* Rainbow Fragments are all capped at 1. They will take only 1 or 2 collections to get them.
These are the locations of the Drawing/Clue Fragments below.

Find the First Corner (Trawl the Ponds!)
Find the Second Corner (I think I smell Tomatoes!)
Find the Third Corner (Check the Cows - but don't tip them!)
Find the Fourth Corner (Plant in a Log? More like Clue in a log!)

I'm working on Goal 6 & 7, so far it's exactly the same format, items found in all the same places.

The 4 corners of the A Clouded Clue side goal are: First Corner from sawmill, 2nd from white trillium, 3rd from jeweller, 4th from small rock pile and we need 2 x The First Rainbow and 2 x The Second Rainbow to investigate the rainbow in the potion shop which gives the Uni-Pig as the reward.

Before I go reporting a possible bug is anybody else having trouble with their music? The background music comes and goes, the ding ding when you chop etc is still there, but no music, annoying if a monster turns up. This started last night with WW. Music on all other games etc is fine, it’s just CS. If I force close it comes back, then cuts out, sometimes sounds like it’s trying but no it’s just too hard?

I think there is an issue in step 7 when I completed the make second pice and switched from 6-7 the make second piece was already checked off however I obviously made the first piece but not getting credit for it and when I go to the potion shop it says I don’t have any of the first piece but 1 of the second tried to post pictures but it is not letting me please advise anyone thank you

After I bought him I got 8 mysterious magic from 4 dead trees.

At first though it didn't seem to make a difference, then I restarted the game and the drops improved. So if you buy him, restart your game straight away.

However, I'm still waiting for Ivy. Already used gems to hurry her for the first collection.

While waiting for Ivy what should I be collecting?

I am having trouble purchasing a plant in a log. I get the message..your at the limit! Level up to build more structures of this type. Forced close and that doesn't work. I have a lot of Aspen trees, but there has never been a limit on trees that I was aware of. Any clues on resolving this issue ? Never mind, I went to the task and clicked on the plant in the log go button, which then allowed me to purchase the plant in the log. Heads up to others with this issue.

That means you have too many in storage. You have to find the ones you have in storage and use them.

Sorry, nevermind, I see you found your answer. I can't buy them--have toy use the ones in storage. I have over 500 in there...

Def works with the dead tree, but I have my doubts with the chicken and the other drops. I am having similair drops with the chickens as has been reported without the troll, so about 1 out of 10 which in my opinion is way too low.

Edit: flamingo s also drop the yellow wispie.

You could try force closing the game.
I'm getting around 1 per tree too and I don't have the Troll. And I thought I read something here about restarting your game after the purchase to make him 'work'.

However, the goal of visiting the farmhouse remains unticked, even after I force closed and restarted. Thankfully it's only 6 gems to get past it, but I would still prefer to spend my gems in the market.

Any idea whether the rainbow grove will give full energy refill like an alicorn, or will it give just few units like dailies?
Pity I cannot go for the rainbow grove only, but have to complete the tasks for the cow and pig. I neather like their look (again those weird eyes like Anthea whom I hided forever) nor their drops.
Buying troll would make the completion easier but i don't like his look as well - for me he looks like an adult wearing diapers. If I buy him and after the event put him in storage he will annoy me every time i go through my storage searching for something else.
So I hope to get to know the drops of rainbow grove which will help me to decide - should I continue or skip this event and save energy for the next one.

I had the same problem. In the goal just click on the GO and it will take you to a farmhouse to click on. This will then clear the goal.

I have visited all my farmhouses, and got two green wispiness. Yay!

However, the goal of visiting the farmhouse remains unticked, even after I force closed and restarted. Thankfully it's only 6 gems to get past it, but I would still prefer to spend my gems in the market.

Can this be fixed please? Thanks! : )

I had the same problem. In the goal just click on the GO and it will take you to a farmhouse to click on. This will then clear the goal.

From what I can see, you have to click on a Level 1 Farmhouse (just called 'farmhouse'). My other ones don't work.
This has happened before in another event with another building (jeweler I think). Doesn't exactly motivate you to upgrade all your buildings..

Update : It worked!. To check of the 'Visit Farmhouse' assignment in goal 6, you have to collect from a Farmhouse that isn't upgraded.

