Wow, no alicorns. I spent two months saving up, making things for sweet feast adventures and doing gem trades. One sad puppy over here. I am at 124 and hoped to get a flower power for 100 or 125. I'm looking at the reindeer stable because it's cute and I've enjoyed it on other people's kingdoms.

I bought the Chimera when it was first introduced and I believe it was between 400-600 Gems. It drops random energy and 22 hour timer, I usually get between 2-7 energy each collection. Hopefully that helps anyone who wants the Chimera.

P.S. I also have Valkyrie and Ianthe they are 22 hour timer and drop random energy. I have gotten 2-10 usually.

I am super disappointed. Like many of you I have saved heaps of gems for this sale. It's not even the lack of Alis that bothers me. I have some and I am at the point when I have more energy than needed to be honest. But these sales were always splendid for decor, and I was salivating at the sheer thought of passed events items that I missed. But there is almost nothing and what is there I already own. Sad, sad face.

I thought that in the worst-case scenario, I'd buy a second cabbage hut - but even this is not an option. What a letdown.

I got the spellbound bloom too when it was on sale recently & am sooo happy; not only can I now do Spellbound Blocks/Beams faster, I can do the Acidien Trade if I am low on Newborn Sprite jars. And I got the Gold Mine for full price, but it enabled me to do event trades calling for Gold Nuggets, which often gave me a hard to get drop, so I was able to finish events.
Ditto on others' thoughts re: reindeer stable, penguin, & Celestine...wondering what "monster drops" are, and how often the Stable gives drops other than Sugar (now maxed because of the Swirlicorn)

I’m disappointed too about Ali’s but so many good drops! Going to get the energy items but I think this is the first BF with no Ali’s. What on earth are they thinking. That’s the biggest money maker for them. We all save up for them!

PS, not sure if it’s still there but there was a great deal on Amazon. $100 iTunes card for $80. Cant go wrong there. I have three games, but most will go here. $10 to the others so $60 left here. Plus I know a friend is getting me an iTunes card even though I told her I have enough. My whole family knew I wanted it while recovering so I got $100 from dad, aunt and grandma! Lol. Not going to use it all. I have one craft item I want to get and a pair of pj pants I want hehe. But maybe $150 to iTunes which is the most I have spent in a single sitting. This is a treat! * Season 2 saw the return of the statues as a source of drops of specific types of tokens. Once placed on your board they have a 22 hour collection timer on them.
* In Season 3, the 3 statues became a craft in the Trade Wagon. They were only available as a craft, not a reward from goals. The craft was only available during this season. [This craft is no longer available; it was exclusive to Season 3.] | Skunkupine - 10 gold tokens | Fangbeast - 25 gold tokens | Dire boar - 50 gold tokens
* The statues have not been available for players as separate crafts or rewards since season 3.

My understanding is that during monster hunts they will actually just give you the tokens. I know they always appear in my neighbors kingdoms during the hunts so it looks like they are still dropping tokens.

Prices reduced until 12/3 10am PT.
They need expansion permits, I think all of them need 3 permits.
I had a glitch and paid 7 permits for the first 4 plots. I hope S8 will fix it it for me.

I am super disappointed. Like many of you I have saved heaps of gems for this sale. It's not even the lack of Alis that bothers me. I have some and I am at the point when I have more energy than needed to be honest. But these sales were always splendid for decor, and I was salivating at the sheer thought of passed events items that I missed. But there is almost nothing and what is there I already own. Sad, sad face.

I thought that in the worst-case scenario, I'd buy a second cabbage hut - but even this is not an option. What a letdown. Yep.

Its great that others posting are finding items that they havent gotten before, I guess it feels like the longer term players are a bit let down as none of the items that others have bought are available as I already have them. There is no alternative 'shopping' for longer term players - and I dont mean Alis.

Those players who waited for Alis - don't get upset, soon the Christmas Sale will be there. I was also saving gems since several months and doing lots of 1 gem bringing trade in the Royal Exchange. I wish in this sale would be more items from past events and more decorations, but it's fine, therearestill lots of beautiful and useful things in this sale. I was actually waiting for the Firefighter Wagon (or however was the exact name of this) which works as a Golden Mine. Though not sure I would be allowed to purchase it as i already have two Golden Mines. This time I might go for Valkyrie, Ianthe, beautiful Wyvern or/and Flying Raccoon which is "useless" but super cute.

Very helpful, thank you. Once over my grumps about the alicorn lack, I committed to buying energy droppers. They are like Pringles or Doritos to me - Enough is still not enough! I was planning on buying 30 alicorns on sale for 100 each, so I will instead be a grown up (reluctantly) and buy the decent energy droppers I can. : ) Wanting to hear bigger numbers of energy from the round table, still willing to buy three if they are magnificent droppers as I suddenly have a bit more room.

