From what I understand it's like this (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

If you're only interested in crafting the (normal) Lemur or Leopard, you only need 50 Fat Grubs.
Fat Grubs drop from Lemurs (spawn) that spawns from ponds and wells.
You can only choose 1 of the two. (they have different drops, see page 1)

If you want to complete the event you have to chop Dead Trees for Jungle Vine.
You need Jungle Vine for all the crafts to upgrade your Jungle Throne.
Dead Trees also (very rarely) spawn Leopards (spawn) that drops Mud, wich you need to craft Sanctuary Boards, wich you need to upgrade your Jungle Throne

Crowning a Ruler and summoning their Enchanted pet (the purple ones that drop Energy) only applies when you finish the event

Once you upgrade to Level 6, this goal appears:


Goal: Crown the Leader
* Choose the leader of the Jungle (Summon the Queen or King to your realm!) 0/1 | You can only choose 1 to craft. The other person will become available in the Market to purchase with gems.
Go to the Junge Grove to make your choice:
* Crown Beatrice, 1 hour | OR
* Crown Beau, 1 hour
Rewards: none


When you've selected your choice of Beatrice or Beau, you get a choice to get the other person while the quest is active.
SW: I chose Beatrice.... so this is the goal I got. If you chose Beau it would be other person and the gem costs are respectively the same for Beatrice and her Enchanted Lemur. Head off to the Market to purchase Beau (250 gems) and the Enchanted Leopard (500 gems).

Guess I have to look more carefully next time. Turned out the pets you can craft with fat grubs are not those that drop energy. They're similar to the monsters that spawn from ponds and dead trees. They don't drop energy either. Now the question is whether you want 2 lemurs or 2 leopards or one of each.

Overgrown Branches also drop from Aspen Trees.
Super handy for when your still working on The Academy Main Story Line (like me)

That we can do Adventures via the Jungle Grove surprised me.
As far as I know this it the first time we can do Adventures form somewhere else than our Castle/ Barracks.
I love the fact that we can continue our normal adventures (and that Golden Apples are required instead of Nuggets or Eggs!)

I love the artwork for this event.
I just hope summoning Beatrice and getting her adorable Enchanted Lemur will be achievable. (Beau and his Enchanted Leopard look awesome too, there really aren't any wrong choices here)

I chopped twenty five trees this morning and no spawns. Last night I did the same thing and no spawns . I have spawned tigers from cows but only had 1 spawn from trees. Also this morning nothing from saw mills. I do not have anything spawned and sitting in my kingdom to stop spawns. Hoping they fix this as others have said the same thing.

Sounds strange for such a CS fan as me - but this is probably the first time ever I don't like the look of both main characters. Neither selfish Beau nor scandalous Beatrice, neither their look nor their speeches, I find them fake and annoying. Combined with extraordinarely poor drops it makes this event for me not as much fun as usual. Well, maybe my frustrating experience from the previous event played its role (I did 20+ adventures to get the Denise and her drops are useless) and made me fed up with CS for some time. However, the Groves, Lemur and Leopard look nice. I got confused with all those enchanted craftable lemurs/leopards vs usual craftable lemurs/leopards, but that must be the fault of my insufficient Englsh.
Good luck everyone! I'll do this event lazily and maybe will step out at some point, but that is fully ok for me, at least I'll save my nerves. After all, our short northern summer is for getting charged with energy, not for setting endless timer for no-drops-Sawmills and spending tons of energy on getting nothing. By the way, my rate for that special branch needed for the adventure is approx 100 chops to one branch plus freezes and drawbacks of the game. Hah, who would keep up the motivation in such circumstances?...

Usually I would encourage players to go for it, but I agree with everyone that the drops are abnormally bad.
If you do decide to quit, you could still consider crafting the (normal) Lemur or Leopard.
I have a better spawn rate with my well's than with my ponds.

From what I understand it's like this (please correct me if I'm wrong!)

If you're only interested in crafting the (normal) Lemur or Leopard, you only need 50 Fat Grubs.
Fat Grubs drop from Lemurs (spawn) that spawns from ponds and wells.
You can only choose 1 of the two. (they have different drops, see page 1)
Craft/spawns available if you reach Goal 5.

