Monster Manhole Boost - Collect 15 points every two hours
Craft items in the Windmill - 1+ points
Craft items in the Cider House - 1+ points
Craft items in the Dehydrator - 1+ points
Collect from your Hot Water Boiler - 1+points
Complete an order in the Farmer's Market - 4 points
Complete all orders in the Farmer's Market - 30+ points
Complete a Plane Delivery - 6 points
Feed and Collect from your pigs - 3 points per pig
Craft items in the Noodle House - 1+ points
Win a Mystery Box - ? Points

For your information:
With regards to the +1 points in buildings, you get 1 leaderboard point for every 1 hour craft. The game does not show 0.5 points but they accumulate. For crafts of lesser duration than 1 hour, you need to make enough for 1 hour in order to get 1 point.
Example:
Craft items in the Windmill - 1+ points
6 flour (10 mins per flour) = 1 point
3 white sugar (20 mins each) = 1 point
2 powdered sugar (30 mins) = 1 point
1 corn starch (1 hr 30 mins) = 1 point
2 corn starch (1 hr 30 mins) = 3 points

This LB is 13 days in duration, which will end in November.

Question: How long do we get to smash pumpkins and still be able to get prizes?

The concern here is the White Pumpkin at 5400 LB points. Today is the 23rd, if I want a chance at ... say a Mummy Llama ... does that mean I have to actually smash that White Pumpkin before the 31st?

What about orange regular pumpkins? When’s the deadline for smashing those?

I just watched someone on my leaderboard go up over 4,000 points in less than 5 minutes. Someone please explain to me how that can possibly be done? I’ve been playing hard in the few hours the leaderboard has become available and all my hard work was surpassed in 5 minutes by another player.

There should be a mechanism in place to report them. I’ve been looking forward to this leaderboard. Now there doesn’t seem to be any point to playing. Yes, frustrating. Also disheartening.

Considering how far ahead 1st and 2nd are, there's no way I'll be able to overtake them...and to be honest, the Scarecrow does not appeal to me as a decoration. If it were one of those special pets...MAYBE I would try hard to stay in 3rd to 6th. Maybe.

They are likely yellow boosting and using the boost item ...
Thing is one needs to decide how many gems and/or how much money are you willing to spend on a pet.
The storm team thankfully runs another event at the same time they run leaderboard and everyone knows only two players out of 20 players wins leaderboard.
There are nice milestone prizes.
Even if a person leads a leaderboard right to the end someone can buy points in the last five minutes or boost and speed up items with gems to get points and suddenly pass you.
Leaderboard is always going to have some players that want to win no matter what the cost.

I concentrate on the other event and the milestone prizes.
If I am put on a board that top few players are yellow boosting from day one I grimace and stay out of that war.

I think of it this way those few high spending players on a leaderboard are giving money to the Storm team that keeps the game I love going!

I have not noticed it yet but during the last leaderboard event, some of the slower players bought gift packages that come with boosts and jumped ahead of me. Also, if they haven enough gems, they may be speeding up the time it takes to craft things and are doing so, speeding up items that take the longest and drop the most points.

5 gems speed up Manhole cover gives 30 points if you have yellow boosted and that is what happens so JustKay is right if you end up with a few players in your leaderboard doing that and speeding up deliveries then do the milestones. Losing with zip points a few times will help in not getting placed with high rollers.

Leaderboard money lets a lot of players play for free and keeps the game going.

Meow. I would like to share my experience. Meow.

Every LB, there?s a 15point every 2hr thing ... let?s call this thing 15pointer.

On a recent LB, I was running out of time to get to 6500. I had around 5000 and 6 hrs left.

I?ve heard of, and got knocked out of top spots by, the legendary 15pointer. So I decided to give it a try.

First, I clicked the 15pointer, then the speed up button popped up. I clicked away 4gems, then I swiped bucket over the 15pointer, voila I got 15 LB points!

It?s not as fast as say collecting from chickens or cows, but it is FAST in accumulating LB points.

I also used the yellow boost because I would use less gems since I needed 1500 LB points (breakdown provided below).

1500 LB points (no boost)
100 speed up x 4 is ... 400 gems

1500 LB points (7 gem boost)
67 speed up x 4 is 268 gems plus 7 gem boost is ... 275 gems

1500 LB points (30 gem boost, double points)
50 speed up x 4 is 200 gems plus 30 gem boost is ... 230 gems

It took me less than 2 minutes to speed up 50x and got the milestone pet.

That was the only time I used the 15pointer. My limit is 250 gems since that?s about the cost when a pet goes on sale.

I?ve encountered many many many players who use the 15pointer. Some uses it from the start, a declaration so to speak, some uses it at the last minute, erasing the countless hours of hard work put in by fellow farmers. One time on my board, I had 4 players discussing on each other?s wall when they should stop using 15pointer ... they decided on 35,000. Lol.

My take is that LB is designed for high rollers. I?ve heard of high roller table. I wonder why there isn?t a high roller LB ...

Hmmm.. Everyone is competing so hard to be in the top this event! This is the first leaderboard I have been in where I haven't been in at least the top 6. That's okay though! I will leave this leaderboard to the competing gem spenders. Lol... I'm not wasting mine. I will just reach my milestones and be done with this leaderboard. The scarecrow thing doesn't look worth competing over and everyone else is already so many points away. I can't seem to get past 10-15th place haha.. I was in 2nd place last night but I have to sleep so when i woke up this morning was in 13th place lol.. Oh well!! Hopefully I get a pet from my white smash pumpkin and I will be happy with just that and the snail!! I'm still so tired from my surgery so don't really have energy to compete this time. Anyways.. Before the leaderboard started, I could be done with the 20 deliveries and could be preparing for the next day's first eight deliveries, even including difficult-to-craft-and-long-to-make items. Now I'm not even halfway finished, and I only have just over 12 hours to do so. I WILL finish...but it would be so much easier if I did not have this leaderboard event looming over me.

Seems like an issue with your internet connection, you should try to contact support, once this happened to me and they were able to help.

This happened to me once and support was able to help, if you got the leaderboard points and don't have the pet im sure they can give it back. Storm8 Support is very understanding and good to their players.

If you are on iOS, then you can store one of your snails or the iguana to place the Halloween Snail out. If you are on Android, I am afraid your Halloween Snail will need to remain in storage until S8 either lets you buy another Crawler's Hollow or to store pets.

Made it to 5th place. I'm not disappointed, to be honest. 1st and 2nd were always going to be out of reach, and considering that the only boost I had was the Manhole Monster which I received as a Milestone prize, I think 5th place was acceptable. Considering that I kept trading places with the 4th and 3rd place players, I think I kept up rather well, all things considered.

I still don't want to do another Leaderboard event soon, though...