Are those guaranteed energy droppers? I might be able to do chimera cub or valkryrie... They are all 200 and I was crossing my fingers for a 125 or 150 gem based on past Ali's... I might be able to but only if it's a guarantee.

Out of all the s8 games I play, CS has the best BF Sales - no question. I didn't hesitate to toss my gems around to purchase at least one of every new item. I wanted to stop by and share my drops so far from said new items to help with the inventory entries.

The Chimera, Valkyrie and Ianthe are guaranteed energy droppers. But they drop random amounts of energy each collection. See Ki250's post below for the level of energy drops for each.


Are those guaranteed energy droppers? I might be able to do chimera cub or valkryrie... They are all 200 and I was crossing my fingers for a 125 or 150 gem based on past Ali's... I might be able to but only if it's a guarantee.

Otherwise I'll just get the reindeer stable I've admired in other kingdoms.

I bought the Chimera when it was first introduced and I believe it was between 400-600 Gems. It drops random energy and 22 hour timer, I usually get between 2-7 energy each collection. Hopefully that helps anyone who wants the Chimera.

P.S. I also have Valkyrie and Ianthe they are 22 hour timer and drop random energy. I have gotten 2-10 usually.

Very helpful, thank you. Once over my grumps about the alicorn lack, I committed to buying energy droppers. They are like Pringles or Doritos to me - Enough is still not enough! I was planning on buying 30 alicorns on sale for 100 each, so I will instead be a grown up (reluctantly) and buy the decent energy droppers I can. : ) Wanting to hear bigger numbers of energy from the round table, still willing to buy three if they are magnificent droppers as I suddenly have a bit more room.

Also maybe armored griffin could drop armor? Please keep keeping us informed and anyone else w reported drops from these new items would love to hear from you. Thanks! : )

I think they are farther to the left, and it looks like you have expanded to a few of them. But I am not out that far yet so not sure if I am correct ot not. I do know on the Interactive Map, they dont show as being available, so it looks like S8 opened them up for the first time?

This has been the best Black Friday ever!

My kingdom has completely transformed with the new expansions.
(and the glitch - the best place ever for my Desert Palace ;) )
Opened up all the discount squares, plus one more. :cool:
Created a new entrance to my kingdom and uncovered outside of the walls more.
Burned through all my Explorers Permits, but still have 23 Expansion Permits saved up.

I bought Ianthe and the Monarch Wyvern.
Ianthe is badass! and the Monarch Wyvern is so beautiful! :love_heart:

Don't know about Celestine, but have 2 golden mines. LOVE THEM. I am maxed on everything but nuggets now, which is over 90 almost all the time. I often skip my peacocks as the g mine guarantees a gold item plus as rare drops it has a massive list of goodies on the hub inventory list, have had two maple trees and two golden gates this last year plus other drops.

Edit add: I even do the greedy elven trade for golden eggs or apples because I know I will restock easily. : )

Exactly what SofiaDeo said - the plots are just to the left of the top row. My board was the same. I found the cheapest expansion by the plots and got access to the discounted ones. The one I used was - am bad at directions, sorry - the row towards the centre of the board in your picture, closest to the top row. The first one as you move right to left, below the crazy expensive row. I literally did a double take w your pic as my expansion screen was the same before I found my expansions.

It seems we need to keep (5 discounted plots x 3 permits each each) 15 permits in pocket, and I have been keeping enough explorer permits to open my most expensive square. Having them to hand and keeping my lantern stock full up meant I did all the plots easily.

Edit add, fyi, I tend to only expand now w these events - I save everything up and have an expansion bonanza, using up all my gold permits in reserve - and KEEPING that 15 of the regular permits in reserve. It is fun. Have 3 plots in addition to the discounted ones and will have SO much fun after WW redecorating. Was thinking about keeping trees for events, am on the fence. Can't redecorate until I clear them, raising trees for events energy intensive... but, the events have been getting SO hard I even gave up on the current one. First time. Not sure it is worth it to do events anymore at all, so not sure about keeping board event-ready. : ( Thoughts, anyone?

I had 510 gems saved up from adventures, trades and playing other games. I really wanted to get the round table, but the "daily Ali" drops unfortunately weren't worth it to me.

So I decided to get another gold mine and Ianthe, and I really like her! I know she's based on wonder woman, but she reminds me of the mahavidya goddess Chinnamasta with her sword, ready to chop off your head (well, your ego), to pierce through the illusions of the mind and to destroy all demons. I would advise the baron not to get too close to her!