If you want to complete the event you have to chop Dead Trees for Jungle Vine.
You need Jungle Vine for all the crafts to upgrade your Jungle Throne.
Dead Trees also (very rarely) spawn Leopards (spawn) that drops Mud, which you need to craft Sanctuary Boards, which you need to upgrade your Jungle Throne

Crowning a Ruler and summoning their Enchanted pet (the purple ones that drop Energy) only applies when you finish the event

I am mainly sitting this out due to event fatigue. Would love to have the enchanted beasts especially, but the low drop and spawn rates reported put me off. First time I am skipping since the mantistorm event Over a year ago when I was working at an event 12 hrs a day.

There was an event a short while back where the energy was 400 a day estimate, and it felt like an underestimate.

The art work is AWESOME and I will miss these lovely pets; I would have gone for lemurs. LOVE lemurs. But artwork so awesome can't make wrong choice.

All day collecting from sawmills and nothing at all. This is so we forget the pain that collecting from ivy is. Prizes are really for those who haven?t yet finished some of the long time story events.

I had enough stored energy and a bit of free time, so I did all the dead tree chopping basically in one go. I had absolutely no problem getting enough leopards and in fact parked a monster once I had enough mud. I don't remember how many jungle vines a still needed at this point, but I know it wasn't close at all.

I feel like chopping so much at once gives a better picture of the real drop rate. I did notice that sometimes it took forever for a leopard to appear, but other times they were quite frequent. I hope it levels out for everyone, but unfortunately when there's chance involved, they'll always be some with better overall luck than others.

And I agree, the drop rate for tough ropes from cows is abysmal. But we don't need all that many, so I figure I'll get there soon enough.

No, the referenced post by SW was for those players whose posts (on the dialogue/story of the current goal line) were deleted and directs them to the Forum Dispute area of the forum if they felt the need to continue said discussion.

There's nothing we can do about the drop/spawn rates for events, it's all random - sometimes there will be a long period of no spawns and other times they spawn every other hit. For this current event specifically, the team is unlikely to do anything either since it's not an actual bug just a very rare spawn. Hope this helps clarify things for you.

So in between waiting for sawmills and Ivy, I'm chopping dead trees and collecting from ponds. The leopards spawn is hit or miss, but I think we'll have enough time to get what we need..
And the occasional collecting from my cows and bushes should give us enough too, seeing as we have to wait on sawmills and Ivy. At least that's the way it seems right now. But I've only just be***.

On top of that I started the craft for the plant that needs the Ivy item and I come back later to find that the craft was not there (Game Reset). The cow drop rate is awful. If I finish great if not that is ok with me. I am over working tirelessly on these events for items that have extremely rare drops or only give 2-3 energy.

I agree that the drop and spawn rates are abyssmal but we also don't need as many of the dropped items so I think that the ratio is still the same as in other events. For example, according to SC and RK, we need 24 of the Mud but the leopard spawn rate is absolutely terrible. I think that psychologically we would feel better if we needed 96 Mud instead but the leopards spawned 4 times more often.

Watch my tone change as the time passes and I am not making enough progress ...

I can hit 3-6 ponds and spawn a lemur no problem but Ive chopped over 100 dead trees for 2 leopards? If every time I check in and burn through my 40+ energy (depending if an energy spawner is ready) chopping dead trees to get zero leopards Im going to quit this event. Theres no way Ill get enough mud to make the sanctuary boards needed. And Im a die hard who will usually struggle through to the very end of an event hoping I can pull off the final prize. I cant buy traps because I accidently spent all my gems making purchases I didnt intend the past 2 weeks from them not having a purchase confirmation and have hardly any coins left to keep buying dead trees because of the huge costs of opening up land plots. This isnt fun right now. Somebody please fix it.

Pardon my ignorance if I missed it somewhere in the forums but is there a benefit to chopping the jungle tree? Does it spawn anything? The information on it it sounds more like a rock than a tree which is pretty cool in itself

Another disappointing event for me. Sadly. The last few events with castle adventures have sapped all my gold nuggets and have not given me any prizes. So I was already bummed out about Denise from the last event. And now, the drop rates...I cannot. It is just too frustrating. And seriously, ivys hut again???! Ugggg. Please don’t stop because of the Mud.
I know it’s frustrating, BUT.. we only need 22 total. That’s 22 in 14 days.
So if you spawn 2 (And sometimes 1) Leopards a day you’re good.
We are just starting this event, don’t be dicouraged already.

