Not off to a good start. Only the regular cows are working. They don't seem to have turned on the royal, black or special cows. Also, the fairy atrium has been zeroed out again. It was zeroed out at the beginning of the last event and then they later restored are inventory from the last event. Again, what's the point of winning fairies at the end of an event only to have them zeroed out.

I'm going to do this event, though it looks like the main prize is a "walker" (flyer, like Batty?). But I like snowglobes and the holiday gnomes are cute and even though they have a chance to drop snowballs which I'm not going to use anyway.

No, not at all. It's an optional event, so take time off if you want to :) It has no impact on any main story. The items will likely end up in future sales for gems if you're really keen on anything in particular. Maybe just do the daily goals for the 3x gnomes as that will only take a few minutes each day to complete. Hope that helps!

ETA: The Adventure "Stuff the Baron's Stocking" only appears after completion of Goal 4 and pops up with Goal 5.

Grinchy Gnome spawns from Ponds only when this goal appears and not before. It takes 10 hits to **** this gnome.
Grinchy Gnome spawned from Princess Lorelei, regular wells and Swampy Pond as well. Not sure which other fountain or pond it spawns from since it doesn't spawn on each click on a water feature, including ponds.


i do know that the mermaid ponds will spawn b/c when colllecting from mine last night, it did and there is no other water/pond sources in the area

700 is more likely the last level. I've amended it back to 200 on page 1 with the normal coin increments.

All goals now on page 1. The only question really is whether there is a community visit goal in the last step. Good luck all!

Oddly enough, the Level 1 Snow Globe does drop 700 coins every 2 hours but the Level 2 only 250. Me thinks someone on the team is guilty of programming while distracted, lol.

My first 4 Fearie Chests only gave 1 Talinium Fearie each. (not enough to make it to the 70, in past events each chest gave between the 1 and 3)

LOVE the new Academy Citizen 'Errol'. I don't have a Griffin yet, so that one will be super nice addition to my Kingdom.
I do have to gather 150 Academy scrolls though(I already have 50), I wish the Individual Prizes included them!
I don't really like the Crowns and after the Bug when purchasing the Town Square Citizen Maeve (making me temporarily lose 150 Gems and miss the Black Friday Sale) I'm not really eager to try buying one again.

I'm not so hooked on the prices from this event, so I might sit this one out, since it's also Christmas and all. Balto is a cute reindeer, but he's a walker as far as I heard.
The gnomes from the atrium / fairy chests have "a chance" to drop snowballs for the Barons tent, but I'm quite happy to collect cabbages and throw the 6 free snowballs a day.
Then there's academy scrolls, crowns and deco from the event...

I'm with you on the 'chance to drop Snowballs' from the Faerie Atrium Gnomes. I'm not participating in the whole Snowball thing.
But collecting the Faerie Chests is pretty easy and they (the Christmas Gnomes) must have other drops too, especially after the Snowball event is over in February.
+ I like that the event is pretty straight foreword.
We know what to expect, and I think even with 2/3 days not playing but celebrating, it is still finishable (is that a word?)

BTW, I keep 50 of the ten minute timer black and white cows to be able to collect quickly when needed. It's over milking the cake, to mootilate a metaphor, but I am guaranteed enough drops to do the craft. It was a lot of front end investment of energy - I did it five cows at a time.

Are you certain you forgot to put it back? The game can reset after you log off, and if the last thing you did was put the Troll Camp back out, it's possible the reset put it back in storage. I try to wait 10-15 seconds, or do something else, after putting the Camp back out after storing:p

No, it has a 6 hour timer. You collect from it, put it in storage, do something else, take it out of storage, do something else for 15 secs in case the game resets.

I may be wrong here but if we need to make 22 reindeer gnome dolls to complete this event and the drop rate on the troll camp is 33% then we would get the drop every third time approximately. This means 18 hrs to get one drop. 18 x 22 = 396 divided by 24 hrs in a day (of course we all want to set an alarm for the middle of the night to collect from the troll camp) = 16.5 days. The event isn?t that long. (This is worse than a guaranteed drop from Ivy?s hut!) So if I?m right, there isn?t enough time to finish the event without spending gems to speed up the troll camp. They?ve got to come up with a lot better prizes for me to even consider doing that, lol. So not worth it, sooooo count me out! Again S8 rolls out a lame event geared only towards those willing to spend a lot of real money to finish. I have much better things to spend my hard earned money on! (Oooo look at the pretty reindeer I spent $50 on, I can?t touch it or hold it or play with it and the whole game might disappear into cyberspace one day but ain?t it pretty!) No thank you! I?ll just keep working on the main story goals and when I finish (or S8 discontinues the game) I won?t be lamenting my wasted wages that I have nothing to show for.