Do you mean in Goal 7?
If so, the first Rainbow Fragment you make (in Goal 4) is used/ consumed when you make the Uni-Calf in Goal 4. ('Investigate the Rainbow')
You have to make 2 of the First and 2 of the Second Rainbow Fragments for goal 7, and only 1 'Second Rainbow Fragment' should be already made in Goal 6.

To avoid miscommunication it might be smart for everyone to name the goal you're talking about.

(look at my post above for the Farmhouse problem)

Spiritwind, Can the task 'Investigate the Rainbow (Take it to the Potion Shop!) x1' in goal 4,7 and 10 be adjusted to note what is needed to complete it?

I haven't reached Goal 10 yet, but for Goal 7, when you read the Goal in advance it seems like you just have to make 1 First and 1 Second Rainbow (while it is 2 of each).

Well I'm glad someone's troll is working. I can't tell an improvement. I close out my apps after I'm done. I'm still averaging 1 matter per dead tree sometimes none, every once in a while 2. Just how it was before I bought him. Whichever, whatever I guess.

In goal 6, One of the fragments is supposed to be collected from the sawmill. I have two level eight saw mills that I have collected from two times and have gotten nothing. This has happened in the past where other places that were upgraded we were unable to collect anything. And I think some people are having problems with the farmhouse is in this event. This should not happen. We should not be required to collect from a level one item.

Oops sorry- I was collecting from level eight mines. When I did collect for my level seven saw mills I did get the piece that I needed. But there is still a problem because when I hit the go button for the piece that said collective sawmills it pointed to the mine and not the sawmill. So my brain wasn’t thinking(it was very late at night) and I just went where the arrow pointed and collected from the mine which of course didn’t help me.

This is helpful, thanks. So, yes, we do need another rainbow fragment of the first type (with parts from trees) for the goal number you have here, goal 7, as it was used up in making the adorable uni-cow. Got it.

Also, I don't own an L1 farmhouse, I have levelled all of them up to 6 and above. S8, can you change this please? I have already gemmed past it, for this event, but it would be nice to not have to keep doing so for the years I intend to keep playing the game. Thanks! : )

For the life of me I can't complete the goal "visiting a farmhouse". All my farmhouses are level 7 and up and it seems only level 1 farmhouse would check off this goal. I am indeed getting the green wispy things but I'm just not checking off the visiting farmhouse part. I'd have to sell like 50 buildings if I want to go below the limit to buy a new farmhouse so this is definitely impossible for me.

Also my level 9 sawmills seem to be not dropping the clues. I don't know if it's a bug or if it's that rare

Thank you for this link. (Edit: Wow, did I comment way too early on this next part or what?!!!) I am so glad to see the energy estimate for the current event is so much less than the last one!!!

For those who asked what to do while waiting on Ivy?s Hut, look at chart on first page. We will need to chop a lot of dead trees and other trees. I am also grateful we can chop Aspen trees for these events. Without that, would be impossible to make Benediction Brew & play events at the same time.

After the event, the Cloud Troll has similar drops to the Gentleman Troll, right? I find those very useful to do the 25,000 coin trade in the Royal Exchange. You usually get more than one drop per collection, so it is very fast way to get coins and trade tickets.

The Troll is NOT supposed to drop event supplies. It is supposed to improve your drops from other items - to make it easier to get those.

it improves your chances of getting the drops when collecting around your realm. For example, without the troll you may get one wispie from 10 farmhouses, but with the troll you may get 5 from 10 farmhouses. The percentage is suppose to be higher. Does that make sense?

I think we used it to make the little calf. You will need to make 9 of fragment 1 altogether.

Just saw SW's next post. Make that 12 of fragment 1, so 24 Ivy collections.

I double checked the goals with what I've done and updated the amounts required for the Investigate the Rainbow crafts. They had the low level requirements.... sorry about that. Let me know if anything else looks odd. I hope it's all correct now. :)

Back out and force close a few times. They really should not advertise better drops if they are not going to give them. I am still getting one drop per dead tree if I am lucky. Again that is AFTER placing the troll, making sure here went in and out of storage and force closing. The wish drops are just as abysmal and have not improve with the troll. I do not even like the look of him. It looks like he is in a diaper. If it looks like he was in more of a floating, fluffy, bigger cloud he would be darling. But I would not have paid that much for him just for looks. I only did for the increased drops and because it is an event to get energy. But alas, no drop increase. Super bummed. I hope they increase it since many of us have said our drops have not changed at all. Have any of you actually seen a significant increase in your drops after buying and placing the troll?

