Well, all things considered, this looks to be a much more enjoyable event. Hopefully I don't get tripped up along the way by time constraints.

Oh, and before anyone asks...considering that we are going to be working hard for the Spider Tree...I have a feeling it will end up being like the Candy Tree(s) and the Icy Oak, in which we can collect something from it. HOWEVER...that is just my speculation and NOT verified at this time.

Oops...something worth noting: whatever you collect--swords, shields, armor, etc.--goes into the Barn and it WILL take up inventory space.

Just mentioning this because we just finished a collection event in which what we collected did NOT take up any inventory space.

(Hmm...now I really DO need to clear out all the excess Bacon from the last event...)

EDIT: Just checked...Piper's Armor did not appear in the Barn, which means it goes into whatever invisible holding space these crafted items sometimes go into. So, that's a plus.

These are the descriptions for both pumpkins:
Jack’o Lantern Smashable: Smash with a pumpkin smasher for a chance to win past prizes *one time use*
Grand Jack’o Lantern Smashable: Great Jack’o lantern has a chance to drop new pets and decorations! *one time use*

So from these descriptions, we can see that the normal Jack’o Lantern drops old items from past Halloween events and the grand pumpkin gives all new pets and decos :D so we will be getting some new items!

Can we reduce the sword drop rate? The event?s barely started and already i?m wasting time discarding dozens of swords. At level 94 I have space in my barn except when silly things like this happen during events.

Mine says pipers shield is coming from the feed things. And I?ve collected about 20 of them but no shields appeared. Side note i have not expanded to the mine yet.

Okay, seriously, S8, that's not fair. The first "day" of the event, we only have like 9.5 hours to complete the first day of "Jack O' Lantern Slam-boree"? In that case, why did the To-Do List originally say "30 days" instead of "9 hours"? Now, on the second day, it says "24 hours."

This is not fair, especially to those who, because this game has players from around the world, might be asleep when the event begins and have even less than 9 hours to get the first day done.

Stormie changed the prizes on orange pumpkin. It was giving out 2 prizes before, a pet or animated deco plus deco, but now each pumpkin is only giving out one prize, so not sure if pets are taken out. I’ve asked Stormie to return the orange pumpkin to 2 prizes like before. U should ask too. I’m saving my orange pumpkins for a day or two to see if there’s a change.

This could possibly be a mistake, but when i submitted to Jed?s Round Stable, I actually received two decorations? A pig banner and the sword in stone. And Jed?s Stable is also how invisible but if I press on where it is, it appears :confused:

Yeah this is happening to me. The first couple of submittions I only got 1 prize at both time but ever since I have received two prizes per submit. I haven't gotten a pet from one yet either. Seems like it will be hard for certain farms to get one from it but Idk. Just my guess because I know certain people who wins pets from collection event and stuff like this one but I barely can even with the big smashing pumpkin I only win a decoration. Guess some people are just lucky. Oh well.. Hopefully we all can win one or two from the smashing pumpkins!

The thing is, I know I have not smashed any Pumpkins since before the last time I spun the wheel for the Leaderboard event, in which I won a Webbed Fence...which means that I received it AFTER that last spin, because it is located above the Webbed Fence in my Cellar. However, the Blacksmith Anvil is not listed as a prize from the Round Stable.

So, where did it come from?

NOTE: unlike other items from previous events, this one says "Break your metal upon my anvil. Feel the strength of the sword!" whereas items like Piper's Dragon say "Won from Farm Story 2's September 2015 World Event!" If this is a decoration being released for this event, why is it not included in the list? If this decoration is from a prior event, can someone let me know which one?

At the risk of causing problems for future events, I have this one very specific recommendation...

Leave the drops for everything at 1 or 2 EXCEPT for those being dropped from harvesting any crops: it is making it extremely difficult to keep the inventory in the Barn down to manageable levels. Because players are ALWAYS needing to harvest crops, dropping 1 at a time should be enough...dropping 2 randomly is what is causing our Barn to fill up and the newspaper to explode with the same items and nothing else.

Everything else--Mine, Fishing Pond, Apple Trees, Pigs, Vines, etc.--is fine at 1 or 2...but perhaps harvesting crops can be limited to just 1?

The anvil is from previous event, same one as the sword in stone, can’t remember name, but all prizes except armadillo are repeats. The anvil was left out by accident I believe.

I think I remember that time. At this point, though, the newspaper is so supersaturated with swords that it is impossible to find a lot of things that normally appear on a fairly regular basis. I don't mind the drop rate being so high...I just don't want 2 dropping at the same time. 1 is enough for me, especially as I am regularly harvesting Wheat, Corn, Flax, and Sugar Cane for crafting Pig Feed, Pet Feed (need to use the Bacon, just discarding it seems wasteful), and Sugar (for the Cider House). Not to mention Potatoes for the Deep Fryer to get Morgan's Helmet, etc.

I got the fairy bird which of course they?re again pushing the 500 gem gazebo. It can also go in a bird tree which is not for sale and I don?t have one already on my farm. I thought it could go in the tropical bird base but I guess not. I really like this bird but apparently I can?t swap it out with another pet. Suggestions?

I sincerely don't understand this goal, I just completed the 23 knights and then got a pop-up for another goal set called King's Honor, Farmer.

It is collecting the very same items and making the armors in the outpost, like why didn't this show while I was collecting at the beginning ? Initially I thought it was some grand finale prize but no just another repeat of the faire.

On another note I smash a Grand Jack O' Lantern and got a inflatable, still no pets for me. S8 must dislike my farm! :(

So I got the goal pet bird but there are no options to purchase a home for it :(. And I also have a friendly ghost that needs a haunted mansion. Still no option to purchase one :( why are you giving away pets when I can’t place them on my farm :( also all the white pumpkins I’ve smashed have given me flags and one even gave me +1 experience points! They have all been duds! I’m so disappointed especially when some people are getting pets out of it. I really hope they add more pet housing to the store and ones you do t have to pay with in diamonds :(
