**Note** Many of us have experienced times when we completed an Act but wasn't awarded the necessary prize that was to enable us to advance to the next Act or Chapter. I've found that the one thing I did that helped me avoid this is to ALWAYS force-close and restart the game BEFORE I start doing any of the tasks for the Acts.

Let me know of any errors or omissions, especially in the task list and prizes.

It only counts if you take from the original breeding den it will not count if you are doing it from the purple roost

No it’s only Tales that it doesn’t count and when it says to breed certain types of dragons it will only register from the den!

OMG - I didn’t know about types of dragons only working in Den Original. No wonder I rarely manage to breed the required dragon. I have only one pure Rainbow dragon and was wondering what rainbow combo to use in Purple den when it is free - obviously it’s not a problem.

What EXACTLY do you mean when you say "does not count?" Please select from the list below:


I tried to breed the Frilly dragon many times but can't get it
I am not being awarded any "Birthday Surprises" points for breeding
I am breeding for a bingo task and it is not "completing"
I breed two dragons but when I collect, the egg does not appear in the nest
I am not getting any points for my Leaderboard
Some other issue ... (please explain fully what you are trying to get)

You can use any den to breed dragons, it is the set tasks in Tales like collect birthday parcels from breeding or the task of breeding certain dragons together that you must use the original breeding den!

I don't seem to have this issue with the purple Breeding Roost. I've always been able to carry out the tasks required by the Dragon Tales events interchangeably with the Breeding Den :confused:

I did. I checked the prizes and having come in within the 11 to 100 range, should have been awarded the 250K food prize. The pop-up results did show that I had won the 250K food prize but it just wasn't credited into my food bank.

But on the topic of the the breeding not being recognized, it seems that it is also affecting the regular Breeding Den. DidiDane just posted in another thread that her/his game wasn't recognizing the breeding in the regular den.

I'm not sure how many players in this forum actually read the last NOTE in the posts I make for Dragon Tales, but in it, I advise players to ALWAYS force quit and restart DS before they work on any of the task for Dragon Tales. This simple procedure will help to eliminate not only the missing-token-crafting issue but 90% of the other issues too.

I have same issue. Have finished breeding twice (from original den and using gold!) but it does not work!
Have reported it to support BUT they are on weekend break and will not see my complaint until Monday.
I am a bit annoyed with this 
And yes I DID force close before doing anything else!

Now I am thinking of spending the 30 gold on finishing the task .... but if I do... will I still be rewarded the prize? If not there is no way for me to finish this event as the reward is needed for crafting the Coolwind Dragon.

There is an issue Chapter 2. Act 3 of 4.

It is not completing the act when you transfer your dragon from the den to the nest. I've forced closed and still not working. Based on posts above, it's broken. And I'm stuck on the act now.

I also have the issue with the game not accepting my breeding for chapter 2, neither from regular nor purple den. And yes, I have forced closed both before and after. Playing on IOS

Strange. While waiting for another breed to finish, I won a battle, which oddly triggered the completion of the breeding goal. Unfortunately it didn't reward the crafting part, so stuck again. Of course I've forced closed again but no effect.

I think I will take screenshots, pay for the missing part and then create a ticket hoping to be reimbursed. The timing is very unfortunate though with weekend and a sale :(

COLLECT BIRTHDAY SURPRISES FROM BREEDING
Ok so like frostyForest34 and all the other players above, I have also bred 2 dragons - Ambassador and Poison - and received NO birthday surprises. Obviously we cannot progress to next chapter until this task is completed. Unfortunately Tournament Dragon I am up against is Strength which has defeated my L15 champs 4 times now so I have been unable to get the birthday surprises from here either. Why do these glitches always seem to happen at weekends.
AND BTW, I did close down before sending egg to nest. The worst thing is I wasted gold to speed up one of these dragons so I could get started on Coolwind.

In case it helps others, I had trouble with Chapter 2 Act 3 of 4 Collect birthday surprises from breeding and didn’t receive any credit from breading but I did receive credit from winning in the arena, but had to win 3 battles to pass the act as you only get 1 birthday surprise per win and needed 3 to pass the act.

It only counts if you take from the original breeding den it will not count if you are doing it from the purple roost

Three tournament battle victories and I finally got the Coolwind Dragon.
Still worries though because next time we need Birthday Surprises to progress I will be much further through the tournament and victories will be more problematic as opponents get up to Level 20.

Please Storm 8 - please fix the glitch affecting the breeding dens.

The way Tales works is that each Chapter begins at 3:00 AM - 3:30 AM (EST). If you don't finish a Chapter, it will stay where it is and if the next day has already passed, the next chapter will start immediately. For example, if you are on Chapter 5, Act 3 (collecting Birthday Surprises from breeding) on Monday night but don't collect them until Tuesday morning, as soon as you do then Chapter 6, Act 1 will immediately start. Hope this makes sense, but if you need any further info, just let us know here :D

I have little hope in the tournament either as my strongest dragons are common L10, but I'm still giving it a go.

The game is a bit frustrating but the community seems lovely. Another question - is the game always so busy - i.e. bingo, event, tournament, time-limited goals all going on at once?

You are so right that sometimes "Common" dragons are anything but!!!

As for the pace of the game, it is never ending unfortunately. As soon as one event ends another one starts and Bingo is always ongoing as far as I know (I just refuse to participate in that madness!). The event sequence is as follows: World Event / Leader Board Event / Dragon Tales Event.