Thank you to the peeps who bought the troll and are warning us off. I got the flamingle: ) booster at full whack for the last event, and it was worth it, even though it went on sale towards the end. I would have thought S8 would learn people spend more when they know they get good value. Oh, well! Fingers crossed for next event.

Thank you to S8 in particular for the work on this thread and for sharing elsewhere the energy banked coming in to this event, very inspirational. : )

Energy for this event estimated at 250 a day, I think, a nice break from the events in the 300s we have had lately.

Also super love how each stage has a cute prize. Whoop whoop! Workin' on my pigicorn. : )

Now I am completely confused about the goals and quantities. In the post #128 there is a new prize called Misterious Cloud. What it is, what does it drop? Or is it just the material which we need to use for making the Rainbow Grove?
Would be much more motivation and fun to take part in the event where the conditions are defined clearly. All past years in all the events it was clear what we need to make and how much, just this one is messy.
I find all the last events too much intensive. CS takes all my free time and even pretends to affect my work. Why not to make more easily achievable events, S8?

Unfortunately, that was ShibuyaCloth's first, tentative calculation, based on preliminary information. Turned out, those were the lower level requirements. SC's updated calculation shows 300 energy per day used for the event and a total of 3,500 energy needed.

@SC, thank you for updating your calculations! Just one small error I noticed: In your notes it says you calculate 10 energy per purple wispie - 5 to spawn, 5 to defeat, 50% drop rate. But with just 50% drop rate it would actually take an average of 20 energy per wispie. I know those are all assumptions anyway, no big deal, I just thought I'd mention it. :-)

I've now started battling Rainbow Skunkupines. So far I've battled 3, and each one dropped a purple wispie. This could still be a coincidence, but so far 10 energy per purple wispie seems to be a good estimate.

ETA: I'm now up to 14 rainbow skunkupines, and can confirm that the purple wispie drops every time. Unfortunately, the skunkupines don't give any energy back, so they often take more than 5 energy to defeat. On the other hand, the spawn rate from ponds is pretty good, I'd say less than 5 on average.

Thank you. I stepped in to help her. Unfortunately we haven?t been able to find that last step in goal 9. Example, when we collect from cows the message says we can?t hold anymore pieces. When we check stables, same etc. so not sure what to do. We?re still stuck and it?s been since yesterday. Which makes timed events difficult once you fall behind.

ETA have no idea what happened but when my daughter open the game and collected a few things the goal completed! Thank you!

Can someone find out if the troll is indeed broken or if it is intended to be this way? If it is not going to actually increase our drops I would like my gems back. I can not get enough mysterious matter to make anything because I get one from every 2-3 trees. Has someone posted this in bugs yet? I hope it is a bug. Not one person has said the troll has actually helped I don’t think.

We don't know. Here's the thing about energy dropping prizes from events: Mathematically they are basically never worth it. Even if it drops an average of 5 energy daily (so not a low dropper), it will take between 1.5 and 2 years to give back the energy you spent obtaining it.

However, if you still depend on the free energy refills every two hours, I do think it makes sense to invest in those events anyway, because over time your energy droppers accumulate and allow you to decouple your game play from those refills, and that's just a completely different (and awesome!) game play experience.

Noticed a lot of messages about low drop rates. Now I am not advocating buying the troll, but with it collecting wispies from the watch towers was a walk in the park. For chickens it didn't worked that well, but for farm houses, dead trees I def noticed a positive difference. The price flamingo (the one with the head) from the previous event gave me a wispie every time i collected from it. The skunk gave me a purple wispie all the time, but I think it is the same for all of us with or without the troll. I have to cut down a bunch of dead trees to collect the matter for the wispies from Ivys hut and of course wait days in a row to collect all the red wispies I need, but besides that I got all the other mats. Took me 2 energy packs, cause devs got to eat too :-).

I was just coming on to say they picked a bad time to use Ivy. My Ivy timing is now going to be out of whack due to the time change. I'm going from collecting when I wake up to a time when I am almost always too busy to open the game.

Just a tip, I figured out that the Fall Pond originally released in the Barons tend in November of 2016, rereleased in the tent in Nov. 2017 and sold for Black Friday just last year, spawns rainbow skunkupines. Sorry for those that already knew this or if someone has already mentioned it here. I read every page and did not see it mentioned but I definitely could have missed it. I figured some people could have been forgetting about this cute little pond like I was until I found it stashed in the way back of my cluttered and over capacity inventory. I attempted to post a picture of it below but posting pictures on here has never worked for me before so I am not too confident it will show up.