Page 1 up and running too... added some pics of the new expansions too. Left 1 plot open so I can keep making permits. (for those fully expanded, only expansion permits are back in the exchange, not the explorer permit, so keep a plot free (I've left AA9 as its one of the cheapest))

Yes. If you are fully expanded you can't make more Expansion or Explorers permits. Few weeks ago I fully expanded- and crafts went away. Now that there were new plots on sale - I can make expansion permits again. But since new plots don't require any Explorer permits- this craft is still not in my Royal Exchange. I will have to wait for any new plot to open, which requires Explorer's permits before I get those crafts back.

I tried closing the game, removing mist of my buildings to reduce my royal points, closing again. Rebuilding again...nothing . It will not open .

This happened to me as well. I had enough royal buildings out to meet the plot requirement and did actually expand, then game rolled back and I was several thousand points short. I had to haul out several more royal points buildings to add up to whatever the expansion said it required. Eventually it was met and I was able to open the plot.

As I wrote on page 1 and in the bugs forum, discounted plots have never seen reduced RP before which makes me think that this is a typo on the screen. You will need around 6000RP. Put more out first and see if that fixes it which (fingers crossed) it should... good luck!

Ianthe, Valkyrie and Chimera decent, yay! They don't have the 100 drop bonanza of a regular daily Ali, but they still average in the 5-6 range, so, coolio. Griffins a bit less so, but I am sure it will even out, still worth it to me.

Yes every 22 hours. :) I put mine in my dark and gloomy area and they fit right in.

It's a total rip off of the Faerie's Gate (shown on right side of image) and a bad one at that! It's sooooo tiny in comparison to the original and doesn't even offer any RPs. It may sound petty but I really wish they'd given Sabina her own, original Gate.

When the sale just started I saw Citizens were on sale too. I don't care for them much, but I had a lot of Crowns so I decided to buy a couple.
To my knowledge only the flying monkey cost Gems, the rest was for Crowns.
After I bought a few, I noticed I was 150 Gems short. (and no idea what had happened)
I submitted a ticket and got a message that I apparently bought Citizen Maeve for 150 Gems.

My question is.. was it really priced in Gems and did I just not see it, or was there a mistake?
Of course I would NEVER EVER have bought her if I had known she would cost Gems and not Crowns.

Maeve is on sale for 375 crowns. The only thing I see for gems is the Flying Raccoon.
The banner with "New" is stuck on top of the "Sale" banner.
So something may have changed.

I've updated my list of drops so far but it's back some ways in the thread so here's what I've gotten from the new items:

Armored Griffin: $50, 2-10 Energy

Bengal Tiger: $150, Flyger Milk, Fur, Rat Tail, Creep Tooth, Elvenite, Iron, Mithril, Earth Wisp, Wisp Lantern, Light Armor, Expansion Permit

Monarch Wyvern:$50, Wyvern Milk, 1-5 Stone, 1-5 Jewels, 1-5 Iron, 1-5 Coal, 1-3 Silver, Mithril, 2 Earth Wisp, Wisp Lantern *I've been getting about 5 different materials per drop*

Romanticore: $50, Fur, Manticore Whisker, Mysterious Venom,

Round Table: $100, 4-8 Energy (fingers crossed for bigger numbers!)

When the sale just started I saw Citizens were on sale too. I don't care for them much, but I had a lot of Crowns so I decided to buy a couple.
To my knowledge only the flying monkey cost Gems, the rest was for Crowns.
After I bought a few, I noticed I was 150 Gems short. (and no idea what had happened)
I submitted a ticket and got a message that I apparently bought Citizen Maeve for 150 Gems.

This happened to me as well with the headless horseman. I could have sworn it said crowns, but I was charged 150 gems instead.

* Season 2 saw the return of the statues as a source of drops of specific types of tokens. Once placed on your board they have a 22 hour collection timer on them.
* In Season 3, the 3 statues became a craft in the Trade Wagon. They were only available as a craft, not a reward from goals. The craft was only available during this season. [This craft is no longer available; it was exclusive to Season 3.] | Skunkupine - 10 gold tokens | Fangbeast - 25 gold tokens | Dire boar - 50 gold tokens
* The statues have not been available for players as separate crafts or rewards since season 3.


Drops from Statues:
Skunkupine Statue: shield tokens (around 5 per collection)
Fangbeast Statue: sword tokens (around 2 per collection)
Dire boar Statue: staff tokens (around 1 per collection)

Apparently the statues only give tokens during a Monster Hunt. I collected from mine & only got xp too. Only the Beastbane gives tokens in between monster hunts.
