Hello Fellow Caretakers,
I'm sorry I haven't been able to set up any tournament threads lately and probably will not be in the near future. I have a real life battle with my health and I'm temporarily retiring from tournament play and on the forums. The real life fighting to stay alive is more important right now.
Below is a guide for battling - what elements to use/not use against other elements.
For battles against single element champions, there is no one dragon that will win every time and I say expect losses as frustrating as it may be. All dragons with the exception of ADIPS dragons have a 10% shot of beating high level champions. The ADIPS dragons - Achilles, Diamond, Infinity, Passion, Soccer have a 15% shot. The odds are not in your favor on champs. You just have to find one that works.
There's also a 2nd tier of dragons that may be effective against champs - These are Metal, Dark, Virtue, Gold Horizon and level 15 basic dragons (Air, Fire, Water, Forest, Magic). I consider the beast types - Dire Wolf, Unicorn 2, etc, second tier dragons as well.
Also, all islands are different. Say a Metal beats Warden on one island, it doesn't necessarily mean Metal will beat Warden on another island.
The battle chart below is a good thing to use when choosing your fighters.