This is not an event where it matters how fast you reach the next upgrade.
The Jungle Throne doesn’t drop nessesary goodies where you have to reach 1000 for a prize.
The only thing that matters is that you complete the Goals within the 2 weeks.
And you have a lot of energy to spent in 2 weeks. Bad luck can change into good luck.

Let's see, I started the event at almost precisely 2.5k energy and ended last night at 650, having collected approximately 250 new energy in the meanwhile. So I'd used up 2,100 energy for all the dead trees plus the flowers from bushes and somewhere between 20 and 25 tough ropes.

To me the ropes are the most annoying part, to be honest. They seem to take somewhere between 7 and 10 energy each, which is ridiculous, even if we don't need all that many in total.

That is what I came on here to check! Three collections of two sawmills and nothing! Ivy is at least a sure drop! Losing interest. Work, spend gems and the drops from finished items are unimpressive

Let's see, I started the event at almost precisely 2.5k energy and ended last night at 650, having collected approximately 250 new energy in the meanwhile. So I'd used up 2,100 energy for all the dead trees plus the flowers from bushes and somewhere between 20 and 25 tough ropes.

To me the ropes are the most annoying part, to be honest. They seem to take somewhere between 7 and 10 energy each, which is ridiculous, even if we don't need all that many in total.

Thanks! I’m spawning one every 30ish trees which means I will use up around 3300 just in chopping until the spawn rate changes. I don’t want to quit, but I’m not feeling too hopeful at this point.

I have received 2 Ivy brews and 2 muds from the 4 hr adventure (probably 6 sent). I have one returning in 2 hours and 1 more to send.

I have chopped all my dead trees, collected from Ivy, and only collected from bushes and cows 2 times more than I needed to upgrade to level 2. I decided to get all my vines, send out as many adventures as I could with the flowers from the dead trees (looks like I got about 45 total). Once my last 2 adventures return, then I will know how many of each item I need. Not needing to upgrade the throne quickly helps with this strategy.

Okay, I decided to measure the spawn rate of the leopards by chopping 20 dead trees (100 energy). Here’s what happened. I spawned 3 leopards over the first 4 trees (20 energy), then nothing for the next 19 trees (95 energy) then another leopard (I actually went through 115 energy).

So that’s 4 leopards over 115 energy meaning a spawn rate of about 3.5%. If we extrapolate it seems that we’ll need about 650 energy to get all 22 muds.

Agreed. I think this is a great event. We have to hit many different parts of the kingdom - cows, ponds, wells, sawmills, grow and chop trees (Acers for those of us still working on the Academy goals), dead trees. The spawn rates are bad but we need fewer of the items. We are not desperately trying to upgrade the throne to hit a collection goal. I think the team really did a bang up job on this event. It’s certainly disheartening to burn through 90 energy without getting a leopard but overall I think it’s a nice well thought out event.

The leopards have practically disappeared from my queendom ::sad face:: I must’ve chopped 30 dead trees before I got one.

I know in the past they usually increase the drop rates as people have complained but I don’t think I have ever seen it this bad and the energy packs don’t have the “mud”

I got my 50 fat grubs pretty quickly. All I need now is 8 more then I will be done with ponds.
Then I have to figure out where I go to choose. I have an adventure going right now.
Also I recommend going on those adventures. I've gotten a lot of the needed upgrade items.

I finished that one even before I was at L50 but in that horrible zone between upper requirements and a mature realm. It was HARD WORK. But it WAS do-able. Hope this helps.

There wasn't a full per day estimate for that one, but it certainly seemed/seems on the high end.

No one way to play, as the choices in this event demonstrate. Including to do it or not. Do the event or not, leopard or lemur, you can only win if you do what pleases you in the game.

I know it?s frustrating, BUT.. we only need 22 total. That?s 22 in 14 days.
So if you spawn 2 (And sometimes 1) Leopards a day you?re good.
We are just starting this event, don?t be dicouraged already.

