours) and they are big (2x2) so I'm not sure if I'll keep them out.
I have no trouble getting enough Silver, but I'm a bit behind on Jewels.

Oops Sorry yes...1 '0' too many....Should be 500000!!!

For second expansion opened with Laminary (Water) Temple Goal... a plot can be opened next to each Temple!

So the real bottleneck is Ivy’s Antidote.
For Part II we need 25 for the Laminary Temple and 30 more for Calder.
Then for Part III we will need another 85 for the Earth temple and elemental.

The Toxic Spirit for 150gems is highly recommended!
Great drops (usually an Ivy’s Antidote) and beautiful design. :love_heart:
I have one.

I hope to unlock the Luminary Temple before the next event begins.
And then Calder (and the Ancient Octopus) a week after.

Part III will take about 3weeks after that.

Thanks for a great release Storm8! :love_heart:

Good luck everyone.
Keep battling those Toxic Spirits. ;)

The sphinx was crafted in the faerie atrium. They are a super source for jewels and silver.

After the tomb raider event I kept the tomb out. I collected from it over 8 times and exp only. It was verified it can drop silver, but with its rarity I wonder if even collecting from rocks would give a higher yield. If anyone has success I'd love to hear. :)

I did get a black flag from Kang for jewels.

Thanks TeikaEmberstorm! They are much to big to keep out if Jewels aren't even guaranteed after a 16 hour wait...

Wow you have a great memory. I have been having good luck with the blue porkupines for jewels. One is Susie who is on her hind legs with a white bow & the one that has a sneezing fit & of course the jewelry stores. I’m having problems with the spellbound dew. Planted a lot of flowers & rhey aren’t producing. Always something. Good luck

Goal 3 of Part II requires you to Find a Toxified Spirit. So simply find it and do not fight it. Then, when Goal 4 requires you to Defeat a Toxified Spirit, you will have checked off 2 requirements in 2 different Goals by fighting 1 Toxified Spirit. Saves a bit of energy.

There is a great disparity between the drops from the Willow Tree. My first tree dropped 13 Poisoned Wood, and my second tree dropped only 2 Poisoned Wood.

The first drop of 13 Poisoned Wood was a fluke to lull me into a false sense of hopefulness that this wasn't going to be so hard after all. I am getting about 2 to 3 Poisoned Wood from each Willow. Too bad!

The other requirement in Part II, Goal 4 is to Gather Poisoned Maps. I don't know the amount as it was already checked off. Probably 4 for the Water Compass.

I just completed part 1. It took me about 3000 energy.

I have decided to wait a few weeks to start part 2. I have 81 poisoned maps and 4 antidotes. I figure I will wait until I get 30+ Ivy drops then start part 2.

I haven't started part two yet, I am waiting for the the Weekend Warrier so I can collect from about 50 Willow Trees that I am watering.
Also am continuing to craft Wind Chimes.

Thank you for introducing additional main story line content S8; I ran out a while back and it's nice to have something fun to work on in-between events.

If you are between parts 1 and 2, are you sure that the willows will drop what you need? I do not think you would want to wast the weekday warrior if it does not drop.

Not going to get this done. I had been exhausted lately and dealing with migraine. I was doing some other timed events in different games and had been disappointed with Castle Story recently so just starting.