Oh no, you shouldnt spend gems to speed up the Troll Camp 'cause its not a guaranteed drop. You need to gem the boots in the workshop. Or spend even more gems and buy the doll. Or buy the Value Packs, if they contain the boots or a finished doll.

Not the first time I forgot, so I'm pretty sure that's what I did. Normally I would play a little to avoid the reset, then collect, put in storage, do something, pull it back out and play some more. But one might hope it wasn't one's own fault :p

I got boots on one of three adventures and I should be able to send another two tomorrow. With the golden eggs instead of nuggets, I can send out many more adventures and the potential for boots should help. My troll camps have been at about a 50% success rate so far.

I don't like random drops either, especially from the Troll Camp where you have to wait another 6 hours for another try.

But don't forget the adventures.
Even if you don't have massive amounts of energy stored, you will still have to chop a lot of Snowboulders, and get the required Snow Crystals from it.
Enough to maybe do around 6/7 adventures? Extra chance to get the Snowboots (and if your really really lucky the Elf Gnome)
And I think the drop rate from the camp is a little higher than 33%.

I'm not sure I can finish, but I am trying and usually I can finish events without spending Money/ Gems.
+ Except for the Troll camp drop, this event is not really that hard or energy consuming. You still have some time/ energy left for other tasks in your kingdom.

Just got 3 snowballs from my elf gnome!!! Apparently snowball drops are rare but I'm so glad they have a chance to drop in multiples.
Also I've crafted the Santa gnome and the craft is grayed out since there's a limit of 1. What a pity. I was hoping to craft a couple of them.

No, not at all. It's an optional event, so take time off if you want to :) It has no impact on any main story. The items will likely end up in future sales for gems if you're really keen on anything in particular. Maybe just do the daily goals for the 3x gnomes as that will only take a few minutes each day to complete. Hope that helps!

Do you mean the Elf Gnome?
He is a very very rare drop. You can go on 50 Adventures and not get him, or you can be lucky and get him on your first try.

You're welcome, I have been doing this quite some events now and though I'm not getting the drops every time, drops are definitely not as bad as others here say. So, because it doesn't cost me anything I keep doing it. I wasn't the one who came up with the idea, but I keep mentioning it because I hope it helps others.

I got extremely lucky this event: The adventure gave me an elf gnome. This is the very first time I got the special drop from adventures in both my kingdoms.

Definitely liking how this event is more relaxed. I?m not concerned about getting Balto, even though hes really cute and the gnomes giving snowballs is a plus. I hope they drop something else after the snowball event.

I was so mad at S8 after the pig mud event but they are bringing my faith back.

The tent only refills up to 6 so if you have more than 6 you don?t get the refill. So you would have needed to open the tent, get the six, then chop the snowball. Then you would have had 11. I?m sorry you didn?t know this.

this exact same thing happened to me only I chopped it in the very beginning, before the tents had converted. I never got those 5 back.

Help! I'm stuck on level 1 Snow Globe! Game refuses to allow me to progress with upgrades! Keeps resetting after I upgrade! Level 50 and long time player. I've closed and reopened. Put it in storage and taken it back out. Tried all the usual remedies. This has been an ongoing issue for the past three events. This time nothing's working. I can go on the adventure so that did open up. This is so weird and frustrating.

My Mr Claus Gnome dropped three snowballs on my first collection, so multiples are possible. I have had good luck with the adventures and the troll camp for boots. I am finished going on adventures so I won't be getting the elf, but that is no surprise to me. I have stopped hunting for the random drop from the adventure ever since I tried very hard to get the dog several quests back.

Remember that your daily quests don't show up until 24 hours after you completed the previous days quests. They always slide for me due to real life so I always lose at least one set of quests. Hence, it is harder to get all three items for me.

Have you tried putting your Troll Camp back into storage after collecting? Just for a minute or so.
My drop rates have increased doing this.
Only don't forget to place it back in your Kingdom and wait a moment after placing it back so you know the game doesn't reset.