This is not an event where it matters how fast you reach the next upgrade.
The Jungle Throne doesn?t drop nessesary goodies where you have to reach 1000 for a prize.
The only thing that matters is that you complete the Goals within the 2 weeks.
And you have a lot of energy to spent in 2 weeks. Bad luck can change into good luck.

Well said. I had come to check my about the leopards because I was beginning to think my dead trees were broken. But it is actually early in the event And we don?t have to complete the build in the three or first four days.

The design of this event reminds me of a Lisa Frank coloring book. Very colorful. The choosing though- why??! I don?t like to choose. I want all the shiny things.

I actually like the set amount of energy since the game often glitches causing me to lose energy and also many times when it?s over I have only 8 or so energy instead of the 40 I am supposed to have. Another thing, sometimes something comes up and I can?t tap on stuff.

I think part of why the spawn rates seem so bad is because the dead trees only take 5 chops and usually the things we have to chop take 20. I also love we have a different building to run the adventures on so it frees up the other adventures. Also happy there isn’t a special item that is an extremely rare drop. The ONLY thing I am not happy with is only getting to choose one but often we can buy the other with gems.

I honestly don't think you need to worry about the leopards. You have to chop so many of the dead trees anyway that you'll get enough leopards even with the dire spawn rate.

Hang in there players. Don’t give up. There is plenty of time. I’m a low level base with not a lot of energy sources and on the last goal now. Sending the jungle adventure really helps to stay ahead of the sometimes frustrating drop rates. I have been consistently getting mud and planks and the occasional ivy drop from the adventure. The magic forge is a crafting building you purchase in the market, then build. You need to have Ivy’s hut built. And there is a jungle grove in the market that allows you to run adventures for supplies.

S8 - honey trees don't seem to be dropping the branches needed for the Jungle event. If other trees besides crab apple are dropping, shouldn't honey trees drop, too?

It was a tough choice, but I decided to go with the (normal) Lemur.
I just couldn't resist the prospect of Beatrice surrounded by 2 Lemur's (normal + enchanted) + I liked the drops of the Lemur a bit better than those of the Leopard.

I'm really enjoying this event.

Please don't quit people. The drops are enough to get you through.
We still have 10 days and that is A LOT OF TIME!
Intermediate progression is not as important as normal. (a.k.a. not important at all)
If you can be extremely unlucky, you can be lucky or even extremely lucky with your drops the next day.
Keep chopping Dead trees, collect from Sawmill and Ivy and keep going on Adventures!
Try not to get to frustrated.

P.s. I'm not having very much trouble with the Sturdy boards (I getting about 1 every 4 collections) but if you are, you could try putting the Sawmills into storage after collecting and do something else for a couple of minutes before putting it back on your board. (don't forget to put it back)
Of course this doesn't guarantee any change in drops, but what's the harm in trying?
I used this method with the Troll Camp several events and for me it seemed to help.

P.s. Once you've chosen which (normal) Pet you want to craft (Lemur of Leopard), they are both for sale in the shop for 125 Gems each.
(and the Lemur makes an adorable sound when you tab her, I love these little extra's!)

Are you sure you're not maxed on overgrown branches? They max out at 99...

If yes, try force-close the game and starting it back up.

Have you tried force closing your game. Often this can help if the upgrade option is not coming up. Or maybe try clicking the Go button from the goal itself to see if that makes any difference. If neither of those work, I wonder if storing and then placing the throne again might work (can't remember if anyone has said this has worked in the past for this sort of issue ) ...

They have a longer timer, but I seem to get better drops rates from them than my normal, black-and-white cows. I own 11 of them (from various adventure drops, never bought one) and I often - though obviously not always - get a tough rope within the first three cows I collect from. I then stop collecting and wait for all my cows to be ready again because I irrationally believe that I get more ropes per energy that way, but that's probably just superstition, lol!