Can I have this link too Please? I returned to playing Dragon story after almost 2 years...lockdown gave me hours to burn but the game still crashes like crazy...events don't work like they should. I waited 2 days for my carved Dragon to proceed, it did late last night suspiciously couple hours after raising issue. So I'm playing catch up and trying not to spend too much gold...i did that for the Strongshine Dragon(I had the hidden idol egg but didnt get 2nd blue egg so couldn't collect points every 2.5 hrs I got just under 24k tokens and needed 25k! I raised a ticket but they haven't done anything, they don't care. I really think I would have got it if I could have collected tokens/points as I was using boosted breeding) so I'm not spending gold like that again ?20 and still no Dragon, I don't think customer services care, I play angry birds 2 and their support team are fab! maybe its time to try something new, whereby you can try and breed every dragon, and the game doesnt have the technical problems this one has

Valkyrie, I have no inside information about the game. I have no idea if videos will be coming back or not. I am assuming that you must play on Android. I have an iPhone and then some sort of cheap droid. I still get videos on the IOS device, so it hasn't really affected me. It's a pain not getting them on the 'droid anymore, though, because what I liked to do was play my games on there while watching Apple TV on the iPhone.
I am finding that it is too time-consuming and too expensive to keep up with 4 islands, so i might retire my oldest one, although it is the one that has the most champion dragons accumulated. Maybe it will be my tournament island and the others will continue to pursue events.

So I forgot that the lovely 12 hour timer for a marble key was probably going to reset for 24hrs when the boost "sale" was over, & now I am behind on my Tales crafting.

No big deal ... get a head start on getting the pieces needed through questing. Obviously, would like to start with the one that I will need first.

However -- I don't know what the Rainbow Light Show requires, & since the Craft building is busy, I cannot look it up. I know the totals needed (THANK YOU!), but does anyone know what each of the individual crafts need?

Hello, Yes, I got the icon, too. Boosts, of course, do not show up in storage. It showed a picture of 2 evolution boosts, but it seemed to be random boosts. On one account I got an evolution boost and a breeding boost. On another account I actually did get 2 evolution boosts. I think it just randomly assigned boosts to either breeding, hatching, evolving, or growing food. It was only the 2x boosts, so it only takes one hour off, which isn't all that helpful. I assume that it was supposed to "compensate" us for the hassle of our breedings not being recognized when the Tales first started.

You did the right thing by sending in a support ticket as they are the only ones that can help you with this. I hope they get back to you quickly and restore the missing Cuddly Dragon.

I'm not sure that the random advert pop-ups are the source of this issue as I never get them; perhaps its because I play through a VPN. However, I can view videos to speed up the battles in the tournaments without issues, so my gut feeling is that the adverts and videos do not, in themselves, cause the problems.

The ONE THING that I have noticed WILL cause such issues is synchronization errors. AND, I have to add that your internet connection does not cause these errors.

A synchronization error occurs when the current game state on your device does not get correctly synchronized to the server for whatever reason. Then, after a certain amount of "disconnect" when the client and server reestablish the connection, the server "detects" a discrepancy and does a rollback to a state it perceives as before the "discrepancy" occurred.

In "theory," what happened to you in your description is that when you completed your task (act), the server properly synched the state of your event status. Still, at some point after that, it did a rollback due to a random synchronization error. What happened to me in the past when this happened was that the server would recognize that I completed the Chapter, but would not restore the count of the required item to its proper level. The only way I could fix this was to write in to support; as such, I would complete Acts 1, 2, 5, 6, and 7 as quickly as I could and immediately submit a ticket if I noticed any discrepancy.

I planted seven farms worth of Eliteleeks last night for a Bingo task, checked in on it thirty minutes later to be sure it took and retired for the night. Woke up in the morning to seven empty farms!

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection and I won't waste the time of the support team asking them to restore my seven missing collections of Eliteleeks; they already have too much on their hands at the moment :(

Trying to start act 5 chapter 7, craft your guidance dragon, but do not have enough ?cuddly? dragons!!! Have done all the acts and chapters without even using gold to skip any! Even paid 200 gold to buy a freaking frilly dragon after a million 15 hour fails. These stupid pop up automatic adverts are causing synch errors and this is probably another one!! I have had to redo acts over so many times now because of it.
I cant attach photos for some reason? I sent a report to support with attached photos sure hope they get to it today! So frustrating in a timed event!
EDITED to add: thank goodness they got back to me and fixed it! I wish they would change these advertisements that cut into the middle of game play! Have them right at the beginning instead, so you have to watch it before you wven start playing, if we have to have them.

This game has *****ed me out of cool wind dragon for 3 days even though. I had the items to make it. Then thevitems disappeared. Customer Support told me tonforce close my game. That did not help also it put me behind 3 days. Then it wasn't showing the items I made during the Quests. SO because of their mistakes in the story. I won't be able to finish. They should have to put me where I should be in the Quest. But of course why would they do the right thing.This is not the first time it has happened in this game. This is getting old.

I don't seem to have this issue with the purple Breeding Roost. I've always been able to carry out the tasks required by the Dragon Tales events interchangeably with the Breeding Den :confused:
I was having problems akso and theybtold me my game game was working properly. Then how could you havecso many problems with it?