I did get the special drop this time on my 4th or 5th adventure, unlike previous events where I didn't get it. So...... my theory (unproven) is that if you don't get it early on, it's not going to happen.
I've sent out one last adventure for boots hopefully . I'm done chopping snow boulders.

And for what it's worth, the drops from the Elf Gnome are nothing special.

On events similar to this one, there is usually a goal which requires an adventure. In this event, the goal is called Coal for the Baron. Usually, these adventures require gold nuggets, which are required for many other things. Although I have spent many gold nuggets in the past, I have never managed to get the prize. I was happy to see the Coal for the Baron required gold eggs instead of gold nuggets. I have so many gold eggs. Well, I’ve used eighteen of the gold eggs so far, with no sign of the Elf Gnome. Additionally, very few of the elusive boots have been found on the adventure. I finally threw my hands up waiting for the troll camp to yield enough boots and used gems for many of the boots. I really hate the combination of long collection time and (rare) random drops. I will keep going on the adventure in a (probably) vain effort to get the Elf Gnome. I‘m just annoyed that this is such a waste of energy chopping snowballs.

Do you mean the Elf Doll materials or the Elf pet with drops? You can't craft the materials after you finish the final goal but you can absolutely continue to craft and collect the Elfs with drops through the Faerie Atrium and the event Adventure.

You get it in the 'Bundle of Gifts' when you complete goal 9.

The Elf Gnome can be won by doing adventures (rare and random drop). You can still do adventures after fully upgrading your Snowglobe.

The 3 Gnomes from the Faerie Atrium (Ms. Claus, Mr. Claus and Grinchy Gnome) have nothing to do with upgrading your Snowglobe.
You have to complete the daily tasks to get Faerie chests.


Edit : I'm sorry, you probably mean the Reindeer Gnome Doll (material), and AnnirasSweets already answered that.

I wanted to post to emphasize that the final reward for wreaths, getting Balto the flying reindeer, is a kingdom “Walker” who flies slowly around. This is mentioned in the first page, but I was expecting a decoration to drop something. I spent 10 minutes force quitting, searching the bug forum and recent posts, and starting a support request. Then I checked my kingdom again and saw Balto flying around. My fault of course for not reading carefully, but hoping to save a few people from the same frustration. I am gratefully to finish early, Balto is cute, but disappointed not to get the adventure drop after 10-12 tries. Not worth spending vast energy trying dozens more times.

I agree to some extent, but at least for this event we used golden eggs and not golden nuggets to do the adventure. For that I am immensely grateful...thank you for listening to our feedback on this point, S8! I did far more adventures on this event than any prior of a similar format just because I didn't have to deplete nuggets!

Got Snow Globe to L6 and have passed the 900 wreath mark in the Individual Prize but just noticed the ACADEMY SCROLLS rewards are not showing up in my Academy so can?t awaken Errol /Honora!!! Should have at least have had enough for one of them ... only shows I have 90 Scrolls!!?!!

For 650 wreaths you get crowns, I don't see scrolls in the individual prizes. I got some scrolls from the event goals (27 according to the first page), but don't have 200 yet.

Finished the snow globe this afternoon. Now on to collecting wreaths. I don't particularly want the reindeer, but I'll try anyway.

Congratulations on finishing snow globe. I got boots from another adventure just need one more now so c’mon troll camp. And idk why I feel the need to finish but it’s a sense of accomplishment I guess. Unfortunately, may have to set alarms to get all the wreaths. Ggrrrr.

Sounds like we’re coded for the same drops for boots from adventures and troll camp. I finally collected last boots I need just now from troll camp. So power of post x 2 maybe did the trick? Ha ha! Not. Lol it’s called effort and luck. Anyways I really hope your boots drop next collection. Good luck :)

Walker is ADORABLE. Have already packed Christmas away but the new reindeer and the gingerbread guy from last year are still out roaming because of the cuteness factor, I hope we get a bunny for Easter. : D

Edit add I get the wanting a pair of red nosed little guys too, think it is a case of winning no matter which way it turned out. In this case. I don't usually like walkers anymore. But this one is SO CUTE and seasonal. I also bouught ho ho ho leggings in the sales and am wearing them too, so it's not a surprise my Balto is around. It was said before - this year's rhythm of events meant that the Xmas event was fairly late, but my cute flyer is coming out on Dec 1st next year. : D

2nd edit add: Did I mention I would love a bunny walker (hopper) for Easter? : ) How about a Cupid fairy flyer or smiling heart character for Valentine's? It took me a lot of journeys but i finally got my elf gnome. Troll pit was also stingy but journeys helped to gather some more boots, so managed to do the final upgrade of the snow globe and to get the cute reindeer gnome. Thank you for the beautiful event, S8! Happy holidays for everyone!