And I forgot about the Faerie Garden dropping seeds until yesterday even though I checked the Hub early on for seed droppers. Oh well is anyone else's brain not functioning 100% lately? Lolol

Yes, I am doing the "Explore the Jungle" thingie, three times a day. That's been the only way to get ahead on the Ivy drops. But what's been frustrating me is that the Sturdy Boards haven't dropped from the last two trips I made into the jungle too :mad:

The drops were horrendously bad and after many player complaints they gave some of the required item I think it was called bottled polish or something like that. I still need ten of the sawmill item. I was feeling pretty anxious about the boards drop from the sawmills, but I have got three so far today which finally allowed me to upgrade to level 4 (and I still can make one more collection tonight). On Saturday, I had no drops (but I only collected three times), and I had one day with a single drop from 2x4=8 collections.
If you have really had no drops in five days (about 40 collections), then that's probably not just bad luck and I would send a ticket, but there will be zero-drop days.
We need 22 in total; I've got 11 so far, and we are not half way through the event. I think I'm right on track.

The sawmill boards are very slow to drop. I decided not to make (or upgrade) any of the crafts until I had the materials for all 20 (I upgraded to level 2). I am at 15 boards, Ivy has almost caught up, I have 12 of the Ivy brew.

I'm almost done with all the Flowered Vines and Sanctuary Boards, and if I can make 22 each of those in 1 week, you can make your still required 13 each (5+8) in 8 days too.
Just remember to not forget Ivy and the Sawmill. And go on adventures if you can.

Depending on the device you use to play, you may have an event icon on the right hand of your screen that shows you time left. But the main way to see time left is your goal book - there should always be a timer on the bottom left of the goal itself in your goal book. If it's covered by the "Progress" announcement just wait a second or two and it will fade away and reveal the timer once more.

I find the in-game timers to be the most accurate: all of us forum users are in different time zones so time left can vary enough to confuse things but your goal book is synced with your current time zone which eliminates any time conversion issues.

(I still have not crafted the regular animals and both are available for me to choose. I?m assuming I craft one and the other will no longer be craftable, but may be purchasable)

Edit.......I’ve been given a quest to summon Beau and his leopard. It sends me to the market as mentioned above. So whether you choose king or queen, their pet seems to be the only one you can craft (via adventure in the jungle grove) but the other pair is available for gems

Early on we get a quest/task requiring 50 grubs (spawn lemurs from ponds) to craft (via adventure in the jungle grove) a plain colored (non-enchanted) leopard or lemur.

Finish the main task and choose one ruler
You may then do a 4 hour adventure to get the item to adventure for their specific enchanted colorful pet (does not use the same supplies as the main adventure).
And then a new task appears asking if you want to summon the other ruler or the other ruler’s enchanted pet. Clicking the summon button within the task for either sends you to the market where the ruler is 250 gems and their enchanted pet is 500.

So we are able to get one plain pet, one ruler and their specific enchanted colorful pet via adventure in the jungle grove. Then we may buy the other ruler and their specific enchanted colorful pet in the market for gems.

I’m sorry for saying craft. I tend to think of things I gather, push a button to make then wait time as crafting.

Thanks, senior moment, only have been playing since May after love shack (yes worst timing lol) I knew it had time of event just had a lapse of memory. I’ve been sick lately and sleeping a lot so may take advantage of lowest gem sale to speed things along. Better for money and less than package

No, you can't craft the other person and their related animal. I've put notes on page 1 already about this ealier today. Once you put either Beau or Beatrice on to craft, the other person and their animal is available in the market for gems. I'm re-ordering all of the separate goals as I move through them. So keep checking page 1 in the goals post. ;)

Yes all this time I thought the enchanted pet was from the adventure! I have waaaay more jungle leaves than I need and I?m all done with the sanctuary boards. I just need 7 more sanctuary flora and 5 flowered vines to upgrade to level 6. So I have been chopping dead trees wasting energy :(. Oh well at least I got some items from the adventures.

I don?t quite understand bc I thought you had to win the enchanted pet from doing the adventure and the regular pets were the only ones you can craft? If we are able to craft an enchanted pet after crafting beau or Beatrice that would be awesome bc it takes so much energy to get all 5 leaves to even do the adventure.

You won?t need to chop so many trees. There is a spread sheet in the beginning of the thread I find helps me understand how many items I need to gather. I?ve just finished upgrading the throne to level 6. It?s frustrating to use energy and find you didn?t need to. But I feel sure you still have plenty of time to finish. I edited my post on page 18 but will include the changes here.