Good luck everyone!! I am still struggling with those mysterious matter drops (about 1 every other tree with the troll) but plugging along!

The mysterious cloud has a 1x1 size and it is a crafting one. You have to put 3X in it, to make it work. No clue what x is and how much energy it will deliver. Have to wait patiently for 4 days to get the answer.... Hope x is something reasonable.

the mysterious cloud is what you craft after the uni-pig. resources listed on page 1 so won't repeat. Building the cloud is the second last step and the last part will be to build the rainbow that sits over it. Perhaps Celine just means it takes a *lot* of work to craft rainbow fragments. :)

My initial message could indeed be confusing. I attached a pic from the inside of the cloud. The 4 days waiting refers to the final step of completing the cloud. For that I need 8 red wispies, which drop every 12h.

Yes, that is correct and I think it's the same for everyone. (high level players that is)
I agree it's confusing.
Maybe they do it so they don't have to adjust Goals for higher and Lower Level players?
(goal wording stays the same, only lower level players are done after the 2,3,3 fragments, and the rest will have to make 1 of each more)

It happens a lot, so never assume anything. Check for yourself the requirements of the thing you have to upgrade/ craft.

I'm almost done collecting all the materials. Only 26 Mysterious Matter and 7 blue wispies to go. My back of the envelope calculation says that ShibuyaCloth's estimate of the total energy necessary for completing this event (for higher level players) is pretty close to reality for me. I used up 2,300 of my stored energy + approximately 700-750 energy collected since the start of the event from my various energy sources.

My drop rates have been decent. Mysterious Matter was a slog, especially the first full day. Now my drop rate has improved a bit and I now sometimes get 2 or even 3 drops per dead tree. As for the blue wispies, it varies tremendously for me. Some collections from my 9 watchtowers yield 0-1 drops, other collections I've had 4 or even 5 blue wisps drop. Anyway, now starts the Ivy waiting game. I just hope I don't miss any collections, otherwise I'll have to speed up Ivy to finish the event on time.

The mysterious cloud is where you complete step 11. You craft a drawing but never use it for anything that I can see. It's not used to craft the Rainbow Cloud. So not sure why we do this step.

Goal 11:
* Draw the Rainbow Grove (Travel through the Mysterious Cloud!) x1
* Collect the Drawing of Rainbow Grove (We can use this to find the Grove!) x1
Rewards: none

Drawing of Rainbow Grove: 5 Mysterious Matter, 2 Simple Feast, 1 Lumin Essence

The cloud after the drawing still has a locked craft. Maybe we'll use that in the near future....maybe not & someone just forgot to clean up that cloud from a different goal.

Ok I know someone else has seen this. Sometimes when collecting something or even if a monster spawns my screen will shift and tap automatically to collect something. So for example i spawned a Shunk tapping a tree and it shiffted and highlighted a Cottage like as if I tapped on a cottage.

Yeah, those are some kinda magnifying glasses I don't remember getting. I did do a bit of research going through Shibuya's inventory & The Hub's inventory trying to figure out where they came from but didn't have any luck.
Maybe some other long time player has a better memory than me.

PS: Maybe I need to check all those useless craft buildings in my inventory to see if I spot it there. Will let you know if I figure it out.

The red wispies are a guaranteed drop from Ivy's hut. Check your inventory to be sure - I sometimes don't see the red wispie drop because of all the other stuff that drops from Ivy's hut at the same time, but so far I've always gotten one with each collection. I've collected 9 times so far (sped up 2 times).

Normally we don't add drops to chicks but since this doesn't have an adult version I've gone ahead and added the drops for it. I've also added the Spring Chick to the list of Chickens that drop event items so, going forward, they will always drop event items when Chickens do.

Unfortunately, the skunkupines don't give any energy back, so they often take more than 5 energy to defeat.

Hmm, this appears to have been missed. I've added the energy to the Rainbow Skunkupines on hit and on **** so they should be like the other monsters now.

Just read last posts and don?t see others having issues with farmhouses. I?ve been sitting on 2/4 for fhe third day now. At this rate I?ll never finish. Don?t want to waste gems to more toward when next step is just causing problems

i can commiserate with you. I have no problems with farmhouses but I'm the only one not getting rainbow skunkpines from ponds or wells. I got 3 purple wispies in 2 days and about 15 dire boars in a row now.