Unable to get the resource unless you spend money to buy gems or packs... :-/
I've said it before and will say it again. I don't care what the official response or position is on this issue. The resources and spawns DO reduce to impossible the further into the challenge you get. You have to...have to load up on these resources early on. As early as you can. Aim to finish in the first week or several days early. Some players see an increase in drops/spawns the closer you get to the end but alas that has never been my experience. I really hope the power of the post will get those boots dropping for you in time for you to complete!

My kingdom is apparently on the naughty list. I haven't had one of these prizes drop from adventures for a very very looooooooooong time. I did the adventure for the boot drops. Once I had all the boots and other resources I stopped adventuring. :/

Try the Stuff the Baron adventure! I used that to supplement the troll camp boot drops.

It says he goes into storage but he really is walking around your kingdom. Check your board to see if he is flying around.h

I love my flying reindeer so I am happy with that, although, of course, I will only have him out for maybe a month, but I don't mind walkers as prizes, maybe because I am still fairly new at CS.

Well, i was surprised I got enough boots by yesterday due to getting two pair from adventures but I stopped adventuring soon after that, not worth all that chopping when I started get less than 5 icicles per day. Just not worth the effort for nothing.

I bought 2 gnomemans with gems i had left over from the sale (not a whole lot to buy so i had gems left over, THAT is weird!) It did NOT give icicles so i STOPPED buying them. Thank you s8 for always convincing me to spend less on your game. LOL if you want to be stingy on items from cash prizes you know I am going to SPEND LESS. I don't understand you one bit but I appreciate you for wanting less of my money.

I’d like to think that I’ll learn a lesson and not waste resources on these random adventure drops, but I suspect I will not. I think I have time for another adventure. Took me a while to learn the lesson, but it finally stuck. I'm among many on the naughty list. Some of us just will never get that adventure prize. I don't waste time (& especially not money) on them anymore. I do the adventure to boost resources and once I have enough I quit going.

Same here. I just checked. I have the other gnomes complete but can't get the boots. Just checked and needed 6 reindeer gnomes! Then I noticed the troll camp was ready and got a pair of boots. Finally after numerous collections with no boots. So I still have 5 pairs of boots to go. The baron's stockings have not been giving boots and I have had difficulty getting the icicles to do the adventure as well. I have collected the 3 characters from the atrium. Just need the wreath now. I am not going to have enough wreaths collected either. I don't have time to collect regularly.

Please post in English in future. Yes, events are difficult and the minor prize from the adventure is only supposed to be a small bonus. Like a lot of us, once the final level is reached, some us stop doing adventures too. I hope you get the other gnomes ;)

So sorry for those without boots to complete snow globe! This is the crazy of random drops. My realm has spare. : ( May either the luck turn for the better or may you have the gems to buy the boots you need.

We don't know what the fully upgraded drops will be from the globe, so it's hard to know if it is worth it. Hard choices!

The reindeer gnome should be in your inventory. Mine is visible under decorations.

I'm not going to get Balto in kingdom 2 and may be not in kingdom 1, work got in the way and I didn't get many wreaths from chests.

Same here, I calculated I'd be short 27 wreaths in kingdom 1 and about 125 in kingdom 2, so I decided this morning to give up on that. Also not spending gems on a "walker".

Have your upgraded the snow globe to level 6? The reward for doing that is the Reindeer Gnome.

Don't forget there is also a community visit component to completing the event and getting the Flying Reindeer (kingdom citizen). You also get another gnome in the bundle of goodies for completing the goals.

Do what you can to upgrade the globe....

I also didn?t see the reindeer. I put him back in storage reset the game, took him back out and reset the game again before he finally started walking in my Queendom. He occasionally looks like he?s trying to jump up and fly but he mostly slowly walks around. Super lame and I will likely keep him in storage if he doesn?t actually fly like described.

The witch Morgaine actually looks like she?s flying on her broom so it can be done.