Early on we get a quest/task requiring 50 grubs (spawn lemurs from ponds) to craft (via adventure in the jungle grove) a plain colored (non-enchanted) leopard or lemur.

Finish the main task and choose one ruler
You may then do a 4 hour adventure to get the item to adventure for their specific enchanted colorful pet (does not use the same supplies as the main adventure).
And then a new task appears asking if you want to summon the other ruler or the other ruler?s enchanted pet. Clicking the summon button within the task for either sends you to the market where the ruler is 250 gems and their enchanted pet is 500.

So we are able to get one plain pet, one ruler and their specific enchanted colorful pet via adventure in the jungle grove. Then we may buy the other ruler and their specific enchanted colorful pet in the market for gems.

I?m sorry for saying craft. I tend to think of things I gather, push a button to make then wait time as crafting.

This is the same thing that happened with the Sparkling Mines in the Piggy Event (I don't remember the exact name). The drops were horrendously bad and after many player complaints they gave some of the required item I think it was called bottled polish or something like that. I still need ten of the sawmill item. This is just not right. What happened to events being enjoyable instead of tirelessly working. Not giving up on the event but sometimes I feel like it.

I have been playing less frequently with recent events and sometimes just skipping them entirely. I have been playing since 2012 or earlier. Spending more time on games which bring more enjoyment.

The (normal) Lemur is not animated (though it does 'breath' and the tail moves a bit + it makes a super cute little sound when you tab them), and I think the Enchanted Lemur will be the same, only with different colors and drops.
I love how the Leopard looks, but in the end I got really excited about (the prospect of) seeing Beatrice with her Lemur ears and tail, together with 2 of her beloved Lemur's.
I slightly like the Lemur drops more than the Leopard ones, but my choice was mainly based on their looks.

I have chopped a lot of dead trees and I am having a hard time getting the leopard and the rope from the cows. At this rate I will not be able to finish this one. Anyone else having trouble?

The ropes from cows are slow to gather. If I were to guesstimate, I had to harvest about 8-10 per rope? I stored some animals and bought new calves and fed them to adulthood. I had about 15 cows out.

I didn't have a problem with leopards spawning. I wish I could share the mud. I had 15 left over. I spent the majority of energy chopping dead trees for the event. We have to chop a LOT of dead trees. I didn't have a lot of energy producers and my full energy bar has 40 energy. I checked back every 2-3 hours and worked resources in waves, either chopping all trees, or feeding cows, letting them reset and feed again. I didn't get a leopard every 40 energy tree cutting session. If your harvest sounds much less productive than my description, you may wish to submit a ticket. I hope you complete the event. We still have 6 days. Don't give up. :)

I thought we could choose either. I wanted the Lemur but went with Beau he reminded me of a cross between Mick Dundee (fictional) and Steve Irwin (real) I am doing the adventure now and going to sleep but I was thinking of spending gems for Beatrice anyway I just really wanted the lemurs and the people I really didn’t have a preference.

I think there is.
Even though I have the 'Enchantment' from the 'Find the Enchantment' Adventure, I can go on another Adventure.
BUT having 2 of the Enchantments (if you would even get a second one) isn't gonna help if you only have 1 place you can craft with it (the Jungle Grove)
Once you summon your Enchanted Pet of choice, I assume the craft/ summon option is gone (will know for sure in 1 hour)

Edit : Or did you mean when you buy them in the market? I think the limit is still one, because you can only purchase the Enchanted Pet you didn't summon. You can't buy an extra of the one you already have.

Scroll down in the Jungle Grove building; you don't do the top line journey with the golden apple. You should see something that only uses 5 (light yellow) essences. I too was confused about that, mine didn't show up immediately. I found it by going through the Goal Book I think.

Maybe you're just maxed out on a lot of stuff?
You only get 1 'black flag message', regardless of how many things dropped/ you're maxed out on.

You can craft (and later collect) the normal Pets in the Jungle Grove (you can only choose 1).
It has nothing to do with your Jungle Throne.

I don't think you have to 'build' or craft it when you purchase it/ spent the 500 Gems. You just get it.