I hope the next event won't be Monster Hunt. I collected 3000 energy only for the Monster Hunt, but completing this event will finish all my stored energy. Hopefully I'll get enough time to collect the same quantity before the new Monster Hunt starts.

Hmm, this appears to have been missed. I've added the energy to the Rainbow Skunkupines on hit and on **** so they should be like the other monsters now.

Thank you for checking on us and fixing bugs but at this point I've finished defeating all the skunkupines needed for the quest line and I'm pretty sure most people have too.

i can commiserate with you. I have no problems with farmhouses but I'm the only one not getting rainbow skunkpines from ponds or wells. I got 3 purple wispies in 2 days and about 15 dire boars in a row now.

YAY! I started the next storyline task, "Hamme Fatale" and it looks like the dire boars curse on my ponds has lifted. I'm finallyyyyy seeing rainbow skunkupines.

I don?t get the third corner from the stable! I visited my stables 3 times, then force closed, now for the 4th Time, but still no corner. Both stables are Level 5. Does anybody have the same problem?

I took out of storage all my Lantern Spires and now need to wait until they are ready to collect. As I have a lot of them it should beacome clear at the first collection whether Spires do drop that blue wispie or not. I'll let you know. If they won't drop the wispies, I think I'll sell half of them because it has been very long time since we needed to collect from Lantern Spire for an event. Only Watchtowers. So I better sell Spires and buy some more Watchtowers.

You know if you sell the spires you will regret it. Please don?t sell half unless you have massive amounts of them.

I actually prefer the look of the spires and have both out. I have been able to expand thanks to so many items that drop expansion permits and also the discounted expansions so I have plenty of room. I have even left out stuff I said I wouldn?t :-)

I wouldn't worry about the magnifying glasses. It's most likely some code was cut and paste as a place holder for the "crafting" building and some after the event the p cloud will become decoration or changed to a building with drops.

I agree with Witty Witch. Build more and check your inventory under Building tab, and make sure you don't have any in there
All types of watchtowers. Gingerbread etc..

I wouldn't worry about it either. As stated above by HuckleTown, it's probably just a carry over.

Oh boy, really .... Must be me, but lately the main event prices are a bit underwhelming to me. S8 charges good money for packages to assist you in the events. If you end up with prices like these you will def think twice next time buying packages. One Feanor, for sales for 400 gems, has a much higher value then the mysterious cloud. Thank you for reporting this, it encouraged me not to spend any gems in this event speeding things up. I just will wait patiently for the red wispies :-). No hurries anymore.

Lantern Spires do not drop wispies at all. Collected from 13 Spires and didn't get any wispie. Then collected from 10 Watchtowers and got 3 wispies.

Now waiting for the information regarding the timer of the main prize. If the energy drops are going to be so low and timer is 22h, I am done with this event and start collecting energy. Still need a lot of drops from dead trees, and my drop rate from them was very low. Thank you, pocopicasso, for informing about the drops. It would have been very disappointing, to realize all that in the end of the event. Now at least there is some more time for saving the energy. I have almost all ingredients except Ivy's wispies for constructing the cloud. Now I just wait for Ivy and will try to place the empty cloud as I like the empty one's appearance.
Good luck to everyone who decided to continue the event. Though the poor wispies drops (and as a result huge energy demand) and prizes, I like the fact that no game babysitting was required this time.

I'm enjoying this event even though it's quite boring. Waiting for Ivy is boring my mind numb, but I have no intention of using gems, and it's better to check the game twice a day than babysitting it every 1.5 hours like other events. The rainbow fall cloud is beautiful and unique looking, I don't care if it drops only 2 energy. I don't need energy, I can't even use what I have. But for others I feel bad, as you're spending upward of 3000 energy to get something so measly in return.

I'm just waiting on Ivy now too to craft the last 5 rainbow fragments. You'd think S8 would want us checking into our game more than twice a day...lol. I really hate Ivy being a part of these goals! The troll camps not any better either!

S8, don't you want us to log into our games more than just twice a day? Why can't we tap on a different building like a jewelers or some other building that's 3 or 4 hours?

If someone has already had this problem and it was solved, I apologize. I'm on goal 3 and have tapped the stables for the last 3 days and have recieved nothing! Am I missing something?
